Review Papa Mexicano - Bhopal

The food is good and the vibe is nice. But they don't have variations in a dish... For eg they have "a" Taco which is representative of all the tacos. Other than that gripe, it's delicious and worth going to if you want to try some Indo-Mexican cuisine.

Budget friendly, great Mexican joint in the heart of the city. Amazing staff. The restaurant gives great Mexican ambience.

A nice place to have Mexican food. You will actually taste the real and authentic taste of food here. It serves non veg as well and they have huge varieties. Must try Taco and Thai curry. OH my my! It's really delicious. You will love to went over there many times. I should say this is one the different place in Bhopal to go. They also have a cute Ambience with vibrant color walls and some lovely stuffs. Though the place is small but it's cute and I think this place is best to go out with your friends. So ya... I won't call it pure Mexican Joint but probably Mexican with the Indian touch and right price. I tried Veg Nacho Platter, it's presentation was nice and taste just fine. For INR 130 it's perfect value for the Money. Overall ambience is trendy.

This place serves delicious Mexican food. I tried the BBQ chicken wings and chicken lollipop which taste is good and it was spicy as i expected. Average taste of choco lava cake. Ambience is ok with comfortable seating. I recommend to go atleast once.

Pathetic service and the taste was not up to the mark. All the staff is busy in watching movie and won't be interesting in serving. The chilli paneer was worse.

Place has cowboy touch to it. You can find spanish songs playing, netflix on tv and cowboy hats hamhed for any photoshot you wana hoop on to. We ordered mexican combo which had dalmakhani rajma types curry with rice+boiledmasala potatos+ kathi rolls wid filing of rice beans and dalmakhni rajma, salad and hot coffe with it.. its all a mexican combo which i sorted into look alike indian cuisine. Well you can try on a different style of food here with touch of indian flavours.

The food is very delicious. The owner is also very good. Had quite a few dishes and got to know that in their sandwiches they bake fresh bread each time. And plus high quality products are used. The ambience and aura of this place is amazing. A perfect spot to enjoy with friends and have gatherings. 10/10 for the amazing service.

I had a chef's nachos platter, roasted chilli potato and kitkat shake. Nachos were cold and soggy, Shake was average and roasted chilli potato were potato wedges with a different name. Nothing special. They do not provide any discount whether you are a student or go there in happy hours. Average cost for 2 people is Rs. 400. Staff is OK. This place is clean and hygienic. Visit only if you really want to give this place a try coz according to me it's not worth it.<br/><br/>Happy Eating :)

I tried the bbq chicken, coffee and Choco lava cake which was really worth the price. I'd love to try the burrito, taco and quesadilla here. Tastes excellent with a good price. Serving time is a bit poor.

My first impression of this was strong going by the interior and ambience of the place. However I could not carry the same impression about the food they served. <br/>I've visited the place twice. We ordered nachos with cheese and taco along with iced tea and a mojito at our first visit.The nachos tasted good but were extremely thin and so was the shell of the taco.Upon inquiring with the owner who was an acquaintance of my friend, we were told that's how baked nachos are. And all the items they serve are baked freshly in their outlet.<br/>The tacos were delicious probably because we picked up the right combination of fillings.<br/>Because we had a decent experience at the first go, we paid another visit, expecting the food to be the same if not anything better. <br/>The second visit was a complete disappointment. The shell of the taco was broken when served itself. We also ordered a burrito which didn't qualify to be called edible at the least. <br/>Today I paid a visit to s7 Socialite and ordered baked nachos and they were not THIN and didn't become soggy in 5 minutes of being served. <br/><br/>The place has potential. Only if they genuinely start using the feedbacks they recive from customers instead of countering them with lame and abusrd comments. <br/><br/>1 out of the 2.5 rating is just for the interiors and creative concept.

Good efforts, good job on the interiors! But the taste is where they lack! Tried Nacho's platter and cheese garlic bread! Cheese garlic bread hardly had any cheese on it, that too was not baked/cooked/heated, just garnished.<br/>Enchiladas was good, something new and different I would say!<br/>Nachos were okay!<br/>

