Visited once for dinner. Ambiance seemed OK.
Chicken Chatpata was good, but little spicy for my liking.
Phulka with Chicken Do Pyaza was a decent combo.
They have plenty of 2 wheeler parking space and limited car parking.
Service was good.
Totally worth every penny even though it's not that costly. The service was pretty compared to what we ordered and what was our expectations for that. Really loved the Wheat Naan.
Easy to locate

Their biryani is amazing 😍
Must try!!
Decent place with fast service ! Good for team lunch's and family dinners ! They have Bollywood songs played along with live match streaming !
Nice place, good food especially there wheat naan is just amazing.
Rating 4 star as evening gets humid inside and mosquitoes under the table keeps you distracted from enjoying food. Otherwise it is good place.
We went to this place to have lunch with our colleagues (10nos). from outside doesn't look like a big place but when you enter inside they have organised the place well and many people can be accommodated. we had booked the restaurant in advance, as we know that it will get crowded for lunch on Fridays as there are many companies nearby.
To start with we ordered murgh Tikka, chicken angara, masala papas, baby corn fry, mushroom Chilli, lime juice and buttermilk. Starters very good. All the starters tasted good. then we ordered main course. pulkas and chicken kadai, mixed veg curry and Paneer Butter Masala. Also egg biryani. V felt the dishes were worth the price. Phulkas could have been better.

Overall it's a nice little place to have lunch or dinner. don't misunderstand by looking at it from the outside, it has lots to offer.
On of my go to places for typical north Indian restaurant food.
Set order - the rich creamy and oh so awesome dal Makhni, one of the chicken gravies and some crisp butter nan. I like the consistency of the experience.
Nothing fancy and that is what you pay for. So complete vfm!
Good place to hang out with friends in bellandur.
Food quality is like okey kind i felt. Went for a dinner with friends. Service was good. Non veg starters wrre nice.
Had their paneer butter masala.. Was super yum with soft phulkas.. Chole bature was typical punjabi.. Their ice creams are a must try to.. Big thumps up if you want to try authentic North Indian food
I have ordered from this place quite a few times. The North Indian food is really good and the quantity is also good. I have tried Paneer tikka, Garlic naan, jeera rice, kadhai paneer. The quality is good too. I hope they will continue with the same standards.

Decent ambience. The place is superb for food. I went here randomly with friends group. Turned out this place has very good reviews already. Tested and tasted myself the food along with quantity is good. Must try the mango lassi and crispy baby corn!
Our go to option for basic food. Ordered multiple times at work and home. Food is good, less oily, medium spicy, good quantity, taste is good and service is fast. They're flexible on requests which also helps.
Favourite place for my online orders, they make one of the best chicken starters, specially tandoori chicken , kalami kabab veg also have good taste tal tadka and paneer dishes are very tasty. Most of the time I order online bt got to visit restaurant once ambiance was good .
Have been here couple of times for team lunch. I must say, awesome food.
Food: The highlight of this place. Starters, roti, curry - all upto the mark.
Paneer, baby corn starters are good.
Curries are so well prepared - malai kofta, paneer gravy, kaju masala (generally it tastes sweet, but at this place its slightly spicy). Flavourful, not too spicy - just the way it should be. Loved malai kofta.
Rotis - good. You can tear Naan with one hand!! Soft, fluffy. Have tried butter tandoori roti, naan, kulcha, wheat naan. They do have wheat variation for naan and kulcha, but that doesn't taste good.
Mango lassi is popular here. I have not tried though.
Ambience: It is a small place. Congested, crowded. Noon time it will be generally crowded. They do have hanging bamboo light etc. which mimic cinnamon (dalchini). But since it will always be crowded, slightly congested and noisy due to the crowd, you can hardly enjoy the ambience. But, again, must visit for food.
Service: Same reason as above. Due to the crowd, service is quite slow. Once, they even forgot our order and made us wait for more than half an hour.
