Review Sunny’s Restaurant - Bengaluru

Maneesh M
Sunny's Restaurant is a classic Bangalore gem owned by Mr. Arjun Sajnani, who's also a theater director – quite the multi-talented individual! The place is renowned for its continental desserts, and they've got it all – from the classics to new-age fusion delights. You'll find sandwiches, burgers, quiches, and pasta, but wait, there's more – they've got steaks too! Yep, they're big and hearty, perfect for sharing if you're not super hungry. The quality of sandwich bread can be better though. Now, about the drinks – they've got quite the selection, so you can sip and savor to your heart's content. The building is an old villa that has been converted. They were at one point in Vittal Mallya Road, in a tall glass building, but I honestly prefer the current location. The ambiance here is on point. You've got the choice of a lovely outdoor space that's pet-friendly and lush green, or if you prefer a cozy indoor setting, they've got that covered too. And if you're feeling fancy, there's a veranda section on top for some elevated dining. In a nutshell, Sunny's Restaurant is a must-visit spot in Bangalore. Whether you're looking for a tasty meal, a cozy indoor retreat, or a pet-friendly outdoor experience, this place has it all. Don't miss out on this culinary and atmospheric delight! Can be a bit heavy on the pocket, look to spend at-least 2K per person.

Went here on a Friday afternoon with my dog. The atmosphere is quite chill.. The waiters are polite and non intrusive and the food is quite good albeit slightly over priced. Had a steak and then their signature tri layer chocolate mousse. Steak was quite good(although they gave it medium done even though i had asked for well done) and the mousse was exceptional. Overall a nice experience and recommended.

I booked a reservation for 1:30 pm on a Saturday. I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't crowded and it was extremely reasonable. I didn't find the prices too much. We were 4 people and it barely came to Rs2500. The place has got that old Bangalorean vibes which I loved very much. If you do sit outside, you'll be met with a lot of cigarette smoke, so sit inside if the smoke bothers you. I had the vegetarian quiche (it has spinach, mushrooms, eggs and cheese) and it was flaky, crumbly and delicious! I didn't like the desserts, they have very good variety but the chocolate isn't dark enough (even though I got the darkest chocolate cake) and they do add way too much sugar - maybe they cater to people who have a sweet tooth. I loved the service - the staff is very polite and we got our food incredibly fast!

Good restaurant in a great locality. Home like environment and food was awesome and tasty. Good quantity for main course but not starters. That can be improved. Good staff and service was quick also. Reasonable price also.

Even on a sunny day like today we were sitting in the open air seating area and completely relaxing with a perfect company in a perfect place. this is one of the first places i had explored in Bangalore when I came here all disappointed to leave Mumbai and its amazing eateries(like the bandra small hole.in the wall cafes and restaurants)...and sunnys was a bright ray of hope that this city should be given a chance...not a hole.in the wall kinds...its a proper restaurant with ample seating area and options. Still the same even after 7 years. The whole spread of the menu is refreshing and let me add it offers a lot of variety to choose from too. For a lighter day go with the salad and an angel hair pasta (veg or nonveg). Both together is good for 2 people. End with a small dessert for sure like a tiramisu or a chocolate tart and when u starving go for the burgers, steak or pizza and other main course dishes with an extravagant yummy dessert (all are good). The service takes time but its worth the wait.

Great place... Went there on thanks giving... The owner is a older.man. who comes and personally talks to diners and I think that's very sweet.. the chicken with mushroom sauce, there Thanksgiving special was good but to heavy for my liking. The desserts were awesome... We had a chocolate cake and lemon tart.. must check this place out for there ambience. The waiting staff need to be more aware of there menu. They can't answer any questions we ask regarding the meal.

The restaurant has an awesome ambience. Has both outdoors and indoors seating. The menu is extensive. One can easily indulge in an authentic Italian meal here. The prices are a bit steep but its expected from most of the eateries in the area. The portion sizes are a bit smaller for the prices. PS: The place is pet friendly. And they have a dog who is very friendly.

