Nice place

A good restaurant for a quick bite. Have tried so many amazing dishes here. This was our go-to place for evening snack and even lunch sometimes as the office was very near to this place. This place being located infront of mini forest, usually is always crowded. Shawarma and kesari bath are my personal favorite. Chinese, north Indian and south Indian cuisines are quite popular here. This place is quite costly for Chinese, Italian and other continental dishes.

Check post in Jp nagar is a nice place for families or friends looking to go out for lunch/dinner. The seating capacity is excellent with the choice of sitting indoor/outdoor.<br/>The food is not great as expected. The kebab was bit salty.<br/>Although few items like the egg roll were good.<br/>The menu is more emphasized on the south indian dishes.<br/>The fish curry is nice to have.<br/>The must try item that I recommend is the GudBud ice cream. The quantity taste price everything is perfect about.<br/>Worth visiting place with friends and family for lunch or dinner.

This multi-cuisine restaurant is located in prime and peaceful location. They have good ambience. They provide indoor and outdoor seating, adding to that they have juice counter, pan counter and also self service. The taste of the food can be improved.

a beautifully designed restaurant, serves some incredible Indian fare. you will love each and every bites here. We ordered fruit punch, which was so yummy. Harabhara kebab is a blissed. You will get yummiest chicken dishes here, must recommended chicken ghee roast, chicken sukka and butter chicken. Butter chicken n nargisi kofta go so well with roti. Prawns koliwada was my favourite. If you are fish lover jus like me then must try fish thali over here. And Don't forget to taste gudbud icecream, a delicious dessert over here. With a large group it's a awesome place in your budget.

Food is really good. Really enjoyed the food and prices are also quite affordable.

Spice Code is part of the Check Post restaurant which comes under service area. The restaurant is located on Bannerghatta Road, close to Shoppers Stop. The ambiance is neatly done with the use of a large number of colors. The seating arrangement consists of sofas and chairs. <br/><br/>We went their to celebrate with a couple of my colleagues. The menu is decent with equal proportion of North Indian and South Indian dishes with a bit of Chinese cuisine. We ordered couple of items and waited. And waited. And waited. Some of the appetizers hadn't even arrived after 1 hour of waiting. The waiter did come back after an hour to confirm our order once again. <br/><br/>We tried the Gobi 88 which was a bit oily and tasted more like a Chinese Starter than a South Indian one. We also had the Veg Hyderabadi, Dal Makhani and roti. The amount served here is very less for all the items therefore make sure you order adequate. The curries were good in taste especially the Dal Makhani which was excellent. The Veg Hyderabadi Biryani was also good if not great but was made in the same gravy as the curry. <br/><br/>On the other hand, the non-veg starters hadnt even arrived when the vegetarian counterpart had finished the main course. Overall the waiting ruined the experience and the slow kitchen was a nightmare. We even asked to cancel everything but no one was around to listen. The slow serve meant the curries got cold when the roti's arrived and vice versa. <br/><br/>The service at Spice Code was nothing less than a sloth. <br/><br/>The Verdict:<br/><br/>Food/Taste – 5/10<br/><br/>Service - 0/10<br/><br/>Ambiance - 6/10<br/><br/>Value for Money – 4/10<br/><br/>Quantity/Quality – 4/10<br/><br/>Experience - 0/10<br/><br/>But a very bad experience overall.

I was accompanied by my parents, wife and 9 year old son. This was an impromptu stop at the restaurant due to ample parking space just in front of the restaurant. The person who helped us park vehicle was polite to open door for my wife and mom. <br/>The restaurant is right at the main road with seating space inside and outside. The seating space is comfortable and staff was polite. The service was little bit slow but we thoroughly enjoyed time and food. Our visit was on 25th Dec, 2019 eve around 9 pm and it was not very crowded.

This is a regular go-to place for us as it's<br/>near to my office place.<br/><br/>They have a huge exhaustive menu with multiple<br/>choices on veg/non-veg.<br/><br/>Very reasonable rates, good food, and quick delivery,<br/>makes me a regular customer here.<br/><br/>Love their paratha with veg/non-veg combo, Check_post<br/>special dum biriyani, and uttapam with veg/chicken<br/>stew. I have tried their fish item also and that's<br/>really good.<br/><br/>overall, this place is an outstanding performer.<br/>Recommended!!

Quality and quantity are far behind from price. Loaf of bread and egg ommlet is beyond Rs100. Doesn't it seem like having 2 bananas in the Marriott !!?🧐

Worst food , Price is very high in compare to food taste ...........tasteless foods . I was a regular customer of them .But I realize day to day food quality and taste is decreasing but price is rocketing high.

I'm regular customer of checkpost. I have seen dal khichadi at rs 70 yr back to rs 90 six mnths before and suddenly jumping to 150 now. This is too much hike. I agree food is good but rising rates are impossible.

This place is running only because of IT people. Unhygienic. Nothing is good here.

Amazing manglore sea food. Should taste kori rotti, marvai sukka, crab. Good service. Loved the ambience. Food is waw here. Try all manglore sea food items.

