Review Golden Bird - Bhubaneswar

This is one of my favourite restaurant in Bhubaneswar. The Food over here is amazing and the ambiance is good, the service is great. We even organised a party with Pushpak and they took care of all the details that we wanted and we mentioned. Kudos to the team for such well organised staff and cooperation. If you want to visit a good family restaurant or host a party then you can definitely check this place out.

Went to Golden Bird post reading reviews on Google.. And boy, the 4 & 5 star ratings were all true!! A highly courteous, warm and efficient manager (Umakanta Dash), able assisted by his team - all of whom were eager to serve :) The food was delicious and the reviews were true here too.. Buffet was not there and we tried a-la-carte, both Indian and Continental. All dishes were cooked to perfection. Definitely worth a visit ☺️

It was a wonderful stay at hotel pushpak! You can try odisha style authentic yummy food , the golden bird restaurant in pushpak had delightful dinner!

Firstly, the service was very good, the staff is friendly,coming to food seasoning,recipes are perfect. The cleanliness is on spot, the interior design is interesting, the walls are decorated with Mahabharata paintings, green apple mocktail was delicious, over all it was fantastic.i would really recommend this, can get great food for affordable prices.Thank you guys!!

For vegetarians, options are less. Starters could have been served hot. However, the food served is of good taste and quality. Some starter / Desert items can be added for vegetarians as options are less. Overall, a nice experience for 650/person. Timing : only Sundays, 12 pm - 3pm

During our stay we were looking for something good and close by our hotel. There were few options on EazyDinner but after reading the reviews we decided to book a table @Golden Bird. To start with the staff were very Welcoming. The menu has good options vegitarian and non-vegetarian. Apart from South Asian they also have few limited European options as well. We decided to try Indian and Chinese. The starters Fish Finger, Nawabi Chicken Kebab and Dewaani Prawn Tandoori was good. The restaurant manager Mr. Umakant ji was personally attending every table. Though they were not serving hot coffee at Dinner time, he was kind to get me good shot hot and strong coffee. Overall we had a good time there, enjoyed the food and ambience . By the way, the restaurant walls tell a beautiful story behind the name "Golden Bird".

Tried their Sunday buffet @650 per person (inclusive of tax). Their could be some improvements in keeping the food warm and serving fresh. Very good service by the employees. Must try it. The staffs are maintaining proper hygiene and ensuring cleanliness and safety for COVID. The service was good and the dishes are delicious. They take a maximum of 15 minutes to serve. The ambience, as compared to other restaurants in Bhubaneswar, is good. They have a proper parking area for two and four wheelers.

Tasty food. Nice sitting arrangements and attentive staff. Located at kalpana square offers decent dining options. This is part of Pushpak hotel and is located on the first floor of the building. It's located in the heart of city. There is parking available in front of hotel. The restaurant offers veg and non veg food and also have options for buffet. The prices are moderately expensive and the food quality is good. The service is fast. There is ample space for sitting. The menu has lot of cuisine to offer. Overall a nice restaurant in the heart of the city.

We believe a good meal not only means good food but good service also. Hence although the food was ok, service was really bad especially since it's a star category hotel restaurant, staff hardly speaks any language other than the local ones hence making it extremely difficult to communicate, and super slow service seriously.<br/>Food was just average.

Ordered chicken biryani and it was really very tasty. The aroma of biryani was really nice. Its chicken biryani will definitely satisfy your hunger.

Manager was rude. He came at 2pm and said are you done because people are waiting?? I was shocked. Really!!! We have paid the bill for food for a particular time. If you have accommodation problem then try to extend your area. That's not our problem. A person pays 504/- with tax for the duration of 12:30-3:00pm. If you are providing buffet , behave in that way. If you don't know how to behave then learn it. That was the first and last time I went there.<br/>Food was good. Customer goes a hotel not only for food but also for the behaviour of a staff. Other staffs were nice. I won't blame them.

This is one place I go to when I want to spend time with my parents. They love this place and the food over here.<br/>Stuffed mushrooms, chicken bharta, chicken lababdar are a few dishes that we all love. The only problem is with fish dishes. Fish is usually not boneless and you expect dish like fish finger and fish tikka to be boneless !<br/>The restaurant is well lit and good for an outing with family.