Absolutely amazing food! My favorite place for Italian in Bangalore. I have been going there for years and I have never ever been disappointed. Their chicken with cream sauce and sun dried tomatoes is a winner for me and the Barbra chocolate tart is to die for! Must visit!

Had heard so much about this place and finally decided to go there mid February. The ambience is nice considering that the main road is just outside. The staff were friendly as well. They have a few dogs on the property I think and they are mild mannered. Ended up having the sushi which was pretty good. The pasta however wasn't the best. I wish the wine cellar was better stocked as they didn't have most of the ones that were on the menu. But the overall experience wasn't terrible. I just expected better.

The place where you can try European/Italian cuisines. This is an old house turned into a restaurant and has a very classic look. This place has indoor as well as the outdoor seating and also the balcony seating. I haven't tried any food but my rating completely goes for the ambience that they have created. This place is only 700mters (Approximately) from both brigade road and UB City Mall.

Great Continental food. Ordered pork chops and beef in Brandy sauce and both were delicious. The bonus is the place being pet friendly so you can take your pooches along.

The food was just mind blowing. I won't mind going again and again. The tiramisu is just so fluffy and the amount of coffee is just so right. The risotto is something one must not miss.

Sunnnys is synonymous with Italian food . We went to their Lavelle Road branch for a Sunday lunch and ordered sunny’s crunchy chicken strips with aioli, stuffed zucchini rolls with tofu, Sunny’s own chicken burger and for desserts we tried their iconic Paris Brest and Swiss chocolate truffle torte. The place is usually crowded on weekends so would recommend to reserve table before going in . On the Sunday when we went the place was packed with crowd. The food was good but menu is slightly on the expensive side. You have to try their Paris Brest dessert which is to die for !

Sunny's is an iconic Bangalore restaurant and you'll know why the moment you enter. It's absolutely beautifully done up in an old house, airy, bright and totally Bangalore! The spread is exhaustive and the food and drinks are both different, interesting and appealing! A perfect place for a leisurely catch up with friends and family!!

We had been there for team lunch and waited for like 2.5 hours to be served. The restaurant wasn't crowded in the afternoon on a Wednesday. Still, I have no idea why the service was so bad. The food and dessert on the other hand were plus plus. Highly recommended for desserts. However, I didn't like the fruit punch on their non-alcoholic drinks menu. Everyone of us, ordered like pasta or spaghetti and everything turned out to be REALLY good. Apart from the bad service.

I am a bit surprised that sunnys has only 4 rating until now. Our experience was definitely a 5. The restaurant itself is in a beautiful old house where you will feel like just lounging around with a drink in your hand.
Right from our appetizers of chicken yakitori and cucumber and avocado sushi ( though the sushi had wasabi already in it and was a bit stronger than we liked), to the cocktails and our mains of filet steak and vegetable canneloni was excellent. They even gave an appetizer portion of the alfredo pasta for our 4 year old which is something unique and a great idea for kids. The menu has a lot of interesting options which I am looking forward to trying on our next visit.

Just amazing place ,best in town in all aspects .From service to ambience ,Decor . Sunny's is as good as old wine .

This place servers very yummy food and their pasta will surely not disappoint you. It's perfect for a casual lunch or dinner.
Rachelchung1992
This has been one of my most favourite places. But today it was plain horrible.
Firstly, there was a cockroach in the napkins
Then the server was just so rude and even though we asked for the main course to be served while we were eating our salad cause honestly the salad is too creamy and I like eating it with the salad on the side. He didn’t oblige and made us wait over 40 minutes for the pasta. Now by then I called up the restaurant and asked them to feel free to pack up the pasta cause it’s past 10PM.
After 5 minutes or so the pasta comes to the table. Of course by now I’ve lost appetite and we asked for it to be packed.

Good food and great ambiance, you can spend a nice sunny sunday afternoon at Sunny's. The service idle prompt and if you love doggie there will be plenty to pet. It's a perfect place for a relaxed lunch with some great cocktails.

We celebrated a birthday here and the evening was lovely. The restaurant provides Valet Parking. Ambience is extremely positive with a good crowd. Food is amazing too. Our server was extremely helpful . Will definitely recommend and visit again.

