Review Mobydick - Bengaluru

Amarjith Solomon
The ambience is basic, spacious and warm. Food is excellent and a definite best. The menu holds a wide variety of choices. The pastries and desserts are brilliant and worth a try. The service is good. Cost is on the expensive side -1300 for two and there is a default 5% service charge on top of the GST. Since there are multiple restaurants in the same lane offering a similar menu, it is easy to get a table here because it is yet to gain the fame it deserves.

One good place after a long time! The food here is amazing! But let me start with the ambience. The ambience is good with lights so beautifully designed. The staff are seriously friendly. We got a complimentary dish and I seriously have no clue why! Coming to the food. The white sauce pasta was crazy!! I usually don't like potato wedges.. but After a very long time... For rest of the review.. follow me on Zomato at bakasura forever :)

Well the restaurant name itself sounds weird and funny. Jokes apart, went to this place since the truffles was very crowded but it never failed to Impress. Food was good especially schezwan chicken wings had perfect blend of spices with super awesome tangy flavour. Unlike other places french fries was crispy. Pizza's were decently good enough! Bit pricey but worth a try

Recently got a dinner invite at Moby Dick to sample some of the good food from their revamped menu. Excited, I reached this quaint little cafe style restaurant across 2 levels in Koramangala. As with any place in Koramangala, there is trouble with parking anything which has got 4 wheels on it, however the restaurant staff were kind enough to help & sort it out. Before that, the decor caught my attention, those double height ceiling with the two large chandeliers, hanging Edison lights, adds a lot to the rustic charm to the cafe like ambiance. Most importantly keeps the place well lit & Instagram friendly. But don’t let the cafe style decor fool you, the menu is quiet expansive, ranging from Indian, Italian, to Indonesian & Thai. Not to mention their, long dessert & drinks menu. I did wonder, how much they can churn out of their little open kitchen that I was staring at. There is only one way to find out, we started ordering, and I begin with an Tiramisu Cold Frappe. There was a mild flavour of hazelnut, that made the coffee delicious, but could not much relate to a liquid tiramisu though. It definitely was tasting great & was popular among the others in the group that tasted it. For starters, we ordered the highly recommended Signature Garlic Bread, which was a whole thin crust pizza baked as a garlic bread, which is a little unusual, in this part of the world. The thin layer of cheese on the thin crust, encrusted with garlic & some peppers. Perfectly cooked & crusted, was delicious & disappeared in seconds. The Mac N Cheese Samosa was an American twist to our humble samosas, tasted wonderful with the accompanied sauce, the best part the Mac N Cheese intact within the samosa’s flaky crust. For mains, with the various options I could not decide between Italian & Thai, and our friendly host Sakhi came to my rescue. While I ordered a Fettuccine Pasta with Wild mushrooms in a peppercorn cream sauce, she helped me order a small bowl of Thai Green Curry sample | Vegetarian Version, minus the rice. While we had customised the Pasta to be a little creamy, the wild mushroom flavours were beautifully mellowed by the sauce, with the fettuccine perfectly cooked. Kind they say, the proof is in the pudding, here we looked at an empty bowl in seconds, if not minutes. The accompanied garlic bread was better than the signature garlic bread that we sampled before. Our only complaint was, there wasn’t more of them served. Once my Thai Curry sample arrived, it just grabbed everybody’s attention, & I was in Thai Heaven when I tasted the curry. It was as good as you would get in an authentic Thai Restaurant, if not better. This definitely led to an ad hoc ordering of another proper portion with rice. I must admit, it was one of the best I had in a long long time. For Desserts I wanted to have the a Tiramisu, which unfortunately was on demand & had gotten over. So opted to try the restaurant’s recommendation, the Hazelnut Chocolate Mousse. I am indebted to these guys for suggesting this, it was the best dessert I have had in recent times. For someone like me, who isn’t very fond of desserts, with a very few preferences, Chocolate Mousse is like an obsession. To keep me interested in a chocolate Mousse is kind of difficult, cause so far in Bangalore, there are just two places which managed to make me like their Mousse. And honestly Moby Dick is going to be the third, am not sure if it’s the beautifully aerated but firm Mousse, was it the hazelnut touch, or the rice crispies in-between, without much exaggeration, it was just PERFECT. The Salted Caramel Cheesecake was another masterpiece, not to be missed. Code of Ethics I was invited by Moby Dick to sample their new revamped menu offering in exchange for my honest feedback & review. To stress again, I did not pay for the meal, but that did not influence my review nor did it generate any bias. I hope some of my constructive feedback helps them to exceed what is already wonderful food & excellent service.

Found it while hunting for good cafe's in Koramangala. Pretty decent place with good ambience and background music. Nice place to hangout for or have a small date. We tried Tom Yum soup (Chicken) which has the punch of tomato in it, Bang Bang Mushroom - which was not good with less mushroom and more batter, Bbq steak and wings are great dishes and the hero of the day was, blueberry cheesecake, it's so yummy, fresh and soft, that you can have the utmost taste in every bite😍. Good service and overall a good place to visit.

Nice place to hangout with friends. The ambience is really good and the staff are really courteous. I tried the peri peri Paneer Sandwich which was delicious. The chocolate waffle with vanilla ice cream was delightful, but it could have been made a little crisper from the corners. Overall it's worth a shot.

