Review No.10 Fort Cochin - Bengaluru

Serves Kerala type food especially Sadhya. Fish varieties are good with an option to choose from different types of fishes on display. Ambience is ok but the staff needs some serious grooming. Service is always slow irrespective of rush and quite annoying. It may not be a good experience for some one without inclination to Kerala recipes.

Tasty food hygenically prepared ,courteous staff and acceptable pricing. The restaurant is easy to locate from the main road and very easy to access also. The flight of steps is a small hurdle for aged people though. Sea food is the highlight in the menu and availability is always depending on the days catch. please expect a slight delay in services while all seats are taken but the wait is always worth when the dishes are served in delicious flavours. Parking may be an issue if u plan to drive down on your own.

Fantabulous experience of dining here. The ambience is excellent and worth giving your taste buds the authentic taste of sea food. The romantic karaoke of famous numbers add life to the already wonderful place. Must visit for the real taste of Kerala! The hospitality is warm and friendly

Turned up here on a lazy Saturday evening with a friend of mine to try out a few new additions to the menu. Have heard a lot about the outlet in St.Mark's Road and ever since they opened doors in Residency Road an year ago, been waiting to try them out and finally got the chance yesterday. Coming to the location, the place is ideally located in the busy and bustling Residency Road, next to Communiti and Meghna Biryani. Easy to locate, and the ambience is quite nice and welcoming. Since the place is famous for it's seafood dishes, we decided to start out with the Koonthal Porichathu(Rs.280) which was masala coated fried Squid. It was well made, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, proved to be a good starter. Then we tried the Beef Dry Fry and the Beef fry, because I believe we can judge a Kerala cuisine place by the authenticity and quality of its beef dishes ๐Ÿ˜And going by that scale, I'd give this place full marks ๐Ÿ˜ฌ The beef fry had a significant flavor of pepper and reminded me of those iterations we get back home. Beef dry fry was phenomenal and the fried onions and the marination just added to the oomph factor. Beware though, the dish is spicy, but the spice just adds to the wow factor and elevates the dish to the next level. The house special Chicken Tawa fry(Rs.250) which was our next order was also super yumm, juicy chicken pieces coated in their special marination. Apart from these, we tried out their Fish Chatti curry which was basically White pomfret Fish molee and appams, and the Prawns Ghee roast(Rs.370). The ghee roast tasted authentic and did justice to that style of preparation. The fish molee, I personally felt, could be better, with the gravy being not so thick and the fish flavor standing out a bit. Managed to squeeze in a Sambharam also in between, which actually is Kerala style spiced buttermilk, and it was refreshing. Ended the meal with a hot Sulaimani which was quite the ending punch, and had that Mohabbat(mandatory Ustad Hotel reference ๐Ÿ˜) The service at the place was quick and attentive, and the manager Mr.Anson was kind enough to take us through the whole menu and made sure we had a good time. In all, we had a really good time here, and would definitely be back to try out more from the menu, and for the price point, this is a very good option to try out for authentic Kerala dishes in the area.

Great tasting food if you like kerala cuisine. Vegetarian meals and seafood combination is hard to beat. Would be five stars if the place was not so busy with only two waiters

Exceptional seafood with authentic, exotic South Indian Malayalee flavor. We had prawns, crab, neetholi/Kozhuva fry. All of them were very fresh and delicious. I would come back again and will recommend the place to everyone who enjoys seafood. Staff is very friendly and courteous. Prices are extremely reasonable.

I got a chance to visit no.10 fort Cochin, at residency road, yeah.. its true that they serve best seafoods in Bangalore. Squid Porichathu, one of my favourite starters, was crispy in outside with soft and juicy inner magic. Fort Cochin special kozhi tawa fry, tender pieces of chicken with different types of spices .. that was great . They don't have beef dishes in menu but they serve absolutely amazing beef dishes for dining. Beef dry fry was outstanding but Beef fry was beyond that, it's a highly recommend dish. white pomfret chatty curry was good and Its a good option for people who prefer less spicy food. finally prawns Ghee Roast, must try dish for all seafood lovers.. I loved the place. Good ambience with amazing hospitality. soft music makes the place more peaceful!! One of the best seafoods Restaurants in Bangalore. They have two outlets in Bangalore, at st marks road and residency road. will visit again for sure.!

Food was v nice at the place, but bad service. Only 2 attendants looking into all the tables. The plaintain leaf was not available for sadya which was disappointing. Biryani was v nice though I received it v late after many follow ups. Hopefully they will improve the service next time.