Third time to this place. Nice ambience, good food, and a very relaxed place. Nothing much to complain about.
Vidya Gopinathan
Ordered a salad via Swiggy and received it in a cardboard box. Looked like it was simply dumped in there. All for sustainable packaging but you have to figure out the most convenient, efficient sustainable packaging. Throwing it all into a cake box (essentially) doesn’t make it okay. Imagine paying about 600 bucks to have this delivered to you.
Neeharika Duggal
sushi had hair in it. spaghetti had maggots in it. frozen hot choclate tasted spoilt. we had food poisoning. waiters didn't give a damn!
Ujwala Krishnamurthy
This one is a classy place with great food and delicious desserts. Also, pet friendly!

Just had the pizza which was ok. I am sure I willwait for a long time for the rest of food to arrive.
Ashish Agarwal
The food is really bad and the ambience is not all that good... The desserts are just a joke.. and the staff is just laughable at.. they have no knowledge of what they are serving nor do they know how to do it... This place is just a circus running in the middle of Lavelle road

Horrible Sunday Lunch .. I visited the place for lunch where I had ordered sushi , grilled Prawns and drinks. The virgin mojito had flat Coca Cola in it and few leaves of mint . The staff said , this is how we make virgin mojito.

The sad part was the portion size of desserts. A slice of cafe was hardly 2 cm in width for 500 Rs . Tiramisu was like bread pudding with sweet water leaking from the dessert.

Complete No to this place .

Nice place to unwind with friends/family on a lazy afternoon. Surrounded by greenery. More options for non-veg. Found it on the pricier side for the quality offered.

Classy , causal dining place in Lavelle Road . Best part about the restaurant is they are pet friendly in outside section . Ambience is great and pleasent . Service and staff is courteous, they have been polite and helpful on all my 3-4 visits infact . One of the best place to have a good beer / WINE especially with good steaks . They serve wines from across the globe like French , Chile , Australia, Spain , Italy to name few . They also serve good 10-15 premium beers . Their beef/ chicken steaks are really worth trying , portion size is ideal for one person . Overall most of the dishes including pastas , burgers and steaks on the menu is either good or great . And one should not miss their desert collection, BOMBE AU CHOCOLAT is must try .

Taste : 4/5
Ambience: 4/5
Service : 4/5
Value for money : 3.5 / 5
Sunny cafe .... our hangout adda for almost every weekend. Food nd drinks are superb.
Service is bit slow if you r in rush but when u look other way around u can chill thr for 2-3 hours easily.
Awesome place for pet owners coz this is pet friendly place.

I guess with Sunnys you can never go wrong...n I mean the Lavelle Road and not indiranagar branch...the apple martini was exquisite and the food was yum...we ordered the risotto and Thai salad which were perfect...the sharing option is also great here...the sushi was the only dish that didn’t quite make it up there...but always worth a visit!

We had an amazing experience at Sunny's. The staff was very courteous. We had visit with our pet dog and even she was well looked after. She couldn't stop licking her lips after enjoying the delious chicken and rice. As for us, we had sangria for drinks, Chicken breast with sun dried tomatoes, and Chicken diane. Both the chicken dishes were mouth-watering. The quantity is sufficient for one person, in fact you might not even be able to finish it if you have had starters before. The place itself has a very good feel and we loved the vibe. Definitely recommend this, and we sure are going to visit again.
Swati Vittal
Terrible food. Terrible service. Definetely not worth it. With so many options around Lavelle road, this is probably the worst. Should be avoided.

Amazing pizza and pasta! Try veg lasagne! It’s amazing. Pizza is crisp and thin. Ambience is amazing! Nice music and attentive staff. Only extreme pricing were deserts and bakery items. Otherwise 5 star!
Sakshikabra1993
Sunny's is one of my favorites in Bangalore. Right from the ambience, to the amazing food, this place gives you the best culinary experience. Even before you start your meal, they provide you with bread basket and herbed butter which just melts in the mouth. I would recommend the pizzas and raviolli here, especially the pizza with spinach and garlic. If you are a Zomato gold member, you get 2+2 on drinks. The flavoured margarita is good and you can request as per your taste. The places is slightly highly priced but overall great hospitality and food that settles right in your heart. On weekends you might bump into many famous personalities and cricketers.