A well spent afternoon here with friends. The ambience is rustic, resembles a English pub...and the name just stands out. This place can easily accommodate 100 pax spread on both ground and first floor. The service is bit tardy with the servers sometimes being not so focused. The starters tried were 1.French Fries-good 2.Potato wedges-must try 3.Garlic Bread -perfection achieved. The chef has got it to perfection and a must try foodies. 4.Chilli Basil Prawns -too good.Well marinated and cooked to perfection 5.Fish Finger-good,Done well. 6.Mexican Cheese Balls-star dish of the day.The balls are full of cheese, deep fried and served too hot...mind your mouth.A DISH NOT TO BE MISSED. 7. Bang Bang Mushroom -a dampener, could have been far better 8.BBQ Chicken Wings-ok The main course tried were 1.Chicken Pepperoni Pizza-thin crust ,hand tossed and baked to delight 2.Chicken Supreme Pizza-equally good 3.Nati style Chicken Curry with steamed rice-FOLKS...JUST NOTE...THE CHEF HAS RAISED THE BAR WAY NOTCH ABOVE WITH THIS WONDERFUL DISH....NEVER EXPECTED IT TO BE SO GOOD.... HATS OFF TO U CHEF. 4.Mangalore Style Fish Curry with rice-good in its own class The desserts tried were 1.Blueberry Cheesecake-good 2.Salted caramel Cheesecake -LOVED IT...must try 3.Choco lava -could have been better presented Limited Parking available for 2 wheelers.Cars strictly no. Both cards and cash accepted. Meal for 2 costs Rs 800-900/- for 2 pax. Kid friendly. As of me,will be definitely back for more...

While other restaurants in and around Koramangala glitters with crowd-pulling themes, Mobydick delivers where it matters: a fine choice of food menu with decent ambience.

The ambience is just really good and amazing .the food is really good too ..I had a burger and apple pie with ice cream and it was just yum!

For the price paid, it's an okayish place. Loved the waffles though. Crepes were kind of disappointing. Would think before going again over there.

Did not enjoy the food at this place. The salad was bland, the burger did not live up to the expectations and the overall order was quite disappointing. However the ambience kind of saved the not so good experience.

Went to Moby dick for lunch with a friend 2 days back. We were walking to go Echoes and stumbled on this place. The food was tasty. Good ambience. Reasonable price. Had a lemon juice, garlic bread and two steaks. Will recommend.

Moby Dick is one of my favourite places to go to. Majorly because of it's wonderful shakes (especially the chocolaty ones). The food also has a lot of variety so you can satisfy all your cravings. Taste- 4/5.<br/>Good ambience.
Budhaditya Mukhopadhyay
A nice and cozy little but not diminished-by-the-big-names-all-around joint. I found the food really nice. I can say so because my mother who is critical about how food should taste liked the nati style chicken and rice dish and that is high praise. It has since become a favourite with me and my wife. The staff is courteous and pays attention to you which I find lacking in most of the places in and around Bangalore. Goes without saying that the food is delicious and the ambience makes it even more amazing. The presentation is good. I liked the blueberry cheesecake there. You want to have a friend's meet-up, don't hesitate to have it here!

how can anybody not love this place? i find this place quite impressive.<br/>cool ambiance, service is excellent, you get a high speed WiFi connectivity, food & beverages are decent. pretty much impressed with their menu.<br/>they have cool varieties of desserts and pastries, would love to visit here again to try and taste many more items in their menu.<br/>situated in a very prime locality of Kormanagala, make sure you check this place out when you are around Koramangala 5th block area.<br/><br/>Food - 4.5/5<br/>Service - 4.5/5<br/>Value for the money - 4/5<br/>Ambienece - 4/5<br/>Overall - 4.5/4

On Sunday I ordered Thai red chicken curry and steamed rice along with Blueberry cheesecake. The Thai red curry was so watery. It had so little number of chicken pieces. Also Cheesecake was very disappointing. It did not have biscuit crest. Not happy!
Rajat Dosi
Tried the Nutella crepe here. Should have been softer on the edges instead of crispy. But pretty much met my taste-bud demands, just what I wanted to have this evening. They are coming up with a whole new special menu soon, shall visit again then. So should you.

Pasta had no taste, soup is so disappointing what more should I be describing to show my hard luck trying this place out. Had to cancel further n get out.

We visited the place once and had a disappointing experience. Ordered the red velvet shake but got red velvet cake instead which tasted stale and bland. The salted caramel cheese cake was also cold and did not taste good. The brownie with ice cream was good though.
Ziyaa Boghani
The bread here is amazing! The complimentary breads with the dip is out of the world! I’d recommend any item that contains bread. <br/>They have a wide range of desserts that are brilliant.
Trinisha Thomas
Small and happy place with minimal but good decor and nice ambient lighting. The staff was courteous and prompt in service. We ordered Kasundi Fish, burgers and a dessert. Food was pretty decent. Loved the experience of dining here.

This place has got amazing ambience and the food is absolutely great. The service provided by them is too good. <br/>Absolutely a wonderful place to go with your friends for a coffee to hangout

The ambience is nice and I loved their crispy chilly lotus stem.I have never found the lotus stem dish anywhere else. My cousin had the juicy lamb steak burger and went gaga over it. The, blue berry cheese cake was just yum. The green apple lemonade completed our afternoon food exploration journey in Koramangala.

Ordered fettuccine with black pepper and wild mushrooms, and creme brulee on my visit today. Loved the creme brulee. It was absolutely perfect; custard well set and cold, and the bruleed sugar providing crunch and some bitterness to balance the sweetness and creaminess custard.<br/>Pasta was tasty, I could taste black pepper and garlic, and there were enough mushrooms. But it was overpowered by the cream sauce, making it a little bland. It wasn't bad but I don't like fishing my pasta out of sauce. Also, using sun-dried tomatoes instead of cherry tomato might be better to cut the creaminess of the sauce<br/>Overall, it was a good experience

Food is fine....very pricey otherwise...interiors are brilliant and so are the deserts....good place to chill .....can spend 1-2 hours peacefully inside with a group..

