This is a beautiful restaurant with an open terrace area and a swimming pool. The food was fantastic, and so was the overall experience. The view from this place is pretty good at night, where one can just stand overlooking the skyline

If you are a real foodie then this place is not for you. Apart from good ambience, this place is all about poor hospitality, burned and cold servings, unapologetic and careless managers.
Me and my girlfriend went for a dinner in pasha bar restaurant, it was soo nice , staff was soo helpfull, food can be little better .. The decoration of the table was really great which was unexpected by the pool side as it was last minute requirement . Tnx to Navjot and his team for making that evening special ..we will come back for sure ...cheerrrrssss ...

The place is just beautiful!! It blew my mind when i entered. Few tables out in the open next a long pool with minimal lights and a candle on the table. Best place to go with a special one and have a romantic time. The waiters don't hover around and give you the alone time you want. It makes it difficult to order though. The food quantity is very less as compared to prices. We ordered chicken wings and the plate had only 4 pieces. That was a bit disappointing. If you have money to shell out for a special night with a special one..this is the place!

I went here for a Sunday brunch with my friends. The food was average at best and the choices very limited. The price that is displayed in zomato is outdated. It is 200 rupees more than expected. The location is nice and the stuff friendly but since we came here for the buffet and the food wasn't that great I cannot really recommend this place.

Had the worst experience of my life..We got this place booked for Saturday brunch. On reaching the place, we were directed to 5th floor by the gaurd, and other ppl at reception. And then we get to a place where the pool was getting renovated and the whole place was empty.
Waste of time and energy.
Why were they accepting bookings online when the place is under renovation

My rating is 0 for this place

When it is a special day – you would plan a lot and look out for a best place to dine at! As we would love to make it a MEMORABLE DAY -

But since it’s a week day and wanted to be a calm and quaint place – choose to be at Pasha bar n grill

The moment you enter this place – you would fall in love with the ambiance –

Especially the calm and serene pool overlooking Bangalore city. Unsurpassed view 

It was my consort’s birthday and I wanted it to be special

We stepped in a bit early by around 6.30 pm and then staff confirmed they were open 

We were the only ones then.

We were given a choice and we choose to be seated next to pool.

We ordered our food – and had ample enough time and then we both took a short walk around the pool had great conversations 

The place was so tranquil one would be attached to the place with in no time.

It was indeed special loved it to the core 

AMBIANCE – exceptional

We sat there and then choose to order our food

We choose Warm chocolate brownie with butter scotch ice cream in desserts section.

Coming to the presentation it is really well done – looks palatable 

And then brownie was soft moist and freshly baked and topped with caramel sauce did the trick 

I would say – it was indeed sinful

Desserts steal the show though

Service was indeed good

They were attentive and had a smile upon their face – they made sure we were comfortable and were present when we need them.

Attentive and courteous staff I would say 

It’s on the expensive side – bill came around 2k for both of us .

But the main USP of this place is its AMBIANCE / Exemplary view topnotch desserts and most important thing its Tranquil and one would love the place for sure

We have loads of conversations smiles and added to that was flawless service and good food – INFACT A DAY TO CHERISH AND REMEMBER FOR EVER! ! 

Pasha BNG would be one among my dearest places  for a perfect romantic dinner with your loved ones  me n my consort were really beaming all through

Will return back for sure 

Great thanks to team PASHA BNG  FNB team

You guys made our day 

service 4/5
Ambiance - 5/5 exceptional one
Food - 4/5
VFM - 4/5 (but this place scores on ambiance view and best part its next to pool) -

I've been to this place twice and both the times the experience was same.
It's expensive. First thing. and it's awesome second!
It's a roof top restaurant with a pool which makes it an ideal place for those Ohh so romantic dinners!
Food- bad. Petty bad. Even drinks are horrible.
But don't judge it by food alone (yes, I know it's important 😝) the ambience more than makes up for it. The entire blore is visible from there and the cool breezes and the pool by the side and add to it a flowering tree on top. But that ain't the best part. It's usually completely empty. That's the best part! So you get fully attention and also all the privacy. That's where this place scores over places like 13th floor.
You need to inform the waiter how you exactly like the food or the drink then only you'll get it right. Was disappointed food wise both the times. Price is steep too. Guess it came to around 5k for two people.
But for ambience alone I give full marks!

