Review Adyar Ananda Bhavan - Bengaluru

Sharath KS
A real casual restaurant at South End Road, well maintained. Do I really need to write about food taste? It's quite well known among the people. Delicious food taste. I personally prefer mini Tiffin here as it is pocket friendly and worth for money. One thing I would bring up here is costly prices, though they are giving good food or service but price should be nominal. When same category restaurants are giving at slashed price, why can't A2B? One coffee is 25 RsπŸ˜“ One liter milk it self is around 30 Rs but these peoples are making robbery. Complaints asides, best for vegans that's it.

Nothing to boast or deprecate A2B as it's a well known joint, our order was, # Plate of idly - β‚Ή30 - 9/10 - Great idly, great chutneys and an awesome Sambhar. # Masala dosa - β‚Ή71 - Good Masala dosa with some good chutneys and Sambhar. My report card Price – 6/10 Taste – 8/10 Service – 6/10 Ambience – 4/10 Value for money – 8/10 Will I go back – Absolutely
Adarsh Kadambar
Wide variety of menu is available. Centralised AC restaurant with good ambience. Ghee pongal was good but the quantity served is less. Chutney and samabar was descent.

Nice chats. Specially like the Anarkali Chat. I'm not very fond of the sweets though. The south Indian food is not good as per Me. It's Newly Renovated.

Taste and food quality is good. But, too expensive

Good variety of sweets and savouries are available here. The food items served here are not that tasty. One would get good filter coffee here. The instant powder items are good.

Easily visible from normal traffic. Good for snacks and coffee. Standing and seating facilities are available. Over all good. Good place to spend time with friends and relatives. Pls make a thumb's up if the review is helpful

The place is well located, but has issues with parking and no valet service. The food is good, more known for the condiments than the restaurant food. There's a token system, and it is self-served. Which is an outlier for the restaurants in the area.

Place was cramped. Food was ok. There was lot of delay in serving customers. Not sure what was going on. Children were hungry but food was not served. Thali was given first. But Dosa and Parartha got delayed. It will be good if they can get or arrange more space so that crowd can be managed well. No AC hall.

Must visit for different varieties of Dosa . The taste is really authentic and nice, specially chatni and sambhar are delicious. Try to opt for self service than table service if its manageable coz it will help to save around 10 bucks per item. The filter coffee is also a must try. Enjoy maadiπŸ‘πŸ‘

Good place for buying sweets and savoury items. They serve food l, light snacks, milkshakes and other eatables. Maintenance of cleanliness is fair but still scope for improvement.

Pros: Spacious, quite, perfect for Family Cons: costly. One of the bad A2B Branches I have visited. They delay everything. Some items doesn't worth half the price.

same style of food and sweet stall, space is very limited, food is of same menu as other adyar ananda bhavan restaurants, no much difference, but the coffee, tea, milk, needs some authentication, so thick and sticks to tongue, pl suggest why it is, so.

Food is good and authentic south Indian taste but this place seems to be congested. The atmosphere is so hot even if they have AC it always feels very hot inside. Seema like no AC is working. One more thing is that order juices before food or else you will finish up with your food and you will still keep on waiting for juiced.

Their food is below average and hygiene is very poor. The prices are extremely high for their very poor service. Especially their fruit juices are way expensive for such disgusting taste.

The same old A2B....enjoyed a paneer grilled sandwich,,,,pani puri....and some strong coffee....all around 2pm in the afternoon when I could not find any place nearby for a quick snack rather than a meal.

I visited A2B with all my friends to have lunch and we guys had absolutely yummy food with very good serving. They serve very fresh and hot food. You must definitely try Rice with drumstick sambar, Rice with Khara Kuzhambu and South Indian Thali meals which have an amazing taste. I would definitely love to visit again!

Last Option!

There’s nothing that I’ve liked about A2B foods. What I always feel is that they are pricing high for the food which is not worth. It’s just an average food restaurant.

The packaging was bad. soup box was broken and leaked entirely.

Had been here for lunch. Opted for self service n had sambar rice. While the taste was good, the quantity was less and they charge a bomb. Coffee was nice. Nothing much to rave about.

Horrible service . Waiters were disappearing often from the service area. Wanted to place orders but was told not possible to service. Finally got an Uttapam which was average

Would like to rate down for sweets and food items their sweets are not made out of quality material which puts customer health on risk as they use artificial agents and emulsifiers with msg and the milk they use is also not of quality one hence don't recommend sweets from this sweets shop

Had been to this A2B outlet with colleagues for lunch, we ordered north & south Indian meals but found it too expensive against the no. of items on plates and also the taste. Could have been much better.

