If you love Paratha's you must visit this place. I have known this place for the past 13 years, they maintain the same quality and taste. And pricing is also very much affordable. Don't miss having lassi after food.

Simply one of the best Student messes in the area. They serve genuine North Indian cuisines. Staff is very responsive and you get served with smiling faces. Very pocket friendly and satiating. Their Sattu Parathas are highlights for me.

Very nice mess with plenty of space, appaji Gowda is a owner who is very nice person, all kind of parota, puri, north meals, juices, lassi, butter milk available, hot hot puri is my favourite, and cost is also very reasonable, one more thing in sabji you'll get dry and wet, (suka and geela) which is very good. Must visit.

Durga mess is one of the best mess around Mathikere, if you want to have home feel , you just try Durga mess. I have my lunch and dinner from there everyday because the vibes there I get is homely and they have got best of parathas in such less cost. The quantity is more that enough and ofcourse they have the best Lime Juice, Butter Milk.
One of the best mess for the ones staying away from home.

Best North Indian Bhojnalaya for Students and BAchelors. One stop point for having Parathas. Value for Money and stumach. Only negative thing is they mixed Potato in every sabji they made. rest everything is Good.

The one of the best place in Mathikere where one can taste home food (Ghar ka Khaana). It may be a cup of tea or meals...all contains a fragnance and taste of home food. the best part its too economical and provides best service. Appaji (the owner of hotel) is one of the nicest person on planet.

I will recommend everyone to taste Durga mess Sunday special meals. if you are not fine with the place as seating area is small You can order or take parcel.

"Happy Fooding"

This place has always been the last resort to any lunch plans. Whenever my wallet is empty and I desperately need something that will fill me up, I come here.
This place is famous for its parathas and lassi. Their parathas are pretty big and the lassi is thick and tasty. Occasionally, I ordered the lime tea.
This place is usually frequented by Ramaiah students. Their seating area is small and severely limited.

Durga mess is a perfect solution for hostelites. I haven't been to the place but have ordered from Durga mess many at times. I usually order roti-sabhzi from here. It comes very economically and fills the tummy. Durga mess has a good delivery option. The food is pretty good too. Durga mess is economical and a pocket friendly place. It fits in perfectly for anyone who is tight on their budget and yet want something home like.

EDIT: Today while driving around, I saw the place. Only thing that bothered me was hygiene. So I decided to warn people who read my review and, who are usually worried about street food hygiene to be extra cautious.

Well ... Finally i see Durga Mess is on Zomato. So its time for a quick review.

A small shop on the viscinity of Mathikere which serves North Indian food. Pretty much the "Ghar ka khana" types. They deal in varieties of parantha and meal which is very popular among the students of Ramaiah college and the bachelors living in and around Mathikere.
I have been here several times and personally i like the sunday special meal which comprises of Puri, fried rice, chhole, raita & sweets. All that for only 50bucks.
Their lassi is good too. All the items in the menu are very cost effective. Here you can eat as much as you want without burning a hole in your pocket.
The dining area is cramped for space so take-aways would not be a bad idea. Dont expect anything fancy here, every item included in the menu is good in taste and total value for money.

Durga mess is not fine place for dining but there are some foods which you will like it.
My First choice is Lassi, it is so think and tasty its way behind to describe.
next one is Lemon juice. Here Lemon juice is little different from Mallu bakery. They use more Lemon juices and more Suger and Super Chilled water. its give really nice relieve in summer.
Another one food I like to tell is Parathas. They have variety of parathas like Muli parathas, Aloo paratha and Gobi. All are really nice to try.
I will not recommend anyone to have there as place is not much cleaned. You can take parcel.
