Review St. Anthony's Restaurant And Bar - Calangute

Very good food, good ambience and good live music too! The seafood was very fresh and was very tasty. The pizza crust was hard, the prawn pasta very excellent and very tasty. The king fish fry and all other items were good as well. The rocher chocolate cake was a bit dry. The live musician Garry stole our hearts as we were also singing with him!!

During on-season Baga Beach is very crowded and one may want to avoid this beach. But during off season and at night even during on-season, Anthony's is a good place to have lunch/dinner. We sat 6/8 nights during our trip at Anthony's. We loved the vibe and food. Cashew masala was our absolute favorite.

We visited after a long time. It has become thrice its original size. The food is still great and yum. Calamari, fish rava fry, butter garlic prawns, choris were as usual on our list. We enjoyed the karaoke. Perhaps a suggestion here. The place we were sitting was slightly dark and to the side-back of the restaurant. Perhaps the bar can be shifted to the back and the public seating could be rearranged so we can view the huge screen.

What a vibe! Lovely beach side restaurant. This is one of the best restaurants in goa. Beside St. Anthony's there is Britos. I love both they are equally good. I always go and have lunch in Britos and dinner at St. Anthony's. This restaurant is open at night as well. Lovely DJ disco 🤘. I Would definitely recommend visiting and having a good time vibin' .

Couldn't have had enough of the ambience already, and karaoke 🎤 added to the charm! It was a wonderful experience at St. Anthony's singing and dancing our hearts out.. We missed the bollywood beats though as this place strictly plays only English songs!

Lovely shack, must try chicken roast salad and cashew feni, those were amazing. Music and lighting is not too lit during the evening. The recommended time to visit is from afternoon to pre evening.

Located right at the baga beach. Quality and taste of the food they serve is awsm. Atmosphere of the shack is live and loud. They have karaoke night almost every night.

A great beach shack really liked the sitting and good crowd, there was Dj as well as karoke which is really nice concept for goa, the food was delicious, we had hara bhara kabab , fish , dal , fries everything was upto the mark only the pasta was a bit sweet so did not liked that but overall food was great, mr kuldeep was our server for the day and he was on his toes during the whole time.

Had been here for new year eve and must say it was very badly organised and the staff was very uncooperative..The quality of food was bad and the chicken served was half cooked when we showed it to the manager “Sachin” he replaced it but when it came back it was the same chicken that was again cooked than replacing the dish. Subsequent dishes were equally pathetic. we requested if the bill can be adjusted against the entry of 2k which we paid as just entry and they said we even have to pay for the food which we did not eat as the food quality was pathetic. The place was absolutely deserted until 10.30 pm with no people comming into this place however the place next to st anthony which is brittos was fully packed and had a vet decent crowd..I certainly do not recommend this place for hangout or even ordering food...They had all the plans to spoil our NYE and we paid what they asked for and stepped out at the final hour to celebrate our NY.

Worst place to celebrate new year's party. This place is a cash grab.<br/><br/>They charged INR 1500 per couple as entry fee to the New Year's Eve party 2019-2020.<br/><br/>The food was of the worst quality and taste and the management refused to replace some of the dishes.<br/><br/>We asked for a refund of entry fee or it's adjustment against the food bill but they refused and did not rectify the issues.<br/><br/>We had to pay for all items irrespective of whether we could eat them or not and had to leave and go next door.<br/><br/>Interestingly, Britto's and many other shacks next door were not charging any entry fee and were packed with people.<br/><br/>This place was near empty at 9PM. They could not justify the entry fee with poor food and customer service.

This place is famous for its beachside view, karaoke and most important, the party vibes.<br/>The food here was also good. My friends and I tried the following dishes:<br/><br/>Chicken Crispy: Well cooked chicken and really good taste.<br/>Beef Xacuti: The coconut enriched dish was just amazing. The beef and coconut and the masala went so well together that it was just amazing.<br/><br/>Beef Vindaloo: The authentic Goan Red Curry that was there in this dish was really good. It gave a sweet, tangy and spicy taste at the same time.<br/>These dishes went well with any type of roti or naan.<br/><br/>There was indoor as well as beach seating.<br/>The karaoke and the DJ in this place were just amazing. Overall, this restaurant is really good to chill, relax and enjoy the Goa vibes.

