Review Sanchez Taqueria & Cantina - Bengaluru

AVINASH MIHANI
Bangalore is a vibrant and diverse city with a thriving food scene, and there is no shortage of exciting new restaurants to discover. It's no wonder that we enjoy exploring different dining options each time we go out. As for Sanchez, it seems to have made quite an impression on us. What we enjoy about this particular restaurant? Is it the food, the atmosphere, or the service? Perhaps it's a combination of all three. Must try: Sanchez Fiesta Nachos

Had lunch at Sanchez on Sunday. It was a pleasant experience. The ambience of the place is wonderful and colorful, meets the image of a perfect Mexican restaurant. Food is amazing (if you love spicy food). We tried Buritto bowl that was very well made

Delightful food! Definitely a good break from Chinita for Mexican cuisine lovers. Pros- 1. Swift service 2. Excellent taste 3. Decent portion sizes 4. Helpful staff Cons- 1. Menu is quite limited, especially for vegetarians 2. Limited customisation options for dishes (even if it’s just adding cheese to nachos) Recommendation - Worth a visit.

The place is really colourfull and vibrant. The food and service outstanding and felt genuinely Mexican. Remember that they have now a common kitchen so the menu of Sriracha is on offer too. We stuck to the mexican and from nachos to fajita, hard shelled tacos, potato skins with chicken were really delicious. Parking can be a bit of an issue so park on one of the parallel streets.

The food was nice. We ordered soft and hard veg tequeria and the hard shell corn was better. Can’t complain about the vegetarian quesadilla as well. Even the drinks were okay But the highlight of the dinner was the tres leches. It really tasted good.

Going for dinner on a Sunday night in Indiranagar and that too without a reservation is not the brightest of ideas but we managed to get a table at Sanchez. We had seen this multiple times during our visits to Indiranagar and mostly while visiting Rameshwaram Cafe, which is bang opposite to this restaurant. The food was spectacular. We were starving, so went straight for the main course. We ordered a CHICKEN FAJITA and a SAUTÉED VEGETABLE WET BURRITO. The fajita was the clear winner. It is served in a DIY style where you’d get 4 tortillas, a sizzling plate of chicken and roasted veggies, and a platter of toppings/fillings which has some salsa, cheese, refried beans, cut shallots and tomatoes, sour cream and some flavoured rice. This is also associated with a roasted corn cob. I had read some reviews which talked about the food being bland but I didn’t not feel that at all. It was flavourful from the first bite. The sautéed vegetables wet burrito also gets served with 2 tortillas and a bowl of the fillings of wet burrito. There wasn’t anything to complain about the but in the end it wasn’t a dish that would be etched into your memory. The best thing about both the dishes were the portion sizes. The chicken fajita is good enough to feed 2 people. I would also appreciate the service that we received. We felt that the corn cob was a bit cold when served and they immediately replaced it with a piping hot one on our request. The music was great as they had put a playlist of all the trending Insta reels music tracks, so the relatability was very high. One of the important factors to consider while visiting this restaurant is the traffic on the lane. The road is usually packed and giving the car for valet also takes some effort. But the toiling around the traffic is definitely worth it.

The ambiance is good. The food was delicious too. Loved the nachos. Found tacos but spicy. The mocktails were great. Loved the vibe of this place.

I have always been a fan of Mexican food and this is one of the best places I've tried Mexican. In starters we tried the famous Sanchez Nacho which was so filling with Guacamole and the Mayo, with a pinch of lemon taste to it. For main course we tried the Enchiladas and Quesadilla. Enchiladas were definitely my favorite as it was so wholesome, and so filling. It was very well cooked, the texture and the layers are really good. Zucchini in enchiladas and this with Mayo was just.. straight up hit the spot. The staff was kind enough to explain us the menu and the dishes when we asked about it.

Good food. Good ambience. We had burritos, nachos, quesadilla and churros. All of them were good.

Best ever Mexican food in town!!! The place is so beautiful and the food leaves no stone unturned . The place has a brilliant vibe to it . The menu is all Mexican and serves a wide range of dishes . The guacamole here is a must try. I personally recommend the same !! This place will make you fall head over heels in love with the cuisine. The exquisite and elaborate menu is worth every penny. Though it is a tad bit expensive for the portion sizes , I think it's worth it.

A nice place for a weekend lunch. We had rainbow punch (without extra sugar and ice) and coaching tiger. Both were great. Foot starters we had Fiesta nachos which was good Charred broccoli crispy tacos n it was great. Backed potatoes with chicken n cheese. We felt the chip was dry chewy and soggy, don't like it much. For main course we had Mushroom Quesadillas, it had right amount of filling in it. The not so great part of dining was that they don't accept the bill payment from Dineout (which they inform you in the end) Service charge is 10% which I felt a lil more for the price they charge. Special mention to Sushanth who helped us choose the right dish.