It’s been a while since I tried out a new place, have been going to the usual favourites over the past few weeks 🙂 Moby Dick in Koramangala is a cafe I recently ordered from for lunch. The place is probably named after the book‘s eponymous white whale. I got an order for a grilled chicken sandwich, BBQ mushroom burger and potato wedges and everything turned out to be equally delish.

It's a great restaurant with a nice ambience. In fact, Moby Dick was the first restaurant I went to after moving to Bangalore for college.<br/>The lotus stem dish is absolutely fabulous and the pizzas are try worthy too.<br/>Plus it's not too heavy on the pocket.<br/>

I’ve been here multiple times and I found lot of their food to be good , the service I encountered too was prompt and kind, ambience stands out just coz it’s not cramped out like other places and there is enough space walk about! Prices seems to be on wee bit pricier side but then again it is in the heart of the food street in koramangala. With regards to food there was only instance I felt was negative that is when I ordered veg pizza the toppings were put on top of the pizza after the pizza was baked which gave the veggies a really raw taste and it’s the first time I’ve seen a pizza like it, pointed it out to the management, promptly called the chef he said it’s done that way but explained to him it gave a raw veggie taste and instantly replaced with a pizza with the veggies baked along with the pizza . Hats off to the customer service, no arguments no begging no pleading just outright the customer is right policy, other places should try to emulate this kind of service

Extremely good place with crazy ambiance!<br/>Food was top notch . Quiet a peaceful aosphere with good service ! Desert was something that was absolutely outta here

This place is bright happy and perfect for cozy meetings. The food here is really exceptional. I lived the Salted caramel milkshake, veggie burger, ravioli and specially the cheese garlic bread.<br/>The service was with a smile and in consideration of the fact that we had an infant with us.<br/>Loved the place food and service!<br/>We are going to visit again and again<br/>

This place is a pleasant surprise. Great breakfast platter (with the best potato wedges in town) and yum desserts. Interesting to note that Mobydick is a sister concern of Calvin’s.

One of the underrated places in this area.we ordered for  Mexican cheeseballs and raviolli in pink sauce.the taste of both the dishes were really good.Ambience is suitable both of college crowd as well as working group.Reducing one star as the bit costly and quanitity is less compared to echoes and Trufffles situated in the same road. Will come back soon !

I went there for desserts, polite staff, quick service and quiet ambience. Tried sizzling brownie and crembrule, I loved both. Correct amount of sweetness. Will go there again for some snacks.

We got into Mobydick unexpectedly. Actually we were opting truffles and cos it was too crowded we went in here.<br/>Let me tell you folks amazing food. The barbecue grilled steak was yumm and tasty. The drink was orange lemonade and it was really really awesome. Even the burger was good. Just go in. Service was also too good.<br/>Price is ok, you can handle it.<br/>The ac was too hard on us. But i would definitely suggest you to go in there for a perfect classy evening.

Food is undoubtedly good but the service is such a let down. Never gonna visit this place again only because of poor and untimely service. They take an hour and a half to serve each item. Really disappointed with the service.
Nikhilesh Begur
Very bad service. Took more than an hour to deliver mediocre food. Ordered chicken wings, crepe and a burger, and the place wasn’t even crowded.
Varsha Viswanathan Varier
My ratings are mostly for the ambiance, as I really liked how spacious and minimalistic the place is. The staff seem a bit confused about the menu itself, they don't know what's available and not. Super slow service, we went during office hours and spent 2 hours to finish our lunch (mostly waiting). I had ordered for a grilled fish steak, which one of the staffs after half an hour came and informed is unavailable as they were still prepping for lunch (we were there at 2pm).
Snigdha Agarwal
Polite service, decent seating.<br/>Oreo shake is a must have<br/>Broccoli and cheese starter was quite delicious too<br/>It would be better if the place had some comfy sofa seating
John
Great ambience, terrible food!<br/>This is the first time I'm going to a 4+ star rated place on Zomato and ending up with such unsatisfactory food.<br/><br/>I loved how the place was set up, but my joy was short-lived until the food arrived.<br/>I hope they redo their menu and recipes! <br/>

It is a really nice place for Thai foods. I had ordered Thai rice and curry. And it was really nice. The service was really good!! My friends had steak and pasta. They liked it a lot. Happy visit :)

The place is great, though it is a bit pricey but still it is worth going. The staffs are really friendly and helpful, now coming to food, the burgers are really good especially the buns are really soft so you will need to handle them with care...😜. The pizzas too were good and do try the starters. We tried cheese kebab which were exquisite and mexican cheese balls which too were good. Advice for people who have big appetite, upsize your burgers, in desserts we tried creme brulee and cheese cake both of which were beautifully made and served, especially their presentations was really good and makes your experience worth while.

