Review Lipi - Bengaluru

Sreevani Jarugula
Lipi is an experience and I am glad I got to taste their menu twice. Every dish is unique and tasty. I especially loved their chettinadu tomato and desserts. With every bite, I could sense that they use fresh ingredients. The staff is very friendly and I learnt a lot of interesting things about their menu. The coffee is freshly brewed and makes the overall experience enjoyable and craving for more. I would love to visit Lipi again with my friends and family.

We had been to this new restaurant Lipi in Indiranagar last week. I was little hesitant to try this place for the price but I am glad I did it. The place is very hygienic and the chefs prepare dishes right in front of you. All the dishes are prepared using farm fresh Indian ingredients and taste very good, especially the chettinadu tomato, how I met my curry and colostrum dessert stand out. For sure, you wouldn’t get to eat these signature dishes anywhere else in Bangalore. Overall, I highly recommend Lipi for all those who would like to try unique Indian dishes.

The fact that I'm writing this review immediately after finishing my dinner says it all!! Being a vegetarian, finding a creative vegetarian cuisine is slightly difficult and that too in a chef's table like concept is simply amazing. Everything was great about this passionate team of young entrepreneurs who have put good effort in not just the food, presentation but even to finer nuances of decor, cutlery, hospitality. We opted for juice pairing along with veg and non veg menu and we loved it. Overall had an great experience. It's not too expensive considering you getting around 10 courses very tastefully designed and presented in a cute cosy set up. Definitely worth a visit.

Unlike a typical restaurant, Lipi promises an extraordinary dining experience! They have a unique menu with signature dishes created by the chefs using Indian ingredients as base. The cutlery used, lively music, plating and presentation of every dish are quite impressive! I must say I tasted the best of Indian cuisine at Lipi. The staff are polite, service was great and it was a sweet gesture to give us a little takeaway gift along with a hand-written thank you note Overall I would definitely recommend this place for any food-lover looking for a unique dining experience in Bangalore! Total value for money! I would love to visit again

Their unique concept of ‘mindful eating’ is lovely. The ambience, food and presentation was excellent! Do go there if you like to try new food experiences. :)

I adore food and the sentiment I associate with food is something deep set and ages old. It's nostalgia and a dive into old memories of eating sambar rice on a rainy day and trying out a fancy new recipe mum came up with. I've never liked fine dining, mainly because I thought it was a waste of money. Ladies and Gentlemen, prepare to have your minds blown.

Lipi changed that. Lipi took all the above and customised my experience in such a way that I'm now officially converted. And I'm not an easy person to please. Madhu and Sudha was so polite and friendly whilst also staying extremely professional. Every single element of their restaurant held a backstory and a personal anecdote. Varun with his understanding of intricate flavours managed to play around with our tastebuds and Surjeeth ensuring that everything was plated beautifully and served on time.

The Tomato course and 'Kari' (a beautiful mushroom and peas course) were my favourite. They added these cute little elements with stoppered bottled with this tomato broth (there's a surprise element hidden at the bottom of that little bottle of joy) and little personalised letters with a jar of all things beautiful and wholesome to take back home in case you missed them too much. I wasn't eating meat that night but from the reviews around the table, their meat dishes were phenomenonal. I'm heading there again this week to try out their new menu. They also brew their own beverages and every course comes with an accompanied brew that pairs perfectly with your dish.

Lipi was brilliant and the experience they provide you is WAAAY more than what you pay for especially considering the fact that they're trying to actually help local farmers and bring about more awareness of forgotten local cuisine to the fine dining culture in Bangalore. Every bangalorean should go here at least once.