Loved the ambience and food here. A bit rushed up during the weekends, so try to pre-book a table and go. Also, the prices are on a bit of expensive side. But it’s a must try if you love mexican food. We tried Chicken House Taco Salad, Sanchez Fiesta Nachos, Habanero boness chicken and Churros and didn’t regret anything.

There is no a single thing I’d want different at this place. The food is fresh and very tasty. Tacos and guacamole variations made over the counter was definitely a new experience for someone who’s never been to Mexico but loves the food. There was a live music that day and the staff is super courteous. Definitely one of the best places in Bangalore for food and drinks! Recommended: Avocado toast, Live Taco Counter, Wet Burrito

A wow place for Mexican food. Very cool ambience, greatly decorated. Very close to 100 feet main road. We ordered guacamole with chips, guacamole roast, soup, burrito and fajitas. All veg. The soup initially tasted different, but after couple of spoons, it tasted awesome. Just loved it. The guacamole roast was too good. The service is friendly and happy. Cost is on the higher side, but I guess Indiranagar demands that 🙂.

One of the best places in town to have Mexican food. Rare place that serves Mexican food better than Chinita. Loved the guacamole here so smooth, brilliant texture & taste. The Fajita was one of the best you get in Bangalore. The ambience is pretty casual. You have bother outdoor & indoor seating with both high & low chairs. The wait time for food can be a tad long but the wait is completely worth it!

This place was on my bucket list for quite a long time and finally I got a chance to visit it. The place is known for one of the best Mexican fare in the town and I wasn’t disappointed at all. The ambiance of the place is dim lit and I really enjoyed it with great service. They had taken good safety precautions as well with mandatory temperature checks & sanitizer at the entrance. I started with a passion fruit Margarita. It was quite refreshing and went very well with some feisty nachos. The nachos were very well loaded with refried beans, guacamole, sour cream and veggies such as olives, jalapenos. Then we had some hard yellow corn tacos (crumbled queso fresco & barbecued mushrooms). This one also tasted pretty good. But the one thing which I loved the most was Cottage Cheese Fajitas. The veggies were sauted so perfectly and presented as a sizzler along with rice, refried beans, sour cream, salsa, cheese as accompaniments and some flour tortillas. To finish our meal, we had their Tres Leches. It was so soft and melted straight in the mouth. The portion sizes are slightly less compared to the prices but the taste and ambiance makes it worth visiting the place.

We happened to visit Sanchez by chance. We entered not knowing anything about the restaurant or their food. But it was a pleasant surprise. I would highly recommend the cottage cheese veg hard tacos and mocha fudge dessert. They were delicious. Ambience is pleasant and service was very prompt.

Great Mexican food and there are a lot of varieties too

Nice ambience, very courteous staffs, great food & desserts. I had a real good time with my pals here. Must Visit!

Having been to chinita previously, was quite excited to try out another Mexican place which has been on my wishlist forever. These are my impressions.

Ambience is very good, comfortable and spacious seating along with artwork on the wall give it an authentic feel.

Coming to the food, we ordered the veg quesadillas and the chipotle broccoli soft tacos. The quesadillas were delicious and tasted like nothing I have had before. The soft tacos were absolutely stuffed with loads of veggies and beans. Definitely one of the best tacos I have had in Bangalore. The accompaniments too, were outstanding, be it the refried beans or Pico De gallo which helped tie the whole dish together.

Prices are definitely on the steeper side and portions are not too generous. That being said , I do recommend a visit to taste what might to be the most authentic Mexican food you can get in Bangalore.

Taste - 4.5/5
VFM - 4/5

PS - With regards to the covid situation, I must commend the staff for doing a good job with regards to temperature checks and also providing sanitisers at the entrance and also at the table and to maintain social distancing between customer seating arrangements to ensure that we had a stress free meal.

The dinning experience was not upto the mark. I will get to that later, let me start with the food review first!

The chipotle chicken Taqueria(taco) is my favorite and as always it was DELICIOUS. The juicy meat just melts into mouth while the hard yellow corn nacho breaks so perfectly into your mouth. Yum.
The habanero chicken is not for the weak hearts !! It sure is delicious but It’s super super spicy, so don’t go for it unless u can handle good amount of spiciness.
I tried the chicken enchiladas and I wasn’t impressed at all. It did not have any flavor at all, pretty much bland. So that was a bit disappointing.
Last but not the least, I ended the supper with tres leches. Obviously. Mindblowing as always :)

Now coming to the dinning experience, It was bad because they did not pay attention to any of the safety guidelines a restaurant should.
Nobody offered us a sanitizer or disinfected us with the spray either. Only the temperature was checked which doesn’t complete job, given the situation we are at.
Might I add, Sanchez is the first restaurant I dined in ever since the pandemic which is almost after 5 months so it was really disappointing to me.

