Review Asian Delicacy - Bhubaneswar

Natasha Panda
U visited this place a few weeks earlier during lunch time. It is a small homely cafe so I had to wait for a table. After waiting for some 15-20 mins, i finally got to my table, and ordered honey chicken lemon and kuai tiao tom yum. The service was not too late nor too bad. Kuai tiao tom yum is a spicy Thai soup with glass noodles and chicken ( you can get it with seafood or fish too). The soup was definitely worth a try. It was healthy with all the green and egg. Honey chicken lemon had a sweet and lemony taste with crunch chicken fritters nicely coated in a taste. The cafe is very photogenic and aesthetic. Do visit this place if you can stand the smell of seafood. Otherwise the place is a good option for Thai food and was definitely worth waiting.

I would highly recommend this place. The food is extraordinary and the service was very heartwarming. The place itself is very cozy. The food was extremely delicious and kept us wanting for more. Our tummy was fully at the end but it was not at all heavy, indicating that it was healthy.

this is literally a hidden gem in Bhubaneswar. The food is so good and actually authentic. What I love most is every item on the menu,no matter how unique,is available all the time. Even the prices are quite reasonable. The seating space is small and feels more intimate. Love this place.

Located at Saheed Nagar, a few hundred metres from the BMC mall, in ground floor of a residential building, the restaurant is not very visible from moving traffic in the main road. However, if you follow location on the map, it's reachable quite easily. There is no separate parking provisions, one has to park on the street itself. For people coming in four wheelers, it's advisable to park in the main Shaheed nagar road. The restaurant, right from its entrance to interiors is cozily designed, using lights and plants. The interiors are warm and soothing, resplendent with yellow toned lights, beige walls, rustic furnishings, old books in shelves, decorative showpieces, and a warm jovial lady as host (owner). Food is great in taste and quantity as well as quality. They serve mostly Thai delicacies. If you're looking for seafood platter and Asian food, come here! It's authentic in taste!!

Asian Delicacy is a small but cosy restaurant at the heart of Bhubaneswar, Sahid Nagar. The food quality is excellent. It's the only authentic Thai restaurant in Bhubaneswar.

Go for it guys. Just go for it if you love Thai cuisine. Everything's so flavourful here, just go sit there, ask for a recommendation, anything that's served would be delicious. For a full meal, average per head charges would be around Rs 400-500 and it's definitely worth it. I loved the appetizers and I am not a fan of soups, but I loved them here. Also, ask them to not add brinjal in the Thai Curry if you are allergic to them beforehand.

It's a nice, cozy asian restaurant in Saheed Nagar. We tried their Kuai Tiao Nam Sai, Tankatu Kiyoshi and stuffed omelette. The shrimp in the Tankatu Kiyoshi seemed a bit stale. Otherwise food is really unique and appetizing. Service is also good. Should try this restaurant at least once.

Amazing and authentic food. Very good variety and choices in the menu. The place is a hole in the wall type eatery with cosy ambience. Washroom can be improved.

It's a quiet and quaint place to chill out with friends and family over a slow-paced meal. If you're looking for authentic Thai food in Bhubaneswar, look no further than Asian Delicacy. It serves excellent food, has homely service and is extremely pocket-friendly.. Highly recommended!

The authentic Thai Chinese restaurant is very very good. We tried squid here and that was very tasty we tried the crispy fried prawn and even the glass noodles ramen which were also very good. The restaurant is pocket friendly as they provide a good amount of food according to the price. A must visit place for ramen lovers .

A cozy little coffee shop-cafe which serves amazing Asian food. As someone who's spent a lot of time traveling in SE Asian countries this kind of satisfied my cravings. The decor is very Vietnamese Coffee Shop but a bit too cluttered, could help taking down some of the stuff which aren't necessary and that opens up a lot of positive space Now coming to food, the Steamed Fish was freaking amazing. Stuffed with Lemongrass and a lovely lemon sauce - best paired with rice. I missed the sticky rice as they had run out of it. Super fresh seafood too The Tom Kha was legit great. Just the right amount of sweetness from the coconut milk alongside the paste. The prawns could have been whole instead of blanched ones from earlier to give it a lot more freshness, but I ain't complaining. Scooped up every last bit of it from the bowl Hainanese Chicken Rice - Honestly I've had countless chicken rice in my life having spent time in Singapore and this comes real close to the original. The rice was perfect (again sticky would have been better...but when in Rome) and could have dialed down the soy. The only disappointment was the chicken itself as they'd used a breast piece and it had dried up and become chewy. If only they shifted to using the thigh. The broth was perfect (again dial down the soy). Maybe get the chilli right coz that's what brings Hainanese Chicken Rice to an elevated level. Som Tam - Super perfect. Exactly how I've had in the streets of Bangkok. So much umami from the fish sauce. Maybe some crispy shallots or garlic as topping for next time Walked out a super super happy man and eventually took the time to write this review coz that's how elated I was after the meal.

