Review Zabi - Bengaluru

The Vision of Sound
This place makes their signature biriyani which tastes great. Definitely worth trying. The rice is made less, medium or spicy based on your preference. Chicken biriyani is served through the week and mutton biriyany only on week ends. It is an open kitchen and one can see it's kept very clean and hygenic. Pricing is very good. It's a take away place but there are a couple of tables in case you want to eat there. Ambience and service at the table are just ok; understandably so as it's more a take away rather than a restaurant.
Wassimuddin Althaf
One of the best restaurant who serves Briyani with tender chicken and good quality of jeera rice, ghee rice tandoori roti with ginger chicken gravy, which is the best combination of briyani and kabab in South India
Manoj Sudhakaran
Nice biryani and its been quite consistant like this for almost 5 years (i guess) , Also proud to say that i was one of their early customers, good value for your bucks. It is a slightly differrent biryani basically a fusion between the typical hyderabadi & the bengaluru Shaadi biryani. I highly recommend & if you like biryani's then surely a must try at least once.
Sunil Nair
Extremely delicious biryani. I think the sweet dishes have an acquired taste and I didn't become very fond of them. The biryani however is going for a reorder. Well cooked, great masala, good rice perfect chicken.

Good thing about Zabi is that here you get a delicious biryani with a great service and Clean/hygienic place to dine at. Highly recommended given that they do not increase the Price. Great Biryani as compared to so many other places at the same price.
Omer Mohammed
Tasty chiken biryani for just Rs. 80. Unbelievable value for money. Taste's incredible as well. Just perfect. Self service, limited seating outside.
Gokul S
Different type of biryani, they claim it is mix of UP & Mumbai style. Tasty biryanis, good curry with naan/ roti. Nice Interiors and clean place with pocket friendly pricing

a family get together place! The most hygiene biryani in town !! Ambience is quite good! i would suggest this place if you're looking for a cool and peaceful meal.. !
Sangeetha S
I love their biryani. One of the good place for a good veg biryani. Even mutton biryani is good but it is available only on Friday and Sunday. Chicken biryani is available everyday along with veg biryani.
Praveen Joseph
The taste reflects in every morsel carefully cooked and has deep flavours! Biriyani, samosas and meal or Roti of the day recommended.
Zainuddin Shamsuddin (Zzzzz)
The mutton biryani is great. It's only made on Fridays and Sundays. Other stuff is ok, I only go there for mutton biryani.

Pretty Good food available here ... Biriyani is my favorite in this place

Biryani is good. Best known for their biryanis. Better to take parcel or home delivery.

Here you will get delicious biryani... Yummy. Most of the times I'll take biryani here.

Went in for a quick breakfast. Loved the dosa, onion dosa and masala dosa. Quite nice staff and good service. Might order more from here to try their biryani. The sambar and chutney were superb, just like homemade.

I think this is one of the BEST places in Bangalore for a great plate of biryani! It tastes soooo delicious and is perfectly balanced - not too spicy, not too bland. Their portions are generous and there's great value for money!

Ordered Chicken Biriyani through Foodpanda deals. Biriyani is ok ok but served Old Raita/Spoiled which is already having the Spoiled smell. Requesting you to check before serving or delivering
Ndseher
The size of samosa was small compared to last time we had ordered
Shaoor Ruknuddin
Tried their mutton biryani it was good. Decent quantity. Self service kind of restaurant. Ambience is ok. There are not many options to try.
Abizer Hazrat
Tried their mutton biryani today, which was made out of basmati rice, but very spicy. I wanted to try their zarda, as it's rarely dish but unfortunately was not available. I also ordered a chicken gravy, which was not upto the make, with 2 very small pieces of chicken. To summarize, if you like spice biryani, you can give this place a try, but stay away from the gravy.

the total bill was rs.360. even on requesting the delivery person to get rs 500 change he failed to get it resulting in confusion delay and incinvenience.

