Visited this place twice. This place now, is nothing like how it used to be earlier and as shown in the pictures. The lawn and outdoor seating arrangement is gone. The rest of the place is dimly lit, very dirty and not at all maintained. We went in the evening and all the dishes for lunch were kept unwashed in one corner in the seating area. The chairs were filled with dust and the place had stagnant water with mosquitoes all round. Not at all well maintained. Very disappointed!

Vegetarian South Indian fare offered in a bungalow setting with antique furniture & green lawns.<br/><br/>Picture here is the jowar roti meals which was scrumptious filled with variety of options .<br/><br/>

This is such a nice place to visit and taste good food with good ambiance. The staffs treat you so well in this place

The ambience of the place is really soothing , the outdoor is closed for maintenance right now, Singapore fried rice had a pepper shoot to a non pepper lover but the badam milk and cold coffee were fine... There should be an improvement in service.

Writing review from the restaurant.<br/><br/>Pathetic Services, poor taste and uncourteous staff.<br/><br/>Just the ambiance is good but not worth the time they take to serve.<br/><br/>Disappointed.

Food is tasty.. wrong food was served we had ordered weekend spl puri thali but they served North karnataka curries with puri when asked the waiter responded saying that curries were finished ambiance is poorly managed most of the table were not having proper lights

I have been here twice, once for breakfast and once for dinner.<br/>This is one of the best places to visit as a short ride from Bangalore or you are traveling from or away from Bangalore.<br/>They have amazing ambience, wide green lawn and ethnic brass utensils in which they serve food is main attraction.<br/>Food here is also good priced very decent for there ambience and service.<br/>Weekend dinner with my gang of 12 ppl went great with huge wooden table and candle light setup with amazing service, had a great time.

The ambiance is nothing like it shows in the photographs here. At least not anymore. There are 2-3 stairways to enter the restaurant, all very steep and small with rubbles of small stones strewn across. Carrying a child and descending those steps felt quite risky.<br/>Anyway, coming back to the ambiance. There are no green lawns and a very limited open seating area. I wanted to spend a good 2-3 hours having lunch and evening snacks here while enjoying the green lawns with my kid but it turned out to be a dud affair. Food was average (I just had masala and paper masala dosa). Hospitality was standard and cleanliness was average.

Vattika is around 40kms away from the Bangalore city.<br/>Drive to this place for a long drive and a peaceful ambiance.<br/>They serve some really delicious South Indian delicacy, they also serve North Indian and Chinese. <br/>It gets completely jam packed on weekends, getting a table would be a great task.<br/>Try getting there a bit early, by 7 maybe!

It is a very beautiful place. It has got an amazing ambience. You can sit here peacefully. The staff members were polite and helpful. The food tastes good.

Place is not as shown in photos. Road widening cut down the lawn. Felt bad🙃

We came back again but experience was Worst. service was horrible , Most dishes unavailable, food quality dropped to south most. Pls don’t come

It is a quite and serene gateaway from Bangalore within 40kms. Went for breakfast. If not for anything else the place deserves five stars just for their ambiance. But the food they serve is also great. The rava dosa was too good. If you go for lunch do try their amazing thalis. Service is prompt and good.

Malgudi Vattika is one of my favorite breakfast stop on Mysore road. The ambience is so snoothing with a wide range of south indian breakfast options and amazing service.<br/><br/>If you love to go for long drive early morning must try it out yourself to get authentic south indian breakfast feels.<br/>

This place in Mysore road is a good place to have food before/after a long drive . I have visited this place twice . Earlier I have had breakfast but this time I went during lunch and tried their special Jollada roti Oota . It’s a weekend special Thali with Jollada roti . I really liked it . The Thali is filled with different delicacies of Karnataka . It was super tasty. The Meals are super filling and quantity is good . <br/>

It's a nice place to get out of Bangalore for a short drive and nice food, only vegeterian though. Ambiance is set up in parallel lines of Malgudi days stories. Food is nice and is service is good.

