Review Biriyani Ghar - Bengaluru

Jani Jermans
Am not a biryani fan, however I gave a shot at it because of my colleague. I became a instant fan of it. It was just a simple chicken biryani. I heard there are other various options well. But whenever I have visited I just asked only this dish and it never bored me. The taste is consistent. Of course you have good hoppers, fish curry etc. But I became a die hard fan of the simple chicken biryani. I am sure you wouldn't regret for giving a try. The place looks very simple but the food is awesome, the price is very very reasonable. I am relieved to find a place in Bangalore where I get lovely food and it doesn't burn my pocket.

The place offers very and non veg options. Both are good. They also have Kerala food, which is really good.
Savio

It's the definition of a no-frills place. But it's a damn good place to go for decent food at a very reasonable price. Liked the appam and chicken curry. My friends did not enjoy the biriyani but the fish curry was good and the fried seer fish was nice. Though the waiter was elderly the service was good. Good for a quick lunch from office.

Amaaaaziiinnngggg fish curry.. Food is good. Place is kind of empty so ur initial reaction will be 🙄

But really it is worth and the price is moderate

Been here in the evening , and the place was deserted with hardly any people inside.Getting this clue we should have stepped out but instead we decided to try it out, which turned to be our biggest mistake. The food was horrible, looked like they served the afternoon food to us.The chicked was not cooked and didnt look hygenic.Highly recommand not to visit this place

We order frequently from here. They do home delivery. They are good in appam chicken curry and appam tomato curry. Their kerala fish meals is also good who misses their kerala food.. I recommend their kerala fish meals..

This place is doing quite ok , I have been for lunch many a times. Food is not that great but still ok. Pricing is nominal. Food and device is ok. For office people this restaurant really works for lunch. Nothing special about this place to say.

More of a canteen than a restaurant, this place has mostly office goers from the vicinity. Clean honest food is what's served. Their appam and stew is exceptional, but the appam's crust is a bit too flimsy. Another must have is the very Kerala Styled Fish Curry Meals which they seem to have nailed. Good lunch option if your looking for quick clean food.

Saturday afternoons are always crowded, we just wanted to escape the hustle and eat a peaceful meal, Biryani Ghar just below the crowded "No limits" caught our eyes, with a mixed review we decided to try it anyways.
The interiors weren't that eye catchy, but the buddha statute and the painings definitely changed our view on the restaurant,
The kerala style food took us back into the gods own land, though the tandoori was a bit under-cooked it still was delightful to munch on every bite,
The best part is the sweet lime soda! The best I've had in so many years!
One of the regular customer here, service is very pathetic here.when enquired about the delay in taking order after 20 minutes of wait, one of the staff told us that "Iam the only person available and there will b some delay,I can't help it".

Lovvvvve the appam and chicken curry. So delish!
Very friendly staff and pocket friendly prices!
Everyone should give this place a chance.
I make it a point to eat here everytime I'm in the vicinity

If you feel like eating cheap home made kind of traditional style food, this is the place. Specially the Kerala Biryani on Fridays is very tasty. Highly recommended.

Alas !! Its 4pm on a week day and I am stuck on MG road with a grumpy tummy craving for anything edible and there comes Biriyani Ghar(BG) to the rescue. With ample untidy place to park, the menu has a lot to offer for everyone who missed that lunch break. The best part about BG is surprisingly the yummy fish curry meals an not the Biriyani. They also serve kebabs , mutton and a variety of other North to South delicacies from their kiln.

The good part is you can ether opt to burn some calories at the self service counter or just sit back and chill in the service area. The ambiance is ok but the washrooms ...don't use one here.

Ok lets face the music BG is the only proper eat out around this area for a regular lunch / dinner and also turns to be easy on the layman's pocket.

P.S : Recommended for all after a bottoms up session at "No Limits " :)

Decent food, well priced and close to many work spaces. Service is an issue though, be ready to wait atleast for half an hour for the staff to take your order.

For some nice Kerala style biriyani, on a work day, this place is good enough. Conveniently located. Even the fish curry meals are quite satisfactory (though not many side dishes)

The price is decent....ambience is pretty good but the taste is not upto the mark....i had ordered chicken biriyani but unble to figure out whether it is biriyani or not

The only reason i like this place is because it is closer to my work place and they do home delivery. I do not really understand why they named the restaurant as Biryani ghar as they dont serve good biryani.
Also they should update their contact number online as most of the times their landline number does not connect as the bill is not paid and the mobile number is switched off.
They must improve on their service.
Food is good. This place is good for Appam and chicken curry , fish curry and Veg meals which i order always.

WARNING! taste-bud killer, enter at the risk of losing your taste-bud for good : horrible service, ice cold briyani, please don't try slice fish. Avoid eating here if possible. Just look for another place.

When a place is named Biriyani Ghar, one should hope that their speciality is Biriyani, and in this case its not! Biriyani is just colored rice with a few pieces of chicken. The other items on the menu are just passable. This is one place you can go if there are no other places around.

Amazing biriyani at such a cheap price. And apparently my veggi friends praised the dal a lot.
Ayan Datta
Ambience resembling old big colonial houses from inside. Chicken biriyani was good in quantity and taste. economical.

This place is run my Mallu cooks. So be sure of Coconut Oil and mallu food on offer. Is the Place great for a lunch absolutely not..... But it is a place where you can go n have a quick bite and get out at a reasonable price. Try their Fish Slice and Fish Meals. Sorry no idea about Veg ... Never had any Veg food there.

Wanted to have instant lunch around this area.. We decided to head out to this place though me being a vegetarian with a bunch of non vegs around:)
The Mushroom Dry and Veg fried rice was something I ate and it was reasonable, tasty and did not give me a feel that I was having it in a non veg resto ( unlike other places where even the veg dishes taste like the non veg) The place is pretty spacious, neat and really does not seem like the other non veg outlets/dhabasThe prices are affordable with two items costing less than 200If you are in and around this locality and want to have some good food with ok on pockets, then I suggest this can be a good deal

Is there a -ve rating option available? I'd like to use it to rate this outlet... -4.5 should be about right. You can expect hair, alien objects, pebbles, crunchy dirt in your dish ... true "street food" in literal terms, just that its served indoors. The place is frequented by office folks looking to grab a quick lunch, and well, it is quick depending on what you order, probably meals are the fastest ones available. Ofcourse you get more than what you order, but it depends whether you really want to eat those items that are not on the menu. It's really not worth reviewing this outlet, the food quality is bad and its far away from being hygienic....

Biriyani s are decent quality.. taste is good & Fills your tummy..

Love their non-veg meals/thali takeaways. Biryani's are more oily than anywhere else but quite tasty. Rates are very very reasonable for the ambience and taste provided.

Yummy biryanis and excellent non veg meals within budget...