Ordered home couple of times. Found to be consistent and fresh. Will order again. Limited variety of menu, strictly for biriyani. Starters are also good.
Sonia Modi
Horrible food served in name of biryani. I had ordered vegetable biryani for home delivery. The rice was thick one like boiled rice quality, there was a typical smell of rice. The dish served a blur on the name of biryani. It was plain rice sauted in so called peas with some dry masala. Guys, Pls don't order from here. Packaging was very poor. The raita and baigan salan served were equally poor quality.
Drumeel Deshmukh
Well looking at the menu the place looks too fancy, but it's a small outlet with approx 3-4 tables. It's good for take away as it projects that's it's Biryani is very good. My suggestion is that it's ok . Never tried any starters so not rating in that but Biryani is ok.
SAi
Biryani is average. It's very plain and blant. Would not recommend!<br/>The kebabs were good but it took almost 15-20 minutes for it to be served! The menu is limited and roti combo was even worst!
SATYAJIT
Menue is limited to Biriyani and chicken curry. Quality is nOt upto the mark. Ambience is not meant for family gathering.staffs are limited and not friendly.<br/><br/><br/>
Prince Gopalakrishnan
It's a Oki place to have dinner or whatever it may. It's was empty when I went there for my dinner. Ordered chicken briyani and kabab. It was not tasty.
Sailee Sansgiri
Pathetic service. Ordered food online through zomato. The food arrived 40 minutes late, and absolutely cold and inedible.<br/>Highly disappointed. Will not be ordering ever again.

Good food especially when you are really hungry. Chicken biryani was good. Tasty and didn't let me down. Delivery service takes 60mins so try ordering early. Worth the wait. Must try on lazy Sundays when u don't want to get out of the house.

A long day out on errands had me ravenous and since it was almost 4 pm, I was wondering where to get some food when I came across this place. To be sure, I checked if food was available and was lucky enough to get a Yes! <br/><br/>This area is not my usual haunt and hence I did check on Zomato and found the mixed reviews reason enough to try their biryani. <br/><br/>The decor is simple with around 5 to 6 tables. What impressed me was their open kitchen right behind the billing and packing area. It was one of the cleanest kitchens I have seen and I understand from them that all the cooking is done here itself including the biryani. <br/><br/>Their menu is no frills one having 3 kinds of biryani - Chicken, Mutton and Veg biryani of which Mutton is available only on Fridays and Sundays. They also have starters such as Chicken Kebab (with Bone and boneless), Shami Kebab, Chicken Samosa, Veg Samosa and Meal of the day along with selective drinks priced at MRP. For dessert they have Zarda which is rice dessert made with dry fruits and pineapple. <br/>The reason for me to mention the menu is that the above is the entire menu and I am glad to notice they are sticking to what they know best and not including items for the sake of a larger menu. <br/><br/>Ordered for a Chicken Biryani and boneless chicken kebabs as a takeaway. The packaging is well done and the amount of biryani provided is very good for 150 bucks! The biryani taste packs quite a punch in terms of flavour and spices. The kebabs were my favourite. Though deep fried in oil, the kebab was not oily or greasy and tasted very good. <br/><br/>I am definitely returning her to try their Mutton Biryani next time.
Prajwal Prabhu
Zabi is an ideal place if you want to have the tenderest chicken in town. The biryani has an amazing aroma and flavour of Indian spices and is served with raita and tamarind curry as an accompaniment. Kebab is a must try apetizzer in zabi and tastes best along with sweet date chutney.

This is regarding delivery order I placed online.<br/>After one hour and no call from restaurant or delivery guy, i called up restaurant and got to know that my number was not reachable [My phone was switched on all time] and they returned order back to restaurant 30 mins ago.<br/><br/>This happens sometimes and that I can understand, what I don't get is when I called they said my order was sold to others and can they send chicken briyani instead of mutton.<br/>This is absolute worst because they have sold an item to a customer and resold it to someone else 30 mins back but did not have courtesy to inform me. <br/>They should have cancelled online order before they sell items to a new person. Asking this I got a reply its busy day. What do they think a paid customer will wait 60 mins and call back on his own to know his confirmed order is not available and willing to take replacement which will come another hour later !!!.<br/><br/>Worst management ever!
Rishabh Divakar
Ordered chicken biriyani , tasted good .. bt not that good .. also the quantity was less according to the price.. And their was no salad.. was packed like they are giving it for free .. 😪
Vijaya Chandar
Decent biryani near kalyan nagar. Mutton on Fridays and Sundays..chicken on other days. When you see the place you will understand why cleanliness is next to godliness. And they have biseleri can water too👍

