First time I tried but found it amazing better than even jeh numa palace ... It was low sugar and eggless made perfectly couldn't had been better ... Thank you di who baked it and made my mom's birthday so special.

Chocolate products are must to try. Have a dark chocolate taste which gives you immense satisfaction of having a chocolate. But the rates are high if we look at the quantity..

Amazing macarons! Had the best macarons in Bhopal here. Wide range of 35 flavours during a French festival including a cute box of four secret flavours. Authentic taste and preparation gives them a pat on the back. They definitely do justice to the taste. The macarons have the right amount of every ingredient which is being procured from different places in order to achieve the real taste. Also had a chocolate pie of sorts which was really good too. I hope you guys keep doing great work. Cheers!

The sweet stuff over here is amazing! The snacks are nice, but not excellent. I recommend the macaroons, French truffle pastry, tea cakes and the Oreo shake is to die for. I ordered birthday cakes from here and they were delicious. However, it is a bit overpriced.

Best Patisserie in Bhopal! I absolutely love this place, and any guests we’ve hosted from Delhi to Bangalore to Mumbai to Boston, everyone loves the cakes.
Ms Juneja and her hard working team really deserve the praise.
Superbly excited to try everything on the menu!
Recommended: German Black Forest, Belgian Chocolate Truffle and Pineapple Cake.

I wasn't sure if i was visiting the same place. It seemed to be different from the pictures as I realise that it has shifted to near sagar gaire.
The place is small space with limited seating.

As i visited there were limited options to try from.
Macrons were not available, being close to new year's eve, the place did not had basic pastries.
I tried the blueberry and strawberry cheesecake, which was nice.

Ordered the Belgian Truffle Cake. I can safely say The lady who owns this establishment, makes the best cakes in Bhopal. Sad to see that her talent isn’t appreciated in Bhopal so much. Their stuff is so much better than what Jehan Numa doles out.

This review was long pending. The chill in the air bit me yesterday, and I was reminded December is approaching here. The first thought that crossed my mind when I thought about December was of Christmas-Special Rum Cakes which I had last year from Violet Hour. Sneha soaks the tutti-frutti, raisins, and other dry fruits for a year in rum, so by the end of the year, all her dry-fruits are plump and drunk. She adds adequate (read : generous) amount of rum and cinnamon to the cake-batter to give it a slight bitter bite. The cake is both dense and soft and not overly sweet and has the crunch of the tutti-frutti/cashews and the mellowness of the raisins.

In my nicest dream, I see myself on Christmas Night sitting at the porch of a brightly lit isolated house on the top of a hill watching the snow fall from the stars while drinking rum and eating those rum-cakes from . So I hope Sneha is nice enough to send a few cakes to Delhi before I start my Christmas trip to the hills.

This place a nice cosy ambience. You may love to be here with your a group of friends. The chef is a woman who takes your orders and handicraft each item fresh. She also makes by her own very beautiful chocolate bouquets.

Ambience is nice...but pastries and cakes looks tempting but not that great to taste as expected. Though the prices are affordable and packing of the pastries also is neat and clean. But can have better taste.
Soumyadeep Bhaduri
Really under-rated place. Arguably the best bakery in Bhopal. Bought some cakes from here recently and was absolutely satisfied with the quality that they provided in regards to taste.

Ambience : 4/5 Food : 4/5 Staff : 3/5 Hygiene : 3/5

It's a cute little bakery with pretty seating. The purple sofas goes well with the black tables. Seating is pretty comfortable. Food is great. I had egg and cheese maggi, schezuan Maggi, blueberry sparkling drink, cappuccino, red velvet cupcake and macrons. Maggi was great. I love places which can provide me different flavours of Maggi. Blueberry drink was awesome. It had exact required amount of soda. Cappuccino was OK. Red velvet cupcake was heaven. It was fresh and warm. It had that little sour flavour which many places miss in their red velvet cakes. I tried their 10 flavoured macrons. Each flavour is so unique and fresh. Macrons were so crispy and creamy. Loved each macron. Keep up the good work guys. Would surely recommend this place for hanging out with friends or family.