Had a chance to visit this place last week. Mobydick is definitely not the showstopper in koramangala 5th block. But it has quite a lot to offer you. Right next to Sherlock's pub stands a spacious cafe. they have two floors of seating arrangement. The place doesn't get much crowded as far as I've noticed generally. The day I visited we were only the 2nd group of diners. Nevertheless, the staff is very welcoming. The decor is good, with huge chandeliers engulfing the ceiling.<br/><br/>We ordered for penne veg white sauce pasta, Peri Peri chicken burger, green apple cooler. The burger was superb. The chicken was perfectly cooked. While the pasta was an utter disappointment. While boiling the pasta they had forgotten to add salt which didn't give any taste to the pasta. even after adding salt it wasn't that effective. After having quite some of it, I noticed a dead insect on the bottom. We immediately called the staff and reported them. They offered for replacement but we were airway full. But they coaxed a lot so we ended up ordering a brownie with ice cream which was again pretty good. The green apple cider was absolutely refreshing.<br/><br/>Food: 3.8/5<br/>Ambience: 4/5<br/>Service: 4/5<br/>Value for money: 4.3/5

I have been to Mobydick a couple of times for dinner since it is near to the place where I stay. I love the simplistic decor of the place..also the place is never too crowded but dont doubt the worthyness of the place for that as the food is quite good and comes at a reasonable price.<br/><br/>My picks would be-<br/><br/>• Kasundi fish<br/>• House special garlic bread<br/>• Nati style chicken curry with rice<br/>• Green thai curry with rice<br/><br/>Yet to try their steaks and breakfast items. Also their desserts look quite tempting specially the popular salted caramel cheesecake.<br/><br/>Service is friendly and prompt. The staff always wear a smile while serving. Pocket pinch is reasonable enough.<br/><br/>Bon appetit!!

Went on a Tuesday night with friends. We were the only people there. Had an amazing time. Courteous staff, delicious food and amazing desserts ❤️
AnuLovesFood
Visited Moby Dick on a Tuesday evening with a group of friends.<br/>We ordered the Broccoli Kebab as the starter and the Veg Thai Green Curry, Seafood Thai Yellow Curry, Indonesian curry noodles, Black Pepper Fettucine and Crispy Cheese Burger for the main course. Two bread platters were given as complimentary, which was great.<br/>The service is amazing, with the staff being responsive to suggestions. Pricing was average.<br/>Will visit the next time, particularly to see if my suggestion has been implemented.

It was Election Day and every other restraunt was either closed or completely full and that's how I ended up in Moby Dick. I got a table there instantly and didn't have to wait. It's in 5th block, Koramangala, on the same street as Truffles/Echoes/Sherlock's Pub.<br/><br/>It is a pretty good looking cafe.<br/><br/>Mushroom Cappuccino: One of the few savory capuccinos, this is a buttery foamy mushroom soup. Haven't seen a lot of this in restaurants but if you love mushroom and an almost savory soup, you should totally try this. (Or otherwise too, it's pretty tasty) 8.5/10<br/><br/>BBQ chicken wings: The chicken was tender and juicy. The sauce was really good. Overall an 8/10<br/><br/>Joojeh Kabab: This is a persian grilled chicken whose flavour is pretty confusing to the palette(Or it's just me, idk) I personally did not like it, at all. But the other person seemed to not mind it. Wouldn't recommend 2/10<br/><br/>Fish Finger: The crust was good and so was the dip. The fish was alright.7.5/10<br/><br/>Red Velvet Cream Shake: This was the highlight of my dinner. It was everything. It did not have a thick consistency. It was really really good. 9/10<br/><br/>Blueberry Cheesecake: The topping is everything. The filling was alright, not in par with the topping ofc, but it was alright. 7.5/10<br/><br/>Food: 3.75/5<br/>Service: 4.5/5<br/>Ambience: 4/5<br/>

So, recently I've been covering restaurants in and around Kormangala and this made me visit #Mobydick<br/>Set in the prime location of Kormangala, 5th block amidst the hub of many other pubs and restro bars, this place is a must visit for everyone.<br/>This place serves some amazing shakes and Iced teas and lemonades. My personal favorite is the Fresh Kiwi Lemonade. Mango surprise is a good choice amongst the shakes.<br/>I personally wanted to try the roasted turkey which was featured in their menu but being a seasonal item, it was unavailable. So, I decided to try the grilled lamb steak. Trust me, for all the steak lovers, you won't regret it. One of the finest steaks I've had in a long time. The other two items which I tried out were the pancakes with blueberries and spinach garlic noodles with crunchy vegetables. The latter was okayish and looked good with the presentation. It was simple yet presentable. The pancakes were not upto my expectation. When I had ordered for the pancakes with blueberries, o had a picture of blueberries on it rather than the blueberry sauce. The proportion of the sauce with the pancakes was way too much and that took away the essence of the pancake.<br/>Coming to the ambience, it's a simple yet eye catching place with it's ambience and interior decors.

With a simple yet captivating ambience, Mobydick has the perfect look of a cafe and it is spread across two floors. The yellow lights on chandelier and the walls, the simple decor, the plants on the walls, the display of mouth watering desserts, the see through kitchen, the wooden seating, everything just adds a good feel to the whole place.<br/><br/>After settling down we are handed the menus which varies from pancakes to waffles to crepes to pastas to sandwichs to burgers to steaks to desserts. There is a seperate menu for the hot and cold beverages.<br/><br/>The order is placed for the Pancakes with Nutella and Ice Cream add-ons, Waffle with Chocolate Sauce and Ice Cream add-ons, Classic Cold Coffee and Cold Coffee Mocha.<br/><br/>The beverages are first served in mason jars. The Classic Cold Coffee has a perfect blend of coffee and ice. The Cold Coffee Mocha also had the perfect blend of coffee and chocolate.<br/><br/>The food arrives next. The Pancakes are served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and Nutella drizzle along with a Nutella dip. The pancakes were crisp on the edges and soft in the middle.<br/><br/>The waffles here are soft and served again with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce. Both dishses had a generous dusting of powdered sugar on top. At the end of both dishes your tummy is full and you are satisfied with the food.<br/><br/>The ambience, the service and the food is great but the prices are over rated and it is more on the higher side of the budget. Would love to visit again to try the savoury dishes but maybe on someone else's treat :p

A nice experience here today. A simple interior with ample light and ambience. Staff was courteous, polite and sweet. We ordered chicken steak, chicken keema pizza, apple pie, blueberry cheese cake, and creme brulee. Hand tossed pizza was juicy with cheese and keema. Chicken steak was served with mashed potato and herbed rice. On the whole, everything was nice and a must try place.