Went for a Sunday brunch. The place is located on the terrace of Holiday Inn and Suites, Whitefield..somewhere around Siddapura.
Lovely pool side outdoor seating arrangements are there along with indoor. If you are a resident of the inn you can bring your swimming costumes and enjoy the pool as well.
View is great from the top.
The food seemed okay-ish. They had a lot of bread items. Some chicken, fish and shredded beef type thing. Some live counters for chicken and fish starters were there too. Expected a bit better taste from the food.
The waiters are very hospitable but the speed of service could be a bit faster. They took long time indeed to bring a second helping of some starters.
The drinks are overpriced as usual as they are in all 'boy's restaurants. Somehow there is no regulation by the government when you sell flavored lemon water above 100rupees..but what to do.
One thing that was a major turn off was many food items especially the breads, desserts and salads were left in open air and many flies big and small were flocking around. Major hygiene issue. Had to skip some dishes because of that.
I hope the management and staff keep up the goods and try to work on making the other things better so the customers feel their moneys worth.👍

The best restaurant i have ever been..
The ambience and service is soooo soooo good.
A lively place to be, mainly the pool side view and sitting arrangements over there are the best parts. As well as Food is also tasty.
A must visit restaurant.
I would like to thank the guys over there who has done very good service and also vinod .
We will visit this place again and again

Sometimes we wonder should we stay at the hotel and eat or shall we wander out and hope to get something better .
Well a big mistake to call friends over at pasha it turns out to be .
As soon as we returned back to the hotel we found out that the front desk suggested us to enjoy the wonderful sitting next to the rooftop pool. Little excited we Immidiately decided to go for it . When we Reached the grill we were told the restaurant had closed ( at 9:40) which upon confirming we found out that would close at 11:30 pm . Anyways once seated at 9:55 we placed others for a veg platter and some drinks . At 10:40 the drinks Arrived with two similar orders of the starters ( first mistake ) .
Secondly even after placing the order for main course ( at 10:10pm ) the main course arrived at 11:10 pm . Very very annoying . ( second mistake. ) over going them the food was good in decent portions . However , at 11:35 when we wanted to either wash our hands or needed something to wipe them with ( tissue paper _not provided ) 3 rd mistake . We were surprised with the behaviour of the waiters as they seemed least interested . As if they didn't want us to be ther . It certainly didn't seem like we were in a high class restaurant .
In the end it was an insulting dinner time with family and friends .
Perched on the 5th floor of this chic Holiday Inn property, Pasha has the doing of mostly everything nice. The ambience catches one's eyes first, as the closed seating area extends and opens all the way to the rooftop pool. It makes the place airy and spacious. Perhaps it is more embraced for its Sunday brunch. But we visited for a Saturday dinner. The menu lacked variety but wasn't all that disappointing. Our order: Basil thyme and honey martini, cosmopolitan, fresh lime soda and orange juice for drinks, vegetable platter for starters, hummus with pita bread, paneer tikka wrap and chicken wrap for main course and brownie with ice cream and malai kulfi for dessert. The drinks arrived quickly. And since we asked the platter and wrap to be brought together, they took a while to come. The tastes were delectable! The portions were generous and presentation, good. The team was amiable and attentive. They came in twice before the main course arrived, to apologize for the delay. One of them expressed that since the kitchen is under renovation, the food is being cooked and brought from the 'Tiffin Room' kitchen at the ground floor. The delay wasn't too unbearable though. The desserts, of course, stole the show! If only we had space left in our tummies, we would have ordered another round :)

Billing was at the table and hassle free. Valet parking is also available.

Recommended.

Meal for 2(with alcohol): INR 2000(Veg); INR 2600(Non-Veg)

Located amidst good spread of greenery is this restaurant on 5th floor of holiday inn & suites, better known for its lavish Sunday brunches but we decided to give it a try for dinner...tempted by its part open roof top with swimming pool set up with nice cool breeze with soft Arabic music. Good decor with bar set up.. Looks like a good deal for nite out with friends or private dinner without much hustle around. Service was a bit slow but I would discount that with the courteousness of staff around. Veggie platter and Wraps both veg n non veg were good. Desserts were super hit and highlight of the spread we ordered. All in all a good dining experience.

