This is like my to-do place after work. After a long day at work we just come here to enjoy Thur andhra veg meals which is one of the bests I've tried so far. There are so many varieties and like every other veg meals this is also served on banana leaf to retain the authenticity. The good has always been my favorite and their nonveg is good too. Must visit place for some authentic South Indian food.
My love for andhra meal ends here only at Sreedevi...their veg and non-veg both have Amazing spreads to offer..and the service is super quick..unlimited thali is something you can’t get over it... have tried both their non veg and veg meals and I keep licking my finger..my fav Andhra meal place !!totally recommended
Nice place for the Andhra Meals thali. The rice and subzi are unlimited. Quality and taste is good. We also tried out couple of starters the Chicken Sixer and Chicken Pepper Fry, tasty with the latter being better. All in all a satisfactory meal.
Best and fresh meal. Neat & tidy place. This is my to go to place for meals. Tastes great! I have not tried variety here yet, but also I have not found such good meal anywhere else as well. (I can literally recall the taste in my mouth as I write this)
Sometimes each place has its own unique thing according to oneself. So I have this list of ‘forever’ places to go to. Shreedevi is sure shot in the list.
Shreedevi serves some pretty good authentic Andhra cuisine. Their meal comprising the trademark pappu, sambar, rasam, palya and kadi, accompanying with gun powder, gongura and avakaya pickle make it a sumptuous one. Their biriyani's are amazing as well. The food is not overpriced, and is definitely value for money!
If you’re looking for some authentic Andhra style food then this should a good place to be. I’ve been going to Shreedevi for almost 10 years. I’d be honest the taste and experience isn’t as good as it was when it was in CMH road.
Food: 4/5
Price: 3/5
Ambience:2/5
Ordered couple of times food from here. Nice andhra food . I really like there Andhra Chilly chicken, sholay kabab and Pappu daal with rice. Meals are good too but that much veg food doesn't go inside my tummy. Definately recommend if you are bored with usual Nandhna Palace and Nagarjuna food.
Visited this restaurant for a quick lunch during office. Although the items are decently good in terms of quality and quantity, the meals are heavily overpriced. A mini meal for something around 200 bucks is slightly unreasonable for a simple south Indian thali.
Good place for Andhra meals. Loved the he dal, rice combo , the red chutney . I absolutely loved the mushroom pepper dry. Good place for meals.
Landed here by recommendation from another Andra friend who speaks highly of Shreedevi's biriyanis. Tucked away on 80 ft road towards Old Madras road it can be very easily missed. However their food makes it worth the visit. It's quite sad that Zomato has rated this so low and this place definitely deserves a much higher ranking.
We tried their mini meals, liver fry, ginger chicken and a nati koli biriyani. Everything was excellent. What I really loved was that unlike other Andra restaurants none of their dishes were overpowering with spice and masalas. The biriyani was well cooked and very flavourful. The chicken had a very rustic taste and so did the liver fry both were excellent. I loved their veg Thali it was simple, homely and delicious.
All this for less than ₹900 which is great value.
Coming to the ambience, don't expect anything fancy. It's nice and clean similar to what you'll find at a Bheema's or Nandini.
I am a big fan of Nagarjuna but seems that I will be giving it a miss for sometime.
Highly recommend a visit or home delivery from Shreedevi you'll surely not regret it.
Fantastic south indian food. I have'nt tried very many south indian hotels. The other choice is Annapoorani at Indira nagar which does not appear hygienic. One of my friends took ill after we had lunch at annapoorani. Great service. The best so far. Will update

This place was on list since long time finally paid visit recently. Andhra restaurants in bengaluru are famous for their gun powder ghee combination also pappu which signature of these places. They didnt dissapoint me with Gun powder which was rightly spiced and amount of ghee with rice was best kick start to open the big meal. Pappu was good and they were generous on serving ghee. Sambar and rasam could have been better. Service is quite needs improvement.
In the entire lane one such andhra restaurant who are serving people good andhra food.