This is place is one of a kind, serving a tasting menu which changes seasonally, they focus on providing an out worldly experience when it comes to tasting the local cuisine of the region. With emphasis on procuring and processing the freshest of produce grown on their own farm.
Knowing the entrepreneurs behind this project it's very evident how their passion for food has influenced every bit of the dining experience from the Decor to the Ambience to Cutlery and Crockery being handpicked for the complete delivery of this mind blowing experience. And to crown it all of, the mind blowing food served here .. !!
I didn't know how three hours went by as I dined here ..
More than a meal it's an experience beyond anything else ..
Thank you once again for a memorable experience like none other . I wish you guys the best and would love to see you continue to push the limits and boundaries of fine dining !!
Cheers and kudos to the team at LiPi .
Lipi is one of a kind place. It is not like any regular restaurant you would dine at. You are up close with what's being served to you.
The food and the people there is what makes Lipi.
Cheers to the whole team.

Lipi is an unique experience. In one word, it is splendid.

I had no idea that the Indian cuisine can be presented in such a creative and unique way. The taste of all the courses are unparalleled. Kari, colostrum and the nutty pumpkin are my favorites. Chef's meticulous efforts are reflected in the quality of every single dish.

Presentation of all the dishes are impeccable. The best feature for me about this place is that, even though it's a proper fine dining, I didn't feel restrictited as I do in other places. There is a lot of freedom on how I can experience the dish. Staff is very friendly and guided me through every course. They also explained the intricacies of every dish served. They make sure that everything fades away and set a tone for us to completely focus our attention towards the food.

I'll definitely go back. This place is strongly recommended for any food enthusiast.

This place is the literal definition of fine dining!! I’ve dined with lipi a couple of times now, and each dining experience has been mind blowing! The food is an outstanding 10 course menu comes with veg and non veg options! The menu isn’t like any other normal restaurant, it keeps changing according to what is available in the farm on the day. Which I think is exactly what makes good food! Brilliant execution of hard work and determination put in by the team to satisfy all the 5 sensations!
The ambience is extremely cozy and comfortable, home away from home! The attention to detail is exemplary like the crockery, cutlery, silver ware, glassware, seating arrangements, decor, etc! Simply enhances the entire dining experience!
And of course the team of fantastic four, they were so welcoming and hospitable! It felt like royalty every time I dined with them! The amount of love and compassion they have put into this restaurant is clearly visible in the food and service provided by the them!
Reservation is definitely recommended!
Looking forward to dine with them often!
Thank you so much.😇❤️

Lipi is so much more than a dine-in, is a mindfulness affair with the Indian cuisine .
I got the opportunity to experience this gastronomical delight on a raining Saturday evening along with a bunch of my school friends. It holds the concept of mindfulness eating which we do not get to experience on daily basis. I had explosion of unexplored flavours in my mouth and got to try dishes I never knew existed. Everything is hygienic, thoughtful and extremely pleasant on the whole. Being a vegetarian, I went through the full course of 11. Loved the ladies finger along raw mango chutney and the crispy leaves. The team behind Lipi, made us feel exclusive and loved. We got to talk to them about their ideas and just how passionate they are about what they do. If you're looking for a "hatke" experience and want to support their passion, DO go show them some love.

Had an amazing dining experience at this new little restaurant “Lipi” which opened yesterday at Indiranagar, Bangalore. An open kitchen concept and a unique menu with plenty of signature dishes (based on Indian ingredients) makes Lipi stand out! With nice music in the background, just sit back, watch the chefs prepare the dishes for you and while serving, the staff give you more info on how the dish was created. Myself being a vegetarian, I really appreciated the uniqueness of every dish (no boring paneer!) I loved the Chettinad Tomato and Fried Lady’s Finger with Raw Mango chutney. For non-vegetarians, they have lamb, quail and Gokharna Prawns! Desserts were the best! We even got complimentary freshly brewed coffee and tea (fusion of green tea and hibiscus which tasted very good)

Overall, it was a pleasant evening with great food and wait until the end when they surprise you with a takeaway gift and a cute hand-written Thankyou note! How sweet! I felt it’s value for money and highly recommend Lipi for all those food-lovers looking for an interesting dining experience in Bangalore! I would love to visit again for sure!