Freshly baked
A little expensive
Went there a long time ago when it was just opened,
I fondly remember the red velvet cupcake which was too sweet but was fresh and really good!

I had heard a lot about this place in terms of good food, majorly cakes and desserts. Ambience is decent and sophisticated, if you're planning a formal meeting or a casual hangout. I ordered for a cappuccino and chicken seekh loaf sandwich on a sunny afternoon. i must say this place is relaxing and music is soothing. coffee was interestingly good! and the loaf sandwich is amazing if you eat non vegetarian. Then comes the time when I walk to their desserts counter, i was impressed with courteous and knowledgeable staff (hard to find in bhopal).

Desserts, they serve looks very tempting and i learnt they are actually serving good quality food! I was confused what to try! so i tried their french truffle chocolate pastry and cheesecake slice as per recommendation

And bang on. At the first bite you can tell this is great and getting better. Truffle so smooth with perfectly balanced. Next I tried their Cheesecake and it is famous for good reasons. the crisp crust and flavourful. Prices are okay if you compare it with the quality food you're getting.

Overall experience: I great place for people who appreciate food. everything comes next. Thank you violet hour!!

i will visit you guys soon again.
Himanshu Bhatnagar
The service was excellent ordered a cake and roses,
At the time of first call, you will get to know that they are delivering quality, hope visit them soon.
Thanks
Voilet house
You made my special more special.

i have been to violet hour only once but only a single visit to this place is more than enough to leave an indelible impression on your taste buds. It probably has the best cheese cake in bhopal and the owner is poised enough to delineate everything on the menu. the only reason i have give it a "4" rating is because of its ironical name . Even though it claims to be an "BISTRO" which means an "inexpensive restaurant" , the rates are unreasonably high.
but overall i would recommend it any day over other "patisserie"
Madan Singh
The cheesecakes they serve are the best in town. Its my guilty pleasure specially the two in one Blueberry and strawberry Cheesecake. If you haven't tried their combo cheesecake you are missing out big time.

THIS is the place to be for desserts. These people know what they are doing. They keep it Authentic, Real and Absolutely Fresh. As soon as u enter this cafe it just wraps u in its warm cozy aura. I had a cup of their Cappuccino, it was pipping hot, rich and delicious. I didn't had much time in hand so I got a Box full of assorted pastries, I wanted to try them all because WHY NOT.
My Box contained - Kit-Kat Cheesecake, Oreo Cheesecake, a couple of Red Velvet Cupcakes, Truffle Pastry (which BTW was the best truffle I have ever had), a colorful pastry (I forgot the name. but it was delicious), and a chocolate cereal bar. All of these for just 530/-
This place is pocket friendly and will definitely win your heart with its authenticity.

Got a text from them to try their cheese cake n frappé,So my inner food explorer said on it.As soon as I entered this place the violet couch and black table caught my attention, such a cute place to hang out with buddies. They have a special menu for preorders and The place is a bit overpriced but the cake was fresh so can't complain about that.Macrons are the newest addition to every cafe in bhopal ,this palce is also offering them and I would be happy to try them next time. The chocolate truffle pastry I tried was exceptionally good and heavenly. The cheese cake was not available today but on my next visit I will have one definitely.

I have visited here many a times. Mostly I tried the cupcakes and cakes. This place is good for having quick bites. And my experience regarding the taste of all the products is good. Its a bit heavy on your pocket but worth the efforts taken by the lady. May be she won't able to makes desired shape or design according to the weight and material used, but assures with the taste and quality of the items. Butterscotch cupcake is a must try for the sweet lovers !