They serve probably the best biryani at HRBR. Reasonably priced and very tasty Biryani. One portion would easily serve two.<br/><br/>The kabab is very yum as well but not a great quantity.<br/><br/>Only major complaint is that home delivery at times takes too long.<br/>___________________________________<br/>Updated review-<br/><br/>Had a very bad delivery experience. The biryani was out of the box and spilled in the cover. Tried calling them and no one responded.<br/><br/>Over that they charge 30rs for delivery but the delivery guy made an issue to have it delivered to my door.<br/>Not going to order from here for sometime now. <br/>____________________________________<br/>Updated review-<br/><br/>Was sent a replacement biryani for the previous bad experience and biriyani was yummm as always. <br/><br/>100 points for customer service !!! <br/><br/>

Last minute decision to order from this place as Hyderabadi Biryaani house (still my go to place for biryani) opens much later. I got the veg biryani via swiggy. The portion size is enough for one person. I am not a great eater and found it difficult to finish. The biryani had plenty of finely diced beans, carrots, cauliflower and peas and smelled nice. The rice was cooked well. The dish was a bit tangy and i am not fond of tangy taste. The masalas had no wow factor. Raita was watery. The brinjal salan was very delicious. I have a niggling doubt that the dish was frozen, heated and served. With respect to the price, the dish is overpriced. It all comes down to the taste and for me personally, it was an OK first trial.
Rohan Emmanuel
ordered chicken biryani and zabi spl boneless kabab via swiggy.<br/><br/>Chicken biryani priced at Rs.150/- was decent but a little bland as per my taste. It has two decent sized tender chicken pieces. Quantity was sufficient for 1 person.<br/><br/>Had ordered biryani from here afters seeing its reviews here,  but it lacked the taste of proper biryani as there was not much biryani masala hence making it bland.<br/><br/>Zabi spl boneless kabab priced at Rs.90/- contained 3 small pieces  of boneless chicken.Taste was awesome but the quantity was disappointing.

Have been waiting to try out this place. The food turned out to be quite good and delivery prompt.<br/><br/>The Samosa's were a bit flat but with a tasty filling none the less.<br/><br/>Kebabs were a bit on the spicy side but the meat was tasty.<br/><br/>Biryani was quite wholesome and with tender chicken.
Prabha Natarajan
The service is great. They came on time and flavours were brilliant. Nothing to complain. You want good briyani which isn't too expensive? Go for Zabi 😊

Suddenly there is a wave of good restaurants in our locality. .Ordered chicken Biryani which was delivered in time and was having nice blend of spices. Chicken was also cooked nicely.
Rohit Raj
Biryani was delectable.. never had such a wonderful biryani in this range.<br/>Delivered on time with hot n fingerlicious taste..<br/>One thing that I noticed was the quantity of curd raita provided, it is not sufficient for one biryani.<br/>Even after mentioning for some extra quantity, it was not added.<br/>Please add some more of it, otherwise the taste is far so good.<br/>
Irfan Ahmed
Very fast delivery... Biryani is very delicious for the price. Without doubt just order it... Yummyyyy biryani and kebabs.the best part is biryani is very very hot...