Recommended? Yes, indeed! Go for the food.
A small sized eatery majorly catering to Office going folks' craving for eating Lunch out with colleagues. Definitely not for fine dining.
Cleanliness: ok; Ambience: nothing great; Staff: Courteous; Menu: Not a very large spread, but enough choices; Taste: Good...pls try out their Sophiya Tikka, a succulent Chicken starter; Portion sizes: Pretty decent; Prices: Reasonable.
Overall, a good outlet...needs to now experiment by adding more special dishes on the menu.
Excellent North Indian food...great quality and quantity...must try their roast chicken .. and dal tadka...very excited about this place in Bangalore...also a very casual ambience .. have to go back again to taste the other items on the menu.
This is one gem of a place in the bustling bellandur.
Location & ambience: Placed on the road next to sakata world hospital, it has a pretty nifty set up and has parking available. The ambience is desi style set up with large bamboo "Dalchini" hanging above you. The dinning space is quiet large and can accommodate large groups easily.
Service: the service is fast. The staff was quiet welcoming and was verh patient in explaining the menu and the unique ingredients or methods.
We order lots of dishes as we were a hungry gang of 4. Their prices are extremely competitive and the value is really nice. We ordered 3 starters, - prawns chilli, chicken chatpata and tawa chicken. Hands down the winner was Tawa chicken. It is a large staeak of chicken laced with butter and smoked to perfection.
We plan to explore more again..
Lovely food...Must try.
Highly underrated place.
Do not go to the ambience as its ok ok.
But the food will blow you up.
Whatever we ordered, tasted delicious. From appetisers to desserts, everything was way too good than expected.
Do visit this place. And thank me later.
Good Ambience, beautifully decorated with bamboo items. Food is amazing, pure north Indian taste. Good variety of starters in both veg and nonveg. Dal makhani is just amazing. Another good thing is they have option for aata/maida for breads. So you can choose as per your liking and health consciousness. I love their aata laccha Parantha.
Dalchini is an unpretentious place that serves a very delicious North Indian fare. This is usually our go-to place when we feel like eating a simple khichdi or don't feel like cooking at home. The staff is really courteous and they love their job. This actually reflects in the service. Since I'm a sucker for places that treat their employees well, this place gets an additional star from me :) They are very flexible with orders and customize it according to your specifications. Definitely one of the best restaurants in Bellandur
While heading back home after a tough day’s schedule. I tripped upon this lovely North Indian restaurant called “Dalchini”. As I was hungry as a bear I decided to go in for lunch. They had a pretty decent ambience and lighting but what intrigued me is that all their veggies were organic, which is new and interesting to try out. I had ordered a few traditional as well as modern north Indian dishes (Sofia Tikka, Biriyani, Veg Platter, Dal etc). I was happy to have had my lunch here, the food was tasty and filling. The veggies had that fresh feel to it and chicken was fresh and tender. I would definitely recommend this place for a light, not so expensive, North Indian, decent place for people in and around Marthahalli.
Visited Dalchini, a North-Indian restaurant located right opposite Sakra Hospital in Bellandur today. I realized they have a nicer-looking menu at the outlet than the one they've listed on Zomato (though the list of items is pretty much the same, or wait, I guess they've got more!). While the ambience isn't something to write about (it's functional - your regular chair and table arrangement, with hollow logs hanging from the top), I left satisfied with most of the dishes that I'd tried.
Service was impressive for a Sunday lunch - each dish arriving at regular intervals. We ordered a vegetarian and non-vegetarian platter each for starters (a blogger exclusive), an assortment of rotis accompanied by a few veg/non-veg gravies, and closed off the session with some yummy Indian desserts. Here's the detailed list of everything we ordered (with their respective ratings alongside; I hope I didn't miss anything):
• The Non-Veg Platter - 4/5 - A variety of kebabs such as Malai Kabab, Lasooni Kabab, Sofia Tikka (the best - marinated in yoghurt), Hariyali Kabab, Chicken Chatpata, Chicken Lollypop, and many more. Each of these had their own unique flavour and revived my taste buds in ways I couldn't imagine.
