Very good dosas (Rs70-90). Has some sour flavor that may or may not be liked. Ordered paneer 65( Rs. 120), which was a mistake. No taste or very less coating of coloured batter. It wasn't a paneer 65. Being an authentic South style restaurant, this dish should have been their trademark. Disappointed but ready to visit again only for dosa. Food was served quickly as there were only 2-3 other customers.

Hands down, BEST place to try out South Indian Thali! If you ever have the cravings for trying out South Indian thali in Bhubaneswar, just go to this outlet. The food is beyond tasty. The staff is super friendly and extremely accommodating. The place has ample space for parking for 2 & 4 wheeler. We tried the thali and curd rice, and I must confess, I wanted to eat more. And what great pricing! Definitely, must try!

This is quite a basic south Indian restaurant. This place offers both takeaway and dine in. The taste is quite average. And they have fine parking space. The staff are very cooperative and cordial. The staff are friendly and polite. They serve in time. Dinning area might not be very lavish but the price and quality of food is average. The price have just recently changed in the menu. Moreover the place looks finely hygiene.

In Bhubaneswar you will find lots of options for South Indian Cuisine. Starting from street food to fine dining South Indian foods are almost available through out the city. But only a handful of restaurants provide the best quality and Idli Bhavan is one of those restaurants. I have been visiting this restaurant for the last 4 -5 years. And my experience has been good. Today I decided to have my breakfast here and visited there with one of my friend and that too after a long time. Ordered idli, dosas, coffee and halwa. Taste is good as usual. No change in quality of food which is a good thing because in my opinion one must try to increase it, if not at least maintain the same quality . Service is bit slow and I hope this could be developed.

My wife loves the dhai vada here. This is the one of the only legit places in Bhubaneswar where we could relish some South Indian delicacies. We missed the south flavours after moving here from Bangalore. However this place looks promising. We still have to try other stuff on the menu. Edit: Tried the paper dosa roast, it went well with the different chutneys and sambar. The sambar is good enough and can be considered close enough to what we get in the south. We requested for filter coffee as it’s a must after meal. The staff didn’t have coffee at that moment however took the pain of making it specially for us. We were elated to enjoy our dosa and finish it off with hot filter coffee. Kudos to their customer service.

The packaging was pretty good and clean. The food tasted quite fresh and delicious. It was hot and freshly cooked. Personally i was very much satisfied after eating the masala dosa so i would definitely recommend this place for south Indian delicacy.

Everytime I order a South Indian dish they don't provide the red tomato chutney which they serve in restaurant and that's my favorite. Even though I mention in cooking instructions or I call the delivery agent to ensure it, they don't provide.This has happened several times.

Idly - Great. Absolutely loved the freshness Masala dosa - Average. In the description tab , it was mentioned that it’s served with Sambar, white chutney and the red one. I had ordered samosa chat and paneer fried rice. The samosa chat tastes good with good quantity but the paneer fried rice was tasteless as it had the ingredients, taste and smell of chowmien. In fact half of the rice was long grain and half was small grains. There was a very small quantiity of rice which is not sufficient for one person.

The ambiance is just like a typical South Indian restaurant without much into decorating. Friendly staffs. Great thing, it has variety of authentic South Indian food. Not like other South Indian restaurants in Bhubaneshwar. Dindigul Mellige Idli is a must try. The make sure to add ghee with lots of love. We were looking forward to try the pineapple kesari, apparently, it wasn’t available. I hope they have it when we visit the next time. :))

Apart from the cost thing It is a really nice place to grab a breakfast or an authentic south Indian meal. Being honest its hard for a student to pay 36 Rs. for two pieces of Vada who will look up to this place as a Go to place. But even if it's a bit expensive it maitains the Taste and hygiene of the food being served. Not a fancy place, Go here to get some food here.

Dosa Masala and Puri Sabzi masala exactly same ...dosa two types of chutneys are also same ..sweet in taste ... Ambience is fine no issues...was my first visit...I didn't like both dish masalas are same ...I don't feel like trying any new item anymore...There was no Flavour In Sambhar .... Nothing more to say ...why create bad impressions for all this ?? You can maintain all these on your own ... There are many big restuarants doing good ...why are you making such blunders for basic things?...

I had ordered Rava Plain Dosa. It was well prepared but as usual, the packing for Sambar & Chutney was in aluminium foil which was virtually impossible to open. They should add one more Chutney. Overall the order was good.

I was thinking what to write? Good or bad. Paper Dosa was good even I ordered it online. But the masala was pathetic. Only potato. Still they could have make it tasty with salt n other ingredients. Samosa was the best. Anyone wl love it. They could have used that masala in Dosa. Chutney, Sambar were just good to ignore. Suggested to add little onion to masala but why they will take 2 rupees extra burden, where as I used zomato code for 65 rupees discount. Requested no sugar in coffee. They spent 2 rupees extra to make it sweet juice. I m now sure, costumer requests or suggestions during order, is just a formality and nobody cares. Thank God I ordered 2 samosas. Or else I had to remain hungry. Happy for Samosa. Loved it. Overall it becomes too costly when u pay 150 rupees for 2 genuine samosas and others go to dustbin.

If you're looking for some amazing South Indian at an affordable price then this is the place. The Ghee Pongal and the filter coffee at this place is worth a try. Someone who's not much into extremely sour food can also try their Koothu Paratha (which is by the way a Tamil dish)

Quantity of rice in the meal is too too less, nearly half of what served in a plate.. Curries of only potatoes. Dissatisfied. This is winter season and vegetables are very cheap. I wonder why they don't use vegetables. Packing is terrible. They tie the packets in such a manner that it took 15 minutes to open the packets!!

I'm a South Indian and I love you! In Bhubaneshwar this is one of the very few places that gives you authentic south indian dishes. The dosas are really tasty and the sambar and chutney were authentic as well! And by Bhubaneswar standards for South Indian food, this place is actually decently priced. I recommend all South Indians to have a go at this place. Trust me on this one.

Prices are a bit high, 200rs family dosa looked good bt wasn't worth, service is slow, we ordered idli which was 30rs and sambar idli which was 50, 20rs extra for just dipping it in sambar. Also guntoor idli had more of chilli powder then gun powder. Overall taste wise this is a gud place, just dnt expect good service Correction : Opens at 8 and not 7:30

I recently came from Hyderabad. I was told Idly Bhavn is best for south Indian food. It is good food. But, it is not as good as i was expecting. I ordered dhosa, Idly for me and my wife. Chatni did not contain any coconut. It was full of besan. Another chatni was stale . Dhosa is okay. Idly & sambar was good.