This is one of the restaurant I have set a bookmark to visit as I had heard good reviews from people. I finally got a chance to visit the place at the end of a stressful day’s work. I was looking for something good in terms of my dinner and immediately the thought of Biryani stuck me. I then decided to give it a shot at trying biryani from this outlet. Let me share my experience.<br/><br/>Ambiance<br/><br/>A relatively small restaurant present in HBR Layout area that is quite casual. But yes, I could observe that they have a good section for cooking. There are huge boards that list basically 3-4 Biryanis that you can get the place. There is casual seating around the restaurant and a place where you can pick up water if you need to drink. Nothing fancy to tell but yes it looks clean.<br/><br/>Food<br/><br/>The main reason as I told was the Biryani. But then I was tempted to also look at some snacks that were on display. The person told me that it is prepared very fresh and would take more time. I decided to skip my plans of eating some snacks. And I directly went for ordering a Biryani.<br/><br/>Veg Biryani<br/><br/>It is very much part of the list of Biryanis. I asked him to pack it so I can take back home and eat it comfortably. Soon after I saw that the went to a tray where there was plenty of Biryani that was already made. Packed it in a carboard box with aluminium foil. I was a little worried about its quality. But I could make out that the smell was very good.<br/><br/>I came back and opened it and had my first bite and found it to be very yummy. It had the right mix of veggies in it and the masala was quite good. I enjoyed eating every bit of the biryani which was also a little spicy. <br/><br/>They had given salan and raita. Salan was also enhancing the spices but again the taste was quite good. Raita could have been more thick as it was a little water and yes there were some chilly pieces which again can enhance spicy if you eat it. I wonder why chilly is added to Raita, I think it shouldn’t be there as it the cooler always. <br/><br/>Another thing they can improve upon is by giving lemon pieces and onions. <br/><br/>The taste made me start it and then finish to the end in one shot. I feel that the portion size also is quite apt for 1 person and I enjoyed it.<br/><br/>Overall Experience<br/><br/>One of the good places to eat Biryani in the HBR and Kamanahalli area. I hope they keep up the taste and work on few points I put. I rate this place currently at 3.5/5. Rating in other departments includes.<br/><br/>Food – 3.5/5<br/><br/>Service – 3.5/5<br/><br/>Ambiance – 3.5/5<br/><br/>Food for 2 people considering you have 2 biryanis will cost anywhere between INR250-300.

Had heard a lot of this place and finally decided to order home delivery, We went in for one biryani each of mutton and Chicken. The portions are decent and in both the biryani plates, they give one good piece and one bad which is just bones and nothing else. This is one thing which i don't understand and many such eating joints follow this practice. How much can they save over this. I too own couple of restaurants BUT we just don't compromise on this at all.Anyways, taste was good and can be had a second time as well. Am now deducting points on the subject discussed above.

Nice and cosy outlet on the main road. Was recommended by a friend.Their meals of the day are great and filling. The Biryani is good . Portions are massive and filling.

I'm not one for reviews, but I think I had to share a quick word about Zabi's food. <br/><br/>I was looking for biryani and this came highly recommended on Zomato, so decided to order Chicken Samosa, Kebab and Chicken Biryani. Pleasantly surprised by the chicken samosa, which wasn't oily like what I was expecting. Kebabs too! I'd recommend this just for the Samosa and Kebabs, but then the biryani along with the brinjal sherwa was one among the best we have had.<br/><br/>Something I would like to add - the packaging was another unexpected plus point. This ensured the kebabs weren't moist by the time the food was delivered to me in Thannisandra. Thanks for a good experience.

I've been here multiple times and each time the food keeps getting better! I look forward to my lunches at Zabi.<br/>Amazing taste! Reminds me of food cooked by my mother, who is a cook par excellence!<br/><br/>A must visit for each and every non vegetarian!
Farhan Jameel
Irresistible authentic delectable biryani which has an intense aroma taking your taste buds on a wild tour of flavours.<br/>Till date, the best biryani I've ever had other than homemade biryani. <br/>The spices are perfectly seasoned while preparing this biryani. <br/>This looks like a small restaurant but has the best biryani.<br/>Take my word.<br/>I had ordered it home as it was raining. <br/>Even as a parcel it totally took over the show.<br/>AMAZINGLY GREAT.

