Review by our Team Ghatotkatcha Ahh!! One place where taste meets health. Nutritious food with right calories. They would not use Maida or sugar here. It's palm sugar and whole wheat. Beautifully conceptualized menu with amazing service. One can begin with a Mushroom Cappuccino, where it's a Mushroom soup with four types of Mushrooms and herbs, it has more of a Shitake flavour. Zucchini soup is something interesting which one cannot miss. After the soup, we get to the toast!! I was messemerized with fresh whole wheat bread and Hummus. The hummus was one of the best I've had in town!! Mushroom Hummus toast is one dish which was close to heart, fresh button mushrooms chopped and spread on the fresh hummus. Chicken Hummus toast is a version of the earlier mushroom toast but with Chicken. When one tried to recollect the Royyala nallakaram, it is mouthwatering again, simply superb prawn tossed with black pepper at the right time with right temperatures. Shrimp cocktail and chickpea cocktail is again a balanced appetizer. How about baked potatoes which are spiced up with red chillies and herbs, perfect for the winter isn't it or anytime. Now, there is this the concept of Balanced plate in jjust one plate. The first one is the most yum Kichdi, which I bet had Paanch phoran along with palak. The best I've had, served with loads of raw veggies, here the lentils take care of proteins, millets take care of carbs, ghee takes fat, veggies give minerals. Similar way, you find green eggs which are egg whites coated with pesto and served with baked potatoes and grilled vegetables. Meat lovers would love the Chicken Thai Curry, authentic and tasty. Steamed Chicken with Shitake mushrooms just looks awesome, chicken is soft with a peppery note. Hebanero grilled chicken was my favourite for the perfect spice and the pesto pasta with it. The grilled veggies accompany every dish. The star of the day was The English Roast Chicken where a whole chicken is baked for two hours, marinated with spices and served with mushrooms and baked potatoes. This is very Christmasy. For Desserts, we have had the best brownies ever!! Maida free, there is orange cheesecake, coffee, raspberry and double chocolate. My pick was the coffee and loved it. Speaking of Coffee, here we find pure Arabica coffee, where even the Cappuccino would give you a kick of filter coffee. Cheers to an excellent coffee.

I'm glad to find this place which serves you healthy as well as delicious food. I was impressed not only with food only but the presentation and the food quantity for the price also. I would highly recommend the mushroom cappuccino, chicken hummus toast and Dal kichdi. They don't fry the food, it's either baked or grilled. They only use butter or olive oil and hence it tastes so good. Their main course has a very huge variety and everything is served perfectly with proper nutritious and all. This place is now in my Go-to-list for sure. Give it a try if you haven't yet.