It was an impromptu visit to Vattika, while returning from Manchanabele Dam. We just googled and dropped in here, as we couldn't find any decent restaurants near by. And to our surprise, it was not decent... But more than what we asked for. A garden restaurant with lantern lighting and a calm ambience, it made our evening suprisingly awesome. Staffs are very courteous, esp. Vijay (from Hobli).<br/>And yes... About the food! It complemented the ambience, not too rich not too bland but perfectly balanced.<br/>Being a non-vegetarian, I recommend this Vegetarian restaurant, so you can assume how good it it.<br/>If you're on Mysore Road, it's a must visit. You will not regret it.

Ambience - Took a drastic hit due to Mysore Road widening and lost its charm.<br/>Food - Quality Has come down substantially, not worthy of the morning breakfast / Night Dinner drive.

The place has good ambience and the service is fast. But the food needs improvement. The taste isn't that great. It needs improvement with respect to taste.

Bang on the highway, amidst some greens this place offers a breath of fresh air literally. The setup and ambience will remind you of Malgudi Days for sure (for those who know). Service is good and food is good too. I'd recommend to go when you have a bit of extra time to enjoy the food at leisure. A rainy day would be even better.

Long Drive , Rains and Nice rustic village like cafe to order chai and Bajji .... What else you would ask for ?<br/>We have been here twice on the way to Mysore . Ideal place to go for breakfast or evening snacks ,after a long drive. Greenary and old rustic charm of this place is unparalleled!! Food is good , specially tea . Service is average .

Loved this ambience. Best place for a family outing. Reminds us of our childhood days. Green lushed place ,wooden benches, lanterns and a cart. Ambience supercedes the food taste.

Vattika, Mysore road.<br/><br/>It was awesome place, it's like vintage lifestyle.<br/>Everything is good but thier service was little slow, and taste also quite good, Best place to hangout with family and friends. Kids will like this place. And especially it's a outdoor sitting and it's well maintained, very neat place.<br/><br/>ambience :5/5<br/>quality : 4/5<br/>service : 4/5<br/>taste : 4/5<br/>value for money : 4/5<br/>overall : 4/5

The ambiance seems to be good but when u C it from the kitchen... I came here at 8:20 and it's filled with mosquito, it was as if they were zombies and v were food... One of the worst experience... No light at all and couldn't even c what I was eating... Yes I can understand the concept of having dinner in the lamp... But there need to be some. Basic light to see what you are eating... Even if the food is freshly hand cooked by gorden ramsy I wouldn't eat it here... No today not anyday...
Akhil Khandeparkar
Such a peaceful place this is. Lovely seating both outdoor and indoors and the food is nice too. There was a lot of things not available on the menu and for some reason there is limited things which they serve for the outdoor portion but the food is good and that why I'm giving this place 4 stars. If you are traveling to and from mysuru, please take some time out and spend it here.
Shivika
Great food. Great service. Great setting. Inside-Outside, Garden view. Everything is just amazing about this restaurant. The original historic setting with great vegetarian food and lots and lots of variety.

This is the worst place on can go. Had one of the worst experience . I had placed an order and for 60mins there wasn't anyone to deliver it. Moreover , the guests coming after us were served.<br/>Inspite of telling them , they were very careless .<br/>They have no respect for people's time.<br/>The restaurant has only few number of tables and in that of they are not able to serve properly , it's pathetic management. It's high time to train your staff to sustain..<br/><br/>I suggest no one to go there if u respect yourself..
SeasonedWell
You want to go on a long drive and have some delicious vegetarian food, then this is the place!<br/>I just love the ambience, it so green and peaceful. I love how the outdoor seating is setup so perfectly. You might have to wait for your table depending on the day and time of your visit but otherwise it's totally worth the long drive.<br/>The food here is very authentic and they are known for their thalis. We also ordered Shrikhand and puris which was very tasty! The thali is something you should definitely try! However, I feel they could have better service and lesser wait time.
Preethy Parasuraman
Huh.. really???! ! 0 ambience, 1 rating for food. No crowd.. this place has lost its charm<br/>Waste to drive till here!! Not at all worth.. had heard a lot about this place. But very disappointed.. service bad hardly any anyone to serve..
Harini Raveendra
Ambience and all that is fine. But food is worst. I ordered cheese masala dosa and paneer pakoda, they were so bad that I was food poisoned because of it. This restaurant has to work on its food so badly. After I came back I puked for some two times along with loose motion.