We came here for a farewell of one of our colleague and it was a good choice we made. The food was delicious, ambiance was soothing and the staff were very courteous.

Very nice fine dine experience. They offer really good cocktails. The prawns starters are a must try. The ravioli is a little disappointing, does not live up to expectations. Staff is very friendly and ambience is amazing!
Suveera Puri
They know how to get their meat preparations just right. The tiramisu they serve is the best I've ever had. P.s love the fact that the place is named after a dog.

This restaurant is old Bangalore! With lasagne, pastas, light salads, girth expanding desserts it’s a great eating place. Ambience is good and you will definitely savour the experience.

Amazing place. Must visit.
The staff is kinda sparce when it is a full house.
Food is commendable. Desserts are delicious.
Althpugh if u exceed the closing time even by 5min, you will find yourself all alone with just the security waiting for you to leave.
Food: 4
Ambience: 5
Staff: 3
Value for money: 3
Overall: 3.5

I went here with a lot of expectations. This visit was about 20+ years in the waiting as I had only heard from some people that it was great but I never got to go. The ambience and location are great and the welcome was a tad plain. Once seated, we looked at the menu and made up our minds to go safe with a burger, fish and a pizza. Full marks to the complimentary bread roll and dip. As a last minute decision I had also ordered the Onion rings and fried zucchini appetizer. Trust me on this, it was an apology of a dish. No chef in his right mind will serve up onion rings that are sized like the way we were served. The thinnest and smallest of onion rings with little or no batter on them. It was pathetic and we were too stunned to complain. The only saving grace were the main dishes, the toasted tomato, thyme and garlic pizza, Sunny's chicken burger and almond-crusted fish. The service is prompt but maybe our choice of table was wrong as well. The waiter stands next to the table and stares down as you have your meal. Sometimes two of them stare down. Swore never to come back as it was not a great experience at all.

Was at Sunnys last evening and ordered a bowl of my all time favourite pasta. Half way into the pasta, I noticed a tiny, dead cockroach. That was the end of our meal.
Sunnys has always lived up to my expectations but my last time there was a shocker. Would request the management to ensure proper hygiene in the kitchen and live up to the legacy of Sunnys.

Great food
Great sit out
Few dishes were good, rest were ok
Staff was friendly
Overall a good experience
Would recommend
The lavelle road brach which is located in the heart of Bangalore
A cozy ambiance

Been a regular here for nearly two decades now. The place has it's issues for sure. Service and maintenance could be better. But it's still one of the best places in the city for someone who's only interested in the food, and especially in the desserts. An old school place for the discerning foodie and not the clueless yuppie, which is exactly how we old timers like it.
Cibi Aananth
This place is at the heart of the city with home like ambience. Food is overpriced despite the taste. Had an average experience. Things to try : golden chili prawns

One of the legendary place of Bangalore for continental food. Before visiting the place we were aware that the service at Sunny's is not great but we still decided to visit as we thought food will be good, it's being a legendary place. It turns out to be a mistake and waste of money.
Service was pathetic, we had to ask more than four times for water and then only it was served. Also we asked them couple of time to switch on the fan but they never did. The entire outer section just had only one waiter, which is definitely not acceptable.
Luckily we just ordered only two items fish diane and calamari with basil and white wine. Portion was really small, especially the calamari. Calamari was also very chewy and the preparation was tasteless. Taste of Fish Diane was pathetic.
To summarize, please AVOID this place.
Puja Deb
The most overhyped restaurant in CBD area. Ambiance is soothing and the open area is pet friendly. But the food & service - PATHETIC!! We repeatedly asked for water and to put on the pedestal fan but they totally ignored us. Water was served after a good 10-15mins wait. We ordered some calamari & fish diane. The portions of calamari was a joke. Only 3 spoons of food that was. Tastewise also very below average. Fish diane was still better but not worth the money and hype. Very ordinary. Prices are exorbitant for such just edible food & lackadaisical staff. It is better to visit other fine dine in the city. Waste of time & money.

