The best place for Andhra meals and Andhra style biriyanis. Not very spicy as usual. The meat was perfectly cooked. Also tried the chicken Pottalam porotta which was great.

Good place for Andhra meals. My folks like the place. Limited parking available, and street side parking is of help.

Visited here for lunch on a weekend. Firstly, the ambience - very neat, soothing, silent. It gives good vibes. The service is absolutely amazing. Extremely kind staff, they make you feel at home. Coming to the food, we tried the mutton biryani and pepper chicken. Absolutely brilliant. The quantity, spices, price.. perfect. Zero complaints. I would definitely recommend the mutton biryani here. You also get goli sodas here which are flavoured. Will definitely visit this place again. 2nd visit: Tried the parotta, chicken curry - liked this. Chicken curry was brilliant (not sure which one in the menu exactly) Chilly parotta - it's more like a Chinese style dish, some might like it and some might not. Anjal fish fry - Too good! Cooked to perfection but was really expensive. Desserts: Elaneer payasam and coconut pudding: Please don't miss this! Must try desserts!

One of the best places for South Indian non-vegg food at Bangalore. Good ambience, quick & humble service, and great food. Non-vegg lovers will love this place. We tried a bunch of varieties and everything is a delight. Appam, Dosa, parota, chicken ghee roast, biryani, and all their specials. Awesome experience and loved every bit of it. Do try out their goli soda, you will love them.

Was extremely tempted by the post by Tariq Sait on Sampurna Restaurant in a Facebook foodie group, and wanted to try them out immediately. While Tariq was highly in praise of their Tamil Nadu style non-vegetarian options, being a vegetarian that day, I simply planned to order their Andra Meal for one. Priced at ₹200 with a deliver charge of ₹95, me and wifey decided to share a single person meal. It was sufficient, except the rice fell short for the two of us. The meal came neatly packed, spill proof and neat, and contained Three Pachadi / Chutneys {Gongura, Kakarakaya / Bitter gourd, Another vegetable based one} Pappula Podi & Ghee Palakoora Pappu / Spinach Dal Vegetable Fry / Poriyal Sambar Rasam Curd Sweet Pongal White Rice Papad The Pachadis were absolutely delicious, proper Andhra flavours, especially that slightly sweet and mildly bitter kakrakaya Pachadi. The Pappu was delicious, nicely flavoured and tempered perfectly, the sambar and Charu / Rasam were beautifully yumm, the curd was thick and creamy, just what you would expect from a good Andhra meal. A few recommendations below, though for the price point offered it’s a great deal #apjprecommends I personally would have preferred a fry like a Veppudu instead of the Poriyal, and an avakaya mango pickle. The tanginess on the dishes were well balanced, though I would have preferred the Pachadis to be a bit more tangy sour. The sweet Pongal was ok, it had an overload of cloves, which could have been less & the rice cooked a little more. While I can’t wait to try out their non-vegetarian mains, do try Sampurna and share your experience

This restaurant should be ranked #1 so far as south indian food is concerned. I was amazed at the unique way of hospitality showered on the customers here. Individual care is taken to ensure that all customers are fully satisfied and taste all the variety available here. On the whole, the ambience, supremacy of the quality of each and every ingredient that go into the making of the dishes, the way the food is served, all make you feel that you are on the top of the world.

Sampurna - the name itself says it all..! This is a must try restraunt to make your day SAMPURNA (complete)♥️ A wide entrance with sufficient amount of parking space leads to an semi open waiting area. Sampurna has equal amount of dishes for vegetarians and non vegetarians. That's the best part of it. The restraunt has a pleasing ambience. The food is amazing here and I'm personally a fan of this♥️ we started with a mint refresher as a welcome drink and the bendi fry with the special curd they prepare was yum. Starters were good in paneer, chicken and mutton keema balls. The main course is mouth watering. Ottu shavige and soft idlis are served with chicken and fish curry's which blends perfectly 🍛 Fish fry's are cooked seasonally with an affordable price and they were cooked really well. The spices was spread perfectly all over. In vegetarian they have Parottas, idlis and shavige with south indian spicy curries. The best part are the desserts..! I fall in love with them everytime it crosses my mind✨ The coconut mousse is the best here♥️ They prepare this cold payasam with the malai of the coconut which is served in an earthen pot. Mmmmm😋 That ends the description of the place Sampurna. My mouth is watering already🤤 So I personally suggest this restraunt for everyone out there and give it a try..