Have been to Vatika for Sunday lunch.<br/><br/>Place is not same as before because of road widening. Ambience is not that pleasant like how it use to be as explained by one of the friend who accompanied us(this was his third time).<br/><br/>Coming to the food, we have ordered the following<br/><br/>1. Misal pav - Taste was good but it could have been little more spicy.<br/><br/>2. Sabudana Vada - Taste was good and it was well crisp and cooked<br/><br/>3. Srikhand Puri & Aloo sabzi- Srikhand was freshly prepared and very delicious. Our favourite from all the dishes we ordered<br/><br/>4. Jollada Roti - Served with two curry one bajji, lehsoon chatni. One should have acquired taste for it.<br/><br/>5. Paneer tikka gravy - Paneer was soft and cooked fine but the oil probably was different from the usual because of which the taste was quite different<br/><br/>6. Veg Kolhapuri - Mix veg gravy Kolhapuri style.<br/><br/>7. Peas pulao - Good in taste<br/><br/>8. Butter roti, Butter Nan and Lachha Paratha<br/><br/>9. Fresh lime soda and Mango Lassi<br/><br/>Overall food was good few things were really good in taste.<br/><br/>If you are crossing this place go and visit and can have relaxing lunch and dinner.

Reading so many positive reviews and such amazing things about this place, we planned to travel 35kms one day to get here.<br/>First disappointment - open air section near d garden was closed 'under maintenance'<br/>Second disappointment - few tables in d outside area were taken. So we had to sit inside. It was like sitting inside an oven. Hot, humid, no exhaust, no air, no light. It was literally dark.<br/>Third disappointment- the food. We ordered Cheese Masala Dosa. It was hilarious, bcoz I got cheese only in d first bite.<br/>The Chow Chow Bhath was just OK. Nothing special. Nothing extraordinary that u have to travel for more than an hour to go n eat.<br/>The place is completely worn out. It needs a total revamp.<br/>The prices they charge are just obnoxious.<br/>Not recommended
Gnani Gururaj
I have been here multiple times (breakfast, lunch and dinner) and I totally recommend this place! A cozy dinner or a calm and sunny breakfast, this place is the best.<br/>Try their thalis if you get to visit here at lunch or dinner time, they are Soo good and worth the price.<br/>It's a little far from heart of Bangalore, but recently I discovered that ola operates till here, it worth the travel.<br/>It's a huge property and is so green, clean and we'll maintained. We love it!
Rahul Diwakar
I had visited VATTIKA today, I ordered for poori sagu, when I received I got a poori deep fried with cockroach, worst place never visit, very badly maintained.

The food is good. Need more improvement in the service part. There was no water in the washrooms. Have wait for the person to serve you food. The 4 start rating is only for the food
Priyanka Rachaiah
Quiet and calm place. Good ambience. Food was good too. However felt there was a bit of delay in serving food. Ideal for weekend family getaways.<br/>

Heard from from lot of people that it is worth a visit but the reviews were mixed with both positive and negative comments. <br/>I was not sure till we entered the place and had our appetiser. And guess what I liked it. <br/>The sweet corn soup was delicious as well as the starters. We had North Indian menu for dinner. <br/>Except the kulcha, lots of sesame seeds which I should have thought of before placing the order. <br/><br/>In all it was a good experience. Will visit again soon.