Zabardast Biriyani aka ZABI is a small place in HBR layout which is a good point for a quick lunch or dinner. <br/><br/>The menu is limited Nd straight forward. The seating is also minimal with 4-5 tables, i guess they get lot of delivery orders. We have tried Chicken Biriyani, mutton Biriyani, veg biriyani & meal of the day combo. Chicken & Mutton biriyanis are good in taste & its typical North Indian style. Veg biriyani is a little dry i felt & heavy in quantity.<br/><br/>One must thing to try in Zabi is Zarda, which is a sweet made of rice. This is the first time i had a cooked rice sweet which is dry (even though i am from south, we have mostly varieties of Payasam where you use cooked rice as such) Zarda is a mild sweet, do not expect lot of sweetness in this dish.<br/><br/>Overall, A good place for a quick grab.

I ordered from this over weekend. They delivered quite late (almost 1.5 hours), this made the food cold. Anyway, I ordered in advance so wasn't unhappy. I selected chicken biryani and a beverage from the menu. Today was the day when I was craving for some serious non veg food as I am not allowed to cook it at home. <br/><br/>Anyway, coming back to the food, I must say I had high expectations from taste point of view but was disappointed after eating. First of all it was cold and I don't like to heat my food second time because that spoils the taste. The look of the biryani was okay, nothing enticing, packaging was also not good. And when I finally tasted it, i found it oily and the spice was on little higher side (which is ok for me). Chicken was not tender, I could feel that it was not fresh. <br/><br/>Overall I am really sad that my Sunday dinner was spoiled. Not ordering again!!

FORGETFUL? <br/>Simple menu to choose from. Quick to deliver and good food too. Tasty- with good quality and quantity.<br/> 3.5 Rating, cuz we ordered and paid for full kababs , but got only half; with no raita/any side dishes. Forgetful may be. Kindly ensure you check before delivery. :)

Now the ambiance and decor of the place is good and their menu is so very simple.. the staff are well behaved and friendly, now coming to the taste, Chicken Biryani: Authentic, nicely cooked and Pocket friendly.Quantity is pretty adequate for one person at a price tag of ₹150 per plate.A must try!
Anirban Dasgupta
If there is a studio where culinary art is painted with delectable Oriental and Middle-Eastern cuisine, then I would say it is Zabi...mutton katakat, the eclectic selection of kebabs and biriyani all add to the colour and flavour of this homely joint exuding warmth.Keep up the good work.
Travel Memoirist
They claim the Biryani served here is a combination of Biryani influence from the city of Mumbai and the state of Uttar Pradesh. We tried the mutton biryani which is available only on Fridays and Sundays...I am a great fan of Biryani....But for the first time I did not like this type of Biryani...It had a taste which was not suiting my palate...May be others would like it....<br/>We tried the Chicken Samosas which was freshly made...It was good.<br/>And for desserts we had the Zarda (traditional South Asian sweet dish, made by boiling rice with (orange) food coloring, milk and sugar, and flavored with cardamoms, raisins, saffron, pineapple, fruits,etc)...It was good...We liked it.
Veena Madhuri
Ordered chicken biryani and chicken samosas. Samosas were so soft and tasty. Biryani was good too and more than enough for one person. Would definitely try samosas again.
Sathya K
A simple , hygienic  eatery with  courteous staff..and an equally elementary menu. For snacks: chicken samosa was thin crisp on the crust and soft with in filled with finely chopped chicken kheema pieces though personally we felt it should have been better flavored. Same goes with the chicken biryani which was garnished with fried onion crisps on the top and two meat pieces ...but yet some thing was missing ..yes  it lacked the punch...which we expected would be mitigated with the accompanied salan but alas...i believe this is their definition of Lucknow type Biryani which is usually prepared with more of aroma and less of spice <br/><br/>The sweet yellow rice was beaming with Pineapple flavor but personally i don't have much ado about sweets ..so should go fine with sweet toothed people.<br/><br/>Already high due to a heavy break fast , we had to conclude with our luncheon at this point.<br/><br/>Not so pocket friendly considering the location but can be visited for their modest offerings and no-nonsense ambiance.

