Review Rice Bowl - Bhopal

Muneer Qadar
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Rice Bowl , and I must say, it was the most authentic Chinese food I've ever relished! From the moment I stepped in, the ambiance transported me to China. The menu offered a delightful array of dishes, each bursting with genuine flavors and made with the finest ingredients. I couldn't resist trying their paneer 65 which was an absolute masterpiece. The flavors were rich and nuanced, and it truly felt like a culinary journey through China. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, helping me navigate the menu and recommending some hidden gems. The best thing is quantity ,If you order 2 of the dishes from menu,it would be sufficient ,Infact ,you can parcel it for your next day breakfast .

Ambience is internationally maintained. Spicy dishes are really mouth watering. Do visit for enjoying Chinese and Thai food.

Rice Bowl is back in business, it seems! I have some really good memories from back in the day of RB, it was our go-to Chinese eatery which we frequented to, back in 2013ish. We got some fiery Chinese the other day, one time, the delivery experience was not-so-great. Although, the dine in experience was good! THIS IS NOT A FINE DINING RESTAURANT, and you get what you pay for, honestly. The portion sizes are ample, the food has that Indo-chinese twist to it. No matter what you order, you'll get what I am talking about. The rice bowl special fried rice were delightful! We ordered some Chilly Fish and some Schezwan/Sichuan Chopsuey as well. The fish was great! Overall, ⭐⭐⭐⭐/5 for the experience.

The restaurant serves a specialty in Chinese cuisine that is both delicious and generously portioned. It is important to specify your preferred level of spiciness when ordering as the waiters may not proactively ask. Personally, I highly recommend their chicken Manchurian and chicken in pepper sauce. However, I do feel that the restaurant could improve their staff training and housekeeping. Despite this, the restaurant is not usually crowded.

Very nice place. Gives a bit too china vibe but you should consider it. Do note that it is veg. And non-veg. both. The mushroom is very nice, crispy, and tangy. Mix it up with coke and you are good to go. The portions are good enough for two people.

Rice bowl is located in Mansarovar Complex which has turned a bit shady. Keeping that aside, the menu has no dearth of variety of dishes, but either they’d not have majority of dishes on the menu or the waiter wouldn’t know about them. The ones available are again a mixed bag(mostly good though). However, the ones that are good are pretty satisfying, and the quantity is more than a plentiful (bowl of noodles in the photo below is half). I enjoyed chilli paneer, Veg Manchurian, Noodles(forgetting the type), and Chicken Manchurian. I found Manchow soup, Kimchi Salad, Thukpa to be below par. One can try dinning here, and if you order right, you’d have a good time.

Their food is so good the quality of sauce they use is top notch…..the flavour of Thai food is so authentic. I have been eating from Rice Bowl since a long time and they have not compromised their taste even a bit… yes the pricing has gone up but still the quality & quantity of the food is same. Do give it a try i m sure you gonna love this place 😍😍

This restaurant represents more than a decade of the best sensory gastronomic experiences in terms of Indian Thai Chinese quisine and is one of the most missed life events once we shifted from Bhopal to Hyderabad. Wish it had a branch in Hyderabad.

The food is really good here. We had ordered for chicken spring rolls, chilly garlic noodles and tomanja sauce chicken. All of them were very well prepared and were served steaming hot. The staff is friendly and helpful. The service is quick. The prices are reasonable. The ambiance is a bit of a downer which can be improved. On the whole, it was good experience.

Excellent Chinese and Thai Food. However, all items on menu were not available. Ambiance is average. Food is excellent. Price average. Must visit if you like Chinese food.

The food was really good. It can be said the food is actual Chinese compared to food has been indianised. The restaurant is close to habibganj railway station at MP Nagar hence can be said is conveniently accessible. The day we went the air conditioning was not being made functional, probably due to winter season, but it made the restaurant a little too cozy. The ambience was good and the environment was clean. The staff were very helpful. The food served was presented really good (garnishing). The price of the food is a little high but the taste makes it worth every penny.