We had Pad thai noodles, rice soup and chicken glass noodles. Delicious. Each dish would cost you around โ‚น 300-400 but it is very filling and worth the cost. Since we were amateurs and curious to taste everything, we order Sea food som tam which is a famous thai papaya salad. I should admit that its not recommended to those with a strong nose. Can smell stinky.

It's a cozy place with good food and good vibes . The taste of food is uper authentic and too good. If you wanna try some different cuisines , you should definitely come. They serve Thai and Chinese.
Tapaswini Ransingh
They serve very flavourful and mouthwatering food. Has become my go to place.

By far the best restaurant in Bhubaneswar! It's tiny yet cozy, and the people in-charge genuinely care about the customers. We had the Tom Kha Gai, Tonkatsu Kiyoshi, Pad Thai, and Lad Na. All of the dishes were top-tier. If you're not sure what to order, be sure to ask the lady in-charge and she'll be more than happy to help :) If you're craving Thai and Chinese food, look no further.

Best Thai food here... Really, after Thailand, it's the best one, though tried two dishes only. Definitely gonna visit soon.

I absolutely love this place! Their soups and curries are to die for!
My sister and I love Asian food and the Thai they serve here has to be one of the best we have ever had. The food is packed with flavours and the size of their portions is a lot more than you would expect it to be. The cosy interiors and friendly staff are a bonus.

If I were to suggest dishes I would insist you go for their Tom Yum Kung (soup) , chef's special steamed prawns and chicken katsu. Their pad thai, massaman curry, bbq chicken legs, and sea food mango salad are also worth trying.

A quaint and dainty place for amazing Thai food with a maximum of 4 tables. VM Aditya and I ordered the Pad Ka Prao Gai Kung and the Pla Kapong Neung Manao (Fried). The fish was nicely cooked in a tangy sauce and it is a must-try. Would definitely recommend visiting the place once!

The hospitality of the restaurant is worth praising. They serve delicious thai food. The presentation of the food is also nice. Especially the Pad thai hor kai chicken food platter and thai tom tum soup is too good.

They serve mouthwatering thai dishes. Especially the Pad Thai hor kai tasted wonderful and also the chicken food platter was too good and along with the tasty dishes they have a good hospitality.

A quiet little place with good sea food and friendly staff. Ideal for a date with self.

The best and most affordable Thai food is available here. The ambience is simple yet cosy and warm. It'll give you a sneak peek into the kind of homes traditional Thai societies have. Loved the books they have here which you can read. Everything is very homely and you can enjoy reading the books they have here while you gorge on their soups, rice and fish. Quite small in size but amazing nonetheless.
Sudeshna Panda
This is a place which is have been wanting to review since long. The interiors are simple and there are just 4 tables, so a 3/5. The service and staff behavior deserves a 4.5/5. And then let us come to the food which is excellent. The chicken clear soup was something to die for a clear 5/5 to that. Then the fried fish the main attraction looked great and tasted Divine a 5/5 to it. Complete "go too" For all sea food lovers...

One of the best places in town to try THAI food. Great ambience. Good service. It hasnt yet been highlighted much... But its really worth your time and money ! Highly Recommended!

Wonderful cozy little place. The best parts are the sevice and the food. Absolutely wonderful and authentic Thai food. You must try this if you like south east Asian food.

Friendship's Day Lunch turned memorable! Indeed !
Had heard of this cozy little place from a lot of people and it was worth the hype. Right in the middle of the city, tucked away in a quiet lane with soothing and comfortable decor.

Coming to the food, we had ordered -
----------------------------------------------
#Kai Tio Nam Sai, a clear soup with glass noodles, vegetables, boiled and seasoned chicken and egg. It was a whole meal in itself and the quantity was surprisingly a lot. All ingredients were well balanced, appealing to the palate and had a great presentation.

