Food here is amazing. Good food and good taste. Masala dosa and uddin Vada is worth it. I would suggest to book your table by calling their number to avoid standing in queue.

One of the most glorified and visited eateries in Bangalore. This is my all-time favourite place to go for Masale Dose. They have been maintaining such high standards for many decades. The new token system gives an advantage for visitors to use their times wisely. Thank you for maintaining the cleanliness irrespective of the volume of crowd that you get every single day.

This is one of the oldest restaurants in Namma Basavanagudi, The Hotel is unmissable , it is right in the heart of Gandhi Bazaar . THE Restaurant is clean , it gives you the old Bangalore vintage feeling. The Nostalgia is euphoric. You cannot miss the Yummmmmyyyyy Benne Masala Dose here served with Chatni. The Menu is limited but every food item on the menu is carefully cooked and served to the Customer. The place Ambience is good .Uppit,Rave Vada, Normal Vada, Kesari bath are available on the menu . The coffee is good . Sagu Masala dosa is available only in the morning, Don't miss to taste the hot hot Mangalore Kashaya here

I always wanted to visit this hyped place. I had a fantastic experience here at this typical Bengaluru's oldest restaurant. The ambience captures the essence of the city's bustling food scene. Whether you're a local or visitor, i recommend this restaurant for a taste of Bangalore' charm.

I would say, worth the hype. Everything was delicious 🤤 you have to wait for around 1/2hr for your turn but it’s worth of waiting for that time. It’s there from last 80years and they are serving from last 3 generations. Table could have been more spacious but as per the crowd you can’t really expect that to be spacious. Must visit and yes 100 times better than the overhyped Rameshwaram Cafe.

Vidyarthi Bhavan in Bangalore is a true gem when it comes to delicious South Indian cuisine. I highly recommend trying their masala dosa and idli, which are simply out of this world. The dosa is perfectly crispy on the outside and soft from inside, and the masala was also very tasty. The idli, on the other hand, is soft and fluffy, making it an absolute delight to savor. Filter Coffee was strong, aromatic. It provided a much-needed boost of energy and was the ideal accompaniment to the delectable food. What makes Vidyarthi Bhavan even more special is its rich history. Established in 1943, this restaurant has stood the test of time and continues to attract food lovers from all walks of life. Stepping into this old-world eatery feels like taking a trip back in time, and the ambiance adds to the overall charm of the place. The staff at Vidyarthi Bhavan is friendly and attentive, ensuring that your dining experience is nothing short of exceptional. Overall, Vidyarthi Bhavan is a must-visit food outlet in Bangalore, especially if you're a fan of authentic South Indian cuisine. With its tasty food, strong filter coffee, and rich history, this restaurant offers a truly memorable dining experience.

It was my long day wishlist to visit this place. I tried their benne masala dose and kesari bath. Both the things was good. Especially the Kesari bath was amazing with the lite sugar level! You guys can try these both.

The OG and one of the best places for traditional breakfast. We went quite early as its very busy and difficult to get a table without waiting. Got a table quickly as was there by 6.30am. The place as the old school charm and feel. They take your order quickly and food is served quickly too. Had the masale dose and it was amazing. The chutney is so delicious, one of the best you will get in the city. Also had the Vada with sambar and it was very nice too. The sambar had slightly more sweetness to it then desired. The kesari bhat was yumm too. Perfect to end the meal. Portion sizes are good and pricing is quite reasonable. Once the crowd starts building up outside, you will quickly given and encouraged to vacant the tables as soon as you finish. Atmosphere - 5/5 Service - 4.5/5 Food Quality/ Presentation - 5/5 Taste - 5/5 Portion size - 4.5/5 Value for money - 5/5

It's an authentic south Indian restaurant which serves idli vada, uppitt, kesaribhat, Dosa, poori. coffee. Everything was the best. Yummy yummier yummiest. Tats the reason it's so popular in the vicinity. Usually it'll be crowded. But they have maintained very well with a token system. U may have to wait for 10-15 mins of time. It is not a luxurious restaurant but it's classy. Old patterned seating, simple steel cutlery used . Overall I loved this restaurant. Must try if u r at Bengaluru

I liked this environment and food. My favourite is masala dose and coffee. Nice photo frames on walls. During weekends better to call their number and book the table on advance.

This is a very ancient South Indian joint in Bangalore. It’s known for its masala dosa which is nothing like what we have in north India. For those who love to experiment with their food and are okay with newer experiences it’s a must visit. The vibe of the place is very basic and one must come in early in the morning else they will go out of stock. The place is always overcrowded and one has to eat and leave. It’s not a place where you can sit for hours because the waiting line is huge.

A good experience in terms of the legacy and the culture that has lasted over 80 years. The service however wasn't great with the waiter not receptive and not understanding at all. The food was pretty good, especially the benne masal dosa. Poori sagu, idli, vada sambar I felt were kind of decent. The coffee was good. Overall a good experience!

Its one of the oldest eatery in Gandhi market. Since years they have limited yet their own special menu. Food quantity is such that you can taste couple of things at a time. I didn't really like Rava vada which is Jain food option, others might like it though. Coffee was a bit strong for me, Service is good

Visited this iconic eatery on Karnataka Rajyotsava day and it was Jam packed. The staff there informed we'll need to wait about 45 mins to 1 hour to get a table. To their credit they follow a coupon system and allocate tables according to the coupon number. So I took my coupon and waited patiently. The wait was long but fine since seating area was present and the entire process is extremely organised and seamless, just be present when your coupon number is called out. Finally we got a table and we ordered the inconic benne masale dose (butter masala dosa) along with Kesari bhat and idli/vada. Service is quite quick and our items arrived at the table in no time. The Kesari bhat had a nice traditional taste to it. Idli and vada also tasted delicious. The dose was the best of the lot and was one of the better dosas that I've ever had. This place is extremely affordable and light on the pocket and all the dishes are reasonably priced. This place is a definite must visit to enjoy some crispy yummy dosas in an old school traditional manner.
