Food is absolutely flavourful. Its a nice boutique styled restaurant with Kashmiri items on display.
The only thing which requires improvement is service.
Service is little slow, we had to ask the waiters couple of times to get us menu or to give order.
Food was served comparatively faster though,
I don’t think many people know about this place, as on a weekend afternoon it was not too crowded.
So its good place to have lunch or dinner with family peaceful.
All in all
Loved the food here, will come again
I had the pleasure of dining at this Kashmiri restaurant and I must say, it was a delightful experience. The mutton and chicken dishes were the highlights of the meal. The flavors were rich and authentic, truly reflecting the essence of Kashmiri cuisine. The tender mutton melted in my mouth, and the chicken was perfectly seasoned, leaving a lingering taste of spices that was simply fantastic!!🤤
What truly elevated the experience was the Kashmiri ambiance. The traditional artwork, vibrant colors, and the soothing music in the background all contributed to creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. It felt like a little piece of Kashmir right in the heart of Bengaluru. The service was attentive and friendly, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. 😊
I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to savor the authentic flavors of Kashmir! 😋
Really loved the ambience and the food. Authentic Kashmiri songs, tasty food and a vast showcase of Kashmiri art and craft.
Prices of the dishes are at a higher end, but could be because of the ambience they offer.
One can also buy Kashmiri Shawls, ornaments and many other items from the inhouse store.
Parking facility is limited to a few cars, but ample public parking facility is available outside the restaurant.
I had a pleasant experience at this restaurant. The ambiance is excellent, creating a nice atmosphere. I appreciated the warm welcome tradition that added a personal touch to the visit. While the prices are a bit on the higher side, the overall experience, including the impressive setting, justifies the cost.
One small aspect to note is that they didn't offer hot water, providing Bisleri instead. Despite this, the overall dining experience was positive, and the staff's hospitality contributed to a good visit. If you're willing to indulge a bit, this restaurant is worth considering for its overall enjoyable environment.
A one of its kind place located in the quite neighbourhood of inner circle, Whitefield. The ambience is awesome and they’ve put in a lot of efforts to showcase the Kashmiri culture, and it shows.
Food, particularly the bread items were lip smacking although the quantity seemed a bit less for the price they’re charging.
Ample parking space within and outside their premises. It’s a must visit place nonetheless.
Wonderful place with rich, warm vibes straight from Kashmir. Their lighting, seating arrangement, and decor felt authentic and done from the heart.
Coming to the food, it’s an experience in itself. We ordered the large thaal suitable for 3-4 people and loved the variety at offer. The servers were knowledgeable and helped with the menu selection instead of over selling which is always a plus in my book. Definitely recommend.
The ambience and experience is a 5 star, no doubt about that but they lack on the food side. Taste was just about OK and also the price in comparison to the quantity they serve, was too high! But if you want to experience something exotic, like a vibe of Kashmir in Bangalore, you can give it a try…
Went there for lunch with high expectations bcz of good reviews but firstly there was no one at reception and hardly I saw any staff there. Staff were not prompt enough to ask. But apart from that we like the food. Note: if you are a vegetarian please avoid this place. But for non-vegetarians, food will be worth trying. Especially mutton dishes. Food is very pricy but the quatity was less. The ambiance was good and overall it was worth it.
It felt really authentic. The food was amazing, and the place was filled with souvenirs of Kashmir, with Kashmiri music playing in the background.
The first thing that strikes you about Habba Kaddal is the amount of care and attention to detail that has been taken to recreate the ambience of a traditional Kashmiri house; from the wonderful carvings of hindu gods and goddesses to the lovely antiques, to the lovely themed rooms with beautiful wooden furniture, to the beautiful traditional serving dishes. The ambiance is absolutely amazing and worth a visit just for itself. The owner is a Kasmiri pandit herself and her personal touch can be seen all over the place. Make sure you have plenty of space on your phone for pics 😀
Coming to the food, some of the best ive had in recent years. The wazwaan dishes are the highlights here, especially the rista, yakni, gustaba and Rogan Josh. Special mention to the Kabargah Bemisaal which was absolutely fantastic. Great quality mutton cooked to absolute perfection! And the Kasmiri dum aloo which was sooo good. I'd recommend getting the bread basket because it has different types of traditional Kashmiri breads which were really great. For the dessert I'd definitely recommend the Shufta which was delicious.