#Som Tam Salad (Green Papaya with peanuts) which had always been my favourite in Thai cuisine. It was really good with the right amount of crunch, tanginess, sweetness but I felt the spicy flavour was overpowering than the usual, could have been taken down a notch.

#Kai Jio Gai Sab was amazing. It was a minced vegetables and meat wrapped in omlette; melt in the mouth delicious, cook to perfection and presentation was a delight.

#Steamed rice with an Asian curry having stir fry vegetables and mushrooms. Though delicious it was a bit dry and accompanied with no curry or sauces. I'm not sure whether the dish is served that way but it was under the curry menu section, so we were disappointed when it came out dry.

Moving to the Cons -
------------------------
Good food wouldn't alone suffice; there are few hiccups that has to be worked upon seriously.
Extreme chaos in order taking and servicing, even if there were hardly any customers. Slow service and a lot of confusion.
Though the staff was courteous, at times they should refrain themselves from putting in their own two words in customer's conversation, especially if it's a personal topic.
Hence the 4 stars!

I would definitely recommend the place but one should have ample amount of time and patience to deal with the cons.
Sidhant Patra
Love this cosy little place with amazing staff and delicious food. The taste of the soup is heavenly and seafood is amazingly succulent. 10/10 would recommend.

My second visit today after a whole one year and again impressed by the love and affection the food is prepared with utmost perfection and taste with special care given to every dish ordered.

I would give it a 100 stars if I can. Small but cozy place.. Above all the food here is breathtaking.. Authentic thai food that arouses your taste buds. And to try everything on their menu is my new goal..๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š Ask them for recommendations and they will serve you the best..

WOW! be rest assured to have Thailandโ€™s authenticity here... the chef is from Thailand and all their ingredients are sourced from Thailand... the taste is just amazing... very warm staff. Tiny place but the food does more than just justice. Itโ€™s home away from home where everyone attends just like moms.

If you love sea food, this is the place to go. Must try the bhetki in Thai sauce and Pad Thai with Shrimps.
It's a small cosy establishment and service is really nice. Must visit.

This place is like the diagon alley of Bhubaneswar. Hidden in an alley in shahed nagar, it awaits with your dates. Won't be disappointed in here, brothers.

Fab Umme
The place has cute kitchen garden vibes that make you feel at ease. The food is excellent and they do serve you authentic Thai food which is amazing. The soup we ordered was the best followed by fried fish. One thing that I would like to suggest is to order less at first because the dishes are pretty filling.

The staff is extremely friendly. Do give it a visit. I bet you won't be disappointed.
Sitanshu Das
Best Thai food in Bhubaneswar. The ambiance is wonderful and above all the food is just wow... Varieties of seafood dishes are available.
must try this place. I loved it.
Suprada Susovita
Amazing and authentic thai food. Loved the tempura prawns , which were cooked perfectly , soft from inside and crunchy from outside.
Pad thai noodles is something one must try .
Really warm and cozy small dine out to spend the perfect evening along with great conversations.

A cosy little place near Inox, Sahid Nagar with a beautiful ambience. The staff is polite and the food was incredible. Fried prawns, and the crabs cooked with egg and veggies were a delight. The price comes on a bit of the higher side. But the food makes up for it . A must visit if you wish for an authentic Thai restaurant.
Sidharth Maharana
Best speciality restaurant in the city, If you're looking for authentic Thai food this is it.
Do I need to say more.๐Ÿ˜„
Staffs were well behaved and very attentive.
Tom Yum Soup & Pad Thai Noodles is highly recommended.
Seafood lovers do not miss this place.
Would love to visit this place again.๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

Cute place.
Extensive menu.
Food is real Thai depending on the time you are at the restaurant! Morning 11-12,evening after 9 pm.
We ordered a variety and requested the kitchen to add some ingredients to make it closer to Thai than Indian Thai. We were there 2-3 pm and found out the secret after. Food is fresh and they make an effort, definitely worth a second visit (when the Thai cook is there). Perhaps then can merit a higher rating.
Debolina Biswas (lemonbeings)
Pretty little place. Little blue door with cute white chairs and tables inside.