Now,I am not a big fan of crowd and I do like rooftops and poolside dining. So this would be an option to try if you are like me. However, what was annoying was that they did not allow us to sit at the poolside as apparently they had booked it for a couple ( oh yea! They booked all the tables for that mysterious 'couple'! ), who we did not see coming ,until the time we were there and bdw,we were there for a long time. So basically the poolside wasn't lit and it was empty. Though the inside ambience was also good(Dim lights, cozy and quiet). But apart from that the service was slow. The food was decent. I wouldn't say extra ordinary. And Oh! You could just skip this place if you are a vegetarian as they do not have many options, you can go through their menu to figure it out. The management definitely needs to improve. Overall a decent place but would I go there again? Nope!

A fancy pool side dining place.. Live music..
A good Sunday brunch place..
Now about food.. Buffet not really worth for vegetarians..may be you should go for ala carte while your non vegetarian friends can have buffet..One good veg starter is fried egg plant.. Then the uniyappams are really yummy with the cocunut chutney.. A feel of Kerala.. Chat is available too.. The deserts are good enough..

What a shame !

I really look back to this day and think what exactly was there for vegetarians?

I paid 1800 just to eat appam and pasta from live counter.

Yes there were some 5 odd starters but while it was time for the main course , I was hungry and disappointed 😞

I have never seen such little variety and lesser eating options to choose from , in my entire food journey.

WAY TOO OVERPRICED !
Visited Pasha on 23rd of Feb, 2016. Very disappointed with the food and service. All the items served were cold. Food was being served at avg time of 20 mins. Even when we ordered deserts they brought it after almost 30 mins. So finally we cancelled the desert order.
Even though the roof top, poolside set up of the restaurant is impressive, food and service is not at all impressive.

Utterly disgusting and poorly managed restaurant, it doesn't qualify to be called as a star category. Very poor service and one shouldn't expect a prompt service when you are going along with family. I atleast have a bad experience on service where they took more than an hour to serve the dishes, this is besides the food taste which to me is suboptimal. We ordered pizza and it is bland and no taste, ordered cocktail which came with rotten lemon in it, we had to skip our main course and came out with a bad experience overall.

Hope I could give 0. I made a reservation for a special occasion almost 3 weeks in advance and response was very good. They confirmed with lot of promises. Later they cancelled it at the very last moment. This is very unprofessional and selfish attitude. Would not recommend anyone to go there.

Had been here with a huge team for lunch. Was a classy setup by the poolside.. service was average... food was good.. We knew the head chef at the restaurant so the menu was set for our group by him. In fact, loved the little gesture of him walking across to check if we were enjoying the meal. The buffet spread was good. The desserts were amazing!

Too fancy of a place for a Sunday brunch buffet. Went here with a friend, had a great time together, just that the food is not that great, mainly because we are vegetarians. The menu had a lot of meat options in it, and a few variety of vegetarian dishes.

Place is airy, on the top floor of the building beside a pool with a view of the varthur lake I suppose.

Ordered a few dishes, had cocktails mostly. I'm sure the place would have great non vegetarian food, but vegetarian items were average. Rating it 3.5 overall mostly for the ambience.

Pasha at the Alilia is a descreet gem tucked away on whitefield main road. The property exudes modern architectural charm and its staff mirror its discreet quiet.
We had the sunday brunch on the occasion of my nephew turning one.
If you have little children in your family - the pool and the entertainment room will hold their attention.
The grill is quite nice. The hyderabadi fish tikka (on the tapas menu) was a very delicate basa fish done to perfection. Very unlike how most places treat hyderabadi flavors.

Im not sure we did justice to the entire buffet - the grills, tapas and starters kept all of us happy.
Its a good brunch for those who like quite places. The food is handled well and nothing seemed over the top (again: I dont think I really tried any of the main course so cant comment on that)

Thanks to my cousin who was hunting for a place for his uncle's birthday bash .
First of all identifying this place itself is a mystery as none in the area knows it except Google maps . for starters cross the shell petrol bunk on the varthur -marathahalli road its 200 mtrs opposite to shell petrol bunk . No fan fare , its would look like an haunted residence with cozy expensive furniture . up to the 5th floor you would find the windy pasha with infinite pool with clouds welcoming you in style .
Food was really good and the staff gave a brilliant welcome and the set menu chosen by us was well spread all . we had a variety of soup , Greek salad, varieties of starters baby corn crispy, veg tempura too tempting , Indian breads, kashmiri pulav -well blend not too sweet very well balanced with saffron and exotic fruits , cocktails and mocktails very well available . place neatly maintained and romantic place to take your besties for secret date

This place will remain in top 5 places of Bangalore.

Very less people visit here, may b coz its far and bit less advertised.
This place is beautiful, the pool adds a definition to the whole view and ambience.