The cheese mayo fries had grated cheese at the bottom of plate and a cup of mayonnaise. It was a very difficult dish eat actually. The spinach corn sandwich had a very minimal amount of spinach and lots of carrots and capsicum..

So visited this place with my brother some time back.<br/>Great ambiance, large dinning area they are having also staff are very friendly. Basically we want there for dinner. I took help from one of the staffs and ask for chef's choice food. They suggested me prawn and fish which was great in taste. Prawn ghee roast I ordered and it's a must try dish. Also fish was great only thing I'm dissatisfied with the price, prawn and anjal fish alone cost 1k which is way too much if you will compare it with other places in bangaluru. However one can try if they wish too. Also we had dahi ke kebab, cheese cherry pineapple and dum biriyani and lime soda. I like dahi ke kebab it's so good in Taste, and also cheese cherry and the way they have presentation done it's great to see it. I don't like dum biriyani it's too oily and spicy not my type of you love oily and spicy you can go for it.<br/><br/>So it's a thumbs up 👍🏻👍🏻 from my side.

Mangalorean dishes are superb. Especially I like few dishes from this restaurant like Kori rotti, Marvai pundi, Neer dosa with chicken sukka etc. Typical mangalorean style taste. If Ur looking for mangalorean restaurant this is the one.

I have never been to this restaurant but have ordered many times from here especially their deluxe thalis. They are filling and tasty . Deluxe thali comes with 2 chapatis, veg pulao, 2 veg/non veg curries, dal,dry item, salad , raita and sweet. Their kheer is very tasty with perfect amount of sugar .<br/>Will definitely recommend this place.

Great ambience and decent food. We ordered fish which was extremely delicious and so was chicken. However, it was a little too spicy. Dahi k kebab was a let down. Methi malai matar and kadai panner were good to eat.<br/><br/>

Ordered a veg meal along with a paneer Tikka wrap. Meal was good with two curries, roti and some rice. The wrap was quite disappointing. Too oily and overpriced. Self service at this place.

I've never been to this restaurant. I have just ordered food through Swiggy and Zomato.<br/>Hence I would be unable to comment on their service and the restaurant's ambience.<br/><br/>I've ordered veg burgers and the tandoori aloo parathas combo from time to time.<br/>I've enjoyed these items and I have been impressed with the packaging of the food items for delivery.

Nice ambience, good spread of dishes. Average taste. Would recommend bit improvement. Soup was very salty. Overall a good place to eat out with family

This spot has always been my go to place for all my cravings ranging from early morning tea to dinner. I used to visit Check post for almost 8 months. The Thali option was the best. A decent place to grab a quick bite. There is a lot of variety in terms of cuisines and dishes - from pasta to neer dosa at pocket friendly rates. The place is clean and well maintained. The food however is not that tasty and could definitely be prepared better.

I've home delivered food from this place a number of times. The sandwiches are nice. But the rest of the food is not that great. Burgers are okayish. The veg thali is so filling and quite tasty.

After a long break decided to go for a solo buffet to this place as everyone bailed the plan on a wonderful Wednesday. Though being a weekday this place was decently crowded. The ambience was like any other restaurants, nothing out of the ordinary and the spread was rather minimal, with few options for both veg and nonveg dishes. What I really enjoyed during my meal here, was the promptness of the waiters, and their friendly behaviour. Helping us with food and suggesting what would go best with what. Naturally at a buffet it's the eater's decision to take what he likes however when you're guided what goes good with what, adds a plus to that experience. They kept the spread small but quality, not compromised. Taste of every dish was delicious and food was appetising for eyes and tastebuds. You eat only when the food looks appetising. Good place for a family lunch or dinner, with fair price for the range of dishes presented in the buffet.

Loved the place and the food that we had here! We had chapati with chicken curry and veg meals. Chicken curry was so tasty that I ended up drinking it like soup! The place also has buffet but we couldn't try it last time. Would love to visit the place again. 4 stars because I felt the food items are a little overpriced.

Yesterday Ordered from this restaurant a veg combo meal which arrived with 2 small kerala parottas, ghee rice, dal fry, aloo dry sabji and gulab jamun. Food tasted good but my extra parotta add on was missing. Bit disappointed 😥😥.

Food was delicious and in budget. I ordered biryani and Cold coffee. Cold coffee was bit more sweet than necessary but still it was tasty and the biryani took my heart like seriously. I am a Happy Customer. Would visit again.

Food quanlity is good. The place gets crowdier during lunch. Prices are at higher side for North Indian items. Better to opt for combo dishes than regular items.

Nice place. Great food. Would have surely given five stars if not for the hygiene and the service, If they could work on that, then with the amazing quality of food that they offer the place would be elsewhere. My suggestion to anyone visiting the place would be to try the neer dosa.

Nice little joint for an early morning coffee/tea which is served as early as 5am. They start serving breakfast at around 6am. Quantity is very bad for the price you pay. 2 spoons of upma for 25 bucks. Not worth it.

