Review Sree Krishna Sagar - Bengaluru

MAHESH HARPANAHALLI
It is a quick bite restaurant. Sitting facility is there. South Indian, North Indian dishes, chats, juices etc. Food is tasty. Reasonable rates. Staff is very co-operative and understanding. Very neatly maintained place. Hygeinic place. We had a very nice time, every time. We want to visit again and again. Good ambience. Quick service. Very decent customers. This is very close to Suryanarayana Temple, just a few steps. Very good lighting.

Decent hotel. Just behind Madurai Idly. This place is usually crowded. Hotel is well maintained. Self service only. Good seating arrangements. Food taste is also good. Can try starters which is of good taste, but starters takes time in preparing it, which take few mins for the food to be ready.

Cost of the food items in the Restaurant is moderate when comparing with the other restaurants and Quality also good. You can have Southindian, North Indian varieties, fresh juices, tea, coffee with Moderate prices. Thank you.

a pure veg hotel: being a vegetarian, i will say that their food is excellent and cheap, plus they provide ample amount.... one thing i love about the place is that it has just three walls and the front is completely open... it gives you a welcoming feeling... even the kids playing cricket nearby freely come to drink water there...

Been coming here from past 1 year. Food quality is excellent no complaints. The lady cashier shows professionalism and very courteous. A big thumbs up 👍🏻. Sri Krishna upahar thank you for the hospitality !!!

Even though I am from north India, I always love the South Indian flavor of sambar, mint coconut chatney. This hotel makes perfect samber also they have lot of variety of north Indian dishes. Which tastes good enough. It's a favorite tea break point for many of my colleagues. It's very close to main road so people around this hotel prefers to have breakfast lunch snacks juices dinner here.

Good place for snacks and desserts, beverages. I visit this place thrice daily for my dose of high, which is tea. Their cutting chai reminds me of my city, Kolkata. And there are good many choices of snacks available.

The premises is maintained very clean. I had masala dose here, which was too tasty and yummy. Chutney and sambar was also too nice to have.

Worst experience! Ordered coffee shake and they send me hot coffee for the price of a coffee shake. Zomato CXservice was also a disappointment.
Udupi, Sri Krishna, Brindhavan..homogeneous restaurants! Its their flavour and aroma you savour. Sri Krishna Sagar is one of the top 5 restaurants to have a good vegetarian meal. They are really good at how and what they are doing and I hope they continue to serve the people of Bangalore in like manner.
I have had Idly sambhar, Kerala Porotta meal, north Indian thali, etc. None of the dishes disappointed me though they could improve their north Indian Thali. It costs close to Rs. 100/- but it does not feed your hunger.
Top-notch restaurant.👍

Please ignore the so so review. Just found this in the Rava idli. (Fly)
.
.
.
Guys it's a Sagar Restaurant!!! Obviously it's a good place for Bf. Nothing more nor less. People in and around Dell EGL pls go ahead. Average food and light on your pockets.

Food is average but it is bang for the buck.
Hidden behind Madurai Idly Shop this place will be your go to place lunch and dinner if you are near EGL. Do understand the fact that the due to its proximity to the tech park it is crowded during lunch time to a point that there is not a single slot to stand in the restaurant!
Choices are high but if you are new in Bangalore try the South and North Indian Meals as they have perfected it an amazing degree
The rates are well within the budget and your wallet will thank you for taking the decision to come here. A quick point to mention is that the price is a whole number unlike other restaurants which have GST as an extra entry in the bill.
Avoid Biryanis at all costs.

A quick bite located opposite to EGL next to Madurai idly... Not much options or choices for a normal veggie... Standard place for having your lunch... Very small outlet with a seating arrangement for around 15 people... Happy with the taste offered here... Crowded in weekdays noons due to IT sectors around...

The place is decent and hidden behind Madurai idly shop in Domlur main road. The food is good. Nothing special. Dosa are good do not eat north indian food as its not good. Chutney and sambhar is good. Vada is very good. Self service only. If hungry then you can get a good meal at a decent price.

This joint is tucked away behind the new Madurai Idli Shop opposite EGL gate. A much better option for south Indian breakfast around EGL. I do love the open dosa, and how they display the dishes near the counter. Helps those who wouldn't know what a open dosa would look like. I also have tried the idli and sambar, vada, poori and dosa. Good stuff.

Good South Indian food and filter coffee. Dosas such as masala dosa and rava dosa are good. Paneer biryani is lovely. Good quantity and very tasty. Chhole battore also tasty though a bit oily.

Was craving for some south indian fare and tried the Rava Masala Dosa from the place. Had gone to dine in but the ambiance didnt suit so had a take away.
The food is their only speciality. An amazing Rava Masala Dosa for less than 50 Rs is total value for money.
Its a good place for a quick bite!

Kashmir Briyani and Mugalai Briyani are so good among the Briyanis. North Indian meal has delicious varieties of side dish. Cutlet and Pakkoda are average. Shezwan Noodles and Friedrice are spicy ( we sholud tell them to make it more spicy). Idli... Worst.