Along with my Family, I had lunch on 19-Nov-2016. Excellent ambiance and enjoyed the food. The full meals cost Rs.155 which has everything unlimited (Variety Rice, Rice, dal, koottu, poriyal, chutney, podi, pickle, gongura chutney, Sambar, Rasam, mor kulambu, curd, Payasam, Papad, ghee). My family was so happy to see the thambulam at the exit. We can enjoy own preparation of beeda !!
The taste is awesome and my kid (2.5 years) also enjoyed it. The restaurant is getting crowded easily. So we need to wait sometime to get the seat.
The negative side is, they have very few items in fish dishes. If they add few fish dishes would be great !!
An Excellent place for Authentic Andra/South India food. Please dont miss this place !!
Strangely, this Andhra place does not turn up in searches or browse nearby on Zomato or any other delivery place. They were located first on CMH road and the best part about it was the gunpowder which was better than the other Andhra places in Indiranagar. Then it moved to 80 ft road below spice curry. It is a good enough place - on par with Nagarjuna or Nandhini /Nandhana and other places in Indiranagar.
The meal is good and the hospitality is good and service fast. I like their parking service and the ambience as it is easy for walk in and walk out for a quick meal. I have taken very hungry friends for a meal here for a quick meal as there is not too much crowd unlike the other Andhra places.
The fish gravies here are also worth a try.
This place is one of the oldest in Bangalore. They have grown due to their quality of food and service. Food is tasty. Order anything and you will be never disappointed. The ambience is good.
The spice doesn't burn a hole in your tummy and the prices don't burn a hole in your pocket...for the size of the meal, it's next to nothing! You couldn't ask for better stuff...ensure you go on an absolutely hungry stomach and enjoy the Andhra thali course after course.
The fish kebabs were equally delectable and melt in mouth.
I loved there authentic Andhra style food. Liked the service, the food is tasty without making a hole in your pocket. I took a meal thali and it was tasty and the authenticity of having food on a banana leaf is great.
Shreedevi gives you the real experience of spicy andhra cuisine.
The biryani, the starters and the deserts will give you the andhra experience.
The meals, chilli chicken and fish made the meal a real delight.
Good ambience and timely service is an add on.
Amazing food, andhra thali experience was the best could not stop eating.... The ginger dry chicken also tasted amazing... Country side chicken biriyani... Had so much... Ordinary ambience.... Staffs are promt m.. Tryst me food is A class
Usually visit this place when am super hungry and not wanting to spend a fortune. The Andhra meals they serve here are homely and elaborate. It consist of dal, Sambhar, rasam, two vegetables, spicy chutney, pickles and rice with lots of ghee. Mostly the mini meals are sufficient for a foodie like me. Of course if u can eat till ur limits then go for special meals.
Total worth for every penny spent
For 120 bucks it is a total yes for eating till u drop
Well if you’re looking for a good Andhra restaurant around Indiranagar yep that is Shreedevi.A simple restaurant serving tasty food at great value for money. Meals and biriyani have always been my favourite here. The taste and quality of meals here is consistently good and i make sure to go the hotel monthly once atleast.
Ambience is decent.

If you are in Bangalore and you’re looking for a good Andhra Indian restaurant around Indiranagar, Sreedevi is worth checking out. They even do takeout orders. A very simple restaurant serving tasty food at great value for money. The Andhra meals here are simply one of the best in town. The taste and quality of meals here is consistently good. My favorite entrée to order is a mini meal for 120 rupees. The meal comes with rice, papad, seven kinds of scrumptious sauces, and creamy curd. They serve the meal to you on a large banana leaf, bringing out refills as you mix and eat the food with your right hand. I prefer to have the curd (a good end to the meal to calm the spice and aide with digestion) with sugar so it tastes more like a yogurt. The food is most savory and delicious during lunch on Sunday when the restaurant is busy and the sauces are piping hot and fresh, though the food is tasty at all other times as well. The curries and sauces are also different each time, ensuring that people (like me) can come weekly and never have the same meal twice. Service is efficient and simple. I generally find it difficult to finish their limited meals itself - so order the full meals only if you can eat a lot of rice!
Over all
Ambience 2/5.