One of the best places in Bhopal serving authentic Chinese food with ample quantity. The prices are economic in regards to quantity and taste. Green Thai curry, golden fried prawns, chilli garlic noodles, veggies in hunan sauce are some of the best dishes which I order almost every time. Just the ambience of the place needs to be worked upon. I have always taken parcels from them.

The food is amazing. You just need to know the dishes to order. The place got the perfect ambience of a Chinese restaurant, with dim lighting. The lighting messes up photos, but the glowy feel is not bad. Service is okay. The food is of good quality and the quantity of a full dish can feed three people. Rate is reasonable, compared to other restaurants of the same kind

The attitude of staff has improved significantly, they still not that welcomey but atleast they are not rude anymore... Good experience last time. The place is not at all pricey and half of anything is enough for one person don't order too much different items the quantity is pretty good. Suggestions : Hunai wanton soup is must try , make 1/2. Half is enough for all the items. Enough quantity. Triple Sichuan is a great choice if you want to try gravy, veggies, noodles, crispy and rice all at once. Nasi Goreng and Mee goreng are good. Red Thai curry is for the complete rice dish. Delivery suggestions: Hakka noodles is not exactly plain but medium spicy and with chilly sauce is best option to get delivered at home. Half is good quantity.

Mostly South-east Asian cuisine in the menu, the place offers "close to authentic" delicacies. The food is savoury to the soul. I am a regular here because of its average pricing and great service. The ambiance is lit amazing. Once inside you will find yourself in a small Chinese Cafe . The walls and ceilings are adorned with painings and accessories. Some suggestions would be to try the dragon chicken, fried wanton soup, laksa Kai soup, Mee gorend rice, Japanese fried rice, Rice bowl special rice, also try the Thukpa and Buddha delight here. Thanks, gimme a like please and follow me on Instagram : @varoun_r .

I have a bag full of sweet memories of this place but unfortunately was welcomed by a bitter one.
Upon arrival I was welcomed by an upset manager on an unknown point.

Food arrived in overwhelming quantities(in photos), vegetables were in plenty but exquisitely rotten to perfection, with a depressing taste

I would appreciate value for money if it for QUANTITY.

0 for hygiene.

Every once in a while we think that this joint might have found its old taste back, and every time we are left disappointed, rather disgusted. But due to longtime craving of Chinese food in this lockdown period, we ordered and had to eat the above mentioned food.

I have visited this restaurant few days back, location is really easy to find. Beautiful interior of restaurant. Chicken fried momos were one of the best momos that I have ever tasted in Bhopal. Chicken fried rice with extra spice was one of the center of attraction. They are really good with the food, the main issue of this restaurant is service, which is slower in compare to other. So if you want good food you have to wait...
Manish
Love almost everything here.. Keep up the good work guys. Love the food really.
Barsha Halder
We ordered
1. Schezwan noodles
2. Schezwan rice
3. Chicken in hot garlic sauce
The taste was worth it..Good for pocket health..sitting arrangements and the whole ambience is really appreciable and the service was also nice💗
Pracheeti Maheshwari
Ordered Veg sweet corn soup and was delivered Non-Veg soup. Spoke to the restauarant and their attitude was severly lacking. Will never order from Rice Bowl again. Horrible customer service.
Anurag Karn
Ordered dragon chicken and thai green curry veg. While thai curry was awesome, didn't find dragon chicken to be that good Nd certainly not worth the price. thai curry must try.

One of the best Chinese& Thai food u can have in the town and yes..the dishes i liked the most are chic dragon, phuket fish and chicken chilli 😋😋
Ankan Basu
eating here since a very very long time, dragon chicken should be the first thing you should try, rice bowl special rice is amazing, green thai curry and drums of heaven should not be missed at any cost.