• Mutton Seekh Kabab - 5/5 - Loved it! Perfect mix of meat and spices.
• The Veg Platter - 4/5 - Comprised of Honey Chili Potato, Aloo Paneer Cutlet, Gobi Manchurian, Paneer Tikka, Spinach Cheese Cutlet, and more. This was one of the rare occasions that I found the vegetarian starters to be on par with the non-veg ones.
• Main Course - 3.5/5 - Veg - Dal Fry, Paneer Tikka Lababdar - Not bad, but since the appetizers were so good, the curries turned out to be less flavourful. The small portions were more than sufficient.
• Main Course - 3.5/5 - Non-Veg - Butter Chicken Boneless, Chicken Curry - Again, it was a case of appetizers beating the main course. Call me prejudiced, but I found the curries to be a little less appealing.
• Fish Chatpata - 3/5 - I suppose my tastes for seafood are way different. The flavours (that worked well for chicken and mutton) didn't exactly hit the right spot. Improvements expected!
• Rotis/Kulcha - 4/5 - All the rotis (plain, butter) were prepared well and soft enough.
• Dessert - Garjar Halwa & Rice Kheer - 4/5 - These Indian desserts helped close the session on a high. They carried the ideal amount of sweetness.
Overall, this was a fairly satiating session and I am definitely going to be back for more of those palatable kebabs. Head to Dalchini for some mouth-watering North-Indian dishes if you're in Bellandur!
Quick service, great food and friendly staff. We were a bunch of friends visited this place on a weekday, had a great experience. We tried pomfret fry, fish tandoori, prawn biriyani, soup, mushroom everything was yum except mushroom, mushroom was good but we expected a different flavour . Overall good place to hog .
The revamped version of the restaurant has freshened up the menu and the taste of the food. Ambience is regular. Manchow soup is a must have. Tawa Paratha is a must try. Though I am a vegeterian, the non veg options seem to be good and worth a try too!!
Feeling lazy to cook at home?
One of places which comes to mind on such days is DALCHINI.Delicious food served by very courteous staff. Ambience is ok.
Overall a good place to make your tummy happy.
We ordered dal tadka, roti, kadai veg and veg biriyani. It was a sumptuous meal for 3 and hygenic in presentation. It is very spacious and fresh air is a big plus. Good service.
I have been there with my friend.Since we are vegetarian,we ordered dal makhni, naan and tanddori roti.I feel this is the best dal makhni I have eaten in whole Bengaluru. One more thing I like it here is that they provide options for naan with wheat base(which is very rare).Coming to ambience,it is a family restaurant and ambience is also superb.i love this restaurant. So,if you are living in or near bellandur and love north indian food, folks please give it a try!!!!
Recently visited this place for lunch. Ambience is pretty decent, the place is quite spacious and clean.
Coming to food, we ordered tawa chicken and chilli paneer for starter, both were amazing in taste. Also, tawa chicken was oil free and healthy.
Butter milk was superb, they added masala to it. For main course, we tried dal fried, palak paneer and chicken jalfrezi. Daal i felt was okies, palak paneer was good whereas chicken jalfrezi was delicious. Small chicken pieces fried with onion and capsicum.
Service is bit slow, they should improve it. Staff was polite and friendly.
This is an awesome restaurant for both veg and non vegetarian. The service is also very nice. Full Worth for money. Definitely recommend place for both launch and dinner.