Go for veg enchiladas , veg quesadillas, Tacos which may be burst of Mexican flavours. Try the healthy delight for stuffed Mexican bread and you may order veg platter also. Crispy treats for your taste buds , crunchy and perfectly golden brown in colour. Best part was that they weren't fried. These were served with Sour Cream & Tomato Salsa Sauce. I was a little disappointed with the fact that the sour cream tasted awful while the Tomato salsa sauce tasted heavenly. Perfect texture and perfect taste. <br/>Tacos: A crispy taco shell, loaded with wholesome Jhalfrezi topping (The Indian Tadka), which was enhanced further by Mexican sauté veg. Brilliantly made! <br/>Burritos: This dish has everything packed into it. It is self-contained in terms of flavour with a bit of tang, spice and cheesiness, and is quite filling too. If you need something good to eat and within your pocket you can go here. You can order rice bowl with different toppings and it has a gr8 taste.. Furthermore you have to try coffee with choco lava muffin which is yumm.. The only thing is that burritos gets hard and it is a bit difficult to eat them. They also give cowboy hats to flaunt :) good goin mexicano<br/>.cheers

Ambiance was awesome. Name suggests the theme. There are varieties of tacos, burritos and rice with wide variety of toppings to choose from. The quantity is less compared to price. The cheesy nachos must be more cheesy and soft. A good place to hangout with friends.

if you have had real authentic mexican food, you will be disappointed. the food was served cold and no fresh ingredients were used. we ordered nachos and enchilladas; nachos which is the most simple of all mexican foods was prepared like an indian paapad and served without sour cream. enchilladas had an overpowering taste of tangy tomatoes which were all mushy and lacked crunch of fresh veggies. instead of sour cream the stuffing had yougurt which tasted stale. the ambience of the place is the only good factor. but the food lacks true mexican flavour. the prices seem reasonable but the taste is not worth. for those trying mexican for the first time will never know the flavour palette of mexican at papa mexicano. i was happy to see a mexican joint in bhopal but disappointed with flavours. i suggest the chef to use fresh and quality ingredients and improve the authenticity of flavours.

This is a new restaurant in the city, and had heard so much that i decided to give it a try. The place was empty when we went there probably because it is at a very secluded place specially for the weekend. The place is beautifully designed keeping in mind the Mexican theme. Staff is well informed and helpful. For the food we tried chicken enchiladas, quesadillas and chicken drumsticks. All the entries were decent but not so close to the Mexican flavours. For maybe the first of its kind in bhopal it is very commendable for the Mexican food. Would definitely visit again to try the build our own tacos and burritos.

First of all , approbations are well deserved ,for doing such a phenomenal  work on the facade of the restaurant. but unfortunately, all that glitters is not gold . my review is solely based on 3 dishes , namely choco lava , burrito (make your own burrito with paneer jalfrezi and roasted chilli potatoes), tomato salsa dip,nachos.<br/>There is a very fine line between  a good and an average choco lava and all it takes for a choco lava to languish in the realms of mediocrity is an inconspicuous bitter sweetness and lacunae of smoothness and the choco lava i had was indeed resting in mediocrity.<br/>Next coming to the burrito and tomato salsa dip. The burrito had a preponderance of insipid rice with hints of parsimoniously added paneer jalfrezi and cheese . the ends of the burrito were rigid enough to be left untouched and the banality of tomato salsa dip was astonishing.<br/>Last and the most undistinguished were the nachos.<br/>overall my experience was vaguely off putting

Incredible place and food.. ambience is a topping on a brownie. I like the most is, owner asked for my prefrences and mood... I opted for sugarfree cold coffee and herbal sandwhich made of homemade bread... with no mayonnaise.... this resturant gives tou option to customize your order. The staff too is really courteous. This is a paradise in MP Nagar for Maxican food lovers with pinch of Indianized taste... its a must go place...

This is first of its kind resturant in bhopal..!! Its very economical and serves very delicious and authentic mexican food..it is a proper blend of mexican grill and indian tadka. My personal favourite spinach corn taco, raman burrito, choco lava cake. I rate it 5 on 5, it is a must visit place with friends and family.

The entrance looks Promising with Mexican style. Wonderfully done ambience and well curated Indo-mexican food. It was overall a nice experience. A different cuisine now Bhopali's can have in town. But the service is bit slow.

Friendly staff<br/>5.Nice location ( you can see the trains goings too and fro 😜), ample parking space.<br/>6.To explain the mexican dishes various photo frames were there, which were quite helpful if you do not watch TLC much 😋<br/><br/>Cons:- <br/>Not exactly con but a topping made out of avacado was not available, hence we couldn't try that. Though they have already made a disclosure on the menu that the topping availability is subjected to availability of avacado. <br/><br/>P.S. - Do give it a try once, I am sure you will love it.