The presentation seems authentic but lacks those taste.
won't call it a pocket friendly.
But if u want u can give it a try, well this place is nearly good in a way it seems.
Had fried momos for some reason but wasn't that satisfied by it.
Shubhi Pandey
I had the best Chilli garlic Noodles and Schezwan Fried rice here. I have tried these two dishes a lot of times but Rice Bowl lived upto the expectations. The quantity was good. The flavour of chilli and garlic was apt. Schezwan fried rice had the perfect spice.
Prices little more on the costlier side.

Had a terrible experience. There were cockroaches all over the walls and under the table. Felt supremely unhygienic. The waiters were indifferent as of it was a regular thing.
Raunak Singh
The food: the soups ordered were wonton and manchow, they serve some of the best soups in the town but sadly that was it for good tatse. For appetiser we had crispy chicken in schezwan sauce which was hair like checken shreds with loads of flour batter. The main course was chicken thai green curry with steamed rice, the food colour was overdone, the chicken soaked in the green colour and was overcooked. Overall its. 3/5, the interiors haven’t change for over a decade now, the drapes had dust on them and the restaurant didn’t had cold water and you had to buy a mineral water bottle , the table next to me ordered a lime water which definitely had cold water as the condensed water was visible on the glass. The last is the menu which was just horrifying to look at with all those poorly cropped images of food.

Good food but pathetic hygiene. Cockroaches everywhere. This was my favourite place in Bhopal for Chinese but one bad experience has changed everything

Unique Chinese food. Price is reasonable. I always like to visit here. I recommend trying this place. I've tried various Chinese cuisines here.

The go to place for chinese and thai in the city. The food is very tasty, the service is good and the staff is also experienced and well versed with their menu. The ambience is a bit shady though, can be improved.
Ekjot Oberoi
This is my favourite place to order Chinese but the quality of food is deteriorating. I recently ordered pan fried noodles and i got two dead cockroaches free with the gravy, when I had finished almost half of it. This is really disappointing.
Prateek Vats
One of best Chinese in Bhopal . Very economic. Tasty food. You should try the Momo's. Packaging of the food in good . No need to reheat . Must try .
Rajat Mishra
Been here is a good experience of Chinese.
This restaurant delivers satisfying dishes and you can enjoy the order just like an Chinese place because of its ambience and decoration items used to give a a look like.
Prerna Pathak
I went to this place with a lot of expectation but was so disappointed with the food & service. I ordered Wontons which were a huge disapointment. Also there was a cockroach on the table which ruined our mood & we left the this place.
Harveen Singh Johar
Can't really relate to the place being Chinese or Thai. It's Sino-Ludhianavi at best and with no real options in Bhopal to savour any authentic cuisine, places like this are rated above average.
Pad Thai was not available in a restaurant claiming to serve Thai. The most basic of offering. Khao phat is a noodle dish instead of rice but no one really has been to Thailand so can pass off anything as Thai.
The outlet did not have chopstick available (they use one time use cheaper ones) and on demanding the server gave us used one from another table. Seriously? Not only they have no idea about what Chinese and Thai cuisine is, they have no idea about customer service too.

Any restaurant serving chilli paneer should have its Chinese license cancelled.
A overhyped place serving average food.
Pawan Rajput
I was not much satisfied with this place, there are several reasons such as;
* The ambience was not at all good.
* The Quality of Food was also not up to the mark.
* Quantity was too much for a Couple, that leads to wastage.
* Waiters have less knowledge about the menu they serve.
- I would prefer chi kitchen anyday over this.