I won’t be personally suggesting anyone to dine there.
Kumar Nachiket
Place for very authentic mexican food, this place is all set to blow away your mind with their classy food, the courteous staff and their sexy ambience. i loved the decor and how they made it so authentic. you would love the mexican theme and the mexican food

Tex-Mex remains my new go-to favourite cuisine, and obviously I scoured the city for the same. Sanchez is relatively new to the scene, and smack dab in the centre of 12th Main, Indiranagar.

I found the ambience very inviting, small yet cosy.
Service is polite, if a little slow.

I was pleased with their quesadillas even if they weren't the best I've had. The flavour was good, quantity-wise satisfactory as well.

In a Bangalore-esque fashion, the bill would be affordable, although I am unsure if I'll ever return for seconds.

This is a great place to visit if you are looking for authentic Mexican food. A little bit on the expensive side, but I guess it's okay to indulge once in a while. Tried the avocado toast (must try) and nachos for appetizers. For the main course we ordered Fajitas. We got an array of veggies, guacamole, salsa and tortillas to build our own fajitas! This was fun and tasty. Portion sizes were alright but once again a little too expensive to make it a regular place to visit.

When the connoisseur in us decides to give the Indianised, albeit very popular version of Mexican a rest, Sanchez is a no-brainer!
Those home made, perfectly crisp tortilla chips, the mild yet flavoursome guacamole and salsa, and the tender and juicy meat in those addictive quesadillas make our scales tip slowly towards this authentic version of Mexican.

And then comes the signature tres leches, where textures of sweet milk sing to your palate, as does the airy soaked sponge. 😍 And the scales tip some more, and more and more...
.
Rating- 4.7/5
Sanchez Fiesta Nachos- ₹345
Chicken Quesadillas- ₹356
Tres Leches- ₹245

What not to like about this place! The first place that comes to my mind when I need soulful Mexican cuisine. Ambience on point and love the food here.
Must try :
*Guacamole with Nachos
*Avacado Toast
*Prawn Tacos

Don't forget to try their Tres Leches which is just out of this world. Every dish is a masterpiece in itself.

The worst service I have ever seen...the waiter who was attending us had the worst attitude ever...,his tone was very demeaning...,we had ordered a sandwich which had chorizo in it.... he was explaining that chorizo has pork as if we were two illiterates sitting...we were not mad that he was explaining that chorizo had pork, it was just the manner and tone in which he did it...and on top of that the service was extremely slow on a Sunday afternoon..

Have been wanting to visit ever since it opened up In Indiranagar and finally got to go there on a date :). Loved the ambience and live music, just make sure you specify where you would like to sit when you make a reservation. The food was amazing. We had nachos and lamb chimichangas which were yummy and the churros were made to perfection. It can get fairly crowded as the place is slightly small so making a reservation is always a good option. I'm an avacado fan so I loved their avacado margarita...a concoction I haven't seen anywhere else.
The service was excellent and the restrooms are extremely clean(very important!).
I would definitely go back to hangout with girls or a group of friends :)

I ordered two items off the menu. The chicken burrito bowl and the pan Quesadilla. Both did not live up to the expectations!
Both were extremely bland and not served hot. For the pricing of the dishes, i would've expected it to have tasted way better!
Way too overpriced for the food that's being served!

Ambience 🛋🖼
A very cheerful ambience, lots of colour and live music.

What’s up for grabs 🍽🥢
Mexican food was not always my favourite cuisine but this restaurant had me turning the tables.
- Arbor char grilled king prawn with crispy hard yellow corn tacos. It had a generous amount of prawns and the taste was impeccable.
- Chicken Chilli Corn Carne Nachos. Even though it was loaded Nachos, the tortilla chips didn’t go soggy. It was accompanied by Guacamole and sour cream.
- Corn Bean Jalapeño Quesadillas. 🌱
- Chicken Enchilada. There were lot of onions in them, but I managed to eat around it.

Service 🤵🏻🍾
Since the restaurant was compact, the waiters were always attentive and we had a quick service.

good Mexican food with a vibrant ambiance and drinks. we were a group of 3 and we had a lot food, I was not sure if they make their own nachos or it is bought outside was not a big fan and the dipping and the topping were not sufficient, the enchiladas and the Fajitas were really delicious. The drinks were pricey but good. Highly recommend.
Food4eachother
One of those very few restaurants which serves delicious and aesthically appealing menu - from drinks, main course to dessert everything is worth trying!!🤤🤤

Went here for lunch last week and truly enjoyed our meal. The ambience was really nice!
The chips and salsa were great. The classic margarita and avocado margarita were really good too. The loaded potato skins were delicious. The spinach tacos were perfectly soft and the filling tasted great too. The fajitas were really nice but they gave us flour tortillas and when we asked for corn tortillas they charged us extra....the corn tortillas were really good though. I wish they gave an option between one or flour tortillas.
But we enjoyed the meal and cherry on top was the churros. Never have I ever had stuffed churros....these were definitely the best churros I’ve had in Bangalore. Not too oily not to sweet but just right. Would definitely recommend this place and would love to go back and try their blue or purple tacos!
Deekshith Kalimada
The homemade cake is one of the best desert available in town. It is on the pricy side but it's all worth it. The waiters are really friendly and make you feel at home. Really good for a date with your mate or just to hang out with your buddies. Would recommend this place to everyone.

