Review Chhotu Motu Joshi Sweet Shop - Bikaner

Chotu Motu Joshi is a Landmark in itself situated near Bikaner Railway Station known for it's delicacies like Poori Sabzi, Rasgulla and Jalebi. I tried their Poori with Aloo Sabzi which was really good. Their Jalebis are just to die for I mean I can't have that crispy and juicy Jalebi in Delhi as well. Their Kachori was just average. They are famous for Their Rasgulla also they make 2 types of Rasgulla one is spongy and one is a little bit harder but full of sweetness. Try this age old legendary shop at least once when your in Bikaner.

Budget place. Simple. Unpretentious. Very fast service. Old style. No frills. Good traditional recipes. Desi ghee prepration. Served piping hot. Doesn't cost a fortune. Value for money. Authentic food. Good for single or family visit . Paid Rs 88 for two poori and aloo sabzi.

Visited Nov 2023. Had Dana-Methi subzi & Ghee Puri, Lassi and Spongy Rasgulla. All were pretty good. Spongy Rasgulla is supposed to be less sugary than the regular. If you order puris you get four puris - I had to specify I wanted only two. I guess this is a review of the attached restaurant rather than the mithai shop ;-) Rates are very reasonable. See attached pics.

The food is simple but value for money. They serve it hot and fresh. I had poori sabji it tasted good. They do not overcharge like other restaurants which keep there price twice as high

A great place to gorge on hot and fresh jalebis! We sadly came here after breakfast so couldn't eat much. We tried the jalebis and kachori. Both were quiet excellent. The place was brimming with local people which is always an indicator of good food :-)

They have a bakery outlet as well as restaurant style dining. Different varieties of sweets are available. Locally famous shop. Their sweets tasted good. Didn't like the taste of kachori (personal opinion). Service and quality are good. For sweets prices are at an affordable range.

Their daal kachori is really good! It's so full of stuffing and loved the masala too in it. One of the best daal kachori I had. Their paneer kofta was also decent. It had slightly sweetish flavor. But all their chutney was quite sweet. And their prices are higher than most places in Bikaner. Most of the items were not available when we reached in the evening.

Well maintained old shop. Love the rustic feel of the restaurant and still maintain proper hygiene. Puri sabji tasted like 90s takes you to childhood. Jalebi also very good.

There is a sitting place next to the shop. It is an old school tiffin shop. Where you get to eat poori sabzi, poori Dana Methi, rasgulla, halma, gulab Jamun and Lassi. Do not go by look and feel of the place. The taste is so Desi and old school, if you are from Delhi then you'll feel you have travelled 40yrs back in time. A must try place.

Delightful and delicious breakfast done at dinner time. Dana Methi (Fenugreek seeds) Sabzi is unique and the Aloo sabzi is fantastic too.. kulfi after dinner, I was a bonus.. Speaking of sweets and namkeen, the bhujiya I bought was fresh, crisp & perfect.. Jalebis are surely one of the best in Rajasthan, and Moti Pak is a favourite from here.. do visit if you are in Bikaner and you won’t be disappointed with the quality and flavours

This sweets shop is undeniably famous, and after reading several reviews, I decided to pay a visit. I tried a few varieties, and I must admit, they were quite good. One thing that sets this place apart is that they require you to pay upfront before eating, which is a bit different from the usual practice. While the sweets were enjoyable, I noticed that the cleanliness could use some improvement. If you have a sweet tooth, this spot might just hit the spot for you!

Amazing taste I would say rasgulla is the specialty of the this place and it’s still taste same even after many years there taste in rasgulla has not changed since I started to eat it the prices are also not too high that’s make a different and other item like puri and sbji is also delicious the puri is so soft it melt in your mouth right after you place on your tongue woww If u going through Bikaner then you had to stop here and had breakfast or whatever you called it I can feel only one problem in the restaurant that the seating arrangements they can improve their seating arrangements I had seen that two people taken the seat of eight because there is no table is empty for the two The improves a bit on that one Else it’s pleasure going there and had a plate of rasgulla and puri and aloo sbji And lassi also sorry the cream lassi That will definitely make your day

Located on the station road this place is one of the oldest and popular sweet shops in bikaner. Specially famous for it's Poori sabji and lassi. I personally have tried 15+ shops in order to find the authentic lassi and this place tops the chart, they serve lassi in a big steel glass with fresh cream on top and it's a must try if you are going there. Also it is famous for it's sweets and rasmalai that they serve is chilled and one of the best i have ever tasted. Tip:This place don't accept UPI or Cards they take only cash and that's a major drawback but still a must try place just make sure to take cash with you. VERDICT: A must try place. If you find this helpful give it an upvote so other's can be helped as well, Thanks.

One of the oldest restaurants in Bikaner. I had aloo puri and that was ultimate. Must try. I took balushahi from here and it was awesome.

This place is famous for the right things. One for their rasgullas and second for the puri aloo with methi Dana sabzi and honestly that’s so so true. I had it once I had gone to bikaner a year ago, but this time when I traveled to Jaisalmer I specifically took the detour to have it again. Acha khane k liye itna to banta h. Also they make the best balushahi.