Well Thanks for your services Rice Bowl n team, but I was just being honest.
Sharmila Singh
Pathetic service.. Without delivering the order it shows order delivered.. And no one from zomato and rice bowl or the delivery boy was responding... Very bad experience. And the order was prepaid. We did not get the refund also...
Harsh Thakur
Food quality has degraded. Food was oily, tasteless and bland. Prices are high, and quality is bad. Too much oil and food coloring being used. Feeling on uneasiness after eating. Not recommended at all.
Shristi Jaiswal
Condiments were not provided with this ....very unprofessional
Cutlery was also not provided...
Not upto name......
Think before ordering from here

Great place to experience original Chinese, Thai or Indonesian food. The for quality it's great. I'm a hard core chicken liver, and I didn't find any place with chicken more tender then this. Besides the Ambiance and staff is great too.
Vaibhav Naidu
I ordered food from this restaurant. While eating food saw coackroach in it. Hygenie is pathetic. Not expected from such an old restaurant of the city.
Aashi Singh
we ordered:
1.drums of heaven- amazing chicken dish. the dry gravy was perfect. not very spicy
2. chilli garlic noodles- very light and that is why we enjoyed it. the taste was perfect.
the prices are also very reasonable.

It is very good restaurant. Good for health coz oil Is good. Tasty food little expensive but taste is very good so rate doesn't matter. I visited many times. Staff is also good and nice place for party
Manoj Joshi
Too oily chicken drumsticks not very good didn't like chicken drumsticks don't make too oily food and it's very costly also start making good food

There are just a few outlets serving close to authentic Asian food. Rice bowl is a decent restraunt serving good food at a fairly average price. You can try a bunch of Malaysian, Indonesian, Japanese and Chinese cuisines. Personal suggestion, try Buddha delight soup, Chicken Thukpa ( tibetian dish), Japanese noodles, Mee goreng rice, pan fried noodles, also shapo sauce and reng dong sauce are pretty cool. I cannot comment anything about the kitchen, I haven't seen it, there's a bathroom just outside, which is quite hygienic. Have a great time at Rice Bowl.
Anjali
I will be very honest I did not consider this place to be very good but I am and I visited I change my opinion because I don't really like to give anyone Bad review and the food was not very good but at the end of the day it was not bad either and I did not fall sick so why blame anyone
Kumar Gaurava
Tasty food with a difference from other places in the city. Food is good in quality as well as quantity. Ambience need some upgradations. Five star for food & 3.5 for ambience.

This is one of the few places in Bhopal For Chinese food.
The ambience of this restaurant is good and the waiters are polite, friendly and good.
However the water which was served was.... horrible. So much so that we had to order mineral water!
We got the Chicken soup which was good though more chicken should have been there for a price of ₹120.
Then we ordered Thai fried rice. The rice was delicious and the chicken was plenty and good! The presentation was top notch as well. For ₹290, it was fulfilling and could easily fill two!
Had a good experience but please do something about the horrible drinking water.
Ojaswini Chauhan
Affordable and beautiful place with nice ambience and authentic chinese. Also the quantity is very nice and sufficient. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are craving for some good chinese.
Elancesachin
Most un higenic kitechen , just near to the toilet, they are cooking like a street food , you can check the kitechen just near to the side baathroom.

Same on them for delivering unhegenic food in town.

Best option in bhopal for chinese and thai cuisine. The noodles here were too yummy. The ambience is quite good, it usually remain crowded during dinner time. Nice place to hangout and have a good chinese experience. Also tried nasi goreng rice and thai curry which were awesome in taste.
Snehasis Hota
Decent serving of Chinese food. Sumptuous and affordable.
3 stars for the following items:
-momos
-spicy fish fried starter (forgot the name)
-thukpa

Chinese gravies are stuffed with food color. It will changes the color of your insides.

A one time visit is all it's worth.

Vinayak Varma
Pathetic quality of food which is nowhere close to the price. The variety as well as quality has severely fallen. Taste is substandard and they give sweet and sour sauce in the name of barbeque sauce. Ridiculous.
Shubham Soni
Rice bowl is ever since the best chinese restaurant in Bhopal.
No one is as good as this till now.
Changes seen by me in last 7 years is that taste has gone down and rates have gone exponentially up... It once served extremely mouth watering food. I miss that taste.. But still no other restaurant is as good as rice bowl.
The ambiance of thai feeling is really awesome. Low lights increase the food capacity of people. And a romance.
Service is very good no delay.. And staff is also good very well behaved.
Apoorv Kumar Sahu
This place serves best asian food in town. Usually crowded in evening, this place is worth giving a visit every now and then. Quality Quantity.... everything is just satisfying. Try Chicken Thukpa, you'll love it for sure.