Visited Sanchez many times with my friends. They have awesome Mexican food....one of the best in bangalore

Few dishes I love there are fiesta nachos both veg and non veg...I’m a hard core non vegetarian but love the veg nachos more... portion of sour cream, guacamole is all generous and lots of toppings

Also love the ajillo chipotle chicken, habanero chicken perfect for spicy food lovers like me. Habanero cottage cheese taco also is very nice

Desserts you must try tres leches- 3 milk cake which is too good. Churros are also nice. Service is excellent. Little high on price but quality they give is worth it
Sudhir Shetty
Superb Hard tacos with chipotle chicken

The fajita and burrito require you to do a lot of work in making the dish. But its totally worth it.

The saint margarita were good in passion fruit and mango, the tamarind not so much. Although all had too much salt.

Overall excellent place, slightly pricey and nice ambience.
Sumanth Kamath
Was very disappointed with this place. I don't mind that these places are expensive, but you cannot leave a restaurant still feeling hungry after dinner. The portions are ridiculous. The waiter should have had the decency to suggest or at least tell us that we need to order more. It's not like the service is fast, they took 25 min to serve food leaving ordering more food not an option.
The taste of the food was decent though. And the desert platter was very good. But am not going back unless they change their minuscule portions. It's just not worth it.
Amrita Baruah
Amazing place for Mexican cuisine.Tacos look very appetizing and fish taco/catch up of the day was really good.I would recommend and they were just perfect.Go for crispy Tacos.
Zoomsthru
A one-line summary would be: The food is fantastic, but is very much on the pricey side.
The longer version:
My group tried one of their nachos, enchiladas, tacos and two varieties of quesadillas and chimichangas. Everything was delicious! The quality of their tortillas, guacamole and salsas, and the proportion of all ingredients are definitely well-thought-out. The presentation is also excellent.

We tried out their tres leches and churros for desert. Once again, these were superb! The churros had just the right amount of cream-filling, sweet and crunchiness, and the tres leches is one of the best I've ever had.

There is also a nice vibe to the place, and the music is not so loud that you cannot have a conversation - a big plus for someone like me. And the staff were also very attentive and professional.

The slight surprise though was that we needed to order more than we had anticipated as the portion sizes were smaller than expected. So if you've built up an appetite, be prepared to pay up to ₹1,000 per person without alcohol.

All in all though, my experience was very much a positive one. The food and dessert are top-notch, and the ambience and service are also excellent. If you're OK with the price, Sanchez is definitely a place to eat at.

A really nice dining experience. We started off with a Tortilla soup - a tomato based soup served with crunchy tortilla pieces, sour cream, avacado and chilly paste. Very flavourful. Followed this with a house taco chicken salad, hard shell taco with grilled prawns stuffing and quesadillas stuffed with chicken. We were served by Sanjay who helped us navigate the menu and provided excellent service. Our total cost including service charge for 2 people was just under 1500/- without alcohol.
Well worth a visit for great flavourful food, relaxed ambience and excellent service.
Kritika Kaushal
Excellent food. Authentic and apt quantity. Slightly more expensive than other Mexican places around but much better in taste and worth the money spent. The ambience is decent, the staff is friendly. They have live food prep sets too. Must try the tacos, chorizo potato jacket and the spicy signature cocktail. The prawn tacos are fresh and incredible.

I've been going through this horrid jinx of eating at bad places. After Sanchez its finally over! Absolutely loved everything about my dinner here.

The Michelada- a mix of spices and beer; and the Whisky Sour were delicious. With that we had what I think the best nachos I've eaten till date. SO SO good. The avocado toast with beets was a little alright comparitively.

