Review Taiyuans Restaurant - Bengaluru

Serene ambiance, great service and excellent food. I suggest this place for second/third date, discussing business/ideas or catching up with an old friend for food. The food quantity and quality is worth the amount, pocket friendly. (Instagram friendly too 😉)

I am visiting this restaurant for several years now, I am not able to understand how they maintain the same taste every time... I strongly suggest this place for Authentic Thai & Chinese food

A very small place but the food was good, we tried some thai noodles and rice with some momos, all were good and the portions were huge to fill 4 adults! The staff were dull and sad for some reason, apart from that very good food!

Nice tasty food..machow soup, noodles, veg balls greavy with awesome taste ...shezvan fried rice quiet disappointed ...reasonable price.

Taiyvans is the greatest Chinese and thai hub restarunt .... In terms of taste .....Normally the indoor Chinese look is not up to the mark .... I recommend going .....and trying chicken sezewan fried rice....

I've been ordering food from here for more than a decade and very rarely am I disappointed. I ordered the chicken steamed rice yesterday (it was something I used to order often before I moved away from my parents home) and it was exactly how I remembered it. Light with lots of vegetables and chicken. It's one of my favourite things ever. You don't feel heavy at all. To balance things out, I decided to binge on the shredded threaded chicken which is as crunchy as anything you'll eat with a delightful sauce.
Apart from that, the usual order generally has the Hakka noodles which is great and vegetable balls in hot garlic sauce that my dad loves.
I've never ordered any seafood, because I don't like it. But almost everything else I've ordered (and I've tried lots of the stuff in the menu) has been yummy. Definitely recommend! I know I'm going to order again once before I leave. Keep up the good work! You'll always have one loyal fan.

Pathetic food.Ordered chicken kol te and prawns koithio both tasted same, with just cinnamon flavour. And noodles were over cooked.

Here's my review:
1. Food: 5/5
The best part about Taiyuan's was the quantity of food. They indeed give a quantity that will fill your stomach and just in case you are not able to eat the entire thing, the food doesn't get wasted but rather goes to the charity.
2. Price: 4/5
The price is okay but some food items are a little overpriced and the quantity is little less.
3. Ambience: 3/5
Not a very fancy place cause it has the traditional Chinese/ Taiwanese feels. The authentic dim light place which is very common in China.
4. Service: 4/5
The guy managing the place was serving really good. On time, no delays.
Thank you Taiyuan's for a warm dinning.

We ordered home delivery of Tom Yam, hot and sour chicken soups with fish fry and veg noodles. We are fond of Chinese cuisine and thought of trying out this restaurant. The food was delivered on time but tasted horrible, we had to throw out both the soups as those tasted very bad. Don’t think we will ever go back again,
Shreya
I ordered veg momos, it was really bad, it tasted like it was made of plastic. I had to throw all, waste of money. Zomato should do quality check.
Ajay C S
The best momos I've had so far through zomato. The quantity was very generous. 12 pieces in a plate and also sauce and vinegar quantity was really generous.

Will definitely check out other dishes from this restaurant.

This place is a hidden treasure in the bustling CBI main road ambience is okayish but you can surely order from this place when you have cravings for Oriental flavours . Their Chinese menu is top notch and as authentic as it should be which is nothing fancy and full of flavours. They are still trying to be authentic with their Thai and malay menu not getting there yet.
My personal favourites
Cantonese noodles which is a must try
Chinese chopswey is must try as well
Dragon roll a must try along with their signature sauce
Momos
Try ordering drums of heaven with a gravy
The abundance in the menu gives you a lot of options to explore so just go for it
Reshmi
Food was not bad.. but it was no where near authentic thai cooking.. THai fried rice noodle was just plain indian noodle.. wonton were good.. but didn't like the soup..
@nkita_whitnY
My favourite!! Been here innumerable times.Definitely a small place and you can easily miss out .So watch out for the sign but food taste awesome..all items in their menu are good with reasonable price. So if you wanna have good desi Chinese this is your destination

Really bad food.. the drums of heaven looks like batata vadas..lol.. taste also was not what drums of heaven was supposed to taste like. The phad Thai was more like Bambino rice used like noodles.. never going to order or here again.

