Review The Urban Turban - Bengaluru

We got this recommendation on a Reddit thread and they said this is one of authentic North Indian dhaba style restaurant. At first the decor and the lights and seating is maybe slightly unusual but my friend and I enjoyed the weird tyre chairs and drew and with a wooden board for sitting. We ordered a lot of veg items than non veg and we realised the the Jon veg is a bit and a miss and not great. Veg : we tried the urban turban stuffed paneer tikka and it was the highlight of the evening it was super delicious. Naan, kulchas, paneer curry dishes and the dal Lakhan’s was absolutely delicious. Non veg: the chicken patiala had a weird indo Chinese taste and was very bad. Chicken starters were average nothing too great. We didn’t go for any curries given the starters and the patiala was a flop Beverages : masala coke is refreshing and the buttermilk is yummy We went during the World Cup so they had these really fun cricket players placards in the entrance. Also they play loud punjabi music hits so it’s kinda fun!

Best place for Dinner. Ambience is great. Parking is available. Nice place to hang out with friends and family.

I miss the authentic highway Punjabi dhabas which re there in my hometown in Bengal. Searching for a that sort of Highway Punjabi dhaba I found The Urban Turban . This place is a exactly like a typical highway Punjabi dhaba. It’s situated far away in Sarjapur road . The place has 3 vast seating areas. One of the seating areas has khatiyas like how you have in local highway dhabas. We chose table-chair seating options. The ambience of this place is full with 90s retro feel which is absolutely awesome. The decor is such that you will be transported to a village eatery which is large. The place is airy , and kids do have a lot of space to run around. The menu consists of all those by-default punjabi dhaba menu food items. The food items were all good. They do freshly prepare tandoori , kababs, and most of their food items. Alcoholic drinks are also served here on the table. They don’t have a bar counter. This is essentially a family restaurant with Dhaba style getup. Go to this hotel for good food and ambience. This is not a fine dining restaurant. I have seen some performance stage and areas. Probably they are used for live band performances. They have a small and clean handwash basin. They also have separate washroom areas for men and women. The washroom cleanliness is decent .

Beautiful place for authentic North Indian food. Tasty food, polite staff and beautiful songs of Kishore da...what else is needed for a memorable birthday dinner of my love. Perfect place for your family and loving pet.

Chicken dum kebab was awesome. Was served in earthen pot and was creamy . The place has parking space . You can sing on karaoke too .

Dhaba with a twist. Comfortable seating, great food and ambience. Off road parking, well appointed, outdoor seating and nostalgic music. You can take your own drinks in or the waiters will get it for you from a nearby MRP. High Point is the chef and ambience. Things to improve: Waiters are nonchalant and cleanliness is disappointing. Music is too loud. Significant mosquito menace. Food waste is drained to nearby open ground which creates foul smell during hot days.

Good. Open place to be here. Lots of Punjabi food options. Non veg you must try Ahuna chicken. Have naan or roti with butter. Good options in veg as well. Try paneer lababdar. We asked them to make it less spicy and thats what we got. Great food. Good service.

So today we went to Urban Turban to celebrate our 6 months wedding anniversary and trust me when I say this, this place is worth the money!! The staffs were very warm and welcoming, the ambience was great along with the Christmas and New Year vibes, the food was too delicious and the seating was also comfortable. They had khatiya and chairs also for people to choose from. We had Chicken Afghani kebab and Masala papad for starters, Ahuna Mutton and laccha paratha for main course and Jaljeera and Buttermilk for drinks. We were two people and the bill costed us 1200/- which is very much deserving for!! I would suggest you to visit at least once. You can go as couple/friends/family!! You get drinks too but that is off the menu so ask upfront if you want!!!! P.S- It’s a pet friendly place 😌

Usually its ok,but on fastival/ occasionally they doing good,its near by to my location so preferred... Visited already twice, planning next. Food is amazing. Ambience is soothing. Find it absolutely the best place for family and friends. Very friendly staff. Highly recommended.

I love this place because of it's ambience, music, and the vibes.. Tasty food, love the Punjabi style of dhaba.. Now the sitting arrangement is changed so it's not having the khatiya based sitting which we enjoyed a lot before.. Anyday, when in doubt we go to this place.. Good for arranging parties with family and friends.. Should keep more options in liquor beverage.. All is great with this place 😊🤩

Only issue was the washroom hygiene. Otherwise this place is a hidden gem in Sarjapur. Its dhaba style atmosphere and delicious food is really very nice.

Visited this place for dinner… ambience is very good… quality & taste is also good… service is on the slower side especially during week ends since crowd will be high… overall good experience
