Food is good and tasty...Sit and dine available. . Toilet facility is not there but washing hand and drinking water available. Pretty decent hotel that sells South Indian, North Indian and Chinese food.

We look for clean ,quick, easy, hygienic eating places and this is tops. From a pleasant manager/owner handling cash counter (it's a self service eatery) to way food handlers give food. Language limitation is not an issue here, as all have smiling faces. We not only eat but pack some dishes to carry home too.

It's a great place with delicious south indian food at affordable prices. The food was really great while the prices are pocket friendly.

I had the chance of having delicious and tasteful breakfast at Lalbagh Grand Veg hotel when I visited opposite located Lasik Vision Centre. I had Idly and Vada which was tastier with sambar tasting like soup and chutney was fresh. All the items are good here and this hotel is highly hygienic. Attenders are friendly. Although, Self service is here, enough seats are there to relax and eat comfortably. Prices of items are normal. No wait or much rush in early morning. Parking is convenient.

There is a mini party hall where you can plan small birthday parties. They have clean wash room and hand wash areas. It is very convenient to accommodate almost 50- 60 guests in the mini hall Parking: near the road side , very congested area you will have to find some good place to park Accessibility: just walkable distance from the metro. Taking a metro and reaching to this place is highly recommended Food: Simple and absolutely tasty, 10 on 10 on the quality of the food.

Lalbagh grand near Lalbagh is a vegetarian restaurant that serves typical South Indian food. The place has very good taste to offer but cleanliness is questionable. The server was dripping sweat almost on the food. The food was good and the prices are great,

My report card
Price – 8/10
Taste – 7/10
Portion size - 8/10
Service – 2/10
Ambiance – 4/10
Cleanliness - 1/10
Value for money – 7/10
Will I go back – I will rather get a takeaway!

Took almost 1hr to serve the food. And seriously food was pathetic. Quantity was very less and not as expected wrt to the price mentioned. Served chapati portraying it as roti. Never visit the service hall, staffs are not there to take up orders as well. Need to wait fr long to just give your order.

I ordered gobi pepper dry, once with offer and once without. But there was no difference in the quantity. Very nice service. And also value for money.

Ordered via Zomato app, delivery was on time and the food was not that great had ordered masala poori and kesari bhat, the kesari bhat was very dry as though you are eating some rubbery food(pic added) and masala poori was very tasteless the masala tasted like tili saru no masala poori flavour.

A sub standard darshini hotel near Lalbagh West Gate .
Food is not so great and so is the ambience . Not worth eating at this place if you have experienced something better . There is nothing noteworthy about this place.

We were A group of cousins who went here after a morning walk at Lalbagh on a Sunday. We went in expecting the same that we would from any other restaurant that looks/feels like this place (decent breakfast, clean tables).
Ambience: Darshini in the ground floor, service wing in the first floor), simple seating.
The first thing we noticed that the darshini was half as crowded as any darshini would be on a Sunday, that too being close to Lalbagh where thousands come to reclaim their lost lung power every Sunday.
We still didn’t get the cue and we went upstairs and found the service wing EMPTY! We literally had to ask the head waiter there if this section was open to which he responded positively. We sat down by 8:15 and there were nobody who even came to our table till 8:40. After a few nudges, the disinterested non-kannada/English speaking waiter came to take our order, without anything to write down. When we asked him where the book was, he said he would remember the order and went away, after we ordered for 5 plates of idly-vada, 2 single idlies and 3 single vadas!
30 mins later, the idlies still weren’t served and we started getting impatient as it had almost been an hour at that place and we hadn’t tasted a morsel!!
We took the supervisor there to task about the horrible service for which he replied “sir, can’t help. Staff not there today”
Finally the idlies came to our table and as guessed, the sambar was like warm and our north eastern memory man had forgotten the vadas 😎
There were a few masala dosas that were ordered which came in and then came the surprise. Our entire order was brought to us to be served again. Apparently, they had taken down the order twice 😂. To summarise, the service sucked!
Taste: The chutney tasted good, while there was nothing extraordinary about anything else we had that day.
While we were free and enjoyed the time in cousin banter, not all your customers might like waiting for an hour, to eat idlies!

Avoid if you can! Go there only if you are forced to!
I ordered Dry fruit juice, the juice not at all good, only they put cashewnuts with milk and they charged Rs. 90/- as i enquired what about the other dry fruits, no answer from them, and cashier also not responded. Very bad experience.
Sindhu Doopada

This is my destination on the morning and evening walk so became my breakfast & dinner place quite often during my going on days in Basavanagudi the cultural heart of city. I tasted here Rava Idly, Khara bath, Bonda soup, tea, raagi malt. Everything was extremely good in taste. more than expectation.

After roaming in lalbagh garden, came for lunch.
Ate sweet neer dosa and masala paper dosa. Both were very tasty specially neer dosa. Coffee tasted bitter for me, may be others like it that way. Good meal after excursion.

This restaurant is opposite to Lalbagh Botanical garden west gate, visited for 1st time. Ground floor self serviced and was full.Went to AC section,we are served by paper Dosa which was too much oily and chutney was mild. OK for 1time visit.

They have different kinds of dose. We tried 5 kinds of which neer dose wasn't up to the mark where as others were good. Quick breakfast place near lalbagh which makes it easy to grab one after morning walk.