Bhopal has been missing out a lot in terms of Desserts & Patisseries. Thank the lord that there came this small & cute looking Bistro named, the Violet hour, holed up at the Koh-e-Fiza Main road right next to Reliance Fresh, and the patisserie grabs all the attention of the crowd. It’s a very small cafĂ© with over 7-8 covers. The Violet Sofas and Black Tables are the highlight of the interiors. Music was again very trendy and precisely a good place to hang around with friends for coffee.
I happened to visit this place for their first year anniversary and ongoing cup cake festival.
Well, it’s said that, ‘You can’t buy happiness. But, you can buy cupcakes and that’s kind of the same thing.’ For a person like me who has OCD i.e. Obsessive Cupcake disorder, a visit at this place had to happen.
Looking at the Menu, I was highly impressed by the servings such as Butterscotch Milkshake, Focaccia Bread, Cinnamon Hot Chocolate / Latte, ChocĂł-Caramel and Blueberry. Enough for a first impression. Extra Brownie Points for my favorite Cinnamon Flavor. 🙂
Masala Chai Mini Cupcake
We’ve heard of Masala Chai as a flavoured beverage. But, there were mini cupcakes in front of me. I think I haven’t seen Masala Chai Cupcakes in Delhi or Mumbai. But have heard about a baker who makes them in Bangalore. Also, I don’t think anybody in Bhopal has come up with such a brilliant thing.
The mini cupcakes looked really cute and had butter cream frosting. The Flavours of Masala Chai were strong and it smelled amazing. It had flavors of Cardamom, Cinnamon and Cloves. I loved the way they came up with this and they should include the same in their main menu. I would want to have them again.
Cinnamon Latte
As mentioned above, extra brownie points from my side for Cinnamon Flavour. No other café in Bhopal serves this. I had a broad smile on my face when I saw this on the menu. Cinnamon Latte was piping hot coffee with cinnamon powder sprinkled on it. The froth was thick and the cinnamon powder blended well with the coffee.

Red Velvet Cupcake
Oh Thank God! I get taste “Authentic” Red Velvet. The bakers in Bhopal having been playing a lot with Red Velvet but very few of them have got the actual taste. The original Red Velvet tastes a little bitter and is not very sweet. The Red Velvet Cup Cake had butter cream frosting just the way I like it. The cup cake was absolutely fresh and the butter cream was delish. Highly recommended!

Chocolate Cupcake
Oh! I don’t need to describe much about this. Drooling little piece of heaven that brings back so many childhood memories when it has chocolate butter cream frosting. One of my all time favorite and I’m sure most of you might also like it. If you love chocolates then you’ll love this cupcake as well.

Chocolate Fudge Trifle
Last, but not the least I had was Chocolate Fudge Trifle. It was eggless trifle and was very smooth in taste. The robust flavors of dark chocolate were heavenly and one could have all of it alone. The divine bowl was made up of brownies, whipped cream and chocolate pudding. All in all it was amazing and I got one bowl packed for my mom as well.
By then, I was high on Sugar and was not in a state to consume more of it otherwise would have tried more cupcakes.

But, you should visit violet hour for some amazing desserts.
Happy Hogging!!

It is a small place but the rates are too high. One Cupcake is of rs 70/- I didn't expect that. Fresh cupcakes are good but most of the cupcakes are not fresh. They are baked and kept in the freezer and they are not worthy to eat.

The food is good, and expensive. It's a small place, with a nice interior theme, the cupcakes seemed delicious.there is a huge variety of deserts. Its a place for a quick coffee and desert !!

Yum!!! Yum!!! Yum!!! Totally worth every penny spent in this awesome bakery. Chocolate cupcake is out of this world and blueberry milkshake is the best. Overall a fantastic experience.
Madhur Juneja
Awesome place. Great taste and presentation. I would recommend mint chocolate chip cupcake and mocha frappe. The new additional menu with savoury items is very good. It's well maintained and hygienic. I give 10 on 10 to this amazing place.

I love this place. From coffees to desserts to sandwiches, everything is just incredible. My personal favourites are Blueberry Cheesecake & Frappe Extreme. And Brownie Sundae is to die for. Undoubtedly the best patisserie in town.