Pls go to this place if you are a lover of thin crust pizza, they served delicious chicken pizza. I loved it. Being from north I like spice food. We ordered schezwan Veg Noodles which was so good.

I would give 5/5 on food. Do go to this peaceful place if you want to spend a quality time with someone.

The place's look and feel is awesome!!! Food and alcohol is decent! Most of the time their pool side is not available! Service is pretty slow! But the overall experience is good!

The ambience alone is enough to attract customers. The food quality is good but service is a little slow given that the kitchen is at the ground floor whereas the restaurant is a rooftop restaurant. Avoid during rains, don't miss it otherwise.

This is a classy place. The ambience is awesome. We went there on a rainy day so the pool side area was almost like a hill station and cool.Food is average.Drinks average. Nice place to go.

I went for the Sunday brunch at Pasha, and I felt it was one of the best I've had in Bangalore. Apart from being on the poolside, which is super cool, the spread covers a lot of items. The live counters were very good, the service was great. The entire staff was very good. They've given a lot of space between tables, which I really liked, and the view is awesome. Had a real good Sunday!

A great place to hang out with friends on a weekend. The rooftop and infinity pool make the ambience awesome. The food, music and drinks are amazing. If you wanna catch up with your friends and chillax, this is where you would want to be! :)

An amazing place to hangout with your friends. An awesome ambiance including an infinity pool on the rooftop. The management and the staffs of the place is very friendly and the food is also mouth watering especially the noodles over there. By far the best pool party I have been to. Its in Alila Hotel, Whitefield and its a must place to go for pool party lovers especially on Saturdays.

An amazing rooftop pool to cherish the brunch..
A perfect place to hang around with the loved ones.

Have gone there a couple of times & the place has never disappointed me. The cold breeze with an absolutely calm & pollution free environment made it just the perfect.
Cheers to Alila.

It was my cousin's birthday. So 9 of us including my uncle, aunty, granny went to this place. It was selected for its ambiance and quietness. We went a bit late around 2:30pm. The place at the first glance looked decent and classy. Noticed some unfinished work going on at the back of the hotel. It is situated at the 5th floor. It was Sunday so we happily went for the Sunday brunch. They had assortment of mouth watering foods aligned. They provided the menu card where a list of alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages were mentioned. I ordered virgin mohito and others ice tea. Starters were mainly beef, fish, prawn, chicken. Thai fish was specially ordered. They had live counters of noodles, pasta, appam. The noodles I had was much better than the other Chinese restaurant I ate. I had chicken corn soup which was pretty decent. The breads along with it were an addons. In desserts they had 6 different types of ice creams apart from different other desserts. Apart from the food there are few things I would like to mention about the place which sets it apart and likable. 1) The awesome view of the pool and if you want to can have a dip in the pool in the hot afternoon. 2) The people performing live band were really good singers. 3)My cousin bro is 1year old and when asked them for a cot they provided. Not only that they even provided a birthday cake for him. Also as my aunt's parents were veg and wanted to have some rasam and sambhar which was not included in the menu they prepared it separately without charging extra for it. Above all the place was quite, calm and airy far away from the hustle and bustle of the city life. A must visit place for those who want to spend some quality time eating food and relaxing.

A roof top bar without noisy crowd. Its a brilliant combination. Not many people know of this place. A must visit for romantic types. You can spend all your evening just talking to each other. Highly recommended.

One of the USPs of Alila is the roof top pool which gives this place an ambience worth the price being paid. I feasted on the buffet here which was satisfactory in terms of quality and number of items served! Looking for a dine-out on a Sunny Afternoon??.. This place will surely make your day :)

We had celebrated our 1st marraige anniversary in their pool side restaurent. Awesome ambience, an open-air bar coupled with great food made my day!

We had choosen 4 course menu.

Chef will take full care of your requirements, and the food his team stirs up is in every way delectable. we were pleased with the variety of the food, the quality of service, and Chef's personal vigilance to ensure all goes well!

Specially we loved the calamari,it was awasome.

This place has been on my wish list for a while!
If you're looking to get some peace and spend some good time just chilling and eating good food! This is just the place. The ambience and location food as well as the service is all top class. It's a must go !