Terrible experience. I have never seen staff more indifferent to their customers. Got a table at 3:30 on a Sunday. Caught the attention of 3 separate waiters who refused to take our order saying a different waiter would come to take our order. This waiter never materialized. Called the waiter servicing the neighbouring table( who again refused to take our order ) and asked him to call for this waiter. He decided to stand around and proceeded to walked away mid conversation. At 4, i walked to the manager and had our order placed. They connived to mess it up in a manner which would be impossible if not intentional. Ordered a sweet and salt lime water and a salty lime soda. The lime soda was sweet. The lime water was a slice of lime in sea water. They probably added a spoon of salt to the sea water for added effect. At the risk of emptying my stomach, i sent it back and got just a sweet lime water. We decided not to risk the food and left shortly after.

A beach shack, this place is perfect for any type of outing! We were asked to make a minimum bill of Rs5000 where as there were people siting with a single pint of beer. After having a word with the management they were least concerned for thier customers. We were 10 friends. How dumb can the management be after looking at 10 guys eagerly waiting for some beers and have something to eat and the bill will be still decent enough. But they were more concerned enough about how much business they can make.

Although I find this place a bit expensive in my range, nothing can beat this crab wrapped prawns.<br/><br/>Love this dish and haven't found this anywhere else. Comes with 10 pieces and so filling even for 2 people.<br/><br/>Must try for prawns lover.<br/><br/>Happy eating. God blesd

I have been here twice in my last visit to Goa. A perfect place to chill with family/friends with good music and endless sea in front. We had tried quite a few items, but the Sea Food Platter is the one I loved the most.

Beautiful place located on Baga beach and we'll known for its karaoke nights and outdoor sitting (on beach in sand). Food is good but you must visit this place for karaoke nights followed by DJ sessions. Even if this place is lit at nights, they sometimes play live music during day time which is fun too.

This place has been our fav place in Goa! Its a must visit place for us to visit whenever we are in Goa! We love the karaoke music set up! DJ is always fab here always!! Staff is very much courteous and attentive! Talking about food, recently we tried paneer chilly dry, fried rice, fries , mix sauce pasta! Food is served hot and service is very quick as well! People looking for jain food in goa- this place serves good no. Of variety of dishes!!!! We remember cheese naan over here so much as that is made really well as well over here! Sheesha served here is too good! The view + food + drinks + sheesha = perfect evening!!!

One of the most popular place at Baga Beach. The music was very very inviting. It was switching from live music to hit ones. The ambience of this place was just beyond awesome with sea veiw and soothing music and good food. It was jam packed and we struggled alot to find seats for us since we were 12 people. The staff was considerate and services were quick as well. We ordered proper North Indian food like Kadai Paneer, Mix Veg, Dal Tadka, Butter Chicken, Fish Curry, Crab and rice and breads. At some moments, I will definitely like to hide this place but then this one needs all your attention! Located next to brittos, this place serves alcohol is real dirt cheap prices! The food is decent: you do not expect any wonders but it is definitely homely! We went here for breakfast so my review is based on that experience. I'm sure the vibe is a lot different in the evening. Food was not that great, we ordered baked bean toast and some fruits and yogurt. The fresh lime water was very tasty though. The shack has a good view of the beach, so that's a plus.

It has the best ever Prawns Rechado that I have tasted in Goa so far. Also, not to forget the Prawn curry and rice, Pomfret Tandoori, Stuffed Crabs, which are all an absolute recommend from my side at St.Anthony's.<br/>They can be priced on the higher side but I don't mind paying it because the taste is just worth it all. Also not to forget the lively ambiance with Karaoke music all year long.

St Anthony’s is a really popular karaoke place which is full even in off season. They have indoor and outdoor seating with a lot of space. They’re famous for karaoke but they’re smart enough to have the dance floor open alternately apart from karaoke. We ordered -<br/>1. Squids- good enough<br/>2. Chilly chicken - disappointed with the marination and frying<br/>3. Chilli paneer - amazing sauce because they didn’t fry the marinated paneer<br/>4. Slow service even in off season. Must try dish Mustard Chilly Fish. Fish tikka quantity was not as per the price but I can get that considering its Anthony's.

St Anthony’s to me is a late night hangout place during summers at Baga where you can enjoy after dinner drinks and a hookah. Located right at the beach, they serve good food, the ambience is just right and the best part is that they are open till late at night!