Also please a special mention goes to the churros! Splendid. Ive been eating the wrong churros all my life! They were beyond crispy, gooey and chocolaty than I could ever imagine. The staff and ambience with all the beautiful lights made the dinner an overall amazing experience.
Prathiba Maller
The food cuisine was entirely mexician. Tacos, buritos, rice of mexican flavours, and the other dishes we had was appetizing. Dessert was super but I forgot the name of the dish!
Vibha Vasuki
We visited on a Saturday afternoon and the place was moderately full. Despite this, there were only three waiters on the floor and none of them seemed to care. The only thing that came quickly was the cheque.
That said, the food tasted good. The chips and dip were the highlight. The baked potato skin and wet burrito were ordinary. We didn’t think the quantity justified the pricing at all.
Rohan
Ok so I can give the food a 3.5 stars as it was tasty. However the portion sizes were too small for the price. Just to give you an example - they charge 200 for the guacamole & 100 for the cheese dip but they provide such small portions of chip basket that you end up ordering at least 2-3 baskets of chips (not free but 100 for every round of a very small chips basket). Also if you order say for example Fajita for main course they serve 4 tortillas but the condiments they serve is not enough even for 2 proper tortillas. We did not ask for additional condiments bcoz they will charge for everything.
Guys you better improve your portion sizes or lower the prices if you want to stay in the game or else the customers will find another alternative. Good food but not enough for the price!!!! Also on Zomato it says the average price for two is 800 excluding drinks.....but even for vegetarians & teatottalers like me it would still work up to 1400 for two!!!!
Extremely disappointed with the portion sizes for the price!!!
Ashutosh Vikram
We ordered Churos was not so up to the mark!
Also very expensive, for that cost expected a better quality,
Decent ambience, live music was good too
The_foodgrammer
The Tlalpeño Broth here was what I would call soul food! The broth was so flavourful and the add ons on the side gives one a lot of freedom to choose what they wish to add what one doesn’t wish to!
So I went crazy on the lime and coriander leaves, I absolutely loved it!
One must definitely try this here!

Just wow!

Like everything about this place was wow.

I am a big texmex fan and have tried it at the best places in India. This was definitely one of the good places.

Very good menu and even better food. Tastes just right. Not too indianiased nor too authentic.

I had the veg enchiladas, the guacamole on table and avocado cocktail, and churros All great.

Highly recommend the guacamole on table. It's delicious.

Can't wait to go back and try everything else (their menu is huge!)

Service was very very good. Special mention to the staff to take our order on phone since we were getting late and they were closing and this was only way they could accommodate us.

They also had nice live music when we were there who was great and continued playing even when only the two of us were left.

My FAVS score -

Food: 5/5
Ambience: 5/5
Value for money: 4.5/5 (if they had some promotion like Zomato Gold this would be awesome).
Service: 5/5

Kudos!!

My kid & I visited for an early lunch. Ordered some chips, chocolate mole chicken garnachas, fajitas and flan for dessert. The food was absolutely great! The atmosphere was quite relaxed and service was friendly & quick (though that may have had something to do with the early hour!). The food is expensive but well worth it! Had a great time, sure to go back for more :)

I Go to sanchez very often. Ambience, service and especially food are quite good...prices too are reasonable for this kinda of places. Managers make it sure that customers dont have to wait long for their orders. One of them is Mr Rahul Sarkar, who is too kool with customers as well as with the staff. This one is, one of the best Bar n restaurants in Indiranagar, and even in bangalore. Highly recomend it

Had really good Mexican food. Love their tacos and the chicken. Def try their nachos!! Super good!!! Amazing ambience, very prettyyy!!! Fun place to hang.

Had been craving for some Mexican food from a really long time. So we we headed to Sanchez, a small place in indranagar where they serve authentic Mexican food. Everything which has guacamole is worth a try. The churros are worth dying for. service was very nice see you again soon....

Two words - Too Expensive.
Oh man. What a waste of money. ₹2500 and 3 dishes later, we were left hungry.
Wet Burrito ( as bad as it sounds)
Chips and Salsa ( legit 8 chips on the plate)
Guacamole - paid ₹200 for it. Can you imagine
Mushroom Tacos - don't order please. Save your money for other things in life

Additionally don't even get me started on the portion size.
Not worth it. Chinita in kormangala is wayyyy better

The place is underrated. The quality and taste of food is exceptionally good. We ordered chimichanga, soup , avacardo toast , fajitas and nachos. And we liked everything! I am definitely visiting this place again.
Ana K
Love this place for a nice weekend dinner treat. The ambience is like that of a restropub and service is prompt and proffessional. I had some of the best mexican food ever here. We had the shrimp taco salad, Chicken chimichangas and a chicken quesadilla. All 3 dishes were delicious and had no faults. Pricing is as expected and not very expensive. Definitely recommend for all mexican food lovers to try.
Jenisha Shah
The rumours about the place being a tad bit expensive for the portions served are all shut when you eat the food here ! Undoubtedly one of the best places for Mexican and Tex mex ! A must visit for every taco lover ever 🌮🌮🌯

Recently visited this restaurant. As the speciality of the restaurant is mexican, the restaurant has a decent vibe to it with the staff also dressed inspired by Mexican clothing. The food tasted really nice. Enchiladas, avocado toast, live nachos and the quaesdilla tasted nice. Overall portion of the dish was a bit less which was the only thing that can be improved upon. If you are looking for only taste and craving for Mexican, then this place is good to try. The staff is courteous and the service is reallt fast. Overall,a good dining experience

Sanchez is an excellent fine dining Mexican restaurant in Indiranagar. My wife and I have been here twice, and both times were terrific.