After searching for tonnes of places on Zomato to dine on Valentine's, we couldn't find any as per our preferences. Finally, I saw this place under the Poolside Dining category. I've heard a couple of times about Alila from my friends. So, I went on further an booked a table near the poolside.
It was around 20kms from my place, and me and my friend took around an hour to reach the place. As we reached there, the manager told us that they've closed the poolside for the night. We were furious. He said that they've arranged a Valentine's Special Dinner in the Tiffin Room and he could give us a seat there. On seeing the Tiffin Room, we felt an urge to dine there...outdoor seating, beautiful little tables with candle light and serene environment. But, the other manager told us that there was no table empty. We told him that we want to sit near the pool, so he arranged it for us. Basically, there was a problem in the connection between the staff in the hotel. Nobody had a correct information.
After lots of ifs and buts, we were given a table at the poolside. It was just us, not even a single soul except us. We were fine by it. Finally, after a slow service, we gave our order. We ordered an Indiana Pizza and a chicken gravy with naans.
The pizza was delicious. Lovely flavours. Subtle taste. Then came the main course. On seeing the gravy, we were socked. They gave the gravy in a little bowl, it seemed as if they served us pickle. We called the Stewart and told him that we were unhappy with the quantity. He told us to wait. After a couple of minutes, he came back with a bigger bowl with more chicken gravy. He apologised and we were content afterwards.
We had a good dinner. Though the ambience was beautiful and very calm, prefect for a dinner with your significant other...it was still lacking professionalism. There was just one person serving us. Plus, when we had made a call for reservation, the person on the phone was pretty sure about poolside dining and on reaching there, the scenario was completely contrary.
So, I think they should improve the management. Otherwise, food was excellent. Had quality time.

I m giving this place 4.5 due to its ambience by the poolside.a perfect place for a rooftop dinner.service was a bit laid back .overall a good experience.
MUST VISIT ....
Was there in the evening on a weekday for a pre-arranged social gathering.
The ambience was great, helped by the pool, lighting and spaced out seating. The service area is seamlessly spread out both indoor and outdoor and this is very impressive. Given the whole restaurant had been booked for the event, it wasn't overly crowded and this helped enhance the good experience. Not sure if this the case on regular days.
Food and service were also good with nothing to feel let down about.
A breath of fresh air. And being an open air poolside restobar it quite literally delivers that.
Located in Whitefield, its certainly a long way out from home or my workplace but well worth the visit.
Had gone there for an office event and quite liked the place. The ambiance is world class, the small pool serves as a nice center piece to the outside seating area. It can get a bit chilly during winter, but otherwise a very nice place to relax.

The food was quite tasty and of good quality. Surprisingly the buffet arranged sported more veg items than non veg, but still had an excellent variety to choose from.

Visited the Alila Bangalore today for a day long Office Event. The hotel looked very neat and tidy. As some of us had reached early, and had the Poolside booked as well for us we had a leisure time getting sun bathed on the recliners. The place looked very cool and the beautiful villas nearby as well as the lush greenness nearby was a scenic beauty.

The event has started with tea coffee at the Pasha Bar/Grill area. I had coffee which was good; but I was astonished to see that the tea was served in a very ordinary road-side dhaba types small glasses. The event was staged at the Library and the room had all amenities required.

There was a huge buffet lunch staged. We all started with the Tomato Cream soup and that was the first disappointment ... it was not warm at all. Also, at standard restaurants and hotels I would expect butter cubes to be provided with soup as well along with salt and pepper. None was there.

Well ... moving ahead .. starting with salads ... was another shocker. Grilled Vegetable and Chicken Salad had a big "Green" dot beside the name. I had to tell the staff nearby to get that changed to a "Red" dot before someone vegetarian got shock of his/her life. The menu was quite exhaustive ... two different varieties of rice dishes ... Paneer and Gobi Dishes ... grilled vegetable dishes ... Dal ... a fish dish ... a chicken dish and naans. There was sidekicks like curd rice, papad, papdi chaat etc. The food was average ... taste wise; and they were cold as well like the soup. We had to tell the staff several times to get the food warm. The best of the lot was the Fish Dish which was very tasty!!!

The desserts counter was still a breather. Ras malai, Brownie, & Tart was good!

Overall, I see a lot of potential in this place and the experience to the visitors could be made better. If the food in the corporate parties are not good enough how come these people will ever visit with family & friends?

Last Visited: December 2014

Perfect setting for a Office party! One of the best outdoor settings available in Bangalore. The amazing Bangalore weather, the spicy food, the brilliant service and the ambiance all add to the appeal of the Place.