This food joint in JPNagar is the eating hotspot. It is the best restaurant you can get around this location. You can choose ur meal based on your mood. They have a various option from South to North. Quite a few healthy options as well.<br/>Specialised for their Mangalorean cuisine but cooking hands in the kitchen have mastered other cuisine as well.<br/>Must try are their value for money combos.. Surprisingly taste is not compromised.<br/><br/>Tasty food, Value for money with courteous service..

This is a really good place. Loved the variety of combos and meals this place has to offer.<br/><br/>The taste of the food is also exquisite. I really liked the Butter Chicken combo and would highly recommend it.

Check post in my opinion is probably the best restaurant around mini forest in JP Nagar area. The taste & quality of food is very good and so is the ambience(ignoring the traffic and the metro work that's going on near by). The prices are highly competitive. Sea food is very nice in general. Butter Garlic Prawns are a must try there!

Located in JP Nagar this place is a typical fast food joint but with good hygiene and variety of food. If u r looking for quick good food then this is your place. Hardly any waiting time, super fast food and tasty.<br/>Tea is Kickass. Neer dosa and chicken curry made perfectly. Veg sandwich is filling. Manchaow soup made brilliantly.<br/>Been here multiple times and it never seems to disappoint.<br/>A highly recommended place.<br/>Cheers

Ordered chicken shawarma and south Indian roll, felt the price to be on the higher side for the latter. But a great happening place, completely loved it. A little extra importance to hygiene will always help. Roti used for Shawarma was not at all good, it's the one that is locally available.

Such yummy food.. we ate just starters.. the chicken 65,chicken kebab and the surmai rava fry was out of the world.. it tasted perfect 😋 definitely will go there again to try the rest of the menu 😋

I ordered chapati with egg curry. Quality wise it is good but chapati was very hard to chew and egg curry is sweeter. It's good if they can make the chapati bit thin and soft and the curry bit spicier.

I choose this restaurant for almost everyday for my breakfast. They have a huge variety of categories of dishes which are very nice and tasty. The dishes of mushrooms could be improved. Else, its a very nice place.

Visited bit late on a Sunday afternoon. Probably they are not in a mood to cook or tired after too many orders.<br/><br/>We ordered Chinese and South Indian food. All veggies on Chinese was half fried, neer dosa was like half cooked. Even after feedback they didn't tried to replace the order.<br/><br/>Overall I will not rate the place more then one as the few basic hygiene was not maintained. When I saw the inside if the kitchen that was very unhygienic.<br/><br/>Would not recommend until you don't have anything else to eat.

I love this place a lot! This is also the first place I have had food from and I frequently order food from here. The food is really good but I have a complaint regarding my previous order. I am an eggitarian and I had ordered egg biriyani but the curry served along with it was chicken curry. I am really disappointed due to that. Otherwise, the service is really good everytime. I don't know what happened this time.

Ordered Rajasthani Lal Maans. They served a default North Indian style gravy with cream in it. Never understood why restaurants have dishes on their menu that they have no clue about.

Okay so, I ordered fried rice and mushroom manchurian combo from Check post. I won't say it was terrible but it's wasn't that good either. The manchurian gravy had too many huge garlic pieces which I personally didn't like that much. The taste was okay for quick bites. The quantity of the fried rice was enough for 2 people but the mushroom manchurian was quite less. The delivery was quick and overall, it's good enough.

Visited with friend with high expectation on sea food. But after ordering indian mackerel fish it was a disaster. Got a half cook fish also fish was not fresh. Next is sea shell sukka it was ok okay but 4 sea shell ware closed bad cooking. if you complaint on counter that guy will tell its too late sir its common. Fome next time will give u nice fish.<br/>You jist killed customer expectation. Last visit to checkpost

Ordered biryani rice. Will never order again from this restaurant. They have sent stale rice. We had to throw the food away and slept hungry.

I ordered Punjabi thali... The packaging was superb but unfortunately the food was not that tasty and was literally not warm..and the tase was same for all the items... I honestly did not liked the food much because it was not hot... Hope to have better service next tym...

Ordered for a paneer roll and ghee egg roast. Paneer roll was delicious. But the egg roast was a scary. There was so much of masala and was quite inedible.

Kerala chicken biryani made of vasmadi rice with masala mix and egg. I am not sure who given naming for this as Kerala chicken biryani.<br/><br/>The main difference between Hyderabad biryani and Kerala biriyani is we use ghee rice to make biryani not vasmadi rice.

I am regular visitor of this food joint. They have ample variety of food and beverages. Yesterday experience has shattered me. I ordered Matka Biryani of Rs 269/-. The matka Biryani is famous for aroma and mouth melting taste. But yesterday it was horrible . There was hardly any aroma and it was liked dried rice. I complained to two of their managers but they only try to console me which is not sufficient. I am feeling like cheated. The complaint address. Now I am satisfied. Wish this to be not repeated 😊

Chicken biryani rice with egg was served as egg biryani. Beware Vegans ! They have no word as an apology in their Google as well. Basically ruined an eve.