This cafe is truly different from all the other places. As the name says it all, the balanced plate. A venture of two friends, one who loves to eat food and another who is a Nutritionist. What would happen when both come together? BALANCE! Before getting into the details of food, let me speak about the place and ambience. This cafe is located on a busy street of Banashankari. The cafe can be easily located as it's on the main road. The parking can get challenging, however if you are lucky, you can get it right in front of the cafe. The cafe is a small space that can easily accommodate about 30 people or more. On entering, there is a merchandise wall where you can purchase their fresh sauces, that are without any preservatives. Besides which you can see a huge display of their desserts. Their menu serves all you need from Soups, Salads, starters, main course, balanced plates, desserts, coffee and more. For Salads, I ordered the Roasted pumpkin salad, trust me, this was great. You should not miss it. The salad was so tasty, the in house peanut butter dressing was awesome. For starters I ordered the Hummus with whole wheat pita bread, this was different and the Pita was soft. Still dont know how they made it so soft. For the mains, we wanted to try the Balanced plates, as the plate is served with mix of Carbs and Proteins required. You can choose from veg & non veg option. Along with a accompaniment you want. (Herbed rice / Mash Potato / Pasta / Garlic Bread / Etc) The dishes we tried were the Grilled chicken breast, Peri peri chicken (My personal Favourite), Roast chicken and the Grilled prawns. All the dishes were well balanced, Nothing fried! The plates were colorful and just right for a balanced meal. By the end of our meal, we didnt feel stuffed. We felt light at the same time we were not hungry. For desserts we had Peanut butter brownie (Dont miss this), Chocolate rocks and Lime almond cake. All the desserts were sugar free and had absolute no preservatives. Yet they all tasted well. Lastly dont miss their Bold Cappuccino. It's a must try. The chat with the owners and the Gyan recieved from the Nutritionist was just worth the time spent. I realised how important health is. Eating right can help only help me more. Visit this cafe in Banashankari, and your nutrition needs are sorted. This small cafe in Banashankari offers food which is not only nutritious but also fresh & tasty. From salads to their mains, every dish is packed with the right nutrient requirements. I found out about this place through a friend, and visited here on a weekday for lunch. The mushroom cappuccino & zucchini soup was the best I have had till now. Starters were interesting, of which, hummus with whole wheat pita was a fresh dish to start with. The other starter was baked potatoes with spicy groundnuts, which was over in seconds. Dal khichdi was the best of all dishes i had, something that is a MUST HAVE here. From their Balanced Dishes menu, I ordered for a Chettinad Paneer with Basmati rice & grilled vegetables; fresh paneer with Chettinad spices served with Basmati rice & fresh vegetables. All these were perfectly cooked and spiced. The brownies here were a pure bliss to dessert lovers. Walnut brownies were my favourite among the lot. I did have a bite of orange cheesecake brownies, orange cheesecake & white chocolate raspberry cheesecake as well. MUST HAVE DISHES HERE: Balanced plates, mushroom cappuccino, chickpeas cocktail, brownies. Do order from Zomato, Swiggy & Dunzo as well. An overall 5 on 5 for this place.

This cute little cafe serves the most scrumptious dishes that are both healthy and tasty. The place has a very rejuvenating vibe to it.🍀 Having both, a grassy outdoor seating and a classy indoor seating, the ambience hits its peak with artistically painted walls, swings, book shelves and health hacks painted all along.😍 The food there is a perfect balance of nutrition and taste. 😋I had ordered the Mushroom Cappuccino.☕ It was a rich and creamy concoction of three different mushrooms, Shiitake, Porcini & Button mushrooms.🍄 Next up, their baked potatoes were topped with crunchy and spicy Congress Peanuts, that took the dish to another level.🥔 A must try on their menu is their Dal Khichdi. This simple dish is served here with an absolute gourmet twist. You'll keep asking for more!😇 One of my personal favourite was the Chermoula baked fish served with creamy Penne pasta & grilled vegetables. The fish was tender and perfectly cooked.🐟 Each bite is a blast of flavour in itself.😍 The creamy pasta perfectly compliments the fish, though you can choose from an ocean of options to source your carbohydrates.🍥 Coming to the desserts, the chocochip brownies were a delight. These brownies are made without refined sugar. So are their Icecreams. I had the Filter Kaapi and Lemongrass icecream. Both were a treat for any one with a sweet tooth.🍨 So next time you are looking for some healthy meal options which are delicious too, drop by The Balanced Plate Cafe and be ready for a feast!😋

Many players have entered the restaurant business with the promise of providing healthy and tasty food but only a few of them have really done justice to it. The Balanced Plate Café definitely fulfils all of the expectations that come with trying out tasty and healthy gourmet foods. This place follows a philosophy that all foods in right proportion provide benefits. They serve nutritious dishes prepared with high quality ingredients, suited to all kinds of eating habits. At every "Balanced Plate", you can find a small portion of protein, healthy carbs and veggies put together. Coming to the ambience, the place looks quite nice. It has a seating space which can accommodate 40-45 people. Furthermore, the service was quite good. The staff members were very courteous and well behaved. Lastly, the food and the drinks were amazing. Whatever we had tried was top notch. They make everything fresh but it's totally worth the wait. The dishes I'd like to recommend are: Mushroom Cappuccino with Shitake Mushrooms Chicken Satay Dal Khichdi Chettinad Egg Curry with Herbed Rice Chermoula Baked Fish Parmesan Crusted Chicken with Quinoa and Olive Rice Orange Cheesecake Brownie TOTALLY RECOMMENDED! Definitely one of the stars in the "healthy restaurants" segment!