Do try the Hummus - Pita Bread, Baba Ganoush salad, Tempura prawns, Fish fingers and the cheese balls.
Was a tad disappointed with the main courses but starters made up for it.
The food is a tad expensive but you go here for the ambiance and not the food.
All and all a perfect recipe for a Pleasant evening.
Thumbs up to this place!
#RECOMMENDED

Been here for the Sunday brunch.I love this place for the rooftop+poolside. There was a live performance happening and yep it happens on all Sunday brunches here. The starters ranged from pancakes to waffles to french toast and many more. They do offer different drinks like the espresso martini, pomegranate martini, peach mojito and so on.They have live noodle, pasta, grill and paniyaram counters. The salad and bread range was too much I almost lost count. They offer too many spreads and jams.Desserts too were mouthwatering and they had a wide spread. But staying indoors would be better as it is too windy near the poolside...A must try

I would have never gotten here if it were not for the Office Dinner arranged last Friday... the reason I say that is because one could easily miss this place it is on a part of the Varthur Main road that you would typically fly past :)...

We had a Dinner arranged here, the good part is that since it is a hotel, parking will never be a problem.... so we went to the 5th floor (if I am no wrong) and the dinner was by the poolside....

The Ambience is really nice, good breeze because of the elevation, and a pool right int he middle - I would go back only thanks to the ambiance...
The service was pretty friendly and warm, however the food was the disappointment for a vegetarian....

I got to try two veggie starters I am guessing one veg kabab and paneer tikka. the Paneer was very succulent but not marinated enough, and the spices seemed a little raw to my taste... the veg kaba which I am guessing had corn in it ... was decent but once again over spiced... I would pick the kabab over the paneer.... (I am a paneer FAN)....

Well coming to the main course....
Their ambiance indoors is pretty neat as well... they have these country style tables with comfortable seating feels like picked out from a nursery rhyme... and pretty impressive...
The food again a little bit of a disappointment:
1. Papdi Chaat - my favorite Part of the ENTIRE menu.... rightly flavored a good balance of sweet and sour... also somehow kept crisp... :)
2. A good spread of salads...
3. Boiled rice and Corn pulao...now no complaints it tasted nice but the pulao was a little confusing it was a corn pulow but had the biryani fragrance to it :) ... pretty neat!
4. Dal Makani: No complains, a little too over spiced for me but would do with it ... surprisingly the rajma in the makhani was undercooked... I was a little surprised at this ...
5. Paneer: I am guessing it was shahi paneer again very very succulent and fresh paneer, but was blood red ... a little to bright for normal tamato or chilli coloring .... and the taste was also about average no better than the rest of the convicts...
6. Bhindi Masala: TOO over spiced....
7. Deserts: Gulab Jamun (SPRINKLED WITH COCONUT) a BIG rundown....
8. didn't try the other deserts.... I was pretty disappointed with the food and hence lost interest by this time....

The ambiance is excellent and so is the service however the food needs MAJOR improvement... the chef needs to get a class in vegetarian cooking I guess....!!!!

Overall: I would go only for the ambiance... so I will be very very cautious when to repeat!
Ambiance: 9/10
Food: 3/10
Service: 9/10
Value for Money: 5/10

The Sunday brunch by the poolside could do with a stronger focus on quality of food. While the menu does have a fairly large selection of cocktails and food, the ambience was a bit of a letdown. The building still looks under construction, with un-painted cement walls and grimy windows! While the restaurant is just adjacent to the rooftop pool, all the tables are only located inside so one can't really soak in the outdoor ambience while eating. The live singers are good but too loud, would help if they turned down the microphone levels a bit. Service is good though, with our waiter being very attentive to the level of rapidly depleting alcohol in our glasses!
As for the drinks, my Bloody Mary was perfect - strong, spicy and large. The other cocktail, an amaretto flavoured piña colada was pretty tasty as well but a trifle too sweet for my liking. The grills were quite disappointing, minuscule portions of prawn with barely any seasoning. The mutton skewers too were quite avoidable. The buffet has a selection of South Indian specialties, Thai and Chinese and assorted salads. Even though we reached just within an hour of the buffet starting, the salads looked wilted and not very fresh. The live Chinese counter was terrible, I ordered a portion of noodles with black bean sauce - roadside stalls sell tastier stuff! The South Indian food was delicious though especially the appams and mutton curry!
Dessert was spectacular - fresh fruit tarts, chocolate rum pastries mango cheesecake and tiramisu. All in all, this really was the highlight of the brunch. Priced at 1600 plus taxes, Pasha offers a decent brunch but certainly not the best.