Disgusting, ordered chicken with garlic curry and ther was only cornflowe no chicken. Never gonna order frm this place again. Very low grade food.
Asmina Firdose
Found this in the noodles. I'm highly unsatisfied with the food they served here.
Never want to order anything from here ever again. I'd want them to improvise their cooking habits or methods and cleanliness because at the end of the for those who prefer food from this place should not face this problem again.

Very Good food, I had 1- Manchow Soup, ( was spicy, I guess I should have told to reduce it a bit) Gaeng Kmieo Waan Goong - Tai Red Curry, Rice that was very Tasty I found the taste of Asia, and Nasi Goring Kow pat ( I took veg so they did not add the shrimp paste that is the main and that is the key ingredient in that, it was my mistake that I went for a Veg) Non Veg is good Nasi Goring, often I use to make it at my home :-)

Suprised to see the bill, I was so economy... Good Place, Neat, On Tuesday it was fewer people on the road and in the restaurant. I enjoyed the food and the bill too, Keep it UP!... I will visit this place again, will try some new stuff and let you know my feedback.
PS: It only cost me 360 bucks :-)

So Ibhave always seen this quaint restaurant and wanted to try, last night I decided to. Order from them through Swiggy. The quantity itself was quite less in comparison to other restaurants serving the same cuisine in the same area but I assumed taste would. Do better but failed on that front too. They also served me plain white rice when my order was triple schezwan fried rice.
Soumik Biswas
Food over here is amazing especially the the mix noodles...It's something one should try here...............I hope to visit this place again very soon.....
Shwetha Kamath
I ordered Chicken Jade Corn Soup, Taiyvan Special Chowmein and Chicken Foo Young.
Love the Soup.
Pocket friendly and they know how to cook.
If a restaurant cooks chowmein authentically, it deserves the huge number of customers.
Chinese food made best here
AE
So good for a decent price☺................Tastes so authentically yummy........,..............
You will know once you try ;-)......... Nice Chinese food

I never visited the place though I have seen on my way. Ordered food many times. Won't say food was great every times. All the dishes are above average. The quantity is great for the priceing. The spring rolls, leefoo rice, chicken munchurian, mixed chowmin are good. Don't order the momo ever. It's horrible. Best thing is there delivery time. It's really quick.
Tuhin
I too have got a peice of chicken in my vegetarian disk ...also the taste is not good at all....bad place..and bad hygiene and bad quality food. i dont recommend this place to anyone..
Ashutosh Jha
Most disgusting restaurant ever. I got a piece of chicken in my paneer manchurian, also the entire paneer manchurian was stinking of meat. the taste was horrible. worst place to ever order food from!!!!! i want to give this place a zero rating!!!!

It's a no non sense great food place, It's a small place hidden around the corner of CBI road. The taste and quantity is amazing. Their MOMOS and FOO YUNGS are heavenly. A must try and pricing is on the lighter side.

A very small place, little hard to locate it.
Parking is a challenge..
The food is real amazing , I have been visiting this place for about 5 years. Chinese and Thai cuisines are their speciality. Taste has been consistent over the years and priced average. Neat and clean cutlery. Worth visiting.
Tanima Mazumder
My husband and me were frequent visitors in this restaurant. Initially we used to stay in Yelahanka and while returning home we noticed this new restaurant few yrs back. As we love Chinese cuisine, we thought of trying out the food here and after that we could not stop ourselves from visiting this place over and over again. Now, we stay in the other part of Bangalore, but still on several occasions we do visit this restaurant and consistently find the taste and quality of the food cosnsistant and the price is very economic. I thought that the restaurant was closed, but now that I found it's open, I shall surely visit sometime soon.