A good place to have good not so expensive lunch. Since I am a vegetarian I feel that it is jut ok but from my non veg folks pressure I have to put 4 stars since they feel that their chicken is awesome. So folks give it a try.😊
I live pretty close to this restaurant and whenever the cook bails out on us.. its a no brainer.. I have given a try to vegetarian options on the menu and I am never disappointed in my experiments.. paneer methi malai and dal makhani are my default choices..one rare find is wheat garlic naan which I haven't seen in any another restaurant.. the food tastes fresh and rich at a very economical price.. complimentary green chutney and vinegar laced onions make for the first round of appetiser.. the staff has apologised to me on occassion when they misheard my order or made a delay more than normal.. they have a big screen where they will put up sports if people are interested.. I always leave with a happy smile.. I hope they receive the traffic they deserve..
Edit 1: Dine-in service is little slow but delivery takes a very long time. I ordered a single dish which took more than an hour for them to prepare and give it to the delivery boy.
Dalchini is one of those places which aren't well known, but the taste of food overall is really good.
Located in front of Sakra hospital, it's just few meters away from ORR as well. Parking is available though limited space is there. The restaurant isn't air-conditioned but they have enough coolers and fans which compensates for it.
I went for a Sunday lunch, the place was hardly occupied but slowly people started coming in. Coming to talk about food and drinks, we ordered:
➡️ Mushroom Manchurian and Chicken tawa roast were good starters. While the Manchurian can be improved, the tawa chicken was on point. Must try item here.
➡️Lemon soda and watermelon juice were usual.
➡️Dhaniya Chicken was very tasty, with thick gravy and good amount of boneless chicken pieces.
➡️Dal makhani was usual. Went well with the wheat Nan and tandoori roti.
➡️Malai kulfi stick was okay. Can be tried if you like kulfi in general.
In conclusion, this is a good budget place for North Indian And Chinese food. Do try it for good food and good service.
decent place for a meal.. no fancy strings attached.
Simple and basic food.
Excellent service.Veg pulav is good to try. They should few more options for deserts
A good place to try and enjoy variety of Non-veg food. Started with chicken manchow soup, kabab and prawns for starters, Mutton curry and butter naan for main dish and ended with yummy gulab jamun for desserts. Pretty tasty and impressed for the first visit and would love to go again. good service, ok ambiance and yeah worth trying.
Good spicy food at good price. Ordered musroom masala and it was good, had that typical dhaba flavor what I was looking for. Delivery was fast and they carry card machine so don't bother carrying cash for recieving the delivery.
So I visited this place on a hot summer day. the place is good but a little too inside from the main bellandur road. there is no air conditioning but these stand fans which manage the heat jus ok. coming to food. it's great, value for money. the place is spacious.
Stepped in as the last option for dinner at late night (after 10:30pm, fortunately they were open with a huge TV playing one of the IPL matches) Don't judge the place by it's surroundings. The sumptuous food you get there would blow your mind as well as taste buds!! The kind are timely service provided when you were the last customer at the place is worth some EXTRA respect!! 🤘
PS: Could not take pictures as we got too much involved in the food and match.
Good Food with great service, the best place for north Indian food lover, Dal Makhani and Mouton Biriyani ultimate. Visit with Family and friends, Good place for Team Lunch and Dinner
This restaurant is having amazing taste. Have tried many things but the one which took my heart was a dish as simple as Dal tadka with Zeera Rice. It was as simple but as tasty as it can be. Its run by Bengali people so all the Bengali people can go try this to satisfy your taste buds.
Slightly costly thus 4 out of 5
The restaurant is always prompt with service and has excellent staff. They would suggest you as per your taste. Decent ambiance. Must try Chicken Tikka and Gulab Jamun Ice cream.
This is a place where you go when you don't want to go much further from your place. Food isn't that good. Service is lazy. Rather than dining out I would prefer for an online delivery.
Tried mutton biriyani from dalchini. The taste was good, and mutton was very soft. The place is right next to sakra hospital. The ambience is good. 👍
Have been here multiple times now due to proximity from my place. And the fact that it's food has never disappointed. Have tried multiple vegetarian dishes here and every thing has been at par.