*O V E R R A T E D*
The service is the lousiest. Neither will you get a glass of water or any cutlery. We had asked the staff to switch on the fan which never happened. Food is terribly underwhelming. We had ordered the FISH DIANE and SQUID IN BASIL&WINE. Squid was hard and chewy, no taste of basil or garlic whatsoever. Fish Diane was equally unappetizing. Rice had a peculiar smell. Truffles does these continental dishes a hundred times better. And to top it all, the food is exhorbitantly priced. I just don't understand the hype surrounding the place. The only good thing is perhaps the ambiance. Being a pet friendly place you get to see lot of furry beauties.
Overall, I wouldn't recommend !

Went there for cocktails and found them made excellently! The outlet is pet friendly too. The staff is extremely courteous, the decor -laid back chic, and the food, incredible.

I've been to Sunny's previously on several occasions. I've been away from the country for a while and decided to give good ol' Sunny's a go for old times' sake. I walked in to this restaurant on a Sunday afternoon dressed in a respectable Polo t shirt, jeans, high-street sneakers and along with my work backpack.I was literally turned away at the door when I was told that there were no tables available inside, in a rather rude manner with the shabbily dressed waiter giving me a look as if you to say "why are you here", while the owner casually looked on, lounged on a chair outside and talking on his cellphone. The waiter did not tell me how long I would need to wait for a table or offer to take my name down on a waiting list. He simply turned me away. I was shocked with the attitude that this little 1000-rupee-meal, casual dine restaurant, had in a relaxed Sunday afternoon environment. Seems like they have a heightened sense of self-importance. Best of luck to you, Sunny's. And I'm sure I can find a good Caesar's salad and a wood-fired pizza at a dozen places in the vicinity, minus the attitude. PS: Perhaps your neighbor Smoke House Deli can teach you a thing or two.

Sunny's has been an all time favourite for a long time! However my last few visits I've been very disappointed and the most recent one has been the worst since I fell terribly sick after eating there. I'm not sure if the salad wasn't fresh or something else was wrong but I was puking through the night and I can safely say that has put an end to future visits.

Sunny's is an elegant place to have a good supper that fulfills your hunger. Given it's size and area, the restaurant is pet friendly. (Only in the outdoor seating area) The food is delicious. Had their Beef Stroganoff which was an absolute delight appreciating my appetite. The drinks were good. Tried their Cheesecake which wasn't as good as the food. It had a tangy taste to it which isn't generally the taste of Cheesecake. They add service charges aggregate of their bill, so make sure to have enough cash. :)

This beautiful place in lavelle road is our beer stop. I love their beer collection and small plates are perfectly complement each other .. amazing ambience , hint of Pondicherry and classic south Mumbai mix is great . Love their old charm building and polite staffs.

Do try out few exotic beers , Schneider and some other variants ..

This palce is perfect for Sunday afternoon conversation with glasses of beer.

So try out their desserts collection , it is worth trying .

Great ambiance, good place to go on a Sunday especially if you have pets. The drinks are good, always have enjoyed the Bloody Mary. The food has slowly over time lost its quality. I ordered a burger which was very average, could’ve had the same frozen patty at home. The pasta was good but did not get the bang for the buck. Eggplant Parmesan was also average.

One of the places where I think Zomato ratings colors our opinions in terms of rating. Strictly a 3 pointer for me.... NOT 4

Ambiance: 3.5
Food: 3.5
Service: 3
Value for Money: 2.0

The ambiance is nice, we had a sunday afternoon lunch and it really felt amazing.
Food was strictly okay - Pizza and Pasta
Service was not great.... It was so slow, perhaps they were running with fewer chefs that day but it was appalling

Worth going once or twice....to try it out....

Ambience is really good. The honeyed chicken wings and spaghetti in white sauce with sun dried tomatoes and chicken breast had a perfect balance of flavours. One of the favourites in Bangalore.
Maithreyi Manjunath
Quite disappointed with the quality and taste of the food.. such a let down considering Sunny’s has had a good name in the food industry.. never visiting this place again..totally not worth the money they are charging..

