Great place for veg thali and other veg dishes at a pocket friendly rate. Must try dishes: pav-bhaji, aaloo paratha, paneer paratha, chhole bhature, and the best of all : litti (daal-baati) chokha.

The taste and quality of the jalebi and namkeen i bought were real bad. Didn't look fresh, overall a bad experience with the taste and the packaging.

We order for lunch, and receive half items. Rest will take an hour ... this is not acceptable. Now unable to cancel, unable to get refund. no response from zomato.

I ordered home delivery, masala puri was all mixed together and sent so I dint feel like I am eating masala puri as puri and sev everything was completely soaked and was not crispy. Samosa was good, kalakand burfi was actually milk khova burfi not kalakand so I was disappointed.
Overall it was average.

Always been an amazing experience!! North indian experience in South!! Very economical !! I normally visit here once in a week! Very courteous owners! Along with sweets their chats and parantha collection is also amazing!! Their paneer parantha is my favourite! They just need to improve with hygiene! Everything else is fine! Every north Indian should give at least one try! Their pav bhaji gives feel of Bombay! Jalebi and other sweet collection is also fabulous

15Rs for a Single piece of Dhokla, I mean whom are you fooling :)

Tried the kutlet here - utter shit

It may be good for sweets, haven't experienced. But as far as fast food considered. Big no

I accidentally found this restaurant which turned out to be a fortunate one! It's like finding a diamond in the coal mine. A typical North Indian fast food outlet in a South Indian locality, Shree Shyam Sweets is a bliss! Charts, parathas with different stuffings, pav bhaji, chola bhatura and what not! Mouthwatering sweets including gulab jamun is also available with such an affordable price! This restaurant saves my hostel life and gives me a homely feel! Simple seating arrangement is there, however you will have to depend on self-service. The best part is that, they cook everything with hygiene. You don't have to think twice before visiting this shop again, one must give a try, specially North Indians!
Previously owned by Bansuri sweets this place was once a paradise for chat lovers. However as time passed by its 'golden era' kind of faded away and now I am not even sure if they are making some real profit because I hardly notice people going there. Rates are fine even though its tilted towards the expensive side. Taste is however good. Love the basundi sweet and eat it whenever I go there. Ambience is okay-ish as there's a huge drainage system adjacent to the building. Gol gappa and other chat items including pav bhaji is good. Give it a try!
Overall verdict-
Rate- 3/5
Ambience-3/5
Taste-4/5

Used to go here a lot, until I saw what would otherwise have been a very touching and warm incident. A mother mouse (I know the difference and it wasn't a rat) was moving her entire brood of 6 (I think) babies right through the place, and one was left behind, squealing and squeaking away. The cold, nervous little mouse lay there, flailing its little stubby limbs in the air, frantically trying to get back on its feet which probably wouldn't have been able to support its weight anyway. I stayed there for over an hour and watched as the little pup cried its heart out, wailing in its own way, for its mother who had just far too many mouths to feed, and thought about life, the warmth of placental birth and the transcendence of emotions over such trivial barriers like time and energy. Only after I left did I realize, much to my fury, that all the while, not a single person who worked there had bothered to pick it up and throw it away (as inhuman as that might have been) or even just pushed it to some corner so it wouldn't be stepped on by other patrons. That incident changed me forever. So, yeah. 1.5.