Service 3/5.
Taste 3.5/5.
Value for money 3/5.
Overall 3.5/5.
Meals and biriyani have always been my favourite here!
Meals are amazing, the variety is pretty good not like other restaurants.
Biriyani is good, the quantity is decent enough for one!
The chilli chicken (Boneless) is tasty.
The ambience is also pretty decent
Food-9/10
Value for money-8/10
Andhra restaurant... have tasted the meals which is served by other restaurants like Nagarjuna/Nandhini...
Tastes good...
Served well & warm
Clean and good ambience...
Priced moderately!
Have just a hundred or so bucks with you? Want to eat like a king? Shreedevi is the place for you. The mini meal or full meals will fill you right up and are super easy on the pocket when you are in a pinch. Its Andhra style menu will tantalise the tastebuds like nothing else. A definite must try.
Went here for dinner with a friend. Had the full meals and it was super filling. The curries and the accompaniments have distinct andhra like flavours. For a good value for money and a nice ambience this place packs a punch in flavour and can easily fill up a moderate to a heavy eater. Also had the mushroom chilli which was yum. Will definitely come back for more and wish to try their Biryani as well.
Well, Shreedevi is slightly closer to our workplace compared to Nagarjuna. So whenever we are craving for Andhra meal, we chose either of the Andhra restaurants - Shreedevi or Nagarjuna
Shreedevi is located on 80ft road of Indiranagar, towards the Swami Vivekananda road.
My review is based only on the meals (unlimited/ mini) I have tried a couple of times. With the lipsmacking tangy-spicy Gongura chutney, salty avalai? pickle, dried chilly and Gun powder as condiment on the table, meal is served on a banana leaf. I mostly deep-dive into rice (well-cooked) with generous toppings of ghee, sublime Pappu (spinach dal), papad, palya and Gongura chutney. Ah! the perfect homely, comfort meal.
To be quite honest, I haven't tried their rasam, sambhar, sweet, with the exception of more (curd) curry.
I like the fact that the palya served along with the meal is not the same old potato one, they seem to change it up. Its different on every visit I have made so far.
The staff here is extremely courteous and generous with their servings. The seating is comfortable, and the pricing - at about Rs.150 for an unlimited meal, definitely value for money!

Ordered one Carrier meals on a lazy Sunday :)
Quantity sufficient for two Adults and one Kid.
I must admit that this is the only Andhra Food joint which serves meals with balanced spice specially the red mirch powder. Rest of the places wherever I tried was over spicy and not suitable for the Kid as well as us since we prefer less spicy food.
They delivered within 30 mins and was packed neatly.
Quantity and Quality both was quite good considering the price paid.
This place has served me many Andra full meals for dinner and lunch. Definitely my first choice for Andra meals in Indiranagar area.
Their andhra meals n few of non veg starters are good.
New location is better than there old cmh. Can get parking bit easily here than there.
This is one of the best andhra style restaurants in indiranagar. Used to be near the indiranagar metro station and now relocated to 80 Feet Road.
They serve good quality food for good prices. As like any decent andhra restaurant the meals is the highlight here. The biriyani is also better than most other andhra restaurants in and around indiranagar. The ambience is nice and clean. Service is also above par.
Overall a very nice place to visit if you are looking for andhra style food in indiranagar.
Excellent Andhra food, though this opinion comes from a vegetarian. The staff are very courteous and very attentive. The carrot 65, dhal and the curries are awesome. Negative is that they dont serve the Carrot 65 often.
The person in the cash desk is an old man who has not moved with the times. He takes delivery orders too and is rude, crude and outdated. This is one of the reasons that I hesitate to order from this restaurant.
Our never ending search for authentic Andhra restaurants in the city where we can have a simple but tasty vegetarian thali led us this time to Shreedevi in Indiranagar. It is a regular non fussy place. Seems quite popular for takeaways. As when we dropped in, there were a lot of orders being taken out on their bikes. As we always do, called them to ask for the banana leaf meal availability and reserved our table, which didn't really seem necessary. The staff were polite and courteous. Service was fast and efficient. Coming to the food, it just brought a huge smile of contentment to our faces. It was absolutely delicious. Comfort food, with generous servings of ghee, quite authentic and freshly prepared. What more can one ask for? The podi was just out of the world! Pick this place when you are famished so that you enjoy the most of it. Light on your pocket too.