Ordered menu for Sunday : Chicken Biryani+Shammi Kabab+SoftDrink.<br/><br/>Chicken Biryani: Authentic, nicely cooked and Pocket friendly.<br/>Quantity is pretty adequate for one person at a price tag of ₹150 per plate. <br/>A must try!<br/>Rating: 8/10👍🏽🗣SUPERB🍚🍗<br/><br/>Shammi Kabab : A new discovery for me which felt like a Mixture of potatoes + scrambled chicken patty.<br/>The portion of Chicken was around 30% and rest was a mixture of potato pudding.<br/>Taste was average which you can try Incase you want to explore something new.<br/>Rating: 6/10😮🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪<br/><br/><br/>Delivery professional Hospitality : 10/10<br/>Very well mannered & hostile.👏🏿👍🏽<br/><br/>Packing: 5/10 😕<br/>Need to improve <br/><br/>Pricing: 8/10👌🏽<br/>Great competitive pricing.<br/><br/>Over all it's a must visit place,as it is very pocket friendly and the taste of the food served are authentic too.👍🏽

We had ordered chicken and mutton biryani from this outlet. Both the biryanis were delicious. The meat pieces were soft and tender. Overall it was an excellent biryani experience.

Ordered home delivery. To start with the delivery person was courteous . <br/><br/>Coming to the food<br/><br/>The mutton biryani with two bone pieces literally . I would rather pay an extra 30 rupees to see more value in the biryani. <br/><br/>The dal was in a small container and tasted okay. Shammi Kababs and samosas had no filling really. <br/><br/>Not sure if I would take the risk on pricing and order again. Would probably try some suggested dishes and re rate this place<br/><br/>
Rohan Kumar
Ordered chicken biryani from here using swiggy. <br/>Packaging is okay, but not great. The biryani though, doesn't disappoint. It's flavourful with a hint of saffron. The spices aren't overdone. The quantity of chicken isn't much, but it's well cooked. <br/>The salan was substandard, I've docked off major points for this. It's rare to find a restaurant which can make good salan, and sadly zabi sits right in that category. Hopefully they'll improve on this, because salan is an essential part of the entire dish. <br/>The raita lives up to expectations. <br/>Keep in mind this is only a delivery review.
Rahul Arora
Ordered Biriani from zabi for lunch... As name of outlet.. Zabi.. Zabardast biryani... Has high hopes with the biryani.. But it was a let down.. They need to improve the standard of their biryani.. Despite fine quality rice used, the Biriani was dry.. The chicken pieces too were dry.. They need to improvement..<br/>Service is good.. They stick to delivery time..<br/>Quantity is decent.. To survive the competition, they need to take some extreme steps now.<br/>
Gaurav Bundel
Tried their mutton biryani.. Meant for those days when you don't want to try new things and are looking for just the right comfort food taste. Will surely order again. Delivery and packaging was satisfactory.
Manikandan N
Very Good  quality  food compare to other hotels in HBR Layout. The delivery  timing is good, while the food quality is superb and the quantity takes a low leave and minimum food option  only u have so make it more .
Kunal Bhagawati
Their biryani is pretty average. Now, with that out of the way, I'll explain why the 4 stars. First, awesome staff. The staff goes out of their way to make you comfortable and welcome. Second, big portions. Obviously this is no Meghna biryani but for 150 bucks there is a lot of rice and, at least for me, pretty big pieces. Finally, the place is hygienic. You can see the kitchen in front of you.
Huzaifa
It's briyani has a unique taste which you will not find anywhere else..... there sweet dishes are also too good. There open kitchen is concept is good. You get the confidence of hygiene. Take away is suggested.
Rummana Perween
Very nice Biryani. My whole family and my kids are the fan of Zabi biryani. The sami kabab and the kheer are just mouth watering. Its higly recommended for Biryani lovers
Mobasshir Alam
Amazing Biryani for Biryani Lovers. I always visit this place when I am in Bangalore at my brother in law Sulman place. Please keep it up and may be increase the frequency of mutton to few more days in a week.
Imran Ahmad
Great Biriyani :) starters are awesome :) good serving time...They have a great tasting chicken biriyani & Kabab at a reasonable price too. The ambiance is also quite pleasant and everything is very neat and clean. One of the good places to have biriyani in Bangalore...Sure to visit this place again.. One of the best in bangalore for the taste.....Thanks zabi....
Shubha Ayappa
Excellent biryani...wonderful ambience.. My kids thoroughly enjoy having ur food. Best part is they use all eco friendly Stuffs for serving.. Nature bhi khush hum bhi khush.
Yousuf Ahmed
I have been to HBR layout for some work, taken chicken biryani for my dinner.<br/>I found chicken biryani tasty and rich mix of authentic biryani spices that used into making biryani  and at last their Gheer very delicious.<br/>I am looking forward to try zabi’s mutton biryani on coming Sunday.<br/>Best value for the money.
Tinfood
Ordered for me and my friends from here a multitude of times amazing food as always and your delivery on time never disappointed me :) Keep up the good work. Btw one of the best veg. biryanis around i guess who serve pure veg.
Richard Rajan
I heard reviews of their ambience not being great, hence choose not to go there but order in.<br/>In the biryani There was a full leg piece of chicken which had no flavour at all. The chicken kabab was also tasteless n only tasted of oil n some masala<br/><br/>The sweet rice had a cube of piece of pineapple.<br/>It would have tasted good if the rice was moist. But this was bad.<br/><br/>For the first time i had to waste food..<br/>The only saving grace was the delivery was good n food was warm. The samosas were crisp n had enough chicken in them