1. A quiet and a peaceful place to have dinner with frnds and family.
2. Food is delicious and worth the price.
3. Service is nice and staff is also friendly and polite.
Most authentic Chinese food in Bhopal at very reasonable rate and one of the most important thing is that the taste of food is maintained till date and service of food is also good must visit to this restaurant

Food 4/5
Ambiance 3/5
Service 2/5

First of all, food is awesome. Spring rolls n momos are the best in town.
Quantity is sufficient for the price which is a bit high. Bt no nagging in that department.

Ambiance is okay-ish. A bit dull n old. But the place is gud for family outing.

Service is not gud as some of the staff I encountered was rude. The typ of ppl who you dont want to give even a penny as tip.
Monika Moitra
Awesome restaurant with delicious food and delightful environment. The exact spot for continental cuisine lovers. Never dissapointed. Would suggest to open more branches around the city, add more variety and to also go for Mexican and Lebanese food.

I came to Bhopal a year back and I have been to this restaurant many a times to have dinner with my family, friends etc.
Now to start with the ambience the place not being a restrobar still had dim lighting with dull curtains earning a 2 star.
The waiters were really humble, aware and attentive although in most of my visits they weren't competent enough to describe about the dishes so a 3.
Then there is food. This is where it all gets compensated. If you have been to jabalpur and had Chinese near the clocktower then you know the comparison. In my first visit I didn't want to waste a lot of money so I ordered spring rolls for me and my friend. Best thing I ever tasted after I got shifted to Bhopal Hands Down. So a 5.
Coming to the price its not cheap but I'd say for that taste they were charging less. I haven't had one thing here that I regretted paying for. Hence 5.
The one thing that you should know is that they give you a very good quantity of the food you're ordering for the price they are charging. So a 5 there.
Ohh....visited the restaurant with so much of hope as we were very hungry for the lunch... fully tired from the office.. we went and ordered honey chilli potato, Singapore noodles, schezwan rice. Service was too slow. Ambience 2 star. Food quality 2.5 star. No card payment accepted. Overall average. Not recommended.

PS - Modiji bade bade restaurant abhi bhi card payment nahi lete.

This review and rating is solely to praise one thing on the menu-the momos! I had not expected to find such sumptuous vegetarian momos in Bhopal. If you are a momo lover,do give this place a try.
Foodology
An average place for Chinese and Thai cuisine.

Ambience (1/5) - Extremely outdated decor comprising of gawdy curtains (repulsive) and dull lighting.

Food (2.5/5) - While the menu is vast, I have managed to try quite a lot of them over a period of time, and it is easy to conclude that their forte lies in only a couple of dishes.

For starters I would recommend the chicken fried momos (good in terms of taste and quantity) and chicken springroll (thumbs down for the quantity). Most of the other starters are dry and bland and one can give it a miss.

For the main course my personal favourite is Chicken Thupka and Ricebowl is our "go to" place for this warm, lovin (absolutely delightful!). In addition to this their Thai Green/Red Curry is delicious (however getting huge pieces of lemon grass in every other bite is quite a turn off). Most of the rice items are really dry and the taste is monotonous.

Service and staff (3/5) - The service is pretty slow however the staff are attentive to customer needs.

Very hard on the wallet! The dishes are clearly over priced.
Price - 1/5

Overall an average experience...

If you're obsessed with food only then this place is for you. I had my best Noodles here & this 4.5 is for food only. Anyways , there's big scope of improvement in ambience , presentation.