Well, most probably the most affordable and delicious buffet in the town. And trust me guys you would love it,especially the Biryani - it was so damn perfect. You would get a large variety of dishes (Around 12-15)from starters to desserts, including veg delicacies.

Came here along with my family. To be completely honest, the lunch buffet was pretty mediocre. I mean, I would’ve preferred a few more items, even if they charged a bit extra.<br/><br/>In the Veg menu, the starters included a soup, salad, chat, Vegetable fry and papad. They all tasted appropriately good. The main course included Dal , Chawal, a Paneer Curry, a Kofta curry and Hakka Noodles with manchurian. The curries were a bit oily. Especially, the Paneer seemed drenched in it. The rest of it was decent. For dessert, they had Gulab Jamun and Kheer. I liked that portion of it (sweet tooth guy here).<br/><br/>The prices were pocket friendly, the staff genuinely decent. There’s not much to speak of the ambience. Had the place been occupied by a bit more number of people occupying the other tables, it would’ve gotten way too crowded. The overall experience was okay.

But tell me how on earth u can ask us to leave in the middle of our food. Is this is the way to treat ur customer. We could hardly stay for an hour. The manager was making us hurry to leave the table. The worst service ever i got till now as far as my experience. Try to improve ur service first. And i am definitely not going to refer buffet to anyone out there. Literally u will feel insulted. We paid ₹2600 but for that manager we couldn't even eat properly. Such a waste of money. Absolutely perfect chicken tandoor. Chicken biryani, egg noodles, mutton roganjosh, and paneer lababdaar were the gems from the main course. The roti & chicken 65 need improvement. Kudos for the caramel custard, although gulab jamun was a letdown, probably due to excess addition of rose syrup. In all, great value for money. Although a little short of variety, but the quantity does not leave much room for more.

I went to this place thrice within 2 months. Reason, you get one of the best buffet lunch at minimum price. Everything from starter to main course to dessert were nice. Although, number of starters are less. Also, i had one of the best mutton rogan josh at this place. Courteous staff, very nice ambience and good food.

A nice place to visit for a lunch buffet. I went for the special buffet that they offer on Wednesdays and Sundays. It was quite good. From the menu I liked the buffalo chicken wings the most. The dessert was also quite tasty which had caramel custard and rabdi. Just disappointed with the cold food they served. People kept the containers open even after serving themselves that could have been avoided by the staff.<br/>Otherwise an overall nice experience.

Had been to this place with family for Christmas special lunch buffet!🎄<br/><br/>This place is famous in town for serving buffet at reasonable price. Talking about the ambience, it was quiet good and big but it was very overcrowded the day we visited as it was Christmas.<br/><br/>Coming to the food,the starters had options like -<br/>Soup(veg and nonveg), Chicken lollipops,Crispy american corn, Tandoori chicken and veg tikkis.<br/><br/>The main course constituted of Mutton curry,Chilly chickem,Egg and veg noodles,Rice dal,chicken biryani,raita,paneer curry and other options.<br/><br/>The dessert had options such as caramel custard and Moti carrot kheer.<br/><br/>My take on the food-The food was extremely delicious specially the chilly chicken and mutton curry were the best part in the entire spread. Good food at great price. Location is just on main road. Crowded during lunch time in weekend so table booking is recommended. Being a dessert lover I expected more in sweets.

The best part to know is that it has sustained the quality of food since a long time with beautiful interior rennovated a few years back.<br/>The Golden Bird Restaurant on the 01st floor has a very good ambience & they serve you really good food & beverages over there. The buffet is worth trying with such an affordable price as compared to other 4* restaurants near by. Its one of the coolest place to Hangout with friends and have a great time over lunch and dinner.<br/>The Restaurant has very well mannered & friendly staffs like Mr. Sheshadev Parida and his team.