Its the first time we went here based on reviews but was a disappointment , place was dimly lit .<br/>First came the soup very diluted no flavour then the manchurian very first bite i could sense something wrong, tasteless half cooked.<br/><br/>So we just left half of it and got the heck out of there. I had a severe stomach pain in the night and my daughter had indigestion....<br/><br/>Overrall a v.disappointing experience.

One of the best places to enjoy good food with romantic ambiance, try visiting on weekends so you have access for the table near garden, has the perfect lighting for your special day.

Its nature place aswell as it is calm and peace to chill out vid ur luvd ones ..<br/>They could hv decored their items stil more pretty good..and clean<br/>Food is average ,service is good and also the quality of food is moderate.<br/>

Based on Malgudi days theme , this is one of best vegetarian restaurant in the Mysore Road highway.. Must try is jollada roti thali.. great ambience and awesome staff.
Sridhar Tempalle
Guys, except Misal Pav which is reasonable in Maharashtrian section, rest are placed too costly. Just because the names are new doesn't mean it should cost more. Will visit though to taste them.

A very pleasant place with lot of greenery around..the service is very quick and swift and friendly..photolovers will be crazy abt the place..the coconut holige was very good..and the oly disadvantage is there is a lot of jain food wch is nt dat spicy or tangy instead its a but pale and not interesting..its a very clean place..the management has managed it very well...

Food is really very tasty. Serving time is longer than expected apart from that everything is awesome. Tandoori baby corn and palak paneer with kulcha is delicious.

Located at the outskirts of the city, this place is BEAUTIFUL!<br/>We travelled all the way from Rajankunte to eat here. We ordered thalis, and it was absolutely delicious!<br/>They also provide outdoor seating in the garden. The overall place screams of heritage and a village set up. It takes you back to Malgudi days as the name of the restaurant suggests.<br/>You can see gramaphone in one corner, while the other has a vase full of cane.<br/>Overall it's a must visit.

**Pleasant place on out skirts of Bangalore**<br/><br/>On our way back to Bangalore from Madikeri we hit this place. Its situated on Mysore road just after Bidadi. The place looks very beautiful in the night with all those lighting arrangements. It looks like more of dating spot.<br/><br/>We ordered for Jolada rotti meals and it was decent enough with wide varities of curries and sides(little amount). But sad part is its a limited meal, you are charging 250+ at least you can provide curries and rotti extra.<br/><br/>Ambience:4.5/5<br/>Service:3.5/5<br/>Food:4/5<br/><br/>

I've been to this place so Many times coz i like the way they've designed the restaurant.<br/>Same as an old Village restaurant. Which looks really great.<br/>Even i like the service as well the food over there.<br/>And even the Vibes are great.<br/>Feels like sitting in your own garden & having served by such friendly people.<br/>The only challenge is there are too much of Mosquitoes where u've to donate too much of blood unwantedly. But no offense that's natural too.<br/>It's a vegetarian restaurant.<br/>Must try the Lassi.<br/>Pls Visit would definitely visit again.<br/>

After hearing a lot about this place from my friends, I decided to go here for an early morning breakfast on a Sunday.<br/><br/>The place is easy to find, and is just a few minutes away from Wonderla on Mysore road. The ambience is quite rustic, and looks nice.<br/><br/>The food on the other hand, is really average. None of the dishes we took stood out either in taste or quality. Service is kinda chaotic and disorganized. Pricing wise too, I found it kinda expensive for what's on offer.<br/><br/>Lots to improve in terms of food, service and hygiene - in my opinion.
Abhishek Sahoo
We paid this restaurant a visit on our anniversary, and were a bit disappointed with the service levels. The south indian dishes were great, but the main course Malai kofta was extremely greasy oily and rich, which rendered it inedible.
Gangadhara Gk
Food is not worth it money plz don't go any body and don't waste the money.......this I bought 2 meals there but taste is not good and quantity also very less
Amey Deshmukh
Rating 3 because service is not so good and Food is okay. Don't come here for lunch this is a good place only for breakfast in the mornings. Ambience is vintage and more nature which is good.
Chandrashekhar Aithal
I had been to this place 3 years ago and it was maintained with good quality and hygienic. Now it turnout to be the worst restaurant. No taste, no hygiene. Check the glasses, handwash and bathroom. Horrible.
Anish
I recently visited the place along with family and friends last weekend and was had a terrible experience. As we got seated in the outdoor facility they have one of the waiters came and literally started scolding all of us as we had moved a table according to our convenience. Inspire of my wife's effort of asking him to be polite he continued to be rude and impolite. Finally I had to intervene and to my surprise neither the manager nor the other staff members helped us. Finally we walked out without having breakfast and had a terrible experience. Would suggest not visiting the place if you are with family and you want to have a good experience.