Service is quite prompt here, which is the best part. (You will not wait for rotis for long :) )
Ambience is also decently good.
Food 3.5
Service 4
Ambience 3.5
Value for money 3.5
This is the first family visit to Dalchini though I stay close to the outlet. I had been hearing back about the food and overall experience and management lived up to the expectations. I liked the dhaniya chicken and garlic wheat naan. Good quality at affordable price. Thanks.
Very easy on the pocket, it is good place for a casual dinner. I tried paneer Tikka masala, which was decent enough. Khasta pratha was also per expectation.
The dessert choices are very limited. Gajar halwa was the best among the ones I tried.
Staff was friendly and service was quick.
Good place for having a tasty and low budget meal. The place serves a big list of main course options. The ambiance is pretty decent for a non-ac restaurant. Have stomach full of food without spending much out of your pocket. You can also have milkshakes and juices here which are also good.
Pocket friendly place with very tasty food. Their pickled onion with mint chutney is very tasty.
Paneer starter was fresh and their butter rice is my favorite.
A place with good eco friendly ambience. We had a quick lunch here with colleagues . The chicken starter we had was very soft and succulent. The kadhai chicken was good. The wheat double layered naan was amazing. Look forward to visit again.
Daalchini...one of the most important and widely used spices in India. The name surely is interesting.
It's a general restaurant with the basic seating arrangements where you can find good North Indian food.
Now we happened to be nearby for some emergency and decided to get food packed for dinner.
We ordered the below:
- Egg curry - one of my fav....fried boiled eggs in thick tomato rich gravy with balanced spices. Good dish.
- Chicken roast - this was their special that day and tasted good with well cooked chicken.
- Mutter pulao - this was decent with peas blended with long grained rice.
- Aloo jeera - boiled aloo fried along with jeera. Good per taste and best was not oily.
Good place to stop by for a quick unplanned lunch... Try this for good North Indian food.
Very good food and excellent service!! Great ambience and lighting as well. Would certainly recommend for a cozy dinner for two. Chicken and mutton preparations a must try
Visited this place with my office colleagues. The restaurant is quite huge, the ambiance is soothing, staff is courteous. It was crowded mostly with office people coming for lunch with their teams.
About the food, service was a bit slow but the food was good. Methi malai kofta is brilliant and so is tandoori chicken. My colleagues also ordered fish starter of the day and it was really bad we returned it. Apart from that everything was good.
I would say it is a pure North Indian restaurant serving good food, the cooks are either bengali or from north.
Opened right in front of Sakra World Hospital, decent ambiance and service
Have tried the below
- Egg Curry: Decent recipe without much of spice level
- Chicken Roast: It was Special of the day, liked the marination and chicken was tender
- Mutter Pulao: Good one
- Aloo Jeera: Aloo was cooked well and not much of oil
I have tried more from their kitchen and all items were good as per the taste. So overall will definitely recommend

Been ordering food from here for quite some time as this is the nearest to my place. This is a good restaurant for north Indiann cuisine. Try their hariyali kebabs and paneer. It's yummy. Good to order starters from here if you're planning a beer night with your gang :)
Decent place to have normal food, can be tried if you stay in nearby areas. Prompt service, good taste and value for money.
Overall: 3.5 / 5
The only food which I loved from here is chicken Tikka biriyani, lime soda, anghara chicken, chicken chatpata... Tried few other dishes.. but did not like them. Price is a little high..
Updating my review: gave a 4 ⭐ from a 3 ⭐ now, because I tried few other dishes which I absolutely loved 😍 Gobi Manchurian is just so awesome... Must try!! Wheat garlic naan is tasty, dhaniya chicken, chicken Tikka lababdar, and their chicken sheek kebab gravy is really very tasty, perfect!! Lime soda is a bliss 🤗
Things to work on: pls improve the quality of biriyani... Have tasted 4 types, and all were tasteless.
