Review Agrawal's Rajbhog - Bhopal

Vinita Pandey
Everything was awesome. 5star to everything. The atmosphere is one point where they need to focus. Obviously pomp and show is important. But all they speak they speak through food.
Amit Agrawal
One of the best place to have desi khana at heart of the city, mp nagar area with reasonable rates and good service. This outlet is owned by one of the oldest pioneer of thaali system of bhopal city the Agrawal poori bhandar. Tried their dal baati thali that is Sunday exclusive @200/- was really very tasty, every item in thaali was perfectly tasty with so balanced flavors. Surely going again n again 😋

I tried Paneer Pahadi Tikka, one of the dishes which were “Specialities of the Day” here. It was mouth watering , soft and juicy. The way it supposed to be. Must Try.
Swapnil
Food wasn't too spicy that makes it good for older people or children. Otherwise, food tasted good and serving time, behaviour and management of waiters was good. Completely in the budget and beautiful interiors. Makes you feel at home.
Tanishka
Decent dine, food was served on time and the staff behaviour is good too. Apt for family. Daal Baati tasted really great. Being a gujarati, real dal baati is known to me and they served it. Worth a shot!

I visited this place today with my colleagues for dinner. We ordered 3 rajbhog thali and here comes the review of mine:- <br/><br/>1. Costing - Rs 536 with tax. for 3 and one extra chapati. <br/>(Rating 7/10, because almost the same rate as Rajhans and serving only 5 chapatis with curries only in 7 small bowls, specially rice in small bowl )<br/><br/>2. USP - USP is poori thali with there authentic raita which actually they use to serve at sarafa and chowk in old city. <br/>(Rating - 2/10 just because of there potato curry.)<br/><br/>3. Food quantity - Thali system in Bhopal is always compared with Rajhans bhojalaya, so first of all waiter strictly told me this is limited thali. Bowl size is like small chutney utensil. Total there are 11 items in thali which includes 7 items in small bowls (1. Kadhi<br/>, 2. Mix veg ,3. gulab jamun , 4. Raita , 5. Aaalu ki sabji , 6. Rice , 7. Shahi paneer ,8. Daal ) along with papad, chapati and salad. <br/>( Rating 1/10, as they at least can serve rice in a big bowl and also they should have courteous to serve at least one dish extra, as they can see only 1 or 2 items are touched in the whole thali.<br/><br/>4. Quality - Coming to MP nagar specially in zone 2 there are lot of options if you do not want to wait in queue of Rajhans bhojnalaya and this actually what happened with us today. Just because of there name we came here at Agarawal's.  Now comparing with Rajhans' food, this place is pathetic, I think they are serving thali just because they are most near to habibganj railway station. If you are in hurry avoid this place and prefer IRCTC catering. <br/>(Rating - 2/10)<br/><br/>5. Ambience and sitting space - Its excellent as only out of 25 tables only 4-5 are occupied and whole place is clean as only few families visit here due to waiting in Rajhans. Ambience is far better then there competitor's like Arya bhawan, taste of India and Rajhan's <br/>(Rating 9/10)<br/><br/>6. Service - No enthusiasm in waiter's as I can see in Rajhan's or any other good restaurants. I moved my neck 5-6 times back for chapati's, this is not the case in Rajhans where if any thing is finished waiter is eager and keeping any eye on every table. I am not sure what exactly is there chapati serving system. They serve 3 chapati at once later 2 in 2 rounds. Immediately you arrive there waiter asked first greeted me with "Sir aro water chaiye ki pani ki bottle" and then we asked for menu.<br/>(Rating - 1/10)<br/><br/>I am giving rating 2 just because I remember my childhood memories of Agarwal poori bhojnalaya of sarafa. Rajhans bhojnalay is also there neighbor in ghoda nakkas in past, but they maintain there all aspects as they were in past and same as in present MP nagar or ISBT. Time kills....