Nice place to hang out with friends and food is amazing but it's bit fancy on t price..... But a must vist place and spend some quality time..... Most of all it's dog friendly restaurant.....😀
Subir Deb
One of the finest Italian restaurant in the town with nice cool ambiance situated in one of the posh area in Bengaluru, very close to UB city. It's a two stories house with a small lawn transformed into a restaurant. Moment you enter the place will give you a warm vibrance.

There are many options to choose from but I will suggest to have a word with your steward before placing the order. They also very famous for their desserts.

Undoubtedly one if the nice dinner we had in Long time, though it will cost your pocket a bit 😉.

Overall it's 4 star for me.
Ambiance: 4.5
Food: 4.0
Service: 4.0
Value for Money: 4.0

Quite an aesthetically appealing place with a vibe that will remind you of pondicherry and goa.
Tried sushi, chicken strognoff and backon wrapped chicken steak.
Have tried their deserts also before and to be honest the place is really high when it comes to taste and quality.
Varun Jaura
Great ambiance. The roast mushrooms in the starter was divine. The vegetable medley hit all the correct notes on the taste buds and the finale was a strawberry filled profiterole.. Bliss. I was coming here after 15 years. And no regrets at all.
Sidharth
Very polite staff
Steak is really good
However not the best starters you would find even after ordering the cliche’d usually good dishes
A tad bit overpriced for the quality of food
Sonali
The ambience is pretty. It's a house turned restaurant. However, the food and service was disappointing. The staff barely knew what's on their menu. They couldn't even tell us what's good in chicken starters.. nonetheless, we ordered Thai grilled chicken..which was very sad in appearance even sadder in taste...the sauce was diluted and left a bad after taste. The LIT was good though. Perfectly strong.
Ambience - 4/5
Service - 2/5
Food - 1/5
Drinks - 4/5
Value for money - 3/5

Great drink and great food. Pretty nice place to chill and wind down with friends on lazy Sunday. Had great drinks and great time. Go Sunny.

Went for a weekday lunch. Ambiance was nice - we sat outside - and staff was polite and well trained.

Had heard a lot about their burgers, so ordered the All American Beef Burger with Cheese. Bun, sauces, and veggies were nice, but the patty itself was too dry and unflavourful. Maybe Chicken Burger next time.

My freind ordered Grilled Basa, which looked good.
Mitrarishi
Located on the quieter side of Lavelle Road, we found this to be the perfect place for lunch on Sunday. The place is spread across two floors with inside and outside sitting arrangements.

There is a gamut of pies displayed on the ground floor. Although very tempting, we decided to take it the next time we come here.

We took the chicken burger (without frills one). Served with an adequate amount of french fries, the key to this dish would be the thickness of the chicken patty. It was really thick.

The Chicken in Blue and Orange was a classic. Two big pieces of chick breast in a sauce, which I have to say, I tasted for the first time.

The Fettuccine with chicken was also good. Served across a white coloured dish, it has ample quantity of diced chicken with the pasta.

The service is excellent.
Chef Baggi
It was Déjà vu for me re- visiting Arjun and pleasantly surprised to meet the Genius himself.
Paris Brest, one is speciality is just the same after 2 decades. Hats off to him.
Would suggest everyone who is a Gourmand to visit him, kinda it shud be on their bucket list if in Bangalore.
A lovely, quaint little restaurant with some amazing dishes and kind staff. Would definitely recommend. It's a little pricey but totally worth it if you want a classy and calm, fine-dining experience.

Lovely ambience. Yummy food. It was my third visit to Sunny's and I simply loved it!
We ordered two mains - penne with pesto sun dried tomatoes and mushrooms and the pesto chicken with balsamic cream. The penne was delicious! The chicken.. even better. Pesto got a bit lost within the richness of the creamy sauce, but added to the taste nevertheless. Portions are huge and we could barely finish our dishes. We were stuffed! But the lure of the lemon pie was too much and we decided we would split it. Sadly the pie was a bit of a let down. The the filling was nice, but the crust was frozen and hard and tasteless. Either way I'll definitely make my way back there for some of their seafood!