Had been here for breakfast after hearing so much about this restaurant but sadly was not up to the expectation I had .. the sabudana vada was no where close to the taste of sabudana vada.. the Dosa was pretty decent enough !!
Rama Chandran B
Waste of time and money. Any darshini food will sure taste better than here. Price is terribly high for that quality. Very rude staff. Have to wait for very long for everything, even for a glass of water. any complaint to the manager, he wont even bother to listen

Being a constant traveller on Mysore road , I would always zip by Vatikka , as shivahalli and Kamat lokaruchi were the usual breakfast joints we visited. But the beautiful location coupled with the Malgudi days vibe were tempting enough to give Vattika a try.<br/><br/>Ambience is one of the strong points of Vatikka. Beautifully done interiors and equally good seating areas outside, there is nothing much to complain about. Overall , definitely a nice place for a pitstop.<br/><br/>*Breakfast Review Only*<br/>Coming to the food, we ordered the usual South Indian staples. Masala dosa , vada, pongal, Mini idli and coffee. The food on the whole was pretty average in my opinion, the mini idlis were nice only to be let down by a tad over sweet sambar. The dosa wasn't the best and nor was the vada. The pongal on the other hand was rather nice, it was everything I have come to expect from a good pongal.<br/><br/>The service was a bit chaotic, with the waiters seemingly always in a daze or left a bit confused. But we were seated outside , so I won't be over critical on them.<br/><br/>Overall , ambience is good so props to them for that. Reading other reviews, lunch and dinner looks to be their forte, will definitely give that a try one day. Definitely no where near as good for breakfast as Kamat or shivahalli.

This is place is located on mysore road after nice road when you go from Bangalore. It is famous for its lantern dinner specially with a group of friends or your bae. We went here last night with friends while returning from mysore. It has 2 garden areas 1 at the back and 1 at the front, also 1 indoor area. we liked the back garden more. The tables awere decorated with lantern and rose petals. Perfect place for a date. Coming to the food we had:<br/>1. Misal pav: nice in taste<br/>2. Crispy corn: very nice in taste.<br/>3. Tandoori veg platter: nice but had lots of potatoes, instead they could have put some veg kebab.<br/>For main course we had:<br/>1. Paneer lababdar: it was nice in taste.<br/>2. Dal makhani: was bad, it had sweet taste very bad.<br/> <br/>Service is ok ok, quantity of dishes should be more specially main course. Ambiance is ver nice and food quality needs to improve.
Vegetariano_SinS
Special lantern light dinner, well maintained garden seating combined with a long drive with your loved ones, just the way, a perfect romantic evening would feel like. Perfect place to escape from the fussy Bangalore traffic and pollution and to spend to quality time with. <br/><br/>Coming to the service, it's pretty slow. And the food I tried with them goes like,<br/><br/>Starters:<br/>Misal Pav : OK-ish<br/>Crispy corn : very yummy and a must try<br/><br/>Main course:<br/>Paneer lababdar : delicious<br/>Dal Makhani : sweet and quantity is less<br/>Garlic naan, laccha parata : soft and delicious<br/><br/>I enjoyed dining with them. Do visit them to get lost with the scenic theme of vattika.<br/><br/>
C Krithika
nice place to visit with family. lots of open space plus inside dining area as well. The ambience is interestingly done up. We ordered the Jolada roti Oota and Poori Oota. The roti and Puri were good, but they can offer some gravy based curry to pair with the roti and poori. We only had dry subjis and salads plus rasam and sambhar which didnt combine well. But overall the items were quite tasty. Service is also good and staff was courteous.<br/>If you are looking for a restaurant away from the city buzz or want to stop en route to Mysore or Madikeri, do check this place out.
Apoorva (@khatoonkhanekishaukeen)
Beautiful restaurant situated on Mysore road..<br/>Green ambience, clean place.. old copper articles.<br/><br/>They have both, indoor and outdoor seating arrangements.<br/>We opted for outdoor.<br/>We had paneer pakoda, their speciality missal pav, gulab jamun and chai.<br/>Pakoras were very tasty, crisp and paneer was soft.<br/>Missal too had that authentic Maharashtrian taste.<br/>Pavs were not fresh.<br/>Jamun was okay.<br/>Chai was bang on!! In a chilled whether a glass of chai on Mysore road admiring greenery was a bliss.<br/><br/>Overall ratings:<br/>Food : 4/5<br/>Service : 3.5/5<br/>Ambience : 4/5<br/>Pocket friendly : 3/5