This review is for the Alila Sunday brunch that happens at Pasha Bar and Grill. The food is not limited to that of Pasha's but the fact that it's right next to the pool makes for a perfect venue for the Sunday brunch. And yes, the pool can be used if you're here for the Sunday brunch.

We walked in, dot at 12 noon, for their Sunday brunch and fell in love with the ambiance. Open, non-clustered, plenty of sunlight and the pool right next door (though you can't really see the pool when you are sitting inside). When we entered, there were very few people but as time progressed, lots of people did drop in and yet, not even for a moment did this place feel crowded. Also setting the mood, was live music. And if the weather permits, you are more than welcome to lounge by the pool with your drinks and some nibbles.

FOOD AND DRINKS

The food menu for their Sunday brunch is HUGE! This includes:
- Breakfast Items: Croissants, Puffs, Donuts, Cheeses, Waffle, Pancake, French Toast, etc.
- Eggs: Made to Order, Eggs Benedict, Eggs, Eggs Florentine.
- Cheeses.
- Salad Bar: Lots of toppings. You can make your own.
- Tapas ( On Order Basis) : Fried Calamari, Bite Sized Pizzas, Baby Corn Tempura, Nachos, Mushroom and Olive Bruschetta, and much more.
- Mains ( On Order Basis) : Jerk Chicken, Miso Fish Steak, etc. In total, they had 5 items here.
- Sandwiches, Burgers and Wraps (On Order Basis) : 4 to 5 items.
- Indian Starters (On Order Basis) : around 4 to 5 Indian Starters.
- Live Counters: 1) Grills - That had all sorts of meats (nothing really for the vegetarians) and 7 different sauces for the same. 2) Appams. 3) Pasta. Also, I think there was one more, but I'm not too sure for what it was.
- Buffet Items: Was mostly Indian and Oriental. Options were many.
- Desserts: Ice cream bar (with lots of toppings), Cheesecake, Blueberry Cake (like a Blueberry blackforest), Brownies, Chocolate cake, etc. Was a relatively smaller spread, but the items were good.

In the beverage menu. they had:
- Mocktails
- Teas and Coffees and Milkshakes
- Cocktails - Not just your regular cocktails, but really interesting ones. And a huge menu to choose from.

As you probably figured, it is absolutely impossible to cover everything so we went with picks that we really wanted to eat and drink, rather than wanting to try everything.

- What Really Stood Out? Fried Calamari, Bite Sized Pizzas ( What a clever idea!), Baby Corn Tempura, Live Grills (for the non vegetarians) accompanied with the Wasabi Mayo sauce, Paneer Tikka ( super soft) Chocolate Brownie and Chocolate Cake.
- What Disappointed? The Nachos. It was Senor Peppito Chips with some toppings! This was a BIG let down. If you cannot make tortilla chips, don't have it on the menu.
- The pasta counter was decent. It isn't outstanding pasta, but it worked for me because I got to customize the pasta to my liking. They also had Thai Green Curry which wasn't spicy at all ( They have a lot of foreign patrons), but I quite liked the taste.

Coming to the drinks, this is where Alila really scored! They actually had interesting drinks. Not something you find easily. We tried a total of 8 between the 2 of us.
1) Peach Mojito (So good. With real muddled Peach), 2) Basil Cooler (super), 3) Pomegranate Martini (good) 4) Raspberry Cooler (Excellent. With real raspberries), 5) Frozen Raspberry Torte ( Very good, with real raspberries), 6)Lemongrass and Chilli Cooler ( Something unique, pretty good. But might not be to everyone's liking), 7) Passion Fruit Margarita ( very good), 8) Espresso Martini (Excellent. Not your usual drink. Many may not like it)

SERVICE

The service was fantastic. We were always served with a smile, empty plates and glasses were immediately noticed and cleared and the next order was immediately taken. And it wasn't just the waiters and waitresses. Every one, including the chefs behind the live counters were very courteous and friendly.

Also, on a special side note, I had called up a few days in advance to inquire about the Sunday brunch menu. Being a vegetarian, I wanted to know I had enough options that I would like. I called them twice and both the times the menu hadn't been decided. They then asked me my email id and told me they will mail me the menu once it is decided. And sure enough, a day later, I got a call from them saying that a part of the menu had been emailed to me. Kudos to them for remembering and sticking to their word.