After having lived in Bhopal for almost 6 years, I walked in to this place on one of my lat few evenings in the city, simply because I liked the name. Oh why did I not know about this place before!!!
Their hazelnut frappé was the best I've had so far in that budget. Also, their chicken sausage roll was considerably fresh even at 8:30 in the evening when most places are selling stale, smelly breads and pastries. So I believe it's the best you'll find in Bhopal at such reasonable price.
If you're in the area, give this place a try for a quaint evening, sipping on a good coffee and reading a book. 😊

Another pocket soothing outlet situated in kohefiza. This is a truly lovely venue for having tea, shakes and dessert. Seating area is good just matches the name. I had a violet velvet and a kitkat shake. Cupcake was yummy but dry and shake was ordinary. There are so many small ways of elevating a dessert experience and i can see that here. Would love to visit again.

Absolutely love this place!!! If you're looking for the best pastries in bhopal look no further!! All the items are prepared in very hygienic conditions....the music is also good!
Sanahashmi89
The place is violet as the name says, its cute, its cozy, good service, yummy desserts. One drawback is the lack of parking space. But far better cakes and truffles. Its a good patisserie for the people living this side of the city.
Leesha Guwalani
I tried the cinnamon coffee and cupcakes. Cupcake was dry didnt like a lot. The place was empty but the music was good. Seating area is also good. Didn't like coffee a lot. Pastries are worth trying.

Paradise for a lover of sweets. Violet hour has a realxed decor and pleasant ambience. Its perfect for couples to spend tjme here in Bhopal. Its away from the city, in the outskirts and so it isnt jampacked all the time. Onto the spread, the place can take pride in the fact that it has a really wide range of awesome cakes. They have special items too. Their red velvet cookie and cream is a must try. Their brownie trifle is the tastiest desert we have had here in Bhopal. Its highly recommended. A meal for two with a plate of sandwich n drink would cost you about 500 rs. Head to Violet Hour for a nice sweet time.

I am Super exited to have a french patisserie in Bhopal, I was like wow. I had such delicious desserts like straight from heaven. Ambrosia. Service is quite good compared to other restaurants, trained staff its just feels great and the prices way too low than compared to the quality food I have been served. I have been to places but this is different, it is for a person who love food, who knows what it tastes like. This is the Place. Violet Hour you have nailed it. You guys are Outstanding.
Anmol Upadhyay
As soon as I entered this place I had only one regret, why did I not come here earlier. This is a cute place, to call it the least. The sofas were violet to justify the place's name. It was the owner cum chef Sneha's birthday when I went there and totally loved her courteous nature and of her staff. The music played was good too. Full marks on the look and feel factor.
Coming to food. I ordered Cinnamon Frappe and CupCakes. The Frappe was a good blend of coffee and milk. The cupcake had good cream and icing, though the cake was a bit hard, which might be because it was a day old or two (I am just guessing this, as I visited the store just after it opened).
This place, if located somewhere else, probably in Mp Nagar or New Market would have taken Bhopal by storm, Koh-e-Fiza is not the best place for such a good place.
I am definitely going to visit here more and explore the items on the menu. You too should!
Deepesh Jethani
Violet hour is the time when the sun is setting, and the sky turns purple.
This place with very creatively chosen name is actually good.
interiors are basic but the ambiance is quite sober.

the menu is quite selective and u'd love the place if u r not much into crowded outlets.
Taste is good and very much authentic (like totally prepared referring the recipe books) please take it as a complement .

A MUST VISIT!!

I'm a true fan of VIOLET HOUR. I tried several of the “better” health food store breads and found that none compared in taste, quality, heartiness, nor in the level of satisfaction I get from Violet Hour. Amazing Service for a good reason – it’s some of the best I’ve ever come across! I believe the long queue has nothing to do with the chocolate, but even just sitting in this place to enjoy the pleasant atmosphere is worthwhile. The shop is lovely and has a beautiful royal look and feel in part thanks to the 'Violet' theme :) One must go and try this place to experience a lot more :)

Love the promptness of serving the order... Friendly and Courteous staff. Always get taken away by the Chocolate Truffle and the mouth watering Chocolate Cup Cakes. Been a pure vegetarian, this place is a perfect join where i always get a lot of eggless options... The music is just perfect and the ambience so pleasant. Would definitely visit often.