Good food and good service.... Even when I entered at 11:55... They were ready to serve me...which in itself was more than welcoming for me
I have visited this place 3 times and every time i visited , I had a pretty nice experience. I always chose the Meals as it had a lot to offer both in terms of taste and varieties.
It is preferable to go during Lunch as they have more varieties during that time. The taste is pretty good and rates are reasonable. The Unlimited meals is prices at ₹125 which is pretty fair for the taste. The service could have been better.
One of my favourite take away restaurants in cmh road., though it has been shifted to 80ft road, indiranagar now. Spicy prawns gravy or dry and chicken butter masala is my regular orders. A bit spicy but tastes awesome.
I wrote a full review for this restaurant on my travel blog:
Go to deliberatewanderer.com then add /2015/03/best-restaurant-in-bangalore-shreedevi-andhra-cuisine/
Love this place!
I got to know about this place through #zomato , these guys are specialists in Andhra food. Exceptional tasty food with homely touch. Keep going guys!
Yummy delicious and good quantity food! A must go for a and ha cuisine craving! The biryani is way better than any and hr a place! Home delivery is quick and the food served is hot as well!
Their new place @ indiranagar is much better. This restaurant serves one of the best andhra cuisines in the surrounding. The service is pretty quick and good. I just love their fish curry that is bommadayala pulusu with steam rice and also the yummy biryani. However most of their foods are on the spicier side.
The meals are always good, My family love their food. We have them most of the weekends.
Have tasted only some of the varieties, yet to explore the rest :) Will explore all of them on the Menu shortly.
One of the oldest aces around in Indira nagar and has been around for 10+ years now. Pretty good andhra food. Andhra meals is very good and they used to serve sambhar in a small balti. Very nice and spicy. Visited around a couple of years back and quality has started dropping but a vintage andhra place nevertheless.
The urge to have andhra meals on a weekday for lunch got me hunting for a new place other than nagarjuna and nandhini! Thanks to zomato, found this place which is on 80ft road Indiranagar very close to Sapna book house! (The location on the map shown in zomato needs to be updated).
This place wrt to ambience is better than nagarajuna and nandhini maybe because this has recently opened. Coming to the food, they have an option of mini meals which Nag and Nandhini dont offer( if I am not wrong). But I went for the full meals( 110 bucks inc of tax). The usual andhra affair with pappu(Dal),sambar, rasam, dry curry, papad. The pappu here was not the usual one with greens instead it had some tomato in it! Sambar and rasam were amazingly tasty, esp the rasam! Would have loved if the dry curry on the day I went was either potato, lady's finger or tendli. These Andhra style dry curries with loads of oil are a real treat! The sides of gongura pickle, avakai pickle( lil on the salty side) and the gun powder were yummmmyy yumm! The extra additions in this meal were 1 gulab jamun and one small bowl of veg pulao( they could do without the pulao though)!
A meal worth the money and could be visited more than once for sure :)
Had one of the best #SouhIndian Meal off late. Had so much in #Lunch that I did not have anything else thereafter and still not feeling hungry. Loved everything from Ambience to Service, Food quality to Price. Rs 240 for two.
I had placed order for home delivery for one south indian meals and Butter chicken. The quantity of meal was huge.3 people could have easily eaten it up to their stomach full. The taste was good.Chicken was also good.I will recommend this place.Value for money.
Being lived in chennai for 2+ years i developed a taste of sapad meals. In bangalore i was missing chennai meals until i visited this place with my team mates for small get together. Authentic south Indian food, Pure hygenic. No better place than sreedevi to relish ur taste buds.
The quality and the quantity of the food is good.. We had south indian veg mini meals on a plantain leaf. Though the number of items were limited in that meal, whatever was served was too tasty and was authentic Andhra style food. Value for money is also not bad. Decent ambience. Service is good. The meal would have been perfect if the butter milk was served chilled. Overall, its a good place even for veggies.