Amidst an old rustic bungalow setting is a snail's pace service... I forgot what I had ordered by the time they served... Food is average; nothing to boast about ... You may visit this place for the beautiful ambience.

Used to be a good place to eat, but recently went there and the service was abysmal. The owner lied to us, the food was cold, and we were made to sit in a corner. Also, we were bitten by dozens of mosquitos, because the staff ignored our requests to bring a coil. Not going to revisit for a very long time.
Suresh
We went with lot of expectations but were disappointed by service and attitude of the staff worst service staff not at all interested in their jobs
Siddhanth Subbaiah
Very poor management and hospitality. While the food is great and they are no complains about that but the staff could have treated us better. Recommended for the food.

Unique Themed Hotel<br/><br/>My visit to this Hotel was unplanned.<br/>When i was driving along the Mysore Road, i observed the name of this hotel and it was just 5 kms away.<br/>I was attracted by the unique name which goes by "Malgudi Days". ("Initially this Hotel was named as Malgudi Vattika and later renamed to Vattika")<br/><br/>Thought of giving a try and visited the hotel.<br/>I was impressed by the looks and service of the Hotel.<br/><br/>The hotels theme matches Malgudi days,Old designed Cupboards,Fan themed Menus and even the staff wear the unique uniforms with caps.<br/><br/>The Food was good.<br/><br/>Overall completely worth a visit.

Place is all decked up from outside. When I stepped into the restaurant I could only get phenyl smell.. Then when I went to Wash hands, I could see the place being so so dirty.. Washroom was worse than railway station toilet.. When surroundings are so bad, I didn't have the guts to eat anything there.

If you are a veg lover & want to go out of the city to have a relaxed dinner/lunch then this could be it.<br/>Food - 3<br/>Ambience - 4.5<br/>Service - 4<br/>Overall definitely will give u a happy experience.

Food: 2.5 <br/>Ambience: 4.5<br/>Service: Doesn’t deserve to be rated<br/><br/>Nothing wow about the food, price little bit on higher side for the quantity they provide.<br/>Table service was pathetic and the arrogance they carry show how serious the management is in treating their customers<br/>First he asked us to ‘GET UP’ and seated us somewhere in the corner like treating a criminal.<br/>Never took service, made us wait and was showing off around openly rejecting us even though we were asking for service, 15 mins later asked someone else to take our order.<br/>Later served us as though we are under his debt and he is feeding us in a refugee camp.<br/>The ambience they have created and invested is of complete waste when they have such a bad service on offer. When you have taken your friends and family out to spend some quality time last thing you want is a service supervisor showing attitude in the face.<br/><br/>Name of the supervisor/server: Mr.Prasad<br/>Date 01/11/2018<br/>Time 9 AM

Will not recommend this place. No food is available. The place is on the highway and no food is served. The staff has no clue what to do. The place is very bad in terms of hospitality. Have some indication to show the restaurant closes soon. Don’t disappoint the customers with no food! The manager has no decency to come and apologise. Very bad experience at this place.
Indu Mundachadira
Giving 1 rating but really wish there negative marking too.. this place is only abt greenery and it ends there. Food sucks , ppl suck. Cleanliness is to dogs. Not worth a coffee also . Don't waste time n money at this sick place. They don't deserve to b in the service industry.

