Review Taawoon Restaurant - Bengaluru

Amazing and huge restaurant. Multi Cuisine. Good ambience. We went as a group of around 40pax, and the service was excellent, efficient and quick. Food is delicious, well presented. Loved the veg and non veg dishes from the starters to main course.

Went for lunch with family and had a nice time. Food was good. Service was good. The atmosphere is not bad neither great . Just nice. Overall a decent experience.

In summary... nice ambience, quiet and cozy place ... average to above average food quality n taste. Dishes were tried are roti, butter chicken, American choupsey, hummus and bread. Just upto the mark ... nothing extraordinary. Ambience gets 5/5 ... for being cozy and spacious!!! Keralites can get traditional snacks from attached take away counter, served directly tho your table.

Good food. Good variety for onam sadya pricing was quite high at 900 rs per person. Considering it's veg and basic food items. Leela offers buffet at 999+taxes for a much larger variety. But it's ok.

Had dinner on the 16th of December night. An ideal place to enjoy fine dining. They have a variety of cuisines. The staff is dedicated and customer friendly..

Malayali aano? If not, no problem check out their cafe n enjoy a cup of tea/coffee (in the nadan style). Don't forget to grab a bite of those yummylucious banana fritters (pazhampori)

Place has really good ambiance. Has lots of tables so no waiting time and doesn't need reservations.They will give welcome drink and Food is excellent, all are fresh and delicious. This is a Kerala style restaurant. Medium spicey gravy and all items. Serving is also good and no delay. Must visit places for breakfast or lunch or dinner.

Been here often and revisited after a while. Many options to choose from for the whole family. Special mention for Dickson who served us and was very quick and responsive. We went there as a family of 5, including twin toddlers and everything was served pretty quickly. We went there at 7 pm so perhaps that also helped. They have ample parking as well. Grilled chicken and falooda were great!

Lovely place. The ambience was great and the waiters were pleasant. Things could've been better if the added finger bowls to the benefit of the wonderful service done till then

This place is amazing. It has great food specially Kerala cusine is just lovely. When we went, there was an Arabian festival going on and we ordered the Raan from that menu and it was top notch. Their desserts are also yummm. Best thing about Tawoon is they serve a variety of cusine's so it would satisfy all your cravings. Their ambience is great and it is very economical.

Celebrated my sons birthday today and the event went very smoothly. From the booking until the closure of the party, the management and staff treated all our guests really well. We selected the 750+ tax buffet and the food was very tasty especially the mutton Biryani. The entire ground floor was given to us which made out event very private with no distractions. Overall it was a great event. Thanks to Bibin and Allan who took the responsibility of taking care of everything

The food at Tawoon was fresh, tasty and flavourful. The multicuisine menu has many options ranging from Kerala, North Indian to Chinese both in vegetarian and non vegetarian. The interiors were modern, clean and sophisticated including the restrooms. It has an open cafe at the ground floor for a quick bite, restaurant at the second and banquet hall in the third floor. There is ample parking on the opposite side of the road. Will definitely go again with family and friends.

Excellent place. We had Kerala cuisine and it was superb. <br/>Fish fry, prawn biryani, kerala parotha and chicken curry, juices and sharwama. <br/>It was very very good. <br/>

Food was tasteless it was not fully cooked and too much oily..and with full dinner no onions or cucumber were given..don’t think will order again..

Very small portion price for the price, paneer starter dish has 5 small pieces for 190Rs.

Not sure how else to review this place. I'm sharing pictures as proof. Went to enjoy Onam Sadhya and trust me, I wish I had -ve star rating here! Extremely PATHETIC service of food. None of the item was tasty. Staff doesn't know how to serve a meal in Order. Rice was semi cooked. Half of the items promised in the Menu was missing. The worst restaurant experience till date in Bangalore. Just opt out guys. Not worth it. Go only if you are into good looking ambience and not for good food.!

I had excellent lunch with my family from tawoon.Ambience is good for family crowd.Whatever I ordered quality and quantity was excellent.i recommend 💯 tawoon for Arabic cusiene and Kerala foodies

Very bad service. Ordered bread items and paneer curry. But received chicken curry instead of paneer. By the time they got the correct order the breads were cold. On top of that taste was very bad. Not worth to spend your money.

It was really shocking to see the packing of food with bare hands considering the gravity of the current situation.

Instead of veg schezwan rice got egg schezwan rice and other items were not as expected in both quality and quantity...

It is not often that I am left at a loss for words and that's exactly what Taawoon has done. Forget their delicious meats, I would come back just for their tea! 😍

This incident happened a while ago, it was the month of December 2019 before Christmas me and my friends got to know about this restaurant in Kothanur so thought to give it a go. Dine in experience - Most items advertised wasn't available and was disappointed and the employee behind the counter didn't know what was available and what wasn't so wasted lot of time , however the the ambience was great and the owner was very understanding and patient with my complaint over the phone and assured it would be better next time , I even got a call from the restaurant manager assuring best of services. Although I left disappointed this time am sure my next experience would be better. Now its been 4 months almost and due to Corona and lockdown situation I did not get chance to go and experience what they have promised.<br/>I'll update my ratings and review once I get chance to go there.

