Food is awesome especially for the Chicken and Fish Lovers. Authentic Bangla maachi cooked with Mustard oil and taste it alongside rice. Heaven for authentic Bengali cuisine. 😋😋😋😋Biryani is also awesome. Can linger and feel aroma of Mustard Oil Wafting in the air. However, disappointed they don't make patrachi maach, the Bengali fish delight with Mustard paste, Mustard oil wrapped in leaf and steamed fish pockets. If it was there would have given 5 on 5 or 10 on 10.

Good homely food. It's like typical budget mess, where you can get regular veg/non-veg thaali with roti and rice. Good option for students living in hostels. And the omelette is a must try.

Good for meals but you cannot get a good option for veg... But according to prices it's the best place

Authentic, homely Bengali food. Great place both quality and taste wise as well as budget friendly. The hygiene is also well maintained and the staffs are quite efficient.

Am from bengal and I went to this place with a lot of hope of eating bengal style biryani. But had the worst experience and taste. So disappointed. This was definitely not bengal nor south Indian style but some rubbish. No flavour and without even informing us they packed the chicken fry biryani which was for a cheaper rate as per the menu. If you guys are looking for authentic kolkata biryani then this is definitely not the place. Bad food.

I had visited Bengal Biriyani yesterday. One of my friend who lives near Bel Road took me there.
Food-4/5
Ambience-2/5(Pretty Basic)
Price-4/5
Service -4/5
It was a good place for food. The best part is they serve you hot Rotis.
Chicken Biriyani was tasty.Rice quality was very good ( kind of Basmati Rice).
Chicken kassa was good.
If you are looking for a decent place to eat where food is your priority then you can visit the place.
Please don't listen to people who has posted negative reviews about the place.People who say that Biriyani was not tasty, they have never eaten Biriyani.
Worst Biriyani Ever I Had , there is no similarity between their name and what they cook. Biryani Doesnt Have A Pinch Of Bengali Taste Or Anything My Taste Buds Died Eating This Never Recommended

Food is edible provided u really don't care about the hygiene. They prepare rotis almost on the road, nobody can presume how much dust could also be mixed along. Owner is good to talk to.

First time i ordered a chicken biriyani, i got rice sufficient for 2 people & 3 pieces of chicken....2nd time i repeated the order, 1 piece of chicken with a half potato and half plate rice. Who does this kind of unprofessional & disgusting things????

I visited this restaurant yesterday two times ,once I had their Calcutta style chicken biriyani during lunch and had plain parathas with chicken curry for dinner. All I can say is that I got the satisfaction after a homely style meal. The food you get reminds you of your home. Take my words for it if you have the urge for a very good biriyani come and visit the place .........IT'S AWSOME

They say Bengal biriyani, but the family runs it is Bihari. I didn't find any taste of Bengal in the biriyani, totally a waste place ... Not recommended

This not the place to look for ambience. This is a place to look for authentic eastern cuisine in south India. The seating arrangement is pretty basic. When you enter a Bengali restaurant, look no further from fish. As with other similar establishments in the east, your choice of fish would mainly be Rohu and Katla along with a thali consisting of either roti or rice. But then who eats fish with roti? A meal for 3 came to just under 300 bucks. So definitely bang for buck.

Yesterday (2nd May), I was there....I visited this place with a hope to have a Bengali style biryani after a long time.... I was not fully disappointed... But it was an average experience...

Ambiance:

It was a very small restaurant... If you are looking for a sophisticated restaurant, then this is definitely not for you.... As mentioned, very small space....Not very clean one....

Rating: 2/5

Service:

Service was good...Owner was a nice lady

Rating: 3.5/5

Price:

Cost around- Rs 220/- per person...Cheap according to the other places

Rating: 3/5

Food:

1. Chicken biryani- bengali style briyani... Contains- 1 piece of potato and a good piece of chicken.... rice was a bit cold... taste was okay not great...non spicy (I like non spicy biryanis)- 3/5

2. Chicken kasa- each plate contains 4 pieces of chicken...piece size was average.... spicy.... average taste- 3/5

3. Rotis were good- 3.5/5

Rating: 3/4

bengalis trapped in bengaluru longing for that familiar aroma of biryani to assault their nostrils again but not wanting to burn a hole in their pockets may visit this place.......the best thing about this eatery is their biryani.....and thats it....rest are ok i guess, havent tried much.....coming back to biryani, it is made in the same way as Calcutta (more accurately Lucknowi/Awadhi style) but the one i was served was a bit cold...so not great on the taste buds.....since it does not burn your pocket it has taken some liberties with hygiene and decor.......which is acceptable to anyone who has eaten off the streets of Calcutta

Worst biriyani . avoid this place and the reviews where people are praising this place . the food is horrible for 100rs. 1star for the chicken leg piece as that was edible.

Bengal Biriyani finally in Zomato.
I have been going there since 2009 and their biriyani fan.
Their Biriyani is simply awesome and one of the best in Bangalore.
The Biriyani contains long, thin and high quality Basmati Rice, One big Chicken leg piece and Half potato. Full Kolkata Style. The biriyani has nice aromatic smell. The Basmati Rice is well cooked and the chicken is nicely prepared. All should try their Biriyani Rs.100 only.
Another dish to be tried is Chicken Chap and Chicken Kasha. Both the dishes will remind you Calcutta taste. Don't miss this.
One more dish you should try is Dal Poori, though this menu is available only on Thursday Night. In this dish you will get 6 Poori, One Chana Sabji, Kheer, and Dhaniya Chaatni. Its fabulous.
Other than all the dishes mentioned, you will get Chicken Meal, Fish meal, Veh meal. Separate menu are like Fried Rice, Veg Tadka, Egg Tadka, Paneer Masala.
If you like Good food in Bangalore then Bengal Biriyani should be in your explore list.
Food Taste and Quality: 4/5
Price: 4/5
Ambiance: 1.5/5
AC: No
Parking: Road side
Value for Money: 4/5

Lastely I like to advise all if you are particular about ambiance then its not the right place.