Had been to this place for dinner on a tuesday night while we went out towards mysore road for a long drive after work hours.<br/>The place is easy to locate as it is right on higway and has good space for parking. It is setup in a old bungalow kind of place that has a huge lawn area with stone benches and has both indoor and out door seating options available. where outdoor seating would be table lit up with lanterns. If badluck strikes, mosquito bites comes complimentary with lantern light dinner experience.<br/><br/>There already was a family in here which was celebrating someone's birthday. which did not affect us much as we were seated in the garden area for lantern light dinner. however service was a bit slow.<br/><br/>without much delay we quickly placed our order as they were closing soon. Roti accompanied with kaju masala curry was our preference and we also chose to have Veg hyderabadi biriyani.<br/>kaju masala was really good and tasted yummy with a rich texture to the gravy. It was apt.<br/>Roti was prepared well and was served warm.<br/>Veg Hyderabadii biriyani was my most favourite of all that i ate that day. It was topped with crispy fried onions and coriander chopped finely- then had right amount of spices and veggies that was cooked perfectly. And made with ghee. Which is the best thing about it.<br/><br/>All in all vattika is a decent place for one time experience. with good ambiance and a unique lantern lit dinner experience.<br/><br/>

Nice Veg restaurant on Bangalore-Mysore road. Taste of foods are average. Liked open dining area. Must try thali. Price is average. Enough parking.<br/>

I can't even begin to describe how we felt when i had the food.<br/><br/>Place has a very pretty ambience, nice feel to it. But I didn't end up feeling happy with the food.<br/><br/>The sweet corn soup was extremely sweet, and the chillies in chilli potato were on a vacay. Dal makhani was even mor abysmal.<br/><br/>In short this place isn't for North Indian food.
Poornima Kotagi
I was quite skeptical about to travel so far to grab lunch. As my foodie self pushed me to do it and we traveled so far for the Sunday lunch. Place is breath of fresh air, so much into the nature and all that effort for travelling so far will vanish as soon as you step into the place. Food was average I would say but the feel being part of the nature made food taste good. I am not quite sure whether everyone would like this place after travelling so long but if you are nature lover then do visit.
Sushma Venkataswamy
Initially food was really good and nice ambience. But from past 2 times, the quality was reduced, most of the items on menu are not there and even taste is not great.
Catherine_Dawson
It was a wonderful place😍 ..<br/>It was so traditionally organised.<br/>The staff were welcoming and the way they approached was warm ..<br/>The place had a garden seating and indoor seating.<br/>Garden seating 😍😍was best..and unbeatable..<br/>It was greenery all around and with a view of Mysore road ..<br/>They were serving in copper vessels which is really good for health.🙌<br/>Moreover the place was calm and soothing.<br/><br/>Food was good 😋..(as it was just a rava dosa) and the tea was sugar less..(my friend said so..😅)
Goutham Balakrishnan
Very good traditional vegetarian dishes that you don't find easily these days.<br/>Made with true recipes that will remind you of home cooked food.<br/>Many options to choose from. The ambience is nostalgic of the Malgudi days.<br/>They have dinner served under lantern light which can be romantic or spooky on a rainy night 😛
Prathama
A nice place situated on Mysore road. The ambience is lovely with a village touch to it.Though we had Maharashtraian food like misal pav, puri srikhand, which was good I'm sure they serve good south indian and north indian. It's a nice place for a day out.
Shruti S
Awesome place if you love greenery and the thali was well presented<br/>Worth visiting for experiencing long bike ride and having good food.<br/>Environment friendly .....must visit to spend good time with your loved ones<br/>..loved my visit

Serene! Though it says breakfast place they served a sumptuous lunch ( joladha roti oota). Outdoor seating adds to the ambience.<br/>Only suggestion - a children play area would make it even more interesting for toddlers!

