Review The French Loaf - Bengaluru

This place has an old look charm to it. With wooden stools and school like wooden tables for the seating, and bulbs for lighting. You'll either like the ambience or dislike it. No questions of average when it comes to rating the ambience of this place. Depends on one's personal liking and choice. Although I would like to mention that sitting on wooden stools surely does feel uncomfortable by a bit. And that discomfort just gets compounded if you intend to sit for long. :P As for the food, it was lip-smacking and tasty. And was more than adequate in terms of quantity as well. We ordered the disco chicken wings which had a nice tinge of sweet taste to it. The Cafreal chicken burger has a saucy and spicy filling in between and tastes quite different (in a nice way) compared to a usual burger. While the Nandu's Peri Peri Steak has 2 big pieces of chicken served along with mashed potatoes and veggies. Service is up-to the mark and nothing major to complain of. Left this place with quite a good taste on my mouth. Highly recommend to visit this place and enjoy the old look ambience along with some tasty food.

I love this place interior is so good even if it's small. It's neat and clean I have ordered original New York dog and smallys brownie shake everything was nice. I love to be there again. Price is reasonable, the food quality was awesome and taste is amazing. Service is average.

A small place located along the New BEL Road with a big menu spread. You wouldn't notice this place easily. Rustic ambience with good music and nicely maintained. Their food is also good and service is quick, although it may take a while for them to take your order. Their shakes are a must try. Limited seating not exceeding 60 pax but definitely worth a visit. Parking is a problem although vallet parking service is available.

This is one of the best places in Bangalore for burgers! So try the Smallys brownie shake. And also don't forget their pastas and cheese fries. The pastas are really creamy and tasty. It's a small and cosy place with good food, to chill out with friends 😁

Since smally's is a zomato gold partner , it is highly recommended as you'll be getting great food for a relatively lower price. The burgers and pizzas are really good and the desserts are definitely worth it.

It has really good food. The French fries are one of the best I've had . Burgers are made with care you will appreciate it as a burger lover. Everything is great and it's not too expensive. Its on par with truffles

I reached this place to find closed doors, which on entering you will find few tables, retro switches and some posters on the wall. Its a simple yet well decorated place. I ordered Lord of the wings which is basically chicken wings and they were served with mayo. The sauce was too good and the wings went well and was finger licking. Next came the Smally's fried chicken, which is crumb coated and fried strips of chicken served with spicy mayo. The strips were little spicy and had a hint of green chillies to it which I loved. Then we tried Stir My beef, which are spicy strips of beef. I loved the succulent and tender cuts and it was so juicy. We also tried the Shredder Burger, which had minced beef in it but I felt it lacked the quantity of beef in it. The flavour of bun was dominating compared to other stuffs. Then came the New York Beef Cheese steak. It had a large chunk of beef brisket, salad, fried veggies, garlic bread, cheese sauce and the potato mash. This dish was my personal favourite. The meat was huge and it went well with the buttery mash and also the cheese sauce in it. I would have been happier if it was a bit hot. We ended our dinner with Walnut and Marshmallow Brownie and Green Apple basil soda. The quantity of soda didnt justify the price though. Price was reasonable for most of the dishes. Overall it was a good experience and also the service was good.

Nice place to hang out, especially if you own Zomato gold. The food is up to the mark and service also is amazing. Big hen burger is highly recommended. Availability of PayTm and PhonePe as payment options makes payment also convenient 👍

Really good food and nice ambience. But the seats could have been a bit more longer. Bit too congested to sit at one table. Nice interiors. Bit tough to get the attention of the waiters though.

Awesome place to eat food. They have nice ambience that too traditional . You can feel the experience of sitting at some 1800s time house. The taste of the food is awesome. Service is bit slow. overall it's nice place

The ambience at this place is the best. The small door opens up and you will end up seeing a very good and nicely decorated place with classic and old style. When it comes to food we have a quiet lot of options and it ranges from appetizers to desserts. We ordered bucket of fries , peri peri chicken strips and lord of wings (chicken wings) . The fries were provided with three different dips and the fries were crisp and good in taste. The chicken strips had a peri peri flavour and the chicken wings tasted juicy and spicy with barbeque sauce. Cheesy Jalepeno burger , peri peri chicken burger and The chickaboo burger all had good flavours and taste . The spiciest being the peri peri and then comes the chickaboo then the cheesy burger. The magical paneer steak made our day with too many good flavours and the spicy sauce with the paneer being tender and tasty and the veggie salad given had a tangy taste because of the lemon and chat masala and then we ordered the walnut and marshmallow brownie which had 3 scoops of vanilla icecream and brownies with marshmallow melted in it and this elevated the taste of the brownies and it had good amount of quantity to eat. Parking is limited in front of the cafe so make sure you get a right parking space near the place. Taste - 4/5 Ambience - 4.5/5 Staff - 3.5/5 Price - 4/5 Happy fooding.

The management or something has changed. It no longer has the same menu. The old dishes are not available. However the new ones are really good. The options are very less in starters, not what they used to have but still, their stuff is good. The paneer steak was really good and the peri peri sauce was extremely spicy but delicious. The red velvet cake was pretty good but was hard and probably refrigeratedly old.

It's a great place to hangout with your friends, to catch up, the food's good slightly expensive and the service is good too.. I enjoyed the place very much especially in the evening. On the whole its a place I might consider going again.. The food options were down when I went though.. Cause of some reason a whole section was gone.. Wouldn't matter for non vegetarian but mattered to me cause my options git reduced.. And the alcohol is pretty reasonable too..

One of my favourite joints for an evening hangout. They serve great chicken hamburgers which are handful and yummy. Mac and cheese pasta is to die for. The milkshakes are good too.. Especially the chocolate oreo shake. Little expensive I guess but worth paying. Small and cosy place. Customer friendly management.

This place is infamous for its slow service. Apart from that, it has a good ambience. The taste of the burger and the wings was good. This place is definitely worth a visit. Considering the overall experience, the prices were a bit high.

Celebrated our Rakhi Celebration in here. So we went for lunch! We ordered The Pugs as a starters, then The Chickaboo (Burger), The Tandoor (Burger), Chappar Sandwich and Murder Combo Chicken. The quantites of Combo and single Burger was almost same! On desserts & drinks- Smallys Brownie, Hot Chocolate Fudge & Nuts. All were tasty and enough to have! The ambience, interior and staffs behaviours were good. Had fun!