You can tell the proprietor put a lot of love in to Sanchez - the menu is well curated, with personal anecdotes from the owner’s travels around Mexico, to the colorful decor and wall art.
And Sanche’z food is excellent and creative. For example their tacos come in a variety of bases, such as beetroot. And their food is well plated and colorful.
It really is a great place for a meal and a cocktail.
Lastly, the staff is professional, friendly, and attentive.
Sanchez will continue be a regular place for me in Indiranagar. I wish them the best.

I went to this place for a team dinner on Thursday evening. Though the place was happening with fancy decor, charming music, and a good setup. You can strike a conversation while trying your hands on good Mexican food.

We liked the food in the starting but things started coming, we started realizing it is all about chips. They had chips in everything from starters to desserts. Their salsas and sauces were great but we had an overdose of chips in everything. Also, few dished were too spicey to have.

Overall, it was an okayish experience. Service was average with high prices.

Food - 3.5 star
Service - 3.5 star
Price - 3 star
Ambience - 3.5 star

It was a decent place. Its certainly not 800 for two😄 after spending around 1500 for both, we were still hungry and had to go someplace else. Outside seating and smoking room available. Courteous staff. Food was just alright. The portions are too small and ridiculously priced. Presentation is great. Chips and salsa was awesome. Really good chips. The tamale and enchiladas and tres leches were just alright. If the price was less I could have appreciated the food better.

Small and sweet place to hangout with a group of friends or that special one. The food is good but the best part is the desserts and Trez Leches definitely deserves a special mention. It is one of the finest non Choclate based dessert one will ever have.

Going to Sanchez was an accident (coz my other plan failed) but I came out completely satisfied and happy.
.
.
What’s on the plate? Sanchez fiesta nachos (veg) - corn tortilla chips with fresh sauce , guacamole , olives, jalapeños and sour cream.
.
.
Price - ₹345 (it’s costly but completely worth it! )
.
.
Service - prompt
.
.
Ambience - bright and colourful
One of the best Mexican menus I could expect in B-Town. The blue maize tacos were as photogenic as tasty. I found the guacomole live counter overrated - the portions were too small and I am not a Mole fan. Tried out quite a few things on the menu - the good old nachos with chicken and cheese were sinfully the best. Pricey place, though!

really? i saw all these great reviews and went here and i will say it was ok, not worth the 4 stars i see.. i beginning to doubt the reviews i see offlate as most dont match reality.
ordered long isalnds and it was diluted with water and ice.. it was served in a wine glass- WHO SERVES LONG ISLAND IN SUCH A SMALL GLASS??? then i later asked them to make it strong and they added coke!! really... who adds coke .. service was slow.. we had to wait for people to hear us out and they seemed lost in their own world.. place is kind of small.. food is good. but very pricey.. portions are small.. overtly priced.. i wouldnt go here ,. nothing to fanyc here.. good for a one time but really i am not craving to go back

2 starts because they spoilt my friday by diluting my drinks..! or i would give it a 3

I'm giving a 3 only for the exceptional tacos. Cheese melt Nachos was more beans than nachos. Chocolate nachos were bad quite with just cream and chocolate sauce too sweet. The main course with some chicken steak was ok. Soup was good. Correct me if I'm wrong here. I always thought after paying gst, The service charge is absolutely optional. When asked to wave it off , they said its mandatory. I dont know for what joy. Have you given exceptional service ? No you haven't. Exceptional food , no the quantity was way too less for a dish charged above 400 bucks. No . Not happening.
Had terrible nachos and Quesadillas there. Some of the worst Mexican food I've ever had. Everything seemed pre-made and assembled hastily. Wouldn't recommend it.

I didn't plan it. Just walked into this wonderful outlet serving authentic Mexican food. Amazing Ambiance. I had ordered for Alambres Cottage Cheese, Fiesta Nachos, Guachamole side and dulce de leche ice cream taco. The food was delicious. Lovely everything which was ordered. The desert was pretty inventive to be served like a taco, but it was a spunge bread. Can i get the name of the bread used in it?

A nice place on a Friday evening in the heart of 12th main. Fancy decor, no loud music and very airy inside sets up for a great conversation and some good food.

It went right from the start. I tried the chicken Chipotle and some habenaro paneer. I kept debating if it really tasted like Mexican food or just tasted like good Indian food but maybe the closeness of two cuisines makes that line a bit blurry anyway.

The mains was of perfect quantity. The chicken was soft and juicy. We ended with a cake soaked in condensed milk that tasted like a Bengali desert to me.

In all a special shout out to Rinku who kept helping us on an otherwise exhaustive menu. Very well behaved staff, worthy of a 5* experience.