The Parish Brest has a super fluffy melt in the mouth texture and is very well balanced in terms of sweetness and crunch. @amoghca recommends this to be an absolute treat. Very average food and horrible cocktails. Only thing good about this place is the ambience and the location. I wonder how it is rated 4 + on Zomato.

Have been going to Sunny’s for nearly 2 decades now and have enjoyed my past visits to a decent level, but today’s dinner being the Christmas Eve was a huge disappointment to say the least, the appetiser was pork ribs which was charred and we asked for a replacement which was again over cooked and did not like it, another starter crispy chicken was accompanied by common tomato sauce wherein aioli is what should have been served alongside and was a disappointment. Coming to mains ordered Fish & Chips, while the fish was crispy and nice the tartare sauce was burnt and smelt bad, I brought this to the waiters notice and he apologised and did not bill for the item, my family and friends also did not enjoy their mains and we were left with a bad taste. Do not enjoy giving a bad review but today’s bad dinner and bad service (even water needed reminders to refill) leave me no choice. Been a fan of Sunny’s food from my college days and sincerely hope someone takes charge and turn things over..

Beautiful location, lovely ambience, great music, fantastic staff but the food was a bit of a mixed bag. Have visited Sunny’s quite a few times and loved the desserts and Salads there, however this time went there for the main courses.

Ambience: (5/5)
This is such a great place to dine in the city, the trees and the beautiful interiors are a real treat to sit at. The balconies and the pleasant lighting all make this a top dining experience. Great deal of seating, both inside and out as well as balcony seating.

Food: (3/5)
The food this time around was a mixed bag for us. We requested for more spicy options, starting with the Thai Chicken - which unfortunately had quite a strong seafood smell and flavour that didn’t appeal to my friends and I ended up finishing the dish. It was a little on the stronger side. The pasta was the best dish of the night which was a veg pasta in white sauce. The spicy chicken steak ended up being more sweet than spicy similar to the starter. Finally the Steak Fillet though looked beautiful was not quite up to the mark as it was far more on the rare side than medium, making it a tad harder for me to eat it. Honestly, it might have just been an off day. Sunny’s is brilliant and worth a visit for the desserts and salads.

Summary: (3/5)
Had a wonderful ambience and great service. Certainly worth a visit, I can back the dessert offerings more than main course for now. It’s certainly a great weekend spot.

Friendly staff,
amazing food and ambience. Grilled prawns and the smoked salmon were mouth watering.. valet parking available... They had a few good veg options for my wife as well who is a vegan..

It's the place you go to when you want guaranteed tasty food. Pasta pizza and salads were amazing. Recommend the pesto chicken and the chicken leg in brandy sauce. Yum!

Nice atmosphere. Like dining in an old plantation mansion. Food is just ok and service it hit or miss depending on how crowded they are. Convenient and popular spot.

Apparently an old timers favourite and definitely a place where the affluent come to wine and dine. It has a nice open layout with a wooden yellow hue.

So I was at a team dinner so I got to eat a LOT of dishes. The starters were decent and I saw dishes from mushrooms to calamari to squids. The renowned main courses here are the chicken breast based dishes, fish based dishes, pastas, select pizzas and if you do eat them then pork/beef. I saw literally all of these on my table.

Would strongly recommend the chocolate truffle and the cheesecake. Some other desserts were just about okay.

Food - 4/5
Service - 3.5/5
Ambience - 4/5
Value for money 3/5 (expensive!)

This pet loving and welcoming restaurant is an ideal place to visit if you want to enjoy a night out with your lil fur balls.Their food is pretty good and the staff are cheerful and helpful. Their grilled Basa is a must try for seafood lovers and their desserts are absolutely scrumptious too.
We went to this restaurant seeing the reviews. But we were disappointed with few things. This restaurant is over priced for the food they serve. We ordered Fried Mozzerella and Stuffed Zucchini for starters. Fried mozzarella was very bad, it was chewy and tasteless. Stuffed zucchini was ok, but could have been much better for the price they charge. Main course was descent enough. Desserts! The list of desserts they have in the menu will make ur mouth water, but when v ordered, it was a disaster. We ordered Devil's chocolate cake. They served a tiny little slice of the cake, and the price for it was Rs.297. Total waste of money. I would not prefer going to Sunny's again.