Fabulous! Visited this place for the first time today and on the first note "It is very Pocket Friendly" Talking about the interior, by it's name it clearly says it all Voilet Sofa's. Not so happening as we were there for more than 1 hour and were sitting alone, no other table was occupied. Don't know why so ? Talking about cleanness, it was very clean and hygienic, i don't even found any tissue or any paper laying here n their. Music played was not so happening and interesting, though they had given AUX to play your favorite music. Coming to the taste, we ordered Cappuccino's, Chocolate Chip Muffin, Browne with Hot Chocolate Sauce and Ice cream. I really loved the Browne as always, Muffin was soft, spongy and fresh. Cappuccino was served hot and all the items were served without any delay and in a proper manner. Very friendly staff and very pleasant chocolate smell. Will surely visit again soon.. ;-)

Violet Hour exactly beside Reliance Fresh in Kohefiza is one of the cutest bistro cum patesseries in existence in Bhopal. They have a nice comfortable large violet sofas and good taste of music. The place is small, cute and comfortable.
We ordered for:
CHICKEN PANNINI SANDWICH- The bread was fresh and soft. The sandwich had the right amount of chicken pieces and mayonnaise. The pieces were tender and marinated well in spices and indian style green chutney. The black olives had a stronger taste but balanced well with the juciness of bell peppers. It tasted perfect.
APPLE BUTTERSCOTH SHAKE- A completely new addition in the list of shakes. Hence, decided in one go to go for it. The taste of apple was blended well with ice cream and milk. And the butterscoth nuts gave crunchiness to the shake. It was sweet and crunchy in taste as well as refreshing.
HAZELNUT HOT CHOCOLATE- Hot chocolate had the right amount of hazelnut and the froth with crushed hazelnuts added on to its taste. It was strong in taste.
BLUEBERRY CHEESECAKE- The base was crunchy and crumbled well. The cheesecake was smooth in taste and blended well in all the flavors. It was fresh, creamy, cheesy, soft and set well. The blueberries in between gave a tangy taste and added on to the flavor of it. Though the thickness of the base can be reduced.
FRENCH TRUFFLE PASTRY- The pastry was decorated really nicely. A bit on the bitter side of the taste bar it was soft and juicy in taste. The ganache layer melted in my mouth. Though we preferred eating it cold, they have an option of serving it warm as well. It would taste better and more yummier if warm.
Presentation was good and the owners of this place are courteous.
All in all a nice place for evening get togethers with your friends.

The Patisserie "Violet Hour" has excellent grub to offer . An amazing place offering quality products .

Their cakes are commendable & brilliant . One will never regret spending here !
I recommend Almond frappĂš frozen ,
Caffé Frappé & Chocolate Truffle , thats actually to die for .
All in all i liked everything i ate there

Cheers😊
SJ
French Truffle Pastry is an absolute delight. It has the smoothest yet the most intense chocolate flavour. And I am a huge fan of their Brownies. They serve the best fudgey brownies in the city.
When it comes to savoury, I just love the chicken seekh loaf and cheese toast.
I am a regular here and the reason why I would pick this cafe amongst any other in town is because of the quality and the freshness of their products.

P.S. Violet Hour is the only place in Bhopal that serves the widest and the most unique Coffee Flavours. *Cinnamon Latte and Hazelnut Cappuccino is highly recommended.

This lovely Bistro and Patisserie is tucked away in the heart of Bhopal, Koh-e-fiza- The area of Nawabs. Surrounded by greenery. Simply the best place to hang out with friends

The best place to get authentic Italian Breads and French Dessert.

Love the ambiance

All hazelnut lovers, The hazelnut frappe, cappuccino, hot chocolate is to die for.

And the truffle pastries, tiramisu, coffee walnut pastry are some of the things you have got to taste.

According to me Violet Hour is truly A FOOD HEAVEN!!!