Update 24th January 2019 : The Chinese soupy noodles I had that day was thukpa. After that , I've tasted that dish in various restos at various cities but never felt that taste again. Next time when I'll be in Bhopal , thukpa will be first on my priority list.

1.Ordered Chicken Corn Soup and Seafood Satay Platter.
2.Service is efficient.
3.Most drinks and no desserts were available.
4.Food quality is mediocre.
5.Pricing is reasonable.

A good place for hostellers, one can have good quantity of food with not so high rates. Don't order momos, tried Japanese rice/noodles it was quite good.

Whenever I crave for some authentic Chinese in Bhopal, I visit this place. Along with the delicious food, the ambiance gives you an additional feeling of being in a typical Chinese restaurant. The restaurant is seems to me very cozy and is usually always crowded. The menu has all the dishes that you would want to have ranging from soups, starters, main course and dessert. Nothing much unique in the menu but all I can say is that the food is delicious. Their service is very quick and they do not make you wait for a long time( you will be immensely pleased if you are super hungry :P)

I have visited this place quite a number of times. Some of the dishes that i ordered are chicken manchow soup, honey chilli potato, chicken satay, chicken pan fried noodles, chicken noodles in oyster sauce, dry chicken manchurian. The chicken satay was a waste and the manchurian tasted very salty. The soup, honey chilli potato and noodles tasted fine. The price is average.
Service- 3/5
Food- 3.5/5
Ambiance- 3.5/5

One of the best places to have Chinese Food in Bhopal. They serve authentic food, will satisfy your taste buds complety. Quantity is quite good. Dry Schezwan Prawns and Rice Bowl Special Fried Rice is something worth trying. #happy eating
#foodblogger #instagram - thebong_foodie

Rice Bowl was the first shop to open at the mansarovar complex, which was completed around 10-12 years back, and as far as Thai cuisine goes, this was is first restaurant serving it. Though I've received and read mixed reviews about it, I ordered form this place for the first time.

The packing boxes were a little flimsy, though there was no spillage, and as instructed they packed non veg and veg separately. The delivery took about an hour, so order accordingly. There were no utensils provided. I called them specially to add extra chopsticks, but they informed me they don't even stock chopsticks. Pretty average for a Thai and Oriental restaurant.

The prices are to a bit higher side, and the portion sizes are very imbalanced. I was quite disappointed that they took a lot of shortcuts to prepare the order. (Please click on the images to know about the food)

One time visit, would not be recommending or visiting again.

Thai Chicken Curry very tasty.. Chopseuy Dragon Chicken ###yummy###.Price affordable...Chinese And Thai Ambiance. A Place for all Chinese and Thai food lovers.

The only thai .. i must say authentic thai food in Bhopal. This place is been on the favourite liat of non veg lovers for almost 11 years. I am regular customer of this resturant for almost 11 years. I am vegetarian and the food chef here make the best is Thai Red curry, hot and sour soup, Buddha delight and last not the least Veg momos. I have tried almost all big resturants of Bhopal, Indore and Delhi... but the Momos made are best and sumptuous... Thai red curry is the must have delicacy. My friends in abroad are alao big fan of thier fine delicacies... I love this resturant!

I was a great fan of Chin-Chin...those who do not know about Chin-Chin. Here is some history. Chin Chin....was an amazing Chinese restaurant in Bhopal, which closed shop around 2004-5. The Rice Bowl outlet near Sai Board is in the same shop that Chin Chin used to be. Rice Bowl I believe bought Chin Chin out . I think there was some tragedy with the owners (I hope I am mistaken). Rice Bowl started off well and I did enjoy their food initially. The food was good and again was the only Chinese and Thai restaurant in Bhopal. However, i did go there again after a long time. Was disappointed with the food and service. The ambiance is the same since they started.....