Went there about a month ago and ordered the Chipotle Chicken Baked Potato Skins and Serrano Chicken Torta. The Potato skins were alright, but the Serrano Chicken Torta sandwich fell really flat. The description said that it has a refined bean paste and guacamole which seemed exciting, but the sandwich barely had any of those. The sandwich was too dry and tasteless. We approached the server and told him about this and he suggested to bring the two fillings separately in a bowl, and we agreed. Somehow, even with the dips it did not appeal to us. We left the sandwich and politely asked the waiter for the bill. No hard feelings. Seeing that we did not have a pleasant experience, the staff gave us a complimentary Tres Leches dessert, which was SO GOOD that we ordered another one for ourselves again. We went there day before after dinner just to have the Tres Leches dessert, its really that good.

It should have been a nice experience. Ended up being quite average.

Between the two (Sanchez & Sriracha) in Indiranagar, I decided to go to the former as I’ve dined at Sriracha in UB City before. The place looks quite funky and is large, with wall paintings like you might have seen in films of Mexico. So the standards are set quite high, even when you read the well printed menu, which can be intimidating to first timers to this cuisine.

I started with a bowl of Sanchez Fiesta Nachos. While the dips and beans were good, and the nachos themselves were quite well made (thin & crispy), the quantity of the chips was way too less. I asked for some more chips to finish the dip, and was charged about 200Rs for a small bowl. What’s the point of giving so much dip then, and calling it Fiesta Nachos? Fiesta for one picky eater only maybe.

Oaxacan style tortilla soup followed next. The aroma was quite good, but it didn’t have much Tortilla in it. And it had more salt than you’d care for. Had the Zucchini & Corn Chimichanga, this was pretty decent. I really liked the mock tail I had too, it was a tamarind flavoured one called Saint Margharita.

Since I was getting full, I asked the waiter if the chef could make a plain cheese quesadilla (the one on the menu had beans etc). The waiter didn’t seem to understand, so after explaining for like the 10th time, he said he would get one (cheese quesadilla) from the kids menu, as it was not on the adult one. Ok, it was served with some fries on the side. But no sauce. When I asked if they had a spicy sauce to go with the Quesadilla, the wait staff again looked confused and eventually replied that they had a Tomato sauce. Wait, what??!! A Mexican restaurant that doesn’t have spicy sauces?? And speaking of spice, one would expect a fair amount in a place like this. But NONE of the stuff I ordered was spicy, or even had a hint of it. To be honest, I’ve had better Mexican vegetarian (yes!) food in Paris. And god knows most Europeans can’t handle spice and strong flavours. The Churros added a good finishing touch to an otherwise average meal.

Quantity disappoints here. So does the service, when it comes to knowing about food. The prices keep in tone with the neighborhood, but as mentioned before, not worth the quantity served. I mean this place couldn’t even just offer a small bowl of chips, to help finish off a meal that was not served with enough chips in the first place.

Maybe the spices and flavours are reserved for meat dishes. Otherwise, to me, the Zomato rating is a bit hard to explain.

The place is small and has the vibrant ambience. The food was good. Chicken smoked Chipotle is a must try. A place to visit if you love Mexican food.

Not your regular Taco Bell or California Burrito, Sanchez serves authentic Mexican / Oaxacan cuisine. Have visited the place twice, first time being the birthday lunch for the better half. Great selection, vibrant ambiance and courteous service. Loved their avocado toast, tamales. Do pay a visit.

Never dissapoints, lovely food, lovely ambience good service speed. I discovered my love for Mexican food here
Nachos are a must try ! And the saint margarita mocktail- tamarind flavour is one of the best mocktails I have ever had
Super delicious

I can never appreciate a Mexican restaurant that doesn't get its salsa right. Sanchez's salsa tastes like someone mixed thick ketchup with chili powder. It's really bad. And having to pay to eat it was a bigger tragedy.

The house recipe avocado toast was divine. I really enjoyed it. So were the vegetarian chimichangas.

The garnachas were alright but the salsa topping on it kind of ruined it for me.

Dessert was an absolute hit , especially the tres leche. Though I'd recommend you save quite a bit of space in your tummy for it because it is super rich. Churros are alright.

Sanchez needs to work on their service. Even though we were the only people at the restaurant, it was such an effort to get their attention for our orders.

I went to this place on my search for authentic Tex Mex in India. And it didn't dissapoint. The colourful ambience was inline to the Mexican experience. Overall the menu touched almost all well known Mexican dishes including choclate mole. Although Mexican cusine is predominantly meat, as a vegetarian ,there was only one veg option for each dish. We ordered the tortilla soup and chimichanga which were good. For mains the enchilada was a bit too sour and bland. The green mole was tasty but it only included one tortilla. The desserts were the best part as they were truly Mexican. We ordered the ice cream taco which was tres leches ice cream wrapped in bread and came in 4 pcs. Although the bread had a strange texture the ice cream was amazing! We also got churros with 4 different fillings, the best of them being the cajete.Overall this is a must visit place for Mexican food lovers as it delivers on nostalgia a bit more than it does on flavour.

