Absolutely delicious... we ordered mutton cutlet and fish cutlet.. both were above expectation. This is one of the few authentic bengali restaurent in south bengalore.. nice experience.. please fo not change your chef
yummy food. mutton kosha rocks🤘🤘🤘
Good food. Should try the Rosogolla.
Nice Bengali food..a little difficult to locate if not aware of area..a little on costly side comparatively...Plz ask for poori if taking thali as they seem to avoid that if you have not visited them earlier...I know it becoz have visited the first day they opened and have been a regular..
Food- food was tasty. Felt like home.
Delivery- delivery guy reached before estimated time and was very polite.
Definitely gonna recommend to other Bengalis here!
#Bangaliana is the reason I decided to get a Bengali cook at my home. I never knew Bengali cuisine could taste so nice. The pungent mustard aroma captures your taste buds right at the moment you walk in. Though its a small not-so-fancy outlet at Bannerghatta;the food tastes marvellous especially the chicken curry and prawn curry.Additional a brownie points for that Misti Doi. Must visit for a Bengali food lover.
awesome taste...Good quality...loving it
literally finger lickin' good!
Proper Bengali style food from home away from home.
I used to stay in Hulimavu . I had experience of both dining in and delivery in the Bannerghatta Road outlet , which is located in Arekere Gate.
Food : 4/5
Ambiance : 3/5 (I loved the old photos of Kolkata hanging on the walls)
service : 4/5
Usually this place is empty for dining in as most people opt for Home delivery.
I have tried most of the dishes but my favorite combination are
1.Polao with Mutton dak bangla.
2. Luchi with Cholar Daal and Alur Dam
3.Streamed Rice with Alur Posto and Chicken Kasha
If you are opting for Food delivery then the most loving thing is that food will come with paper packaging :)
If you are having those hunger pangs for fish fry ,mutton dakbaunglow and basanti pulao do visit this place or order online. Packaging is good but some times the fish fry pieces are too small when ordered online. For all the bengalis who are away from home this place is a must try and it won't burn your pocket much.

This was my first bengali cuisine experience any from home. I must say the food exceeded my expectations. All the dishes I had in the thaali were gourmet.
Ordered Mutton kosha and Bengali sweet yellow pulav.
I must say that,it was a great combination and a great overall bengali dinner.
Mutton kosha - 4.5/5
Rice-4/5
Mutton kosha, is mild spicy in taste whereas bengali pulav is bit sweet with some flavour of spices. Thus, it makes a good combination together.
Food was very well packed and delivered to me on time.
My emotions are attached to this review because it's been a long long time since I had Bengali food. We had taken steamed rice, maccher matha diye dal, jhoori alu bhaja, bhetki paturi, alu posto and fish fry. Everything tasted delicious and sooooo Bengali. But keeping that aside, the alu posto had a slight sweetness. It would've been better had it been more spicy. The bhetki paturi was really good and so was the dal. These two I enjoyed the most. But the fish fry was okay-ish and the alu posto could have been better. But overall it was a lovely experience. Thank you :)
Bangaliana be always my fav
i travel just to have #BANGLA_PULAO
And #MUTTON_KOSHA
Well, visiting Bangaliana and not tasting bengali sweets...not fair!! haha..yes!!
#Rasagulla was so soft n delicate ...
ahh!! i even packed it to have at home..
Had ordered food for home delivery. Packaging was good. Food was delivered on time.
Food Ordered : Luchi , Mutton Dak Bungalow , Fish Kabiraji , Rosagulla
Mutton Dak Bungalow was a semi gravy mutton dish with potato and egg. It was a little oily but tasted good! Luchis were soft and went well with the mutton. I was expecting Fish Kabiraji to be very good but it turned out to be an utter disappointment! It hardly had any fish inside the bread crumbs coating and tasted bland. It wasn't worth ordering at all! We ended the meal with Rosagulla which was jaggery flavoured. Its a must try !
Barring Fish Kabiraji, everything else was decent. Would want to try out more options.
Being a Bengali and a foodie, I was always on a lookout for a Bengali restaurant nearby which would bring back my memories of Bengali cuisines that I grew up eating.. Be it Kosha mangsho or aloo posto, it tickles the taste buds to nostalgia..
Try the thali here. Individual dishes like fish fry etc is good, but pricy. Order food from home rather than visiting as there's not much of an ambiance. I felt if the price could have been a little less, frequency of visit could have been increased. Overall, an "ok" place for Bengali food.
When ever we are hungry , the only thing that comes into our mind is rice and mutton!!! (Maybe not in everyone's mind ) ;) ..... Sometimes we try out new restaurants and end up getting screwed (most of the times!!!) . Today I had the same kind of hunger and tried out this restaurant via FoodPanda ....Believe me , I ordered and had the best Mutton Curry ever !!!! ... please try it out , u will end up getting very sad wen your hunger is quenched , but you would still want to have more ... !!!!