ZABI-Zabardast biryani its one of a kind outlet where the main focus is on biryani.. when me and my friend were looking for a place to eat we found zabi nearby on zomato!! We were lucky as its a biryani outlet and also it was sunday.. they serve mutton biryani only on Friday's and sunday's ..only!!! <br/>Now the ambience and decor of the place is good and their menu is so very simple.. the staff are well behaved and friendly .. now coming to the taste .. I ordered mutton biryani along with boneless chicken kebab., serving was good along with good portions of meat .. they serve it with special brinjal gravy which is yum!! My friend ordered chicken biryani he too said the taste was good ..he also was happy wid his portions of meat served..<br/>Not too spicy the taste was just perfect .. must visit place for biryani lovers.. do visit this place you will not be disappointed. .!! Thank you zabi for such an awsme experience. . Will visit again.

Awesome experience... !! Really Zabardast Biryani.. !! I think Zarda is new dish introduced to the South India... I like it very much... Rich dish with dry fruits in it... <br/>The best part of this restaurant is cleanliness and awesome service .. Real mumbai biryani... <br/>:)
Shakeeb
I had been to Zabi last weekend, and I would say "This is the place for Biryani lovers", Trust me. The best Briyani I ever had in Bangalore<br/>.<br/><br/>Thumbs up for this place!
Sarthak Mohanty
I had gone to zabi on one morning to have a meeting with the owner, not to say with a down to earth attitude ,he welcomed me and we chatted for nearly 1 hour,in between he ordered samosas which was really crispy and delightful,I would suggest you to try the chicken samosas there some day and its priced at a very reasonable price…<br/>The menu has very selective items with biryani as a speciality ,plus for the customer preference they have a unique concept of meal of the day which every day changes with some new dishes served every week…<br/>They have a open kitchen with well trained staff…overall a very good fine dine place for a biryani lover…
Mohammed Umair
Zabi is a twin of Ammi's biryani, with little modification in ambience. Now coming to point. First the taste I would say you will definitely not get the kick one aspires from an authentic biryani. Second not an ideal ambience to take your family. Third the staff is friendly and the service is good. Overall negligible place.
Vishal Singh
I have visited Zabi and ordered from it a couple of times.<br/>Didn't find its biryani to be "zabardast", to be honest. It's just okay. The sweet dish "Zarda" is also okay and not that great, in my experience. Menu is also very limited.<br/>Ambience is okay but the restaurant is very small with little seating capacity.<br/>Overall I think they need to go long way in order to compete with the likes of some other restaurants nearby.