Excellent restaurant serves Andhra food. Quantity is also very good. Price is affordable. Service is good. Must try the mini meals which itself is enough and more for one person. After food, we can have meeta pan which is free.
A very nice place for lunch and dinner. Particularly andhra style. Located in indira nagar. One can even reach by swami Vivekananda metro station or indira nagar metro station. It serves veg and non veg. Veg is preferable as non veg is mostly andhra style. Those who like moghalai may get disappointed with non veg. The meals are the good choice than la carte. They serve mini meal and full meal. Mini meal is sufficient enough. Sharing of meal not allowed. Unlimited sag or vegetable served, rice is limited in mini meal. The taste is very nice. Even pickle and chutney are available. Service is very quick and staff is co operatove, ready to serve. Spacious seating available. Sofas are more comfortable. Table sharing is common during rush hour. Rates are reasonable. One can try masala papad. If in Bangalore, one should eat mini meal once at shreedevi. Its kids friendly. Bearable waiting time during rush hour. Preffered for lunch hours. The food is served on banana leaf wgich adds to the new experience. On request, plates are also available. But prefer to eat in banana leaf, one get a different feel. Even spoon of ghee can be poured on rice which make rice more delicious. Its a stomach full, memorable experience at shreedevi.
Few of finest Andhra restaurants in Indiranagar. I had the Chicken Biriyani which was extremly flavoursome. The biriyani rice was extremly well cooked. Though you get only 2 chicken pieces which is a downer. The leg piece chicken was juicy but the other piece was quite dry. If you are here, you should try the mini meals and Biryani.
One of our favorite place for Andhra cuisine. On Weekends the number of items are more.
Overall its a nice place.
Very neat and tidy place...Food taste good...Priced better....Take always are better too
Food was good, spicy as authentic Andra cuisine. Few items missing from the menu. But overall good experience and courtesy staff. Ambience is great. Seating arrangement might need update, you cannot seat more than 8 in a group.
Good spot for tasty food.
Variety of Veg and Non veg foods are offered. And also have different varieties of juices.
Food is yummy, its hygienic and ambience inside the restaurant is awesome..Have a number of Seating area. The place is apt for eating out with ur friends and family...price is reasonable considering the quality of service. They provide Take out also.
Sri Devi Hotel is real tasty food of Andhra especially. The was food for Veg and Non Veg Both. You can visit any day and quality of the food will be well maintained by them. The overall taste of the food is really good. I would recommend this one anytime. Good.
Highly underrated Andhra cuisine restaurant. I'm a purebred Telugu guy and I think this place rocks. The meals itself is enough for me to keep coming back, tried the chicken biryani too. Absolutely nothing to complain. Keep up the good work guys.
If you miss authentic Andhra cuisine on any day, Shreedevi is the place for you. The best thing about the place is, the taste never changes.. it always has the same amazing taste...be it any dish you order veg/non veg. 10-15 years the down the line, i bet it would be the same great taste.
Amazing Andhra Biriyani. The staffs are very friendly. Food quality, quantity are really good and pricing too is reasonable. Parking maybe an issue. I don't think they have vallet parking service
Ambience and hospitality both are good.
Food is upto mark, its famous for chicken and other bon veg items, equally is meals. I tried meals ,its good, worth money, got sweet Andhra style curries, one vegetable pickle , thick curd, etc
There are two types in meals, full meals where un limited rice and sweet is available where in mini meals its not, other than that all items are same for both.
Cost is reasonable and food is delicious. i recommend to try.
Parking: no parking slot reserved for this restaurant, have to park on road
Best place for Andhra meals and biriyani. The mini meal is enough for one person, full meal is really big. They also have good tandoori roti and other tandoor items. Not a fancy place but provides consistent quality and taste. You won't be disappointed!
As the description says about this restaurant, it’s fine dine with Andhra Cuisine. The food quality and taste is awesome along with the service. The staff is helpful and quick. A really nice place to dine with friends or family.