Ordered Kuai Tiao Nam Sai : A thai clear soup with glass noodles and chicken !๐Ÿœ

This soup was really light yet tasty. There were a very few flavours in this like cinnamon , garlic , coriander. Just wish there were some more tanginess and little heat in this. However , i was happy with it. No added starch , pretty glass noodles : pretty satisfied !๐Ÿœ

PS : Lesson learnt - All thai soups dont have fish oil and tomatoes ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ˜

Was in a hurry. Definitely visiting next time for some main course @asiandelicacy.thairestro !
Amirun Bisoyi
Cozy little restaurant and nice interior and quite authentic Thai cuisine. The staff are polite and listen to your concerns carefully. The Tom Yum soup was as good as I had in Thailand. Their menu has some good Thai dishes and they do justice to them. But only issue is bigger groups( more than 6 people ) will find it difficult to be seated.

ASIAN DELICACY, a small 16 seater restaurant has definitely been my find in Bhubaneswar. Been to this place three time before I write this piece. More than the food I love the passion and honesty in the restaurant owner to serve authentic Thai food, even if some dishes doesn't suit Indian taste buds.

Not everything I ordered till date was good but few dishes just stood out. MACKAREL FISH SOUP (โ‚น220) had probably had the most flavourful broth I have had in the city, it had a lot of green chillies, was less intense and the fish was perfectly poached. I couldn't eat the fish because I was a having a poached sea fish for the first time which had a stench. In my next visit I ordered the soup with BHEKTI fish and trust me I still remember the taste after 15 days. SOM TAM PAPAYA SALAD (โ‚น90) may not be the best you will have but certainly you wont get a better one in Bhubaneswar. It was sweet, sour and crunchy. It certainly had the fermented fish sauce which you can tell him to avoid. KATSU CHICKEN (โ‚น2O0) was a big 12 piece deep fried chicken platter. The chicken was moist and the batter was crumbly and crunchy. ISAN'S SEAFOOD STEAMED PLATTER (โ‚น400) was a seafood lover delight. The prawns and tilapia fish were perfectly steamed. Its a must order. STEAMED CRABS (โ‚น300) were again perfectly steamed and that green chilli sauce was fiery but fun. They used good quality prawns but I didn't like the three dotted crabs they used.

Absolute value for money, but be prepared to wait as some dishes can have longer preparation time. Not one of the greatest Thai food joint you will ever eat, but if you are a seafood lover this is a GREAT place to go, their sheer technique to cook perfect broth and steam seafood has made me a fan of this place.

#foodiesofbhubaneswar #foodgrammer #foodies #foodreview #bhubaneswar #bhubaneswarblogger #thai #thaifood #newrestaurant #seafoodlover #seafood #foodiesofcuttack

Asian Delicacy- Thai and Chinese Restaurant is one of the few restaurants in the city serving authentic Thai and Chinese cuisine with contemporary Thai dรจcor.

1) Steamed Lobster served with Seafood Sauce ๐Ÿฆ€

Nothing can get between a hungry seafood fan and the lobster of his dreams. Any lobster lover would take out time to get every last morsel out of it.ย The steam cooked lobster with its shells intact imparted a great flavour and taking the meat out from the shells was breath-taking. ๐Ÿ’ฅ
Added on its juicy delicate taste, the lobster sauce served with it was a mixture of sweet, chilli and tangy flavours made by mixing butter, lemon juice, raw garlic, red chillies and sugar together in soy sauce.
.

2) Isan's Mixed Seafood Platter ๐Ÿฅ˜

Luxe up your lunch/ dinner with your friends over this platter. Serving Deep Fried BHETKI Fish and prawns, Boiled Eggs, Som Tam (Green Papaya) salad and Noodles/Steamed Rice, this platter is enough to make you a seafood addict. The crunchy, delicate flavour of BHETKI fish and prawns; blend of Thai spices in the salad; fragrant delicious noodles and delicacy of Eggs, Isan's Mixed Seafood Platter will refresh you from within.

3) Crispy Honey Chilli Baby corn with Green Apple Mojito ๐Ÿ

This Indo-Chinese Starter was simple, tasty and flavourful. It's taste was a perfect blend of sweet, sour and spicy.