I have ordered yesterday 23rd April - Shawarma and Alfham Dajaj Dry thinking I will receive fresh and tasty item but I was really shocked to receive Cold and Old quality food delivered. Hence kindly dont order from here untill covid 19 lockdown gets over. Sad part is I never expected this bad experience from this restaurant. This review is for the food ordered online via Zomato. I have always liked Tawoon food...But today's food was very disappointing...I had ordered Coco chicken based on my previous experience..last time it was amazingly good...But what I got today was no where close to good...the recipe looked different and tasted bad.....We also ordered Karimeen Pollichath..The masala was old ..guess stored for long period and the fish was over fried...i was happy that finally a good restaurant is here...But you guys are losing the name.....Tawoon Management..... please ensure the quality of the food and consistency of the recipe is not compromised....

Food was very cold, chicken qty was not proper and kubus was so sosososooo so hard got jaw pain till we finished eating, guys please be lil honest and true to your job what are doing. Street food will be far better than this, you guys have just packed the old food and sent it out just to be delivered in 30 minutes to save your money. Give my money back if you guys have lil be loyalty.

Been there multiple times. Decent food for decent price. Personally loved a lot of dishes. I would stay away from foods that may not be native to their cooking. Will go again.

Vegetarian’s beware!!! <br/>While finding a chicken piece in a vegetarian food itself is not a great sign, imagine sending it back and getting it replaced with another dish and again finding chicken pieces!!! NOT ACCEPTABLE!!!

The Valentines day Buffett was a sham. The entire spread was horrible n nothing tasted good. It was utter waste of Money. Also, one important point to note- they produced a wrong check i.e. instead of 2 plates, they produced a bill for 3 plates n addition to that, some other extra item was added to the bill. When I pointed out them the same, the guy pretended as if he made a mistake (which we could figure out by the way he was behaving). Anyway bad experience!

I ordered two dishes..a chicken curry and the mutton biryani. Ive never had such a polar reaction to the food. While the chicken curry was fantastic, the biryani was an absolute rip off with only bones and not one single actual piece of mutton. Im not sure how to feel but I definitely wont be ordering again.

Loved the food! It was tasty and spicy! With lots of coconut in almost all the dish! If you love Malabar cuisine! This is the place! Loved their chatti choru! Only disappointment was that they didn’t have the tender coconut pudding! The vattalappam is a warm dessert! Gulab jamun was hot too! Falooda was too big!

They started this restaurant professionally. They have become worse especially on Saturday Sunday. Very bad lunch we had today on Saturday. They have designed it according to their choice, not customer choice.  they mixed everything in one platter and gave some fancy name. Very disappointed with this restaurant. The fish they use not typical Kerala fresh fish but inorganically grown. No matter how much you pay its tasteless especially fish. Its pure business, go only if you don't have an option. Avoid if possible.

Asked mayonnaise. But they wont listen and send always what they do. Just robots.

Today i went to this restaurant as our team always try new places for special days, Review looked good but Guys DONT GO - Food no taste, Service is pathetic (Got Main course before finishing Starters and received drink after finishing main course) I dont recommend for Veg guys and Non-Veg stick to regular non-veg dishes dont explode

The food was really bad and never even dare to pick the fish and chips cause he gives only three pieces of fish and few fries which taste really bad and the food was also served cold so I feel it's just a waste of money

I ordered a Mutton Biryani through Zomato from Tawoon Hotel, but the order I receive is Chicken Biryani. I ordered this being hungry and was desperately waiting for the delivery. The delivery was pretty quick as well and I was impressed but on the top bag the bill of Mutton Biryani was stapled but inside the box I see a Chicken Biryani.<br/><br/>After following up with hotel, I got the delivery of Mutton Biryani. But honestly speaking the quantity was way too less and it did not have any temperature at all, it was dead flat at room temperature.<br/><br/>Not happy :-(

The experience was very good for the whole family. The food was extremely delicious starting with traditional kerala chicken soup to Al-faham chicken, mutton curry and finally prawn biriyani. The service is also very good and people are very polite. The ambience is very good as well. Keep up the great job guys!

I have had a very good experience with Taawoon. the food is very good and the ambience is excellent. it's pocket friendly for the variety they spread.the staff Y are very welcoming and all of them have a smiling face. Not to mention but the choice of music is also very calming. One of the main thing I see when eating outside with my family is hygiene and Taawoon has it...it's so clean..I am in love with this restaurant .

This restaurant is a stone away from my home and one of the finest restaurants in Kothanur. I tried the crab soup and seafood platter along with veg platter. The food was good. Seafood platter consisted of three varieties of fish kebabs, mackerel fry and prawn tandoori. Platters are served with naan. Overall,a good one.