An amazing and probably the only good place for fish lovers. Chilly fish is a real treat to have. Not so good with the ambience or service, but the food is worth the price and quantity is also pretty good. A one-time visit for every foodie in bhopal.
Sakshi Shrivastava
I absolutely love Rice Bowl! I LOVE IT.
Love the food, love their service. Value for money.
I'd heard many people criticize it before I actually visited it but I just couldn't help loving the food here.
Especially love the Hunan Chicken with Sichuan Rice.
Priyal Gupta
In my eyes it's a nice restaurant but it doesn't have anything out of the ordinary.
We ordered chilly fish and chicken triple Sichuan noodles. I loved the sichuan gravy, perfectly balanced taste of sauces, veggies and chicken. The quantity is good and the rates are worth the food.
However the ambience disappointed me, the restaurant being old, needs a renovation to bring back the Chinese vibe and stay in competition with other Chinese places.

This rating is for the mouthwatering taste (of course) and for the consistency the chef has been able to maintain over the years. Rice bowl in Mansarovar complex used to be my favourite hangout when I was in Bhopal 7 years ago. Some of my favourites here are schezuan rice/noodles, crispy chilly baby corn, honey chilly potato, etc. Visited recently and was pleased to find the same mouthwatering aromas and flavours. Thanks chef for bringing back the good old memories! Soumen Roy Choudhury

It is not so good. The food is average just like the street chinese but kitchen is unhygienic.
Quantity of food is very good 3 person can eat properly in one plate

Must try Barbeque Prawns... Delicious.
Ambience is nice but nothing for entertainment. Also as the restaurant is on 1st floor, there is no direct way to reach the restaurant.
Pros:
Delicious indo-thai or indo-chinese food
Great ambiance
Great quantity
Fast service
Waiters do know what is in the menu and can describe what a dish is.

Cons:
Confusing names of simple foods
Looks a little congested.

Tried rice bowl a year ago but didn't had a chance to try all of its menu or write a review.
First and most importantly rice bowl does not serve Chinese or Thai food but they serve indo-chinese or indo-thai food which is just a fancy name for their foods being made in Indian style but really the food is great and as is its quantity, if it's your first time and ordered many dishes in full quantity you might end up overeating. The price to quantity ratio is good and so is quantity to quality ratio.
Interior is designed with Chinese painting artifacts which with the food goes nicely in sync and seriously gives the good vibes.
The soups are good to try but names are so confusing that you end up ordering something else so I suggest you to ask the waiter and they know the menu and dishes which is a plus point as many restaurant waiters can't describe their food.

The foods to try:
Dam mien noodles
Reng dong soup
Triple Szechuan rice

Ken Shan
Food is good but definitely not Chinese. Be careful before ordering too many items coz they serve in huge quantities. So by the time you finish your share u will be full and already disliking wat u just ate. Ambience and service rocks. Must go place once in a while or for change. Cheers!! Kumar Shivam

Me being from Delhi, good food is something hard to found in a place like bhopal but then someone recommended rice bowl to me.
One of the best chinese restaurants I've been to!
Food here was amazing, nicely cooked, and prices were decent enough. It is one of those restaurants which really focus on the food quality.

Soups were so good, very comforting (visited in December)
The food, unlike other Chinese restaurants which try to indianize the taste and add there own twist, was authentic, yummy, and tasty
Noodles were great, Chicken was tender, wantons were awesome.

Nothing to complain! Highly recommended if u want some good food in bhopal.
Best timing to visit : late evening. Slightly dim lights and interior will give you a good vibe. Enhances the overall experience!

This used to be the best place for Chinese in Bhopal few years back.I had good memories of Rice Bowl.
Visited this place after few years today. Ordered chili garlic noodles and vegetable Manchurian.
Feel very sorry for them. The food was pathetic. Super oily . Vegetable Manchurian did not have vegetables.Same was the case with noodles.
Roadside vendors have better quality Chinese food.
Big let down !

Thai cuisine!!!
You will be delighted here with proper Thai and Oriental food.