Best Party place with a party dancing floor in Baga. We landed here for weekend party. One of the best shacks in Baga. Food tastes really good here. Their fish fingers are to die for.

Lively, musical, scenic and yummy evening was spent at Anthony's. They have the best music and the karaoke brought the entire place to life. We had amazing time drinking, eating and enjoying our hookah with beach just few meters ahead of us.

Found the place too expensive and the food mediocre.. Had an advantage to be on a prime location and on the beach, but during my visit was given a corner seat with a view of extra junk furniture.. didn’t find paying an extra premium for such view something i would like. Service wasnt equally good... Limited brands available for beer as most of the beers were out of stock... that too on a friday at 2:00pm..

They've got some ridiculous logic where they calculate a tables minimum bill based on numbers of members present. 8 of us were expect to order for 5000 and they went around with the rules as the liked.

Love the place and ambience. Amazing. You can definitely visit and have some drinks. It's open till early morning. However the food is not upto the mark. We ordered chicken Colombia, plain rice and prawn vindaloo. Both chicken n prawns were not good in taste and both the meats were old and frozen.

Birthday dinner was at St. Anthony's. Enjoyed the Calamari Fry and Chicken Crispy. Also the vibe is amazing, had so much fun dancing and singing at the karaoke. Overall had a great time, definitely want to go back!

This was a really lovely place. Also one of the oldest lounges on Baga. We went with our office team, so there were like 60people in our group. Their services were really good. Really helpful staffs and yea really really good music... Karaoke 🥰

Baga is always over crowded but this place will always have space for you. Sitting arrangement is outside as well where you can feel the fresh breeze while dining. Karaoke adds a fun quotient for families and groups. Waiters can be more polite than usual, rest is all good.

Gary(karaoke) made sure every individual at the shack forgot about the heat and got lost in the music and sang along with him .. The service is decent and the staff is polite 👍 day or night it's a peaceful place to relax. 😊

Finally after hearing so much about this place, landed here on a Saturday evening. Thought we came late at night around 1.30 am, both inside and outside sections were packed. Had beef peri peri was good but pork chilly was much better. One of the best pork chilly in town. Karaoke was fun too.

My experience at St Anthony's at Baga was good. The service is good, food quality is awesome.They serve good hookah as well. The best time to go here is post 4:30pm once the heat is down piture perfect to have a beer with good food and hookah by the beach.

Have been here many times over last 5 years. Had dinner here during my recent visit this month. Dishes tried<br/><br/>Fried rice<br/>Chilly chicken<br/>Butter chicken<br/>Paneer<br/>Dal<br/><br/>Average taste. Prices have increased and are too high for the food served. But that's the same case with all shacks in Goa. Food taste and quality is better here compared to few nearby shacks.<br/>

St. Anthony's boasts of comfortable cane chairs and tables lining the length of the restaurant and facing the beach. Belonging to the Fat Fish management, the restaurant also faces the scenic Baga beach and it's colony of beach chairs, colourful umbrellas and scantily clad tourists.<br/><br/>Despite the summer heat and humidity of Goa, the interiors are cool and inviting and we are welcomed by Mithun our attendant.<br/><br/>A very sweet and shy young lad, he waits patiently as we deliberate over what to order, and finally decide on a pint of chilled Kingfisher Premium (₹100) , a plate of Prawns Koliwada (₹550), a plate of Chicken Crispy (₹300) and later 2 pints of delicious, thirsty quenching, chilled Desperados (₹350 each).<br/><br/>Try the Desperados, a Mexican beer laced with Tequila! It is SIMPLY superb!!<br/><br/>The food is good and the prices are easy on the wallet at St Anthony's.<br/><br/>Ample parking around the corner opposite the entrance to Baga Beach.<br/><br/>A good place to lay back and watch the world go by while Mithun and his colleagues attend to you.

I have been visiting this place since last 2 yrs, food quality has been changed, cocktails taste like shot and pathetic service. Never gonna visit here after

Pathetic. What a let down from our last visit 2 years back. Tacky interiors. Dirty music choices , terrible crowd and worse inflated unreasonable prices and careless staff. Hookah was very harsh despite the numerous times we changed it. It's lost its vibe. Please avoid it.

Amazing and lip smacking Food. Karaoke night with all songs from early 80's and 90's made our night. Very well cooked non-veg dishes and equally tasty veg food. Highly recommended for a visit after 10 PM, that is when the real mood of Goa sets in.