This place has really friendly staff and definitely will remind you of your roots. Starting of with the appetizers, I would definitely recommend the mutton and jackfruit kheema balls, and if you have a good tolerance for spice then the Andra chilly chicken is definitely going to be your favourite. The mains that I personally liked is the special non veg meals and the biriyani! Both of which were cooked perfectly and the pappu is definitely worth every bite. The mutton and chicken biriyani was made in an authentic Dindigul style, definitely a first in Bangalore. Absolutely loved the whole experience of this place.

Sampurna is one of the most authentic South Indian restaurants that I have personally been to. I think their food speaks for itself. The ambiance is very cozy and a perfect place to get your family for over lunch or dinner. They have an elaborate South Indian menu from their starters to main course. For starters- Chicken ghee roast and paneer ghee roast : Sampurna gives equal importance to vegetarian food and their take on the classic ghee roast but with paneer was mind blowing. Andhra chilli chicken : This classic andhra dish was well made with the right amount of spice. Curry leaf chicken : This was an interesting starter and the curry leaf flavour really brought out the best taste. This was my favourite starter. Their fish starters are extremely reasonable and the bangude fish masala fry was the best of the lot. Main course: Kongunadu chicken curry with idli : This was hands down the best South Indian combination I have ever had. The chicken curry was just out of the world and the idli with the curry took it to another level. Pepper chicken curry with parota: This was another combination I loved. The curry was cooked perfectly and the pepper wasn’t overpowering the curry. Sampurna pottalam biryani : chicken/mutton Biryani is cooked in a banana leaf which really brings out the aromatic flavours of the biryani. A definite must try . Last but not the least elaneer payasam was the lightest dessert to soothe your stomach after such a lovely meal. The payasam was made beautifully which brought out the rich flavours of coconut. They also use palm sugar which makes it naturally sweet. Overall I had a great time here experiencing the true South Indian flavours.

A new entrant in the genre of Andhra Cuisine and Coastal delicacies from Southern India-Sampurna, the House of Southern flavors is located in the busy neighborhood of Cambridge Road at the heart of Bangalore. The bright lights and the festive setup of the building is one of the primary highlights in the area making it virtually impossible to miss for any passers-by. As you enter the premises, the restaurant is divided into 2 floors-the family dining at the first floor and a regular dining area on the ground floor. The décor is traditional chic and borderlines minimalism with an ethnic touch to every corner. I sat on the first floor overlooking the courtyard of the building and enjoyed my traditional Andhra delicacies in due courses. I started with the Cauliflower 65 and the Paneer Ghee Roast, both of which were exceptionally well seasoned and mildly spiced to make sure the flavors do not hit your taste buds in one go. The build up of the flavors from mild to intense is an art that very few Andhra restaurants believe in and hence the use of Chilies is moderated here to attain this aspect of the cuisine. Andhra cuisine is all about flavors and aroma, and not just hot chilly -This is something that is very well mastered at Sampurna making it stand out from other eateries in the genre. Our Non vegetarian galore started with the very promising looking Prawn Pepper Fry followed by a very generous portion of the Chicken Ghee Roast, Andhra Chilli Chicken and the unforgettable Mutton Kheema Balls. The flavors in the Mutton Kheema Ball was so unique and yet statement worthy without being loud on the tats buds, it deserves a special mention in this regard. But the dish of the evening was undoubtedly the Crispy Gunpowder Okra, one of their specials with curd which made me crave for a few servings more. Try it with anything-as a snack, as an apetizer or even with a sandwich and some hot coffee-this dish is sure to win your hearts with its universal appeal on your taste buds. The Mains poured in with the Fish Moilee, a traditional Mangalorean curry served with hot Appams which complimented the dish in every way. This was followed by the house favourite-Dindikul Mutton Biryani with spices imported from Dindikul, Tamil Nadu to acquire the unique and subtle flavor of the Biryani. Unlike other Andhra biryanis which are almost bitter owing to the generous use of black pepper, this is one dish which will make you come back to Sampurna time and time again. As already mentioned, it is all about flavours and not numbing your taste buds with hot chilly which some Andhra restaurants believe in. I was very satisfied to have experienced such a unique restaurant where authenticity and aroma of the dishes are prioritized over popular choices. For Dessert, I had another special from Sampurna-The Coconut Souffle served in a tender coconut to make it more palatable with. The most sinful of the dishes tasted this evening, this is definitely going to be popular with their customers in the coming months. Sampurna is open for Lunch and Dinner and also has set Thali meals with different options to choose from. Drop by to experience authentic Andhra cuisine in the Central Business District of namma Bengaluru.