Packaging : Perfect
Delivery : ~45 minutes
Status : HOT
TASTE : Mind Blowing !
Today is the second time I ordered food from here (Bannerghatta Road branch) and I must say I am pleasantly surprised at the authenticity of the Bengali taste. My mom is very picky on food and she liked the Pabda Sorshe as well as Chingri Malai Curry although she felt that the malai curry could have been a bit less sweet.
As for me I loved the mutton preparation (Curry as well as Dak Bunglow). All in all good food, great taste, bit pricey though.
The choice ingrediants and freshness of the produce is a good positive point for Bangaliana. At times things do slip a little bit. The Kosha , is worth trying and the fish fry is stunning too. If slightly more attention can be paid to the veg dishes , this place would be rocking. The dum alu, ghonto, dhokar dhalana, sukto are not bad but doesn't match up to the levels of the meaty and lipsmacking dishes. Loved the alu bhaja too.
Tad disaapointed on the cleanliness levels of the place, over all, bangla food - top class.
I usually give take deliveries from here and havent personally visited the restaurant. It is a decent place for Bengali food. However, they seem to run out of food on weekdays quite often so its better to give them a quick call to enquire what is available. I personally recommend Fish Kalia, Fish Cutlet, Fish Fry and Chicken Kosha. The portions are good. In vegetarian fare, the Vegetable cutlet, Mochar chop, Jhuri Aloo bhaja and the dals are good.
No frills budget Bengali restaurant. Value for money (except the Bread items - they're overpriced).

I saw this place many times while travelling on Bannerghatta Road but never got an opportunity to check out the place. I and my wife finally chose Pohila Boishak to visit this restaurant and get a taste of some authentic Bengali food.
Ambiance: This is definitely not a place to go for a family meal. Its a small house where a few tables are placed in the living room. Ordering would be anyday recommended.
Food: Being hard core bengalis, we did not have too many doubts about the items. They have a decent choice of starters and main course items. We tried the Fish Batter Fry for starters, sorshe Pona (mustard fish), and Bangla pulao. The fish dishes were indeed tasty and reminded us of the dishes found in the food stalls that are seen during the Durga Pujo. The Bangla Pulao was a disaster. This was one dish that we were not sure about and it gave us a torrid time.
Pricing: The dishes are reasonably priced given the fact that some fishes (read Elish/Hilsa) are rarely seen in the open market. Other dishes are also not too pricey.
I look forward to try their other dishes soon.
One of my favourite places when I am extremely hungry. My friends and I order from this place quite often. Try the Bengali pulao and chicken kocha. It's a deadly combination. If you are visiting the restaurant, try the aam panna. It's a treat to a thirsty throat. Don't look for ambience here. It's a simple room meant mostly for delivery!
I love Bengali food! The last time had an awesome bengali meal was my friend's mother's cooking in Mumbai. So my joy knew no bounds when I was introduced to this place by true blue Bengalis.
I have never actually been to the place because we always ended up ordering in with a huge group. The advantage of that is that I ended up trying up so many things on their menu. I love their chops- be it the vegetable, mocha or mutton. The fish kabiraji is something you should try. But be warned, this thing is HUGE. If you are ordering this, then you should stick to one starter but this fish cutlet covered in egg is heavy!
For the mains, I would highly recommend the alu poshto, any fish curry(keep your mind open, these guys always have just one option so it doesnt matter what you want), chollar dal and rice. If you dont like seafood, then go with chicken kosha- a tangy and spicy chicken curry. I have never tryied ordering the luchis(puris) from here . But if you are at the restaurant, you could order it as an accompanying item.
The desserts are the traditional bengali sweets- misti doi and rasgulla-both of which were nice. A special mention here for the divine mango chutney they have. It really is a must order.
The place is pricey or maybe its just that my group always gets so excited when we order from here that we end up over ordering and over eating. Their rice portions are hig. so take note of that while ordering. Also be prepared to find that a lot of items are not always available, including popular items like mishti doi. All in all, its yummy food which will ensure that you will be tooo full for even breakfast next day.
Was in the vicinity when came to know about this place. Visited with my friends who never tried bengali food and grabbed this opportunity.
The ambiance is very simple as I have seen in other outlets. Relatively clean with seating arrangements to accommodate approx 20-25. Limited staff along with the guy in cash counter who was quite amicable.
So I ordered for fish fry as starter followed by veg meals, macher kalia (spicy fish gravy) and mutton dak bangala.
First we got the fish fry which was nicely done. It was a surprise that they gave ketchup and not kasundi (mustard sauce) as it is available in all bengali restaurants.