Had their pancakes with brownie and ice cream..whoch was amazing... Finger licking good... Oreo shake is also amazing... Their pasta is not so great.. The taste is not good... .
Rajat Poovaiah
Takes 50 minutes to serve a burger (fast food?) and waiters just say "2 minutes" and hide in the kitchen when asked about the food. Virtually no meat in a so called steak burger and buns are half cooked. Really no plating skills either, so presentation, taste, and service were all as poor as they could be.
Sandip Chatterjee
Quantity so less, price is too high. This is not a proper steak.

To be honest I wouldn't have gone here if my friend wouldn't have insisted me to do so.<br/>for a reunion, we all friends decided to visit some other place and since it was an weekend and everywhere else was packed up my friend decided to go here.<br/>we ordered chilly fish, crispy fried chicken wings and chilly basil prawn as our starters accompanied by green apple drink, crunchy Oreo shake and peanut butter shake. the starters were something that I enjoyed having and also the green apple drink. it was really refreshing.<br/><br/>moving on to the main course, my friend ordered steak which was special that day, Thai curry rice and spinach garlic noodles and a sizzler.<br/><br/>My friend who ordered steak returned it because he found it not cooked properly. I appreciate the management for they changed it immediately.<br/><br/>the spinach garlic noodles that I had was better than the rest that was served to us. thought the chicken was made so crisp that one couldn't understand that it was chicken. the taste was nothing amazing to go back to.<br/><br/>the Indian stew with rice was the weirdest of all. it didn't taste indian at all. looked thai but it was neither indian not thai. my friend had two spoons and left the entire food.<br/><br/>the sizzler was ok.<br/><br/>overall not an experience to go back to. the price was over-hyped and was not at all worth it for us.<br/><br/>p.s. pictures are already updated

A very nice and simple ambience which is the first impression and an important one. Their starters are delicious and hand tossed thin crust pizza (11 inches) is just yummy. If you are going for the first time then order the dishes with chef’s hat sign before the dishes as they are obviously their signature dishes. I have had burgers in many places but this one stands out as the bun and patty are so soft that you won’t even realise that you have taken a bite of a burger and best part is there is an option to upsize your burger. Ask for their “dessert of the day” anyway they keep all the desserts on display so if you didn’t plan of eating a dessert after seeing those you will surely have one at least. I didn’t try their shakes but surely will go again and try.

Amazing and Affordable Cafe in the heart of Koramangala. It gives good vibes with a courteous staff and friendly service. A nice place to hangout with friends with good food and lot of options to choose from, for both Vegetarians as well as Non-Vegetarians.<br/><br/>We went there after a tired day roaming around Bangalore and found it worth it. Visited on a Sunday afternoon.. Very courteous and welcoming staff, place was modestly full, not too crowded. Great place for continental and Italian cuisine.. had the Peri peri chicken steak and the chilly fish.. both were absolutely delicious. However, food quantity with respect to price is less and could be improved. Overall a really nice place with a good ambience and good music..

Late night cravings for pasta and something sweet.... I decided to order from Mobydick and here's my take on it.<br/>Veg Alfredo pasta- perfectly cooked yet weirdly huge penne pasta in an Alfredo sauce which was too "non-veggy" for my palate (owing it to the mushrooms), with a super-charred garlic bread accompaniment.<br/>Crunchy oreo shake- it was a saviour as it cleansed that horrible flavour of pasta. But the quantity was less. Definitely not worth the cost.

Amazing shakes!<br/>The place is quite cozy.<br/>The hospitality is good, very congenial waiters serving with a smile.<br/>We had chicken sandwich, Mexican cheese balls, cold coffee and a brownie shake.<br/><br/>Fits well in the pocket too ;)

Looking at the great rating , i went to this place for some eggs . It was Afternoon and the place was empty . I ordered their make you breakfast with omelette and some potato on the side .The waiter told me he will give me complimentary bread with my omelette. Wow lucky me ! Bread with an omelette that too without butter . Omelette was not that great . But my main concern was the vibes of that place which I didn’t like at all . While I was waiting for my order , a man entered the cafe and started shouting on another man on the counter . He scared me so much , I felt like running away immediately. By the time my food arrived and I ate uncomfortably, the man kept on shouting .

A really good place to sit and talk or do your work for a long time. The place is wasn't crowded when we visited. We just had the peachy iced tea and the green apple lemonade. Both were good. You'd have to really stir the green apple lemonade to get the perfect taste, otherwise it's just gonna taste like mint. Before I did that I was really disappointed with the drink. It was only after I properly stirred the drink that it got its intended flavour. The staff were really friendly and courteous. Do visit. I'll have to visit again to try their food items. The place is beautiful set with its interior decoration and chandeliers.

Cosy ambience, great service and lovely presentation of yummy food. Their red velvet waffles with ice cream and chocolate sauce is a must try.

Very good variety of options but too sweet for my taste...

First off: Quit sniggering! You are clearly a troglodyte if you have not heard of the 1851 novel by Herman Melville, which in itself is a literary must-read, or the 1956 film made on it. And in case you are mature enough to have realised the cultural significance of the name Mobydick, prepare to immerse yourself in the fusion food offered by this restaurant in Koramangala, Bengaluru.