The food is so delicious. We have enjoyed lot.Specially the biryani with ghee is amazingly amazing.Keep raising the bar higher guys. I am so happy to visit here.
Great food. Though being a vegetarian, i can confidently say that the non-vegetarian food will also be equally great. Biryanis are lip-smacking good. Double layered naans give you full stomach. Also dont forget to try paneer butter masala. Overall, a very nice restaurant.
Good experience here. One must try kaju masala and bhindi here. Overall food is good.
Service is also very good. It's very rare to find North Indian food in deveabisenhalli, but in this restaurant you can find tasty North Indian food with phulka or tawa roti.
Spacious, good interior decoration, nice song selection during lunch and very tasty food. Located exactly opposite of Sakra and close to ETV, we had a nice time having food here. However we were not very pleased with the service due to the waitress being very new to the restaurant as well as to this type of service based job. I believe there should have been someone else senior to her to help her guide through this type situation. The waitress was clueless on majority of the items and we were running out of patience.
I've been a loyal customer for years, and the experience at this multi-cuisine gem never disappoints! The veg biryani is a flavorful delight, the butter chicken is rich and savory, and the butter milk is the perfect refreshing accompaniment. Kudos to Mr. Aditya, the friendly owner who adds a personal touch to the dining experience. Consistently excellent!
Food is just about average. Customer service is excellent. Ambience is great. Ample parking space, considering the location of the restaurant (on an one-way). Quality of food can be improved. We found a metal string in the fried rice we ordered. The bearer was polite enough to apologize and compensate. Overall decent experience.
Good experience with be there
Food is good and some what we thought it's cost..
Service is good👍
Fantastic Family Experience with Delicious Food and Charming Ambiance
During my recent family visit, we had a wonderful experience at this establishment. The food was delicious and fresh, the service was quick and cordial, and the rates were reasonable. The family-oriented environment, creative ambiance, and ample outside parking added to the overall convenience. Don't miss out on trying the amazing kullad tea! Highly recommended!
Food is tasty and fresh. Service is quick and staff is cordial. Rates are reasonable and does not look like burning hole in pocket. I went with my family. A family oriented environment. Ambiance is very good and seems creative. Nicely decorated. Outside parking is available. You should try the kullad tea. Amazing!
Overall good experience.
Good enough restaurant and not that crowded. One might find seats easily here and the service is fast enough. The food is quite within the affordable range you can have once a while and being near the office spaces is another boon. Doesnt require any waiting time, you can just walk in. It offers most of the indian veg and non veg options. The chicken is quite good here, would recommend to try it out for yourself.
Dalchini the wonderful restaurant

Food taste is good.
Visited here with team. Service is good
Ambience is ok
The menu offered a decent variety of dishes to cater to different tastes and dietary preferences. While the food quality was not exceptional, it certainly met our expectations and satisfied our hunger.
One notable advantage of this restaurant is that it is not overly crowded. This meant that we didn't have to wait long for a table and could enjoy our lunch at a relaxed pace. The lack of excessive crowds also contributed to a more peaceful and enjoyable dining experience.
In conclusion, if you're looking for a conveniently located restaurant near the office, suitable for small team gatherings for lunch, Dalchini is worth considering. With its affordable pricing, decent food quality, and a pleasant atmosphere, it provides a satisfying dining experience without being overly crowded.
They serve good yummy food at reasonable price. Idle for group parties as they have clossal sitting arrangement.
Staffs are friendly and service is fast.

Precovid days it used to be super full with people waiting to get a chair and nowadays you can eat there relaxed. Only the heat is unbearable and all other taste and decor remains the same. People near Sakra hospital can try this restaurant.
Went here on lunch, I really liked the ambiance and also the food here. Especially the palak and cheese cutlet were really nice. Methi Malai kofta was too good and paneer Tikka lababdar was also good. Definitely gonna try something more here. Even they have nice biryani and lacha parathas.