The Balanced Plate Café is a small place with around 8-10 tables. The whole idea of this place is to serve people with a BALANCED meal. This includes carbs, fats, nutrition, protein n fibre. Everything here is fresh, clean and healthy yet tasty. Not often do you see people enjoying a healthy meal, but, I can surely say I was very happy 😃 Also, considering all the freshness and the fact that preparation starts only from the time u order, be patient n expect a wait time. Pros: Mint cooler Mushroom Cappuccino Shrimp Mexican hot pot Chicken and Mushroom Hummus Toasts Pita bread with hummus Baked potato Chicken Pepper Roast Chicken Satay Dal Kichidi Grilled Chicken (Tandoori style) Balanced plate The fish Balanced Plate Orange Brownie Cons: Chaap Hot chocolate (wasn’t thick as expected)

Balanced plate cafe is a newly opened cafe serving healthy and balanced food for millennials to lead a healthier lifestyle ❤️ As you enter the corridor, you see that it's a nice a cozy place with a small outdoor seating too and once you are seated and have a look at the menu your realize the amazing food you get to try while not feeling guilty First up I tried their prawn cocktail and mushroom soup and it was the greatest find of the year❤️ it was too good!! I can slurp it all day🤤 Moving on to shorteats, I had tried chicken hummus toast, soya karivepaku vepudu, chicken pepper roast, chicken Satay and whole-wheat pita bread with fresh hummus and everything tasted extraordinary ❤️ with every bite you can feel the freshness of the ingredients 🤤 Moving on to the stars of the day, The balanced plates! I had tried various plates of theirs and my personal favorite was the chettinad egg curry with veggie rice and the Parmesan chicken with quinoa and olive rice❤️ I can still feel the taste.. The owner of this place Mr.Kalyan Gopalakrishna shared his love for food and explained the thought behind this cafe. Thanks for breaking the myth that healthy food cannot be tasty or appetizing ❤️ Overall the best food I have had in the neighborhood and will visit this place soon again ❤️

Amazingly tasty food. Even the veggies tasted so fresh. Coffee is amazing and to die for. We had the roast chicken plate, steamed chicken plate and the grilled prawns (for starter) apart from coffees. Everything is freshly cooked after order and tastes it. Had the plain brownie and orange cheese cake brownie. So yummy. Very strongly recommended.

The Balanced Plate Café New venture by Kalyan. I couldn't resist going to his place knowing his penchant for fine food. The menu is really fitting with a balance of meat and veggies. Was very interested in the secret ingredients that went into making the pasta sauce considering refined flour is not used at all for the thick consistency. My son is a connoisseur when it comes to Pasta and not all pastas satisfies him. This he lapped it up so yes I will definitely sign off the pasta. The menu clearly states the balanced plate options as well as sold separately as a dish by itself. This I thought was a good idea in case one doesn't want the complete dish. The portions though are perfect for a single person. The roasted pumpkin salad with feta was a lovely start and though I am not a pumpkin person I had this with gusto. Had the steamed chicken with veggies and mash - Lovely fall of the bone and rightly spiced. I am more of a red meat person but I would make this an exception The butter garlic prawns with the rice and veggie combination was made exceptionally well. For those who love prawns, dont miss it. The khichdi was lovely and had a great homely taste. The chicken leg was ordered separately and is not part of the khichdi. The Cafe Brownie Bomb was really Da Bomb, Just like drinking a brownie. Will be loved by the kids and those with a sweet tooth. It's thick and it's rich, The orange cheesecake brownie was different and loved the subtle orange hints in there. Some really great food here. The ambience is fun with books and games to keep your kids occupied too.