Mobydick..! Which is located in Koramangala, been for a lunch with group of Frnds..! Really loved the service and Ambiance is simple yet classy..! Food is amazing..! 😍

We went in there after seeing the reviews. I think overall we were disappointed with the food. The lotus stem and potato wedges were smeared with so much sauce it was like eating "gobi manchurian" in the darshini. We also ordered bang bang mushrooms which was just disappointing. The cheese inside had a bad texture. The drinks we got were mehhh.. too sweet and without character. for main course we just ordered thai curry and white rice just to be safe. That was good. <br/>Maybe it was just a bad day for us. <br/>Service 4/5. Ambience 4/5 food 2/5

In an area that is bursting with options for eateries, Moby Dick manages to stand out for its cosy ambiance, variety and taste in the menu and food served.
We visited this place back when it had just begun operations and the place was hard to miss with all those shiny lights and signage boards.<br/>
Ambiance:

The first thing that came to my mind when i stepped in was 'cosy'. Pale yellow walls, hanging light bulbs, wooden tables, this place will make you feel like curling up with your loved one or a book and a hot cuppa, or both! Unless you are like me who thinks books are loved ones too.
<br/>Food:
Overcome with all the warm fuzzy feels, we tries two beverages- Coffee with hazelnut and hot chocolate.

Coffee with hazelnut:

I am a self proclaimed coffee aficionado which means i take my coffee very seriously. The one i had here was delightful with the right balance of coffee and hazelnut flavours.  If you like a hazelnut tinge in your coffee, go ahead and try this
<br/>Hot Chocolate:

Warm silky chocolate mixed with milk and topped with thick chocolate sauce. Enough said
<br/>Alfredo Pasta:

Good sized portion, perfectly seasoned
<br/>Nati style chicken curry with steamed rice

Tasted good but could have been packed with more flavour
Verdict:
Ambiance - 4/5
Food- 3/5
Value for money - 3.4/5

Visited this place twice and their English breakfast is amazing!! The garlic bread that they give along with the complimentary bread basket is delicious. Tried their peanut butter shake and found it to be extremely sweet. The chicken crepe is good. <br/>The chocolate waffle with Nutella and fresh strawberries is one of the best that I’ve had. <br/>Would definitely go back for the English breakfast though.

We have crossed Moby dick many a times but did not really got time to visit this cafe. Fortunate enough that we got time to visit it today and wow, the way they present the food, makes it look so tempting that you just cannot resist liking it. My personal favourite, chicken lasagne and salted caramel cheese cake🤗

I simply love this place. The burgers here are super tasty . The BBQ chicken burger is a must try for all non vegetarians. The pancakes are too filling and yummy too.

I went to this restaurant to celebrate New Year and it was a trial . The food and ambiance was just ok. Not a value for money. Its only utilised when truffles get filled completely.

We went just to try this place and we we're very happy to find that it was a good choice. Whatever we ordered cheesy stuffed mushroom, pizza and ravioli was very good in taste. They give you different bread to munch when you wait for your order to arrive, which I find is a good gesture.

One fine evening, I went to Mobydick restaurant in 5th block, Koramangala for dinner. The location is excellent and easy to find. I wanted to visit a café where I can spend some good time and relax while dining. Looking at Mobydick, I noticed that the interiors were quite appealing and it’s a nice cozy place to spend time with friends or family. Although Mobydick is located at a prime location still it’s a space where you can find yourself free from the hustle bustle of the busy streets of Koramangala.<br/><br/>When I had a look at their menu, I realized that they serve almost every popular cuisine, from the local favorites to the international ones. They have a variety of mocktails, coffee, coolers, starters, and main course dishes. The food was really yummy, and I loved the taste. Everything that we had was cooked to perfection, which shows their focus and diligence in what they do.<br/><br/>Looking at the prices and the quality of food and beverages served, I figured out that this place also provides a good value for our hard-earned money. Quality of food is good, and I also liked the way they presented it.<br/><br/>I went with some friends of mine and it turned out to be an awesome evening for us. I had many of their mocktails and drinks, and all of those drinks were superb! My favorites are Red Velvet Shake, Chilli Guava, Melted Brownie Hot Chocolate, and Strawberry Lemonade.<br/><br/>After finishing the drinks, I tried their starters and they were amazing. I had Garlic Bread, Double Pepper Lamb, Mac n Cheeze Samosa, and Chicken Wings. My favorites are Kasundi Fish and Mac n Cheeze Samosa. All other dishes were equally good. I just loved the Kasundi Fish, which was absolutely delicious!<br/><br/>Before ordering the main course, as we had already noticed that they serve many cuisines including the local food, we wanted to try out different varieties. I had Philly Cheese Steak Burger, Black Pepper Fettuccine Pasta with Wild Mushrooms, and Nati Chicken Curry with Rice. In steaks, I tasted the Grilled Lamb Steak and BBQ Chicken Steak. Among Asian delights, I tried the Thai Green Curry and Indonesian Curry Noodles. My favorites are Black Pepper Fettuccine Pasta, Thai Green Curry, and BBQ Chicken Steak.<br/><br/>Black Pepper Fettuccine Pasta, which had wild mushrooms added to it was too delicious and I loved it. The Asian dishes were also tasty and Thai Green Curry was just perfect.<br/><br/>In desserts, I had their Sizzling Brownie, Salted Caramel Cheesecake and Tiramisu. I liked all the desserts and the taste was good. My favorites were Tiramisu and Cheesecake.<br/><br/>The service is quick, and the staff is well mannered. They are polite and served us nicely. The ambiance is good and it’s a silent, cozy place where we had relaxed and had a great get together to friends.<br/><br/>

Good food. Good ambience and fine service. Recommended much. Drinks can be a little better, though. Nice place for lunch or brunch. Can vouch for the Thai curry rice and steaks here.