Golden Bird is one of my go to places when it comes to good food at a reasonable price...service and ambience are great for a place like this...<br/><br/>I have tried chili fish , nawabi kabab, chicken roganjosh, kulcha and many other items... Nawabi Kabab is one for all weathers... The chicken is soft, moist and is cooked to perfection...just loved it... I can say most of the Chinese items are good...<br/><br/>Overall a good family restaurant...<br/><br/>Latest Update: I have revised my rating now... The quality and taste of food has declined over past few months and they are not doing anything to stop this slide... Very sad with the matters... Mutton biryani which was once a favorite of mine has turned to be the worst dish in the menu... absolutely pathetic...

Varieties are the best in city. Taste is OK not that good. Self service. Interior is perfect. Perfect place to go out. Me n my friends(4) had gone 2 der. And the total bill was 1260. Its not dat budget friendly but u can get a variety of food der.

Went to this place for a breakfast buffet. There were about 20 items on the buffet menu. I won't say food was great but it was good. And getting so many things that too unlimited for just 350 bucks definitely is a plus. One thing that was disappointing was that there were no drinks, they could have atleast served plain lemon soda.

The buffet here has a decent variety of food according to price. <br/>Starters- Chicken Lemon Coriander Soup along with apple chicken and veg gold coin were a good kickstart to the buffet.<br/>Main Course- Chicken Boti Masala was very average, so was Chicken Biriyani although the chicken was pretty well cooked but not very spicy.Veg Manchurian was pretty average with the balls being a touch hard. Paneer lababdar was good. <br/>Dessert-It was the best part of the buffet with a really good custard and Gulab jamun to go along with it. <br/>Overall at that price , the restaurant offers a good variety of food and the food is not very spicy or tangy in a healthy sort of a way but not very entertaining for foodies. <br/>The service here is a tad slow with the waiters not quite able to clean up plates as quick or refill the dishes or provide new plates. You have to ask them to do something, then they will realise that something is missing !!

Went to have buffet here on a Sunday they had a special buffet, first of all it is bang for the buck. <br/>All the items were well cooked and were delicious, one demerit is that there were no items with gravy it was all dry so had a tough time gulping. <br/>The pudding was excellent and the staff is very cooperative. <br/>Good ambience, bad music, good food. <br/>Music definitely has to change it spoils the mood. <br/>

Buffet is very good and at reasonable price ... All food items taste equally good ...they offer a variety of items . wed and sun they offer special items (should visit on these two days). The sweet dish needs a bit improvement otherwise food is delicious .

This place needs a special mention. Headed there with a group of friends on a sunday. The place was packed as if the foods for free. Has the cheapest buffet in town. Thou the refills are slow. The foods a typical bahagharia spread. They seem to add something to the dishes that makes u feel boaled in the first helping.

Golden Bird is the place to be to enjoy a good south indian meal also they also have a big enough menu with provide different veg and non veg options. I enjoyed my meal here.

Golden bird is a good restaurant which serves lunch buffet and they have also got hyderbadi dum biryani in there menu everyday , there spread was quite good with lots of choice however being a biryani lover I just loved the chicken dum biryani which was the best for me till date in bhubaneswar .

Good spread of food, starters, soup, rice roti, veg n nonveg items, Chinese, desserts.. Its a good buffet option. But yes if planning to visit on weekends do book n go as it's crowded on weekends with waiting times being half to one hour

The best part is that they even have a big lcd TV n u can enjoy watching films n all..today they were playing Chennai express..u can have lots of fun if u go wid ur friends...reasonable cost n great food which satisfies ur apetite. A must try place for everyone. I hope u wont be disappointed. The gulam jamun was the best among the desserts n confectioneries. Planning to visit here again soon #StomachCalling 😊

Good food in a good price. I liked the restaurant. Service was decent enough. Ambience was also comfortable. The crowd made it a bit noisy. Chinese and north Indian would be mpst prefered. Good option.! The best part is, it has a big led television for matches and other programmes...

I felt that the food they provide u with at a such a nominal rate is simply unbelievable! The dessert is awesome....non veg items are well cooked....and veg items are equally delicious...buffet , which as a mattr f fact is d only choice available there, costs 600 per couple, including taxes!! Do give it a visit on d weekends....