Service was a complete disaster.

Had to ask the waiters repeated times for cutlery. Waiters were very arrogant.
Got served the wrong item, took ages for the correct order to arrive.

Coming to the food, mediocre at best.
The appetisers reached after the mains, and were cold.
The ganache tart was impressive, however.

Chose this venue to celebrate a special occasion. After hearing so much about Sunny’s, this was a complete letdown.

We went for a family outing today to this restaurant. Staff hesitantly received us. No greeting or even a smile.

We went up and were seated. Surprised to see broken cutlery ...

We ordered a Vietnamese roll, angel hair pasta, vegetarian cannolini and a pizza. Pizza was priced 750 +....

Coming to taste , Roll was good. Angel hair pasta was excellent. Cannolini average and pizza was good. Later took Baklava a dessert. However during this entire process no smile also. We felt we were unwelcomed.

Here is my rating
Food 4/5
Ambience 3/5
Service 2/5
Ambience - Quiet, no music, better go with a company you enjoy and like talking to or go alone. Food - I had ordered vietnamese rolls for starters which was unexpectedly cold, tasty and healthy :) For main course it was pasta with saffronised onions and tiramisu as dessert. Both are kick-ass! Pasta was unexpected and really tasty and didn't feel heavy on the stomach at all. Tiramisu was sinful. Spongy , adequate amount of cream on top, perfect amount of sweetness, overall great taste ! The other person with me ate seafood pasta and said it was really good! It had a generous amount of seafood in it. She had baked cheese cake for dessert which had a sour taste to it along with being adequately sweet. Tasty! Expenditure - Burnt a hole in our pocket. Expenditure was 3K for two people without alcohol. P.S. I was stuffed and had over-eaten but the best thing was that usually when one feels heavy, it is a disgusting feeling but not here. I was heavy after eating but didn't feel disgusted. Thus after-effect was good :)

Sunny's has always been an iconic venue to visit for bangalorians. I personally go to this place only for one particular dish which is the chicken breast with sun dried tomatoes. Blows my mind every single time!

Food was just ok, a tad bit expensive. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Had heard so much about the place, but felt a little disappointed with the food.

We ordered a Kiwi and cucumber mocktail which was ok, Greek salad with feta cheese (which was awesome), Spaghetti with caramalized onions, garlic and tomatoes with was just ok. We finished it with a raspberry chocolate cake which was sweeeeeeeet!! too sweet!!

Very good food. Enjoyed our sunday brunch. The place is soo peaceful. Best chicken scallopini ever! We also had a ham and cheese sandwich and a corona. This place is pet-friendly and we intend to get our 2 little dogs next time we are here. The place is definitely my favorite.

What happened to the Sunny‘s of past glories???!!
My return to Sunnys after a few years has left me a bit flabbergasted on two counts: the price and the service.
The food is still delicious and the ambiance is still lovely but the food is just unnecessarily priced outrageously. And if it came with remarkable service then I would even think it justified. It was painfully slow and there was a big confusion about the availability of a particular dessert. And after 25 minutes of back and forth I was asked to choose another option only to have what I originally ordered to be served to me.
As much as I’ve adored this place, I’m not going to return in a hurry anytime soon.

What a pretty pretty place. An old worldly charm grips every nook and corner.Perfect verandah setting.it is a great destination for lunches. However it is very heavy on the pocket.Food tastes good.Service needs attention.

Visited Sunny's yesterday with low expectations, as the restaurant is clearly nowhere in it's previous prime. However, the quality of the food does not reflect the customer turnout. I ordered a fillet steak and it was a perfect medium rare, and the pork ribs that my companion ordered was simply outstanding. It seems as though the customers have dwindled owing to a very drab ambience. Re-designing the place a little will most definitely bring back customers who seem to have forgotten what Sunny's has to offer.

Really bad service , they allow no time for people to come relax and enjoy their food. The servers have so much attitude , although the food was good, the manner in which the staff behaved and spoke to us , it just spoilt the entire experience for us .