Absolutely my favorite for Mexican food. The ambience, the live music, food and cocktails - one just can’t complain about anything! Keep it up, guys. Your service is a cherry on the cake.
For food lovers, while quesadilla, tacos, burritos are a must try in Mexican - the place also serves good enchiladas. The potato skin dishes are also very good. 🙃

Mucho Mucho Bueno Bueno

Lively Mexican restaurant over on 12th main Indiranagar serves up a mix of mexican classics like blue corn tacos and tamales and texan hard shell tacos and nachos.

The restaurant is well lit with soft yellow filament LEDs, and the staff is courteous and unabashedly truthful - our waiter suggested that we reconsider the El Suerte as Fresh Lime and Beer is not to everyone's taste.

The must haves here are the Quesadilla, Chili Con Carne with Nachos, and the Blue Cord Tacos, and save space for the Tres Leches. The Tres Leches is truly divine, with wonderfully soaked vanila sponge, cream frosting and sweetened evaporated milk to pour over.

We didn't quite enjoy the Tortas, as the bread was dense and the chorizo quite dry, like jerkey.

But overall, a great experience with a decadent dessert to end.

Had gone there last Wednesday for an office team lunch..my first full blown Mexican meal..
Staff were very polite and courteous..
The decor and ambiance is very pretty with colorful chairs and loved the tiles used on the floor..
Coming to the food - pork enchiladas were really good with soft shreds of meat and had a tomato sauce base..I thought it would be too tangy for me but it was very pleasant..
Absolutely loved the tenderloin torta..amazing..
The prawn tacos were killer..
The lamb fajita was good too..
All in all, had a lot of food and was happy with each dish..

head to sanchez for some authentic Mexican food in Bangalore. Yes it is a bit overpriced but worth every bite.
I tried the nachos, smokey pulled chicken in blue corn tacos, the famous ice cream taco.
Coming to drinks I had the mocktails- rainbow punch and saint margarita.
It was such a good hearty meal. The tacos were great but quantity of nachos was less though.
To end this delicious meal I had the ice cream taco and wow it was really mind blowing.
A must visit if you love Mexican food.

One of my favorite eateries around right now, Sanchez is a place I can go back to, again & again! The wide menu leaves you spoilt for choice, the ambience is great and the place is perfect for a Happy meal with friends or family. They make some mean cocktails and the Espresso Martini is a must-try if you like coffee flavors. I totally recommend their baked potato skins (I love the Chipotle Chicken one) and their Quesadillas. Of course, you can't miss the yummy churros for dessert! A must-visit place if you are in or around Indiranagar!!

Plus: The ambience, tasty food, clean and well presented. Fajitas were yummy, loaded potato skins were tasty but the portion was small
Minus: The assistance can improve, they left us unattended many times...

Lovely ambience with excellent food to delight your Mexican taste buds.

Must try their signature dessert "Tres leches".

Very welcoming and polite staff.

Nice ambiance. A varied and a lovely menu selection...which sadly, when executed into a dish doesn’t live up to what it potentially could have been!! There’s a bit of a heavy hand with chilli and everything is spicy. Including the guac and pico de gallo!

How I wish they had toned down the use of chilli powder (sigh!)

But the best part though - the service. Absolutely fantastic!! The potential 1 star for food became a 3 just on account of how fabulousI the service was.

My overall experience at this restaurant was nothing short of disappointing. The service was terrible, the staff were in a rush to take our order brought the food and literally dumped it on our table.
The food came and everything was stale and cold. We brought it up with the management and at first, they refused to take the food back to replace it with something actually cooked then. It seemed like they had taken their left overs and served it to us.
The manager was unprofessional, arguing and dint even try to understand what we found wrong with the food and service.
Towards the end, the manager even walked out of the restaurant in front of us not even apologising once for our terrible experience at the restaurant.
I would never come back here, I couldn’t point to a single thing which was above average.

Great place if you want to have a taste of Mexican. Their nachos and tacos are must tries. Place is small and there could be waiting involved, but once you get a table all that inconvenience is solved.

The restaurant is quite small but they seem to have a lot of serving staff which is quite rare in Bangalore. However, for some reason it was not easy to get their attention. I am not sure what they were doing but they seemed to be very busy. Also, inspite of having a child with us, we came to know much later that they have a separate children's menu. The children's menu is as unimaginative as any I have seen. They had like 4 items, out of which we got the cheese quesadilla which was just cheese in a tortilla. I understand that children don't eat spicy food, but they do like some flavor. My daughter just ate the French fries which acconpanied her dish.
Inspite of these points, I still give the restaurant 4 stars because the main menu is very unique and extensive. We tried two different tacos: one pork taco, and one charred corn and pineapple one, and we had the vegetarian enchilada. All these were great with lots of different ingredients and very flavorful. It's a decent restaurant, but they have to "up" their game as they have a lot of competition around them!!!