Mobydick, a restaurant located at a prime location in Koramangala, Bangalore is truly a multi-cuisine restaurant that serves delicious food from all popular cuisines. The reason I emphasized on the multi-cuisine term is because they have a variety of food and drinks in their menu, from the local favourite, Nati specialities to Pan Asian, Bengali cuisine to Italian food, and American to English. Everything is served under one roof and the food is just superb in taste and quality!

Recently got a dinner invite at Moby Dick to sample some of the good food from their revamped menu.<br/><br/>Excited, I reached this quaint little cafe style restaurant across 2 levels in Koramangala. As with any place in Koramangala, there is trouble with parking anything which has got 4 wheels on it, however the restaurant staff were kind enough to help me squeeze in & accommodate a decent parking in the front of the restaurant.<br/><br/>With the major issue sorted, I was up for the challenge to where to come. I had looked at the menu before & had a decent thought on what to sample.<br/><br/>Before that, the decor caught my attention, those double height ceiling with the two large chandeliers, hanging Edison lights, adds a lot to the rustic charm to the cafe like ambiance. Most importantly keeps the place well lit & Instagram friendly.<br/><br/>But don’t let the cafe style decor fool you, the menu is quiet expansive, ranging from Indian, Italian, to Indonesian & Thai. Not to mention their, long dessert & drinks menu. I did wonder, how much they can churn out of their little open kitchen that I was staring at.<br/><br/>There is only one way to find out, we started ordering, and I begin with an Tiramisu Cold Frappe. There was a mild flavour of hazelnut, that made the coffee delicious, but could not much relate to a liquid tiramisu though. It definitely was tasting great & was popular among the others in the group that tasted it.<br/><br/>For starters, we ordered the highly recommended Signature Garlic Bread, which was a whole thin crust pizza baked as a garlic bread, which is a little unusual, in this part of the world. The thin layer of cheese on the thin crust, encrusted with garlic & some peppers. Perfectly cooked & crusted, was delicious & disappeared in seconds.<br/><br/>The Mac N Cheese Samosa was an American twist to our humble samosas, tasted wonderful with the accompanied sauce, the best part the Mac N Cheese intact within the samosa’s flaky crust.<br/><br/>For mains, with the various options I could not decide between Italian & Thai, and our friendly host Sakhi came to my rescue. While I ordered a Fettuccine Pasta with Wild mushrooms in a peppercorn cream sauce, she helped me order a small bowl of Thai Green Curry sample | Vegetarian Version, minus the rice.<br/><br/>While we had customised the Pasta to be a little creamy, the wild mushroom flavours were beautifully mellowed by the sauce, with the fettuccine perfectly cooked. Kind they say, the proof is in the pudding, here we looked at an empty bowl in seconds, if not minutes. The accompanied garlic bread was better than the signature garlic bread that we sampled before. Our only complaint was, there wasn’t more of them served.<br/><br/>Once my Thai Curry sample arrived, it just grabbed everybody’s attention, & I was in Thai Heaven when I tasted the curry. It was as good as you would get in an authentic Thai Restaurant, if not better. This definitely led to an ad hoc ordering of another proper portion with rice. I must admit, it was one of the best I had in a long long time.<br/><br/>Being a vegetarian today, I could not sample some of the interesting non-veg fares ordered by my fellow reviewers. The Kasundi Fish, Bbq Wings, & Chilli Basil Prawns looked beautiful & tasted good as per my fellow reviewers, & I trust them.<br/><br/>For Desserts I wanted to have the a Tiramisu, which unfortunately was on demand & had gotten over. And honestly Moby Dick is going to be the third, am not sure if it’s the beautifully aerated but firm Mousse, was it the hazelnut touch, or the rice crispies in-between, without much exaggeration, it was just PERFECT.<br/><br/>The Salted Caramel Cheesecake was another masterpiece, not to be missed.<br/><br/>With a satisfied tummy, a happy heart, I bid Adiue to my foodie friends, and headed home with a promise to return on my non-vegetarian days, with family.<br/><br/>Code of Ethics <br/>I was invited by Moby Dick to sample their new revamped menu offering in exchange for my honest feedback & review.<br/><br/>To stress again, I did not pay for the meal, but that did not influence my review nor did it generate any bias. I hope some of my constructive feedback helps them to exceed what is already wonderful food & excellent service.

Food was bland and cold. Pasta was like uncooked noodles dipped in chutney. Pizza was also underwhelming. Mocktails were so bad that they went to waste. Only the appetizers were somewhat edible. Spectacular waste of money.

Given there are oh so many options on the same street the ‘Mobydick’ is situated, this restaurant definitely took me by surprise and i’m so glad I stopped by for lunch here the other day. <br/>You walk in and notice the place is well lit with natural lighting and staff courteous. <br/>The menu is vast and has something for everyone. <br/>While I tried several dishes here’s what I recommend; <br/><br/>Mushroom cappuccino soup: while only few restaurants in bangalore offer this even fewer get it Right and this one was just perfect.