VALUE FOR MONEY

One hundred percent!! Their alcoholic brunch is for Rs.1500 plus taxes which amounts to around Rs.1800 per person. Service charge is not included in the bill and I always think that's a good thing. One should have the freedom to tip as per how they were served. Oh yes, and in this money, pool usage is included too.

Would I recommend? Oh yes! Hands down, this is one of the best Sunday brunches in Bangalore!

Initially, getting through to these guys on phone for a reservation was quite a bit of struggle, as we called a gazillion times over two days but were not answered to, hung up on (accidentally I presume) or reached the wrong person who told us the restaurant staff is away.

We tried again the week after, and no such trouble. We made reservations for a table on the poolside. Since we live in Koramangala we don't usually venture out as far as whitefield to eat out - but if we do, we have high expectations.

However, I can safely say that you don't necessarily have to make reservations. There was not much of a crowd at Pasha, but I am sure that's because they're relatively new and unknown.

On the outside, Alila didn't look fancy as we parked our car and entered the premises. Once we got to Pasha though, we were blown away. The ambience is among the best in Bangalore. It was a typical drizzly Bangalore day complete with chilly breezes and the poolside tables would have been just perfect to get seated. Unfortunately, the seats were all damp because of the rain - so we agreed to sit indoors. On the bright side, the food wouldn't go cold as fast as it would have outside. The ambience indoor is great as well - candlelit and all that. :)

We had their pre-fixed 3 course meal which was priced at 999 per person. This included both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options in kabab platters. We got both. Everything was good, but we especially liked the chicken ticka, paneer ticka, fish (not sure what the name was) and the makhmali seekh. These were served with sides of 4 different types of chutneys and condiments. We loved their decor and crockery.

For the main course we got 2 daals (fry and makhani), 2 veg (mixed veggies and makai palak) and 2 non-veg options (lamb and chicken gravies). The daal makhani was below average - which was surprising as it is very easy to get it right, but the daal fry was really nice. Among the main course gravies, we really enjoyed the mild chicken gravy and the mixed veggies.

The main course was served with a large basket of freshly made breads - which was more than what we needed.

The main course finale of the murgh biriyani took the cake. It was the best thing we ate there, and the raita that it was served with only worked to make it taste more delish than it already was. If there's one thing I had to recommend at Pasha - The murgh biriyani would be it. A very fitting finale.

For the dessert course we were served ice-cream and gulab jamun. The gulab jamun was way more dense than I would like, but was not too bad either.

The service was attentive and warm, and everyone on the staff served with a smile.

Overall, it was a great restaurant experience and we would happily revisit - especially for the breezy poolside seating.

Not up to the standards..

We had a team buffet over here and it was an average food experience...

Ambiance is the only thing that I can talk something good about this place...

There is no single item on the buffet spread that is in par with the taste and and standards of a five star restaurant...

Bottom Line: Visit once for its ambiance... nothing else is exciting about this place

One of those days when you're feeling lucky I guess! We were two of us and went there to celebrate my husband's birthday. (Got a great deal on one of the online websites) The restaurant is on the terrace and we chose the farthest table by the pool side. The food as well as the service was great. Also the crowd was pretty cool mostly with young couples having a good time. All in all it was worth every penny!

P.S. - Initially we weren't sure of how we'd be received (because of the deal voucher) but to our surprise we didn't see any smirks.

Had their "Sunday lazy brunch" yesterday.Undoubtedly, one of the best brunches that Bangalore has to offer.Great roof-top ambiance, satisfying spread, attentive service and very good food! Priced at Rs.1200 + taxes without alcohol and Rs.1500 + taxes with alcohol,it is definitely worth it.Dont make the mistake of eating by the pool,it tends to get too windy and then the food flies around. However, make sure to chill there with a couple of martinis.

I went here last night and tried the 3 course meal. The starters were awesome. The Fish/Chicken was delicious. We even ordered the Paneer which was so soft unlike most restro in bangalore. All the starters were melt in mouth. We had a lot of starters, was excellent.
The chicken gravy full of cashew was also very good, we found both our dishes tasty.
The dessert was a bit of disappointment as the gulab jamun could have been better. I think overall this was the first restro where i loved the starters and like the main course.
Also, the ambiance was very good, it was more like a candle light dinner with a pool in between. I strongly recommend to people who've been craving to have nice north indian food.