Worst quality food <br/>Disgustingly managed to process the food <br/>Not so economical restaurant <br/>Just too expensive for the quality they r providing <br/>Also the packaging and all is bad <br/>Still gave 2 star because I ate it anyhow because of hunger <br/>10 rs per puri is very much I guess
Samarth
Paid for 5 rotis but only got 4. Very bad.

Had their Sunday special daal baati Thali... So let me first give you the details of what we had in that Thali, it's a limited Thali and had 4 small size baatis, daal tadka, Gatte ki Sabzi, besan Kadi, baigan bharta, green chutney, matar pulaw, salad and churma dry fruit ladoo..yes that is a lot but that is wat Thali is 😝.. One Thali costs rupees 220 and you can share... Ordering extra will cost extra 22 bucks for each item .. we were four people and we ordered three Thalis and shared and it was enough for us.. Ambience of this place is OK, I mean it is a family restaurant so it's nice.. Coming to how the food tasted, it was Nicee... It was a typical rajasthani meal and the best part was it tasted a lot like home made daal baati, I generally don't like baatis outside but this was gud, Gatte ki Sabzi was nice, only the things which disappointed me were baigan ka bharta and pulaw, baigan ka bharta was bit too garlicky for me, I was not getting taste of actual baigan ka bharta(which I lovee) and pulaw was OK.. Not that gud... But other than that everything was good and reminded of ghr ka khana😃 I would definitely recommend this place if you want to have nice daal baati

Very nice place to enjoy Lunch/Dinner with family. Awesome food with awesome preparation. Love their Butter Paneer Masala, Butter Naan, Veg Biryani and delicious Boondi Raita. Will visit again and again. :)

Finally you can enjoy the legendary Puri Subzi of Agrawal Puri bhandar in peace. The older restaurant is located in crowded city area with huge parking problem. This new branch is spacious and has ample parking space. The menu has more options. The staple puri thali comes with nice chick pea curry and aloo subzi with raita. The chick pea curry is the best I have ever had. We also had the paneer sheek kebab but that can be given a miss. Great ambiance and friendly staff. Highly recommended

Pros: <br/>1. Nice ambience<br/>2. Good food<br/>3. Daal bati laddu special on Sunday<br/><br/>Cons:<br/>1. No backup generator, if there is a power cut off you have to sit in the dark with all summer heat<br/>2. Coordination between the serving staff and cash counter is very poor<br/>3. Serving staff has to be trained more with hospitality<br/>4. Everytime the serving staff forgets what you have ordered and bring you partial orders <br/>5. This time even the baati were harder than stones.<br/>6. Will never come back <br/>

Nothing as compared to Agrawal's poori Bhandar..<br/>Food is just okayish....<br/>Not upto the mark..<br/>Nothing new or unique..<br/>Moderate prices..<br/>Not at all suggested for hangouts or parties.. you go there just to have normal food ... But don't expect anything new here 😃
Anas Siddiqui
Been there to celebrate one of my freind's Birthday <br/>Starting with outer area <br/>The paking was good<br/>The ambience is nice<br/>The service was okay<br/>Starters like dry Manchurian and Chinese combo was tasty but Main meal was not much good <br/>Not recommended for Freind group but good for family
Sourabh Kamle
Food was good.. i took the take away thali n jst wanna say that the food was tasty but there was too much garlic in the daal... so plz make sure to manage that as it will improve the taste ..............:)
Anurag Shrivastava
As the name suggest this is the branch of the most iconic and historic restaurant in the food history of bhopal the agarwal puri bhandar. Been here for more than 2 times had their Chinese which didn't disappointed me instead of being an authentic north indian restaurant. I also had their paneer tikka which was really yum i would recommend to try it for sure and then had the paneer punjabi the paneer punjabi was very oily as i served it on my plate the oil was spreading in the whole plate the taste was good or i didn't got over the paneer tikka's taste so didn't found paneer punjabi much appealing the service was good and it's located at a very prime location where any one can visit easily. A must visit place looking forward to try their iconic puri sabzi.
Vivek
Economical thali with variety of options. Taste is descent with nice curry and dal. The hospitality is very nice. The place is neat and clean. <br/>