Veg meals comprised of aloo potol curry, sukto (mix veg preparation) dal along with rice. The curries were too good, guys liked it a lot.
Fish preparation was pretty average to me, though others enjoyed it as trying first time.
Best part was the mutton. I got my favourite potato cubes in that :). Mutton was so tender that it was getting separated from as we were serving. Delectable!!!
Also need to mention about chutney which was sheer delight!!
We were so full that were not able to try any dessert. A nice place to try out bengali cuisines which is quite easy on wallet too.
dis has come to no 1st in my list bcoz 'bhojohori manna'(which was initially first) went way down to d bottom..one of d best place where u can get d exact taste of ur home food.d reception n host is very gud..n at all heavy on ur pockets..comin to dis city u mi8 hear a lot about best bengali resto as bhojohori, bt try out dis...n let me know..my 4.5 stars says it all for my appreciation..
Awesome Taste with Average ambience....Overall experience was quite satisfying:)....ordered Fish Finger with Chicken Kosha and Raadha ballavi...All were lip smacking :)....Parking is a bit problem....Cheers to Bangaliana :) :) :)

Had a craving fir bengali food....went with friends..not that big a place..normal to mediocre ambience..handful of courteous staff and good food....ordered dal, aloo bhajji, chingri posto and pomphret....all those tasted real good....lastly the mishti doi..awesome....cheers guys....
Authentic spicy chicken and mutton dishes ...............................its most homely food you can taste in Bangalore....................
A must go for a homely Bengali meal. It is a family run tiny outlet but amazing food! Quality and quantity.
A meal for two: approx. INR 200-300
To have a weekend worthy of Bengali food, try out this in Koramangala 7thBlock in the alley right beside Koramangala Social. Their meals are quite good if you want to try out all things that are there. Ask for the daily specials they make for Weekends. The place is a bit slow with their cooking and might take time to get your food prepared as they mostly focus on deliveries. Try their Paturi, Fish Fry, Kabiraji and Mutton. The food is top notch to cover up for the waiting time. The meal prices are bit more on weekends than in weekdays obviously. Quite an old restaurant with not much seating space but a homely ambience and Bengali Pujo Pandal songs always playing in the background.
I feel just like home peace, quality of food awesome 😎,good experience in 1st time in Bengali food🥰
A small shop that serve authentic Bengali food. Taste is so yummy. I loved their fish that is prepared in Bengali style.
But it is bit price for the food quantity & items served.
Very nice Bengali Ambience, clean and subtle place. A great place for lunch. Loved the fish fingers for starters. Bengali Pulao was great too. Chicken Dakbangla was okayish and loved the Gud Rasgulla and Mishti Doi. The place is filled with paitings all over which gives it a culturally rich look. Do visit!
A truly wonderful place for authentic Bengali cuisine. The looks of the restaurant can be deceiving considering the good quality food that they serve. A variety of options are available for non vegetarian people.
This place tries to serve authentic Bengali cusine.
Tried
1)Mochar chops(starter)
2)Aloo Postho
3)Channar Dalna
4)Pabda jal
5)luchi
6) Bangla pulav
7) RashaGulla(❤️)
Almost all are good .but as it is a Bengali restraunt one should expect everything to be mildly sweet ,and filled with sesame flavour.
RashaGulla is out of the world.almost like the ones available in Kolkata.
Don't expect spicy food here. Know the cusine and go for it
If you want to have Authentic Bengali food Then you must visit Bengaliana. Which is 20 years old small restaurant in seventh Block Koramangala . Food is just wow and amazing , mouthwatering . Must try on the menu is mustard gravy fish . Each thing on the menu is a must try , we had ordered luchi which is puri and dum aloo, Aam panna was so delicious, pabda jhal, betki, white rice . Every thing was fantastic.
Most delicious Kerala style food in Bengaluru! The taste of thalaserry biryani along with the kothu parotta and the chicken roast was to die for. The onam sadhya is as famous and looking forward the next time.
I kinda liked the restaurant and ofcourse the food! I was craving for a good Bengali food and Bangalikhana had not disappointed me..The ambience looks as if we are in Kolkata.. The owner was very nice. Price wise, I ordered a veg thali which had - a potion of rice, two shobjis, dal, aloo jhuri bhaja, chatni, and one mishti for ₹200. So considering the expensive Bangalore City, it is definitely cost friendly. I'll recommend this restaurant 🙂
Visited this place on a Saturday afternoon for lunch.
The sitting is simple, a few nice throwback food related poetry on the ceiling that makes you nostalgic.
Ordered the prawn masala, Alu posto, Bangali pulav and dhokar dalna to go.
The portion size was good, taste and freshness of the food excellent, especially the prawn.
Had their Aam panna sharbat to beat the heat, decently tasty. Would visit again👍