A pita bread looks like remianed from someone elses chicken platter. It has red stains of Tandoori chicken that I didn't order. Who knows my shawarma platter is made from other peoples remained kebab.

Service is goddamn slow. Had to wait for 40 mins after ordering! That's really disappointing. Food taste was good though. They served food hot but due to high AC temp, food got cold easily. Two points to note for the restaurant guys: please avoid putting full coriander seeds and cardamon. Its flavour is only required not the entire product in mouth. Please also increase the quantity of raita. It is too less for a biryani.

Taawoon is a newly opened Multicuisine restaurant in Kothanur,Bangalore.They mainly focusing on Seafood and they have live preparation options as the customer can select the fish from their storage and as per the customer requirement they will prepare and make it on the table.Mainly concentrating on Kerala style preparations and yes they do other also .It is a good dine in place for all kind of people .Ambience is adorable and service was top notch.<br/><br/>Started off with  Grilled Fish ,Coco Chicken,Shaapu Chatti curry & Appam. Grilled fish was so good as i can feel the spicy taste and they prepared it well. Coco Chicken is a Signature dish here and that took me to homely feel,chicken curry made with Coconut milk and served inside a Coconut . Shaapu chatti curry was good and it was spicy(apt one). The food is nice and they serve a decent quantity. The service is awesome! The only drawback is very limited veg options. Virtually none in starters.<br/>Tawoon has a restaurant, a buffet zone, a cafe, this review is about the restaurant.

I went with a colleague to this restaurant at lunch time. The place has a nice ambiance.. The service too, was friendly and quick. <br/><br/>I noticed that they have a good variety of sea food and serve Kerala cuisine too. We ordered chicken Kurkure for starters and chicken Chetticurry (which was todi style).<br/>  We also had a healthy mint which was very refreshing.<br/>Starters was bit more on a sweeter side which I personally don't prefer. Over All it was a nice experience but nothing special.<br/><br/>Overall: 3<br/><br/>Ambiance: 4<br/><br/>Food: 3.5<br/><br/>Service: 4

Kerala porotta is very expensive Rs 25 per PC while other place it is 12 rs... Need pricing for all common people

Though food was very tasty , items other than puri bhaji arrived luke warm /cold . Even inspite of asking for hot appam, the seemingly replaced appams were not hot ( the plate was hot though)! . The owner was very open to feedback and humble . We would definitely like to give it another try !

Great to see a multi cuisine restaurant this part of town. They also have a cafe and a banquet hall. The food served here is good. Namely the meals, grilled chicken, biryani and al-faham. Tried all of them and they taste great. Service wise, the treatment given on the top floor is greater than that of the ground floor. I feel service as a whole should be the same. The cafe serves good snacks in the evening that gets over quickly, especially their samosas. Post 6, they serve their shawarmas. I haven't tasted it personally but I hear its good as well. On the whole, this place deserves a 4/5 and I would definetly come back for more food.

If you like Kerala food then this is a good place! I wasn't impressed with other cuisine.

Ordered home fish Kerala meals for lunch. It was authentic, tasty and well prepared. Fresh as well. Loved it. My only complaint is, given that it is a fish meals, the fish curry was very small quantity with a single small fish piece. At 195 Rs approx, it would add value to increase quantity of fish to 2 pieces and more curry.<br/><br/>Update : Ordered fish dishes specifically making sure that they use only kashmiri chilly. Spent 15 mins trying to make sure as my guest has severe allergy issue and cannot intake regular chilli powder. They assured me over the phone only to send dishes with this chilly !!! This caused allergy to flare up. Whats worse is that on following up the manager argued and asked us why we are making such a fuss about this !!! So, if you have any medical concerns DO NOT go to this restaurant, their staff is very poorly trained or informed on anything remotely outside of regular order taking. As for what they claim on their menu, that they serve no MSG or reused oil etc, given their ignorance and attitude about food and food related medical issues, I wouldn't trust them one bit.

Malabar biryani doesnt like it should be the portion v poor....lumps of rice in biryani

Today I been to this restaurant to have some delicious sea food by seeing the reviews.<br/><br/>This place is situated in a standalone building with a nice elevation. The ambience and the stewards are very good. They gave good response. I ordered CHEMBAN NJENDU VARATIYATHU, Prawns and Avoli Tawa Fry, idiyappam and COCO Chicken.<br/>Njendu fry was really good. Prawns was okay.<br/>But, avoli fry was so bad, that the smell of the fish is still in my nostrils. The idiyappam and coco curry was just average.<br/><br/>After eating, i felt this restaurant is overrated. It is just another average restaurant in town.<br/><br/>They have lot to improve. For me it was a disappointment.

Well i visited this resturent to my visit to Bengaluru!<br/>I went there twice one for the breakfast and the other one for dinner! I was really satisfied by the breakfast i had idli,dosa,paratha! It was tasty! But i was little bit dissappointed by the dinner everyting was great except the drums of heaven which smelled not fresh! And the complementary drink was disgusting!