Been there in a group of 3 with friends, it was a bit difficult for us to spot the place;<br/>They owe their own parking spot for both 2 & 4 wheel vehicle.<br/>However, the ambiance of this place was attractive and it is capable of accommodating a decent number of customers(Probably across 75).<br/>We've ordered Paneer Hyderabadi, Veg-kofte & Tandoori roti; <br/>All the items were delicious and bit spicy, moreover, in kofte, there was a pudina pint which we were not expected and however, changed the entire taste of ours.<br/>The waiter was polite and co-operative.<br/>The rates were moderate and the place was good though!
Vibhor Shrivastava
They need to really pull up their socks if they want to stay in the game. <br/>They are doing well in ambience, service and everything else other than food. <br/>We ordered dal bati thali, rajbhog special thali and puri bhaji thali. <br/>Unfortunately none of them were good enough to leave a mark.<br/>I wish they will improve to continue their repo of the original agrawal puri house.<br/>Happy eating fellas.. cheers :)
Deepshikha Shrivastava
Ambiance was fine. Interior was also nice. Fully hygiene. Well maintain .Coming on food- people's those prefer less spices can go there. Doesn't have much good taste though Hospitality was good.
Raj Sethia
Tried "Poori Thali" for which it is famous for, but didn't find anything special in terms of taste, its just so ordinary. Ambience is good and spacious. Service was average. Light on pocket. Rajbhog needs huge improvement in their taste so as to stay competitive.
Nitin Bhayre
Waste of money. <br/>Good interior with bad food. <br/>Noise level, like having dine in a factory..............<br/>Visited yesterday only due to the name tag "Agarwal Poori Bhandar" but really disappointed.<br/>
Prateek Jain
Good ambience.. Good location.. Food average .. Thalis n sunday special dal baati thali was good .. Value for money only thalis .. Service was very poor.. Biryanis and pav bhaji below average..
Charvi Gupta
This is place which has evolved a big time! From Agrawal Poori Bhandar in the Chowk to Rajbhog in MP Nagar. I must not compare but it's food breaks all the monotony of Arya Bhawan and Rajhans!<br/>The food is delish! 😍<br/>I had paneer tikka and corn kebab which tasted like home made food! This was the moment when my expectations rose high! <br/>For the main course we ordered corn palak, butter paneer, mixed veg and dal takda. It didn't reach my expectations but surpassed it!<br/>Food served in almost every restaurant makes your tummy bloat after just 1 chapati, but this was everything that mother's food tastes like. Light on stomach, freshly made and satisfying. <br/>On the whole,<br/>The service was good. The staff members were good. <br/><br/>I am still not satisfied and I'll be coming again for "The Thali"<br/><br/>Ambience- 4<br/>Service- 4<br/>Food- 4.5
Shivani
The place is great..interior is subtle and beautiful too..it's goes quiet easy with your pocket..the platters are reasonable..noodle and munchurian are great..paneer and daal are good too..in starters the kebab are good too..thali is also great 😊
Anmol Upadhyay
Yes it is light on pocket. Yes it is spacious. Yes it is new and worth a try. But no dont go there. Poor food. Had the worst ever cold coffee and sandwich. Their signature thali of poori sabji is good though, but only when you have to dine with your entire family. This place certainly lacks the taste, the other nearby outlets in MP Nagar offer.
Shubhada Kale
The famous Agarwal puri bhandar in the Old City area attracts many and is always crowded; so for them to open such a place in M.P Nagar is a welcome step. I have fond memories of eating humble puri and aalu sabji at the city outlet, so finding this place open close to home raised my expectations. Fortunately the taste of the sabji was close to the one I had had at their city outlet. The food is reasonably priced and is plenty in quantity. Their signature thali is about 80 rupees and is filling. The ambiance is airy and spacious. Very clean. Though parking is an issue in that area. Great place to go to lunch and dinner with family and friends.
Anurag Pathak
Interiors are very elegant. Food is simple . Location is convenient. Most importantly it's very light on pocket for the nice and calm ambience it provides.