Located in the busy Koramangala Area, we stumbled upon this place a few days ago and decided to try it.<br/><br/>The new menu that they had launched recently caught our quick attention.<br/><br/>Salted Caramel Cold Coffee – Regular cold coffee mixed with salted caramel - What's not to like in it?<br/><br/>Peanut Butter brownie shake – My favourite Peanut Butter paired with brownie bits. - Loved it.<br/><br/>BBQ chicken wings - Crispy chicken wings drizzled with BBQ sauce - Tasted awesome.<br/><br/>Bang Bang Mushrooms - Button mushrooms stuffed with Cheddar Cheese - We just couldn't avoid a second serving of this delicious dish.<br/><br/>Mexican Cheese Balls - Coated with bread crumbs and deep fried<br/><br/>Masala Cheese Stuffed version of the Cheese Balls - Same as above - Slight change in taste. Tasted awesome though.<br/><br/>Potato wedges - Served with mayo - Had more Mayo then the Wedges themselves.<br/><br/>The Garlic Bread here looked like a Margherita Pizza.<br/><br/>Andhra style Chilly Chicken - Great taste.<br/><br/>Spinach garlic cheese samosa - Stuffed with loads of cheese and finely chopped spinach and garlic - Yum!

There is a saying "The only way to do great work is to LOVE what you do! " and Team MobyDick does that !<br/><br/>Moby-Dick; or, The Whale is a novel by American writer Herman Melville,<br/><br/>Its about Sailor Ishmael telling the story of the obsessive quest of Ahab, captain of the whaler the Pequod, for revenge on Moby Dick, the white whale.<br/><br/>That’s the actual reason behind the name for MOBYDICK resto café in kormangala<br/><br/>.<br/><br/>Its indeed a great place with amazing vibe and beautiful décor <br/><br/>You will fall in love with this place.<br/><br/>Ambiance – 4/5<br/><br/>If you are familiar with calvins Whitefield you would for sure understand that the design and décor or MOBYDICK is on similar lines ! its more like a sister concern of calvins <br/><br/>But again they are quite different when it comes to food n stuff they offer at MOBYDICK!<br/><br/>Stepped in with few of my friends on a Saturday noon, got to know from the staff that they have launched a new menu. <br/><br/>And we choose to try few of them.<br/><br/>And here is my experience –<br/><br/>Food and Drinks – 4.5/5<br/><br/>Hot chocolate: a must try<br/><br/>After a long time got to relish hot chocolate topped with whipped cream and bits of brownie. For the Serious Foodie!<br/><br/>From the makers of Calvin, a hardcore foodie s delight, presenting Mobydick. No they don't serve whale meat here. It's more a specialized restaurant catering to the different tastes and pallettes. Located in the middle of the major food joints in Koramangala 5th block, Mobydick is actually the competition!<br/>We were amazed by the classic decor and ample lighting. Loved the wood work. We dived in with the mushroom cappuccino soup which was quite interesting, and their signature garlic bread which is shaped like a pizza. Do try the classic which is the best. Loved their Mac and cheese samosas. The Fiery wedges, Bang bang mushroom and Mexican cheese balls provided the delicious veg options. One of the first joints to provide so many options with wings! Do try the Peri Peri Chicken wings. The broccoli cheese kebab was surprisingly beautifully cooked. I have say the Mobydick appetizer menu is far better than most pubs! <br/>I didn't hesitate to order the Nati Chicken curry with steamed rice. This was recommended by our host. And was it delicious!<br/>Downed a chilli guava mocktail to tickle my taste buds. And finished with the creme brulee and choco lava cake. The molten chocolate gushed out perfectly! Aah well why not have the Expresso Mojito for the 7th course. Truly Mobydick does wonders for that die hard adventure Foodie who really care about the taste and authenticity!<br/>

I went to this place without any expectations. It was very quiet when I get there. Staffs are super friendly. They helped me to get the best cake. Cakes are so damn yummy. I felt good inside when I tasted it. It’s expensive but totally worth it I would say. 180 bucks for one piece of cake.

For me it didn’t hit the mark. It was just ok. I loved the interior though and the dough of my crepe was very nice. Inside, not very fresh paneer. With so many nice options around, you guys def need to work on some improvements.

This is a quiet and lovely place. It has a very cosy look and feel and is excellent for friends, family and couples alike. <br/>This is my second visit in a year. Both the times , the taste and quality has been excellent. On this visit , the hospitality was extraordinary. We requested for a spicy pizza which was not on their menu. They slightly customized it and it was awesome. I would like to thank the staff and Mr. Ashish for the amazing customer service. Keep up the good work.

Had come here randomly when we were walking through the streets of kormangala 5th block. Since we weren't hungry, we thought of trying the waffles and shakes. <br/>I must say the peanut butter shake was totally amazing. The oreo shake was pretty good as well. For waffles we had ordered the one with brownie ice cream and chocolate sauce ( I can't recall the name). Anyways the waffle was good as well. I must say this place surprised us with its amazing shakes and waffles. <br/>The ambience was pretty decent and the staff were really courteous. Would love to come back to try the other dishes!

Located right inside the lane beside Black Pearl, this is a good place to catch up with your friends. The decor is nice and the place is spacious. If you are looking for succulent burgers and steaks, but do not want to wait in that long Truffles queue, Mobydick is the perfect place to head to. The pricing is easy on the pocket and the food taste good. We had Philly cheese steak chicken burger, Peri Peri paneer sandwich, Spinach mushroom stuffed chicken, Cheese stuffed chicken and shared a delicious cheesecake. Their lemon and peach ice tea was refreshing. The restaurant serves a complimentary bread platter while you wait for your order.

I visited this place with pancakes on my mind... But the menu on steaks looked so delicious so I ordered spinach mushroom filled chicken steak... Though it looked more delicious than it tasted... I didn't get any mushroom taste in there.. And also the chicken was a bit chewy...and as I always mention in my reviews, ambience matter a lot.. I really liked the place.. So will think. To give it another try...