Coming to the service, we had a great experience! We went for my mother's birthday and special mention to the staff and the Manager who went above and beyond and had prepared a surprise cake cutting for us as well. They were super friendly and approachable and really made it a memorable occasion for us.
As someone hailing from J&k who's had Kashmiri food quite a bit, I'd wholeheartedly recommend this place for a warm and authentic Kashmiri food experience.
Immersive experience. Everything is thoughtfully curated. You can sit at a table or on sofas or on gaddas on the ground. The food is simply amazing. Succulent pieces melt in your mouth. The bread basket alone is like nothing I’d tasted. While the thali seems a good starting point for the first visit, the next time around you’ll surely pick a series - there are many.
The owners are so involved, and staff is excellent. Watchful, delighted to serve, confident, great sense of humor.
Highly recommended.
Great ambiance. The taste of the food is awesome. We tried a nonveg kabab platter, Mutton Rogan Josh, Bread basket, Kashmiri Chicken pulao. Each and every item was cooked well and had great taste. The ambiance is also great. They also sell handicrafts( at a high price).
The initial service experience was poor. There was no one to attend the customer. After order service was good.
Nice ambience. They've indulge a lot in interiors. It seems to be a large bungalow converted into restaurant. Each nook and corner is beautifully decorated with pictures, paintings, handicrafts, antiques from Kashmir. Owner is a Kashmiri and have Properties in Ooty and other places as well. Service is good. Very courteous staff. Food is okay. I had Nadur Yakhni with Girda (Kashmiri Roti). And Dahi kaɓabs.
Authentic kashmiri cuisine. The food and service was really good. Above all, the ambience was so traditional. They welcomed us with proper tradition.multiple rooms to dine in. The best room was the one with sofa.really amazing.
Food ordered:
_------------
Assorted bread basket
Mutton roghan josh
Kabargah besmial(starter)
Kashmiri chicken pulao
Shufta(dessert)
It is quite expensive.. everything rounded to rs.2333.but worth
Car parking space for 5-6 cars.
The place also offers crafts and kashmiri shawls/sarees for purchase from craftsbazaar
Off beat experience from those barbeque nation or alike buffets. The ambience is very nice and they have tried to give a touch of Kashmir. Also Hindu gods sculptures are also maintained in different parts. The manager is a gem of a person who went beyond duty when my daughter got hurt from furniture. Food is extremely tasty. Chicken pulao and mutton Rogan Josh is a must try. They take a long time to serve so orders should be given asap :)
Lovely kashmiri ambience and delicious food. The moment you set foot inside it'll remind you of the kashmiri vibe be it in the ambience or through the taste of cuisines that it has to offer. A must visit 😁
Authentic Kashmiri food in Bengaluru (I think the only heritage restaurant in the city).
Taste and Ambience is great. Price is a bit on the higher side, esp. the Thalis considering the quantity.
It's a must visit!
Good authentic food. Quite restaurant with both floor mattress seating and table seating options! Staff was cordial to explain regarding the name and food choices also helped with recommendations as per taste!
Habba Kadal is an authentic kashmiri restaurant in Whitefield. The music, ambience and atmosphere transports you to beautiful Kashmir. Since I had lived in Kashmir for a while in my childhood, it really made me nostalgic. There's car parking available but only a few cars can be parked. If that's full, vehicles might have to be parked on the road side. The ambience from the gate to the restaurant area is well decorated and lit. The seating area furniture is also very authentic and close to the culture.
To start with we ordered kehwa tea and khatai biscuits. It was refreshing and delicious.
For starters, we ordered dahi kabab (veg) and kabargah bemisal (meat starter). Both were nice and had very unique flavours. For the main course, we ordered a bread platter (assorted rotis) and mutton Rogan Josh (meat gravy). The latter was quite spicy. Overall, I enjoyed the experience and the feel of the place. Food wise I found it decent but not great.