Wanted to try out a new place n found this little place I'm rt nagar It's hard to spot, cos is a tiny little place on the first floor. Coming to the food, it's toooo good. N the quantity is a little too much so order cautiously or you'll have to pack the rest of it home!
Rahul Nayak
They make the most amazing hunan wonton soup. It's a must order whenever I wish to eat here.
Crispy Chilly vegetables are really good and they offer very good quantity. Momos are average here.
A must try when you want to have a decent food with a budget price. They are cheap for quantity they offer without compromise with qualify

Don't be fooled by the syntax or rather, the lack of it. Taiyvan is your place for a simple, economical Indian-Chinese fare. A no-frills place that has stood the test of time, literally - haven't expanded their size nor have they changed their quality.

I've been a visitor to this place for nearly a decade now and it used to be our regular haunt during college days.

We've tried most of their stuff and haven't really had anything to complain about. We would always begin with a plate of hot, steamed chicken momos, a favourite of all of us and a bottle of Maaza / Slice along with it.

My order on many occasions comprised the Regular fried rice and the Hunan Chicken. A friend of mine swears by their Triple Schezwan Rice and it's still a wonder how he always managed to polish off almost the whole thing, by himself.

Even the greenish Leefoo Chicken is quite a tasty item. In fact, that used to be my friend's favourite, in combo with the Triple Schezwan Rice.

VFM - There is definite VFM here. And portion sizes are good too.

Service - Good service. Typical of a small restaurant.

Verdict - For an economical, no-frills & tasty Chinese fare, this is a good bet.

My favourite Chinese Restaurant in Bangalore. After 6 years I had food from here they have maintained the food quality really well.
It's worth money 💵.
Rather than spending a lot in luxurious restaurant u get good Chinese food here for a lesser amount.
My favourite here Shezwen Chicken Fried rice 🍚.
Hunnan Chicken.
Try it out
Anoop Sinha
Nice place for Chinese food also near to home. Momos are very delicious here. We come frequently here whenever we carve for Chinese foods.Pawan Prasad
@foodiefrombeyond
Try out the Roast Chicken in Peking Sauce and Wontons....Pathetic Home Delivery service and their momos are never fully cooked and lack taste...Well that's the price you pay for cheap chinese taste buds

A saver when the times are tight! :D
Undoubtedly the place I would go to when my craving for Chinese food has to be satiated. The place is stuffy but the food compromises for it. Loved the vegetable balls in hot garlic sauce and the Malaysian flat noodle. Fried rice was not upto the expectation though. Chopsuey was satisfactory.
Sourav Jana
Most economic chinese restaurant in the area. Decent quality and taste for the price. Good quantity. Badly ventilated. And thankfully the rude manager is finally gone ;)
Kishlay Nandan
Place is too small, real thai food available, springroll is good, soups are okay okay, worst experience of chicken drumstick.
Feroz Khan
Had a very bad experience when they served me bowl full of stale chicken noodles. And on top of that , it was served by the rude manager who is an arrogant brute. But otherwise food when served fresh is good in taste and the quantity is good too. Price is quite reasonable. Other restaurants should learn from them when it comes to pricing. And honestly, they should teach this arrogant brute of a manager a lesson in hospitality. I think he is half educated ...and an empty vessel ..and empty vessel makes lot of noise. For the restaurants good business the manger should be changed with immediate effect.
Vivant Rohit Ranjan
worth every penny . the soup is nice , flavorsome and spicy . fried rice was good .

Good food for the price u pay. Don't order the chinese chicken fry full or half its not good.
Recommended for non veg are chicken lollipop masala type. All prawn semi gravy. Chicken denmain noodles.
As said the manger or person who takes the order is a rude crack man.
Deepak Jose
Taiyvan is a small Thai cum Chinese cuisine restaurant on CBI road. The best part about it is the quantity of food and the affordable price. The food is tasty . however the guy who looks after is a rude soul. do not expect much customer service except for a guy named raju who always serves u with a smile.
Anushree Tricannad Jnanashekar
Extremely goood food.
Best part is the quantity for an awesome price.
Been going there for more than 8 years now.
They have definitely maintained their standards.
Please eat the Thai Fried Prawns. It is crispy and spicy. Also try out the Hunan Chicken.
I loveeeee their Schezwan Rice and Hakka Noodles.
Also their Malaysian flat noodles tastes amazing.