Visited this place after a ride and the ambience and simple but delicious food totally won over. Situated near Wonderland the place is beautiful and serves best, delicious and simple dishes.

It’s a authentic restaurant on Mysore Road . <br/>Ambience is good , greenery around ,lantern lamps and copper (on exterior ) cutlery for meals <br/>I tried the South Indian meals with obatu <br/>Was good <br/>

Visited this restaurant on the way to Channapatna, ordered 1 Jowar roti thali and 1 South Indian thali - definitely not worth the value. Please don’t waste your time and money visiting this restaurant. Unfriendly waiters.

1. Very Expensive 2. Quantity served is like Prasadam in temple 3.Taste is also below average 4.Hygiene is another disappointment. 5. Not so good experience.

One of the worst places to visit. Extremely arrogant and unfriendly staff. Pathetic food. Tasted stale. Must be avoided. Shall be rated zero rather.

An authentic style restaurant in Mysore Road with a great ambience and service. I have had breakfast at this place and like the Idly-Vada combination. The pooris are great as well. <br/>

FIRST GOOD PART:---It's my all time favourite place for afternoon thali... have tried twice south indian thali and this time tried special north karnataka thali... lip smacking experience..<br/>from puran poli mirch vada as starter (all mini sizes) to the whole thali as i have uploaded the picture.<br/>ONLY DRAW BACK.. ICECREAM😏... shouldn't serve that strawberry ice cream .. it just kills the taste of spices.. Rest its lush green place and seating out during day is awesome in good weather...<br/><br/>SECOND BAD PART:--- WOMEN WASHROOMS🙃🙃🙃 though they are clean in premises but so crampy n old now.. its damn difficult for any old age women or people with special needs to use it. Women in young age some how can manage...<br/>VATTIKA being the family place.. owners should definately think about renovating it... as crowd during weekend is immense... and is always 1 hour waiting....

Ambience and service was good.Luckily we got the table in the open.We ordered Tandoori veg platter. The content were Gobi, panner, baby corn and potato and quantity was good, the masala of platter could have been better but we enjoyed it.For main course we ordered dal makhni and Panner labaradar, both were good.<br/><br/>Food 3/5<br/>Ambience 4/5<br/>Service 4/5<br/>Location 4/5

We were a group of four on a drive on a Saturday morning and decided to stop here for breakfast. This place was actually suggested by my friend and I can't thank him enough for it.<br/><br/>Ambience - 5/5<br/><br/>This is one of the most prettiest looking restaurants that I've ever gone in Bangalore. This place has so much calmness in itself. I was so into it that I didn't click too many pictures of it. Good in a way, people reading this can actually go and see it for themselves.<br/><br/>Food - 3.5/5<br/><br/>Their menu is authentic Karnataka style south indian menu. We had their masala dosa, mini idly sambar and poori and Pongal. My biggest takeaway was their vada. It was nice and crispy. While the rest of them were good, I couldn't find any major difference with any other similar restaurant, but what it does to you is because of the ambience. :)<br/><br/>Overall - 4/5<br/><br/>I would have given them a 5 if their food was a tad better, but nevertheless, this place is a must try :)

Most pathetic place I ever visited, ordered for a Mangalore bun, masala dosa, tea and coffee. Service is downgraded to say the least. There is literally nobody to listen to you. The order does not appear on table at all if you don't shout and get it out from them. Tea and coffee however didn't come at all.<br/><br/>Worst place ever. -100 for their service and customer attention. They really don't care for the customers. It's better they shut if they cannot cater customers.