Just now completed eating half of the biryani ordered for home delivery. Horrible biryani.... not properly cooked chicken meat. Except the outer layer of the chicken leg, the inner portions of the mean were uncooked and visible blood shots in the meat. The taste of biryani was also not even average. Biryani from Tamarind and Richies Rahhams still remain the best biryani's in this locality.

Both the mutton and chicken biryani are very delicious. The place is hygenic and comfortable with very resonable pricing. Do visit this place for a good experience.

Been to this cute cute place this evening..As mentioned by people in the earlier reviews, its a small yet neatly maintained place..Also the small applies to their variety of food offerings..best part is the traditional Zarda in desserts...<br/>I had chicken biryaani directly as the menu was simple, it was real dum biryani - dum quality and dum quantity..taste is too good.. I liked the ambience which resembles some theme restaurant, its one of such kind though..<br/>My meal ended with a super tasty Zarda ..this meal is very very tasty and in fact the place is CALM CALM AND CALM..its a very peaceful restaurant with good service, not to forget..people there are generous enough to explain the authenticity of the dishes..eagerly waiting for the mutton biryani next time, which is available only on fridays and sundays..<br/><br/>So for foodies crazy about good and authentic biryaanis and special dishes like chicken samosas and zarda...this is a must try place..<br/><br/>Cheers..!!

Zabi, a fairly new joint in HBR layout is challenging the well established Biryani houses in Bangalore and seems to be well on its way to carve out a name for itself as one of the most sought after eating joints. With a catchy name, this place has a nice ambience with ever friendly crew more than willing to help you choose the right dish for the occasion. The Biryani they served was aromatic, tasty, authentic and definitely made my visit a fulfilling experience. Looking forward for my next visit!!!

I've been having so many kinds of Biryani over the years; in the Middle Eastern and Indian - Kerala, Hyderabadi, Lucknavi, Kolkata, Karnataka, Mumbai-style. So when I walked into Zabi last evening and Rizvan told me I'd love his Biryani, he wasn't joking!<br/><br/>This biryani is delightfully light, extremely low oil presence - so no heartburn to worry about later, a mixture of herbs and spices so delicately mixed-in, it highlights all your taste buds without bias, long basmati grains along with great tasting raita. Along with it I bought some samosas and they were just perfect.<br/><br/>If you're intention is to have Biryani now! I suggest you head out to Zabi

A must place to try the authentic biryani. Nice service with good hygiene.  The quantity is sufficient and the service is quick. <br/>I would recommend to start with chicken samosa and then have the signature zarda at the end to complete the meal

Just go and Enjoy the Biryani at Zabi. <br/>I have never experienced any change in taste, it has been the same from the time it has started.<br/><br/>Whenever we see or talk about Biryani, we first think of Zabi. Though it is quite a distance from my place, my family prefer going all the way to eat Biryani at Zabi.

It's definitely different taste, should try once. The team receive very well and all drinks at Mrp. Value for money pricing. Good quantity with huge leg piece.

Just as interesting as the name was the biriyani, authentic hyderabadi biryani, surely way better than most of the places around the area.<br/>The biriyani comes with a whole leg piece and very well marinated, seriously lip smacking.<br/><br/>For dessert we ordered the kheer and zarda, kheer was lovely... Zarda not that liking to my pallette..<br/>For everyone in and around Kalyan Nagar, Hrbr,Hennur, hbr.. Must try biriyani.<br/><br/>Well I would say not the best in Bangalore like Hyderabadi house biriyani in Victoria road, but definitely better than most in the vicinity :-)<br/><br/>As they have mutton biriyanis only on Friday and Sundays waiting to try it out<br/><br/>For the biriyani a definite 4 out of 5<br/>As we asked for delivery it took almost 35 minutes for me to explain the address to the delivery guy.. Oh lord, although the address is very easy to follow, had almost an argument explaining the location. I don't think they know the area well.<br/><br/>Marking them down a bit due to the frustration I had to go through to get the delivery.<br/>So please make sure you order a Little earlier than usual if you want the delivery by lunch or dinner time :-)<br/><br/>Need to try out the kababs as well...