4) Som Tam Green Papaya Salad ๐Ÿฅ‘
.
.
.
Som Tam is a famous salad from Southeast Asian cuisine. Made with raw papaya, it has a spicy and tangy flavour that is really invigorating.
The tanginess of tamarind, the pungency of garlic and the spiciness of Thai red chilli are felt strongly in this recipe. Not only that, raw papaya has a very crunchy texture, which is accentuated by the garnish of crushed peanuts.
With basil, cherry tomatoes, parboiled veggies and other such exciting ingredients, the scrumptious and colourful Som Tam is a sure-shot winner.

5) Thai Fried Rice

6) Fried Prawns

7) Thai Yellow Fish Curry

8) Vietnamese Noodles

9) Pad Thai Har Kai

Follow Swati Snigdha on instagram for more reviews! ๐Ÿ™†๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ

Asian delicacy has Thai and Chinese cuisines. I had tom yum soup prepared with the ingredient in yum yum romit as I asked them and poo pad pong ka tee which is crab made with Thai spices and egg along with it. Soup was really nice and it had that authentic taste to it and quantity was good too. But I didnโ€™t like the crab dish at all. It had no taste just crab cooked in some sort of spices served with egg bhuji. I expected it will be just crab meat as it was described in the menu card but it wasnโ€™t like that. I am giving 3 stars because of the soup only and the service which was quick . I definitely shouldnโ€™t have ordered the crabs.
Deepali
awesome authentic thai fud. Affordable too. Worth repeated visits. Hainan chicken rice n Singapore noodles were out of this world. Can't wait to go again.

So this place is one of the few restaurants in town serving authentic Thai food. So I found this place as a small cozy but cute place. You can get that aroma of seafood after entering the restaurant. So tried boiled lobster with seafood sauce, boiled bhetki and fried chicken there. And yes, I tried lobster for the very first time here. The lobster was nice, not got a wow factor but the prawns were so tasty๐Ÿ˜. Coming to the fish,it was soft but the scaling wasn't done properly. And the fried chicken was very disappointing. It was so hard and chewy. The showstopper was that seafood sauce. It literally took my heart away,it went perfectly with the lobster and fish.Service was a little bit late. But the staffs were very interactive and courteous. Mediocre ambience. Do visit

Very few restaurants serve authentic Thai cuisine in the city and Asian delicacy is one of them. It's situated near SBI Bank, Saheed Nagar branch and connected to Artsy Tartsy. Small & cosy place.

Tried - Tom Yum Romit Soup, Pad Thai Hor Kai, Pla Rad Prik.
We were two & had ordered Tom Yum Romit for a single person but they had served the large portion of it, worth 350/-. A insect was found in it & we left it as it is.
Pla Rad Prik was grilled fish with Thai sauce which was just heavenly. My favorite from all the items we had tried. The sauce was the best.
Pad Thai Hor Kai was also good, wrapped in egg.

The owner is a cordial gentleman. The service took a little longer but worth the wait.
You should definitely try out this new joint if you are looking for authentic Thai food.

โ€ข Ambience - 3.8/5
โ€ข Food - 3.5/5 (Deducting 0.5 for the insect in the soup)
โ€ข Service - 4/5
โ€ข Value for money - 3.5/5
I never knew a place like this existed in BBSR. Hiding in plain sight, this authentic Thai restaurant is yet to be discovered. I had this amazing soup which had prawns and well cooked squids. The soup itself was really wholesome and delicious. The place itself is quite small but the food is being anything else. The chef is a Thai chef so you know the food is going to be authentic and delicious. The staff are really friendly and the service is extremely quick. Definitely check this out when you can.

Excellent ambiance, perhaps the only place in twin cities that serves authentic Thai food. Tried pad Thai noodles and a soup( forgot it's name which was served along with prawn and squids). Even the chef was from Thailand, and we had to use google translator to communicate.. the food was excellent, with flavours I haven't tasted anywhere else.
Himojyoti Bhowmik
Authentic Thai Food. Taste and aroma was thai and ingredients were also authentic. Only the price is on the higher side compared to the quantity. But considering that these dishes are rare in Bhubaneswar it's ok to come here. Just opposite BMC Mall on 3rd floor of the Toshali building. location was not difficult to find.Good decor. Was empty when I went but generally frequented by foreigners (chinese crowd). The place is owned by one Mr.Himanshu and his thai partners. The chef is from Thailand also. The buzz around is they can prepare special dishes from Thailand also on request. Definitely should try it.