Ever since I have come to Bangalore, this place has been a daily affair for me :P
They have multiple chains and you can find them easily. Also, they are well known for attracting the office crowd during lunch times. Have been to their outlets in Domlur, Old madras road and C V Raman Nagar!

Had a variety of their offerings - idly, masala dosa, cheese dosa, vada, South Indian meals, poori bhaji, vegetable biryani and curd rice; and all were pretty decent.

Its a fast food joint so they haven't really worked on the interiors as such but have ensured the place is clean.

It's total VFM place as the meals are priced at 50 and dosas at less than 50 bucks.

This is a decent outlet for breakfast and meals around amarjyothi layout.idli vada, roti curry, south indian meals and north indian meals were decent enough if you are looking for quick grab around this area,as there are shortage of darshini hotels in this area.

While working in EGL business park(which is nearer to Krishna Sagar), we used to go here very often for lunch as we were very bored of Pyramid Food court..
Have tried: South Indian meals(love it :)), Rava masala dosa and masal dosa(good), North indian meals(not bad), curd rice(oook), pakoda and gobi manchuri(not bad), juice: Mango, chickoo, butterfruit....etc (all are good :) )

Food: 4.5/5
Service: 4.5/5
Ambience: 3/5

First restaurant I visited in Bangalore... This place is more of a thali/takeaway kind of a place.. Really cheap prices. Decent quality. Ambiance isn't something you look out for in these places really.

A place to enjoy the typical south Indian food. Even though its far from my home, it has become one of my favorite Dinner place. Love those yummy Chatni and Saagu. Suggestions - Yummy Set dosa & Samosa masala.

Went to this place for dinner. Checking in zomato it was listed as South Indian food. I had imagined that I'm gonna get real dosa, but it turned out completely wrong.

They had dosas only in their name, but the preparation was completely Bangalore style, no South Indian dosa will be like this. 😮😮😮. The sambar was sweet (typical Bangalore style)

It's a pocket friendly restaurant, so you can't expect classy ambience etc. The place was clean and decent.

They had other options like, fresh juices, chat items and snacks..

Overall it's a good one if you have no other option.

Gave 5 rating only for the courtesy of the owner as well as workers.

Owner is actually roaming around all the time keeping an eye on the workers whether they are working properly or not, or maybe misbehaving with the customers or not. Owner himself comes and resolves if he sees customers facing any problem.

The restaurant architecture is completely open from front, so it appears to be welcomng.

The space might be a probelm as one person said in a review below, but i will accept that as a pure vegeterian person because this restaurant serves only vegetetain food.

Sri Krishna Sagar has over the past two months become my regular place. Working in Domlur, I have my daily breakfast in Krishna Sagar before heading to the office. We often even drop in for lunch and have tried all the cuisines served - South Indian, North Indian and Chinese.

The breakfast that I have usually consists of Idly and Vada. The Idly/Vada dipped in a bowl of Sambhar is delicious and the staff usually hands us a serving of chutney. The Idlies are soft and hot and make for a good breakfast. The Vada is also crisp and not oily.

The toughest part of Lunch at Sri Krishna Sagar is getting into the place. The place is filled to brim when one walks in for lunch at around 1pm on any working day. We usually order for Naans, Paneer Curries, Manchurians and Biryanis. The Butter Naans are standard fare that is served elsewhere in Bangalore, but it is the curries that make the difference. Each curry that we have ordered have been made deliciously good and stand out against what is served in the usual 'Shanthi sagars'. The Manchurians are also made well. The Biryanis are all carefully prepared and served with a different look for each type of Biryani. The serving usually includes lot of fruits and dry fruits. The Biryanis also score well in the taste factor.

On the whole, I have no complaints with this place. Except maybe for the space available, but that is hardly a problem created by the eatery. If you are near Domlur and looking for a quick breakfast or lunch, don't think twice and head directly to Sri Krishna Sagar.

This joint is which is multi cuisine has it's hands in all pots and outcome of that is nothing.
The food here is mildly average. The chinese and bhelpuri was bad and the Dosa was just average. The ambiance is okay. You'll find nothing special in this place so don't go there expecting something.

Just your average food.

Ambiance - 2.5-3 / 5
Food - 2.5/5
Value for Money - 2.5-3 / 5
Service - 3/5

Rating: 2.7/5

Went to this place while strolling casually in the area.. Dint expect this place to serve such a tasty food...Ordered for Masala Dosa, Rava Masala dosa and Dahi Vada.. The Dahi Vada was superb with thick curd and good toppings... The sambar was sweet but tasted good all in all..Very economic on pocket as well...A nice place to try out if u r near the area...

Worst customer service! Never wanted to review this place but they have asked for it. 1st time some head found hair in their so called "hyderabadi biryani" and when I bought a new kind of panneer biryani which tested like Shit! Now when I wanted to just cancel one dish on the order actually it wasn't even ordered i just had asked to change it on the printed slip and the cashier refused to do so, what kind of customer service do they even give.