The best part is that, you will get prawns here.
Basically you will get n number of varieties of noodles and rice dishes.

Simple food, any prawn dish is a must try here.

Ambiance not up to the mark, staff needs improvement.

A little workout can make this place creating wonders.

Cards cannot be accepted there.

I have visited this place several times and I find it to be good for authentic Chinese food.
Have tried noodles, fried rice,Manchurian, pan fried noodles, corn rice,Chicken lollipop and all tasted good.
Though for pan fried noodles, I would recommend to drain out entire oil on a tissue rather than serving it directly on plate.
for the rest its a must try restaurant!!! :)

despite an unfortunate dead cockroach in our pad slam noodle at their arera colony outlet, we gave this place a try.

staff and service is just normal, food is above average (with some exceptions - which are just plain awesome).
hakka noodle, manchurian, pad slam noodle, spring roles were all awesome. we were bit disappointed with thai curry, may be 'coz of different flavor than what out tongues are used too.
overall : a must go place if you want to change your taste.

One of my favorite places in the city when I'm craving for Chinese food. The decor is excellent, you just get into a zone as you enter. The menu is really good, there's a huge variety to choose from. The food is delectable and always has you coming back for seconds. I especially love the way they dress the food by putting up decorative salad items on the dishes. Makes it all the more interesting!

With time quality of food and service has come to all time low. Prefer quick bites at Vishnu if you are looking for Chinese food in MP Nagar, else Chinese food @ Rings of Fire is also a good place to be.

Best place to dine out with friends or family if you love Thai and Chinese food.

The ambience is amazing.
The food is very delicious out here.
The service is a bit slow and they don't listen to you very easily when it's rush hour.
Total of 3.0/5
-0.5 for the service
Improve it guys...

The approach to this place is a tad shady, as is the indoors. Food is mediocre, a few dishes good and others too oily or salty. Ambience is quite dark and ought to be improved.

The food tastes good here, but you never know what the ingredients are. Extremely unhygienic, unorganised and shady place. You find insects roaming around your tables, and if you happen to sit anywhere near the wall, you may even find lizards around you. You name it, and they offer the poorest of quality.

Being new to Bhopal and finding places for good food is hard. But as I love Chinese this one place in Bhopal where I found the best Chinese till now. It reminds me of flavors from China town in Kolkata. It's feels joyful to be here.

Been to this place a few times and found the food to be okay-ish and not up to the expectations. Probably not one of the good Chinese places you thought it would be.

Not the best Chinese I've had. Chinese style decor, a tad bit slow on the service front. Thai cuisine is pretty good. I'd recommend the rice bowl special rice. Hunan chicken is also a good dish to try. The appetizers are a bit expensive but the momos are alright to taste and so are their chicken lollipops. Vegetarians have some variety unlike a lot of other chinese restaurants. A meal for two would cost around 700 rs. Family and kid friendly.

Went there few days ago. A total no no. Our order took more than an hour to be served. The service seemed quite slow and very cold. I,personally, did not find the overall food very flavoursome. *disappointing*.The experience was not at all good.
Ambience-3.5/5
Food-1.5/5
Service-1/5
Rice bowl is one of the very few good Chinese and Thai food joints in Bhopal. I make it a point to visit them every time I visit Bhopal. I absolutely love their Thai green curry which they serve with steamed rice. Also, their soups are delicious.
Would have gone for a 5 star rating for the food taste, quantity and value for money prices. They just lack a little on the décor and service. But do give them a try for the great food.

best place to eat Chinese food in the city. this place is heavily crowded on weekends so you must book the table in advance to avoid waiting for your number to eat. menu has good variety of Chinese delicacies and the traditional Chinese ambience adds 4 stars to it.

talking about food it wont disappoint you. they take order based on your preference and recommendation on spice levels. tried sweet corn soup and singapuri noodles and both the items were good in taste and quality & quantity wise.

this place is totally value for money.