Good place for a quick meal specially for veggies. Been to here many times never got disappointed. I like the dosa and coffee here. Will back here again and again.

Good veg restaurant, located right opposite shiv sagar.
They serve vadas crispy and hot.
The mini breakfast has a good quantity of food. The red chutney was tasty. The sweet in the breakfast however was too sweet for my liking.

I would recommend this place to all those who are in love with South Indian food
They serve everything from Beverages to the three main meals of the day and a large variety of snacks and sweets .
I loved the dosa and Sambar Vada I tried here.
Kinda good actually .

This one is near surana college. I would have the pav Bhaaji and chola samosa chaats from here. The namkeens are a hit here. It has small place for eating too. The sweets are good too. Extra star for the yum pav bhaaji here.

Located very close to south end circle, this outlet of A2B Is one of the cleanest that I have seen. It is still the the usual place to hog on some superbly prepared Chaats and south Indian specialities like Dosa. Love the way they give 3 varieties of Chutney with every portion of Dosa. Their range of fruit juices contain 100% fruit with no additives as such. Overall, a nice place which gets crowded during peak hours, but yes.. a must visit when you're in this part of town!

I visited once after my NTTdata interview...I tried rava masala dosa it is OK for a one-time visit...the prices are too high(sky rocketing)..I have to go nearest ATM to withdraw money after seeing the menu..my sincere request to management is to reduce the prices of Dosas

Went to the newly opened A2B on Kanakapura road. The ambience is pretty overdone. The sitting space is not an issue, parking space is pretty OK.
Coming to the main thing, we went in to eat chaats and we're disappointed with almost everything we had ordered for. The Sev puri it was a doughy, and hopelessly difficult to chew with not sev on the top, but OMPUDI( it's a South Indian snack) and something about the cornflakes mixture was not giving a good taste.
Coming to Dahi Puri, it was filled with curd and very little masala mixture.
The paav bhaaji had tooo much of garlic flavor which actually killed the taste of bhaji, but the paav was definitely better.
We thought of having dinner too, so ordered Gobhi Tikka, this was a pathetic dish, this was no tandoor, but a par boiled cauliflower with a hint of tikka masala coating, and the mint chutney was almost a disaster.
2 rating is just for the ambience but definitely not for anything we ordered. Just stick to the Chennai specialties, you can have a hearty meal, for everything else your kitchen servers best.!!!

Again another A2B outlet in jayanagar. Listed very close to college and software sector, this place fails to cater to the needs of the people in here.
The Doses they serve are awful. The batter is sour and stale. Their sweets n chaats are okish.

This branch too has been one of my haunts since ages and I frequent this place to have some crispy jalebis in the evenings once in awhile. Finding a parking spot is also very good around this restaurant and hence my friends & I like to visit it. On this particular evening, I had to meet a friend over there & I deiced to have a plate of Rava idlis & chow-chow baat while my friend decided to have masala dosa. One thing I appreciate at this outlet, is their brisk service. The folks behind the self-service counters do a nice & quick job so that we don't have to wait for eons before our food is handed over to us. Grabbing a nice cosy place in a corner, we started to have a bite. The rava idli was fresh, fluffy and very tasty too. The kesari baat was well done while the khara baat was a little let down for me. My friend's masala dosa was well cooked and tasty yummy too. Having polished off everything on our plates, I decided to order some garma, garam jalebi. But this was not to be as it s raining & they couldn't make the jalebis that evening.Β I will be back for sure to grab a whole plate of piping hot jalebis soon.

Have eaten the fare from here often. It's my back up option when I don't want to cook!. The breakfast options are the best. Love their crispy doses and vadas. The masala uppit/upma or rawa kichidi is awesome!. Lunch menus are the regular stuff. The evening filter coffee is a winner. If you are looking for an evening snack, try their pav bhajis-mouth watering!. But very very pricey stuff!!.

This is a review from a lunch visit on 11th June '14.
We were a group of 4 and at the regular lunch time of 1:30 to 2pm, the restaurant was serving only Meals. So, we ordered for Plate Meals and South Indian Meals and some Gulaab Jamoon.

The Plate Meals is a combo of different items of limited quantity and was not worth the try.
The South Indian Meals on the other hand, is the typical spread we all know, but did not taste good either.
Gulaab Jamoon on the other hand was good, nothing great to talk about.

This place scores low on all aspects.