St. Anthony’s is a big shack just at Baga beach. We occupied the beachside seating since the weather was pleasant that day. Surprisingly every group that came occupied this area only. Our orders included Calamari masala fry, Prawn fry, Chicken dry fry, rice/roti with Prawn curry and Chicken curry, some beer, and sweet lime juice. Food was pretty good, with decent cost-to-quantity ratio. Five of us gobbled up everything.<br/><br/>They have hookah too, which people were enjoying while getting a massage done by the beach. There is ample seating space available here. Music can get jarring sometimes, but I guess you would enjoy it after a few drinks down. It is disappointing that they don’t offer parking space to customers right outside their venue, to make use of the paid parking nearby. Anyway, you would enjoy the good food and beach vibes here.

This place is next to the very famous Britto’s. It serves decent food, but the staff makes the experience bad. They would be very stringent in letting you choose the table. Music isn’t either very nice to make up for the bad behaving staff. You have to pay I guess to request a song. Also their Hukka was equally bad experience.

One of the best places to visit in Goa usually at night near Baga Beach and Calangute. The ambience is very good, you can find standard people here. There is also dance Floor and Projector and also Karaoke. Order is fast. Ordered kingfisher Pitcher Tower, And Cocktails. In Food ordered Chicken Chilly, Chicken Manchurian,Paneer Chilly,Prawns Rice. New Year's Review <br/><br/>Photographer - His attitude was arrogant. Kindly make sure you'll don't hire such kind of photograpers, Especially on important days like new years. <br/><br/><br/>Music = 1 / 10<br/>Beginning with the music the Dj played music which wasn't up to the mark. The choice of songs was poor for a new year's eve party. There was technical problems with the music system which was disappointing. <br/><br/>Food = 3.5/ 5<br/>The food was good. Beef chilly is recommended. <br/><br/><br/><br/>Over all experience - Wasn't up to the mark. <br/><br/>

The location is a big thumbs up for this place. The place does have a good vibes with daily karaoke however the service is slow. The food is not that great in terms of quantity and quality. It’s a bit over priced as well. <br/><br/>Things we ordered:<br/>Tandoori prawns: The dish was looking great. You get 8 pieces of prawns served with fries, mayonnaise and sprouts salad. Talking about prawns, they were cooked well but the masala could have been better in terms of taste. Sprouts salad had no dressings so was very bland. I would rate this dish a 3/5<br/><br/>Baked crabs: This dish comes with 3 small baked crabs with shells served with some fried n spouted moong salad. The crabs were very well baked but lacked basic salt n pepper hence found it bland. The filing is crab meat with cheese. I would rate it 3.5/5<br/><br/>Pork chilly: This dish was just epic. Perfectly cooked pork very well marinated with green pepper n chillies. A total winner among all that I tried. Pls do consider ordering this if u r a pork fan. Rating would definitely be 4.5/5<br/><br/>Overall a good decent experience. I will surely visit this place again to explore few more food options that the place has to offer. <br/><br/>P.S Do give this place a try for good ambience, karaoke n decent dance floor.

Had their fish and chips and Chicken Tikka.<br/><br/>It's the best I have had till date!<br/>Definitely recommend it!<br/><br/>Also had their cheesecake.<br/>But wouldn't recommend their dessert selection at all.

Food is good. Ambiance is also good. Here waiters are not on salary basis but they get 2.5% of your bill amount and this gives tuff time in selecting your table. And there is no coordination between the staff. Management should look into this as customers face many problems due to this.

Cool place with good food, drinks and music. They have karaoke at nights. Superb service and lively ambience. Perfect to spend evenings on the shore of bags beach!

It was one of my favourite party places in goa n have been going there frequently. But this time was disappointed as they have closed the dance floor n no loud music after 10:00 for some political reasons which is understandable but the service is really slow. Food is good though. Must try is mutton masala n chicken dum miryani. Need to work a bit on service.

Is good for Karaoke, other music. Location is good. Food quality is average with high prices. Service time moderate, but staff behaviour don't ask!! Visit this place only if you don't have respect of yourself and your family. Better luck if you are north Indian or foreigner. Go to Brittos instead

After reading the reviews, went here with lot if expectations and was disappointed to the core.<br/>We ordered chicken tawa fry, which was more like tandoori with not cooked masala and tuff chicken, seemed liked it was not fresh at all.<br/>The salad along with it was bitter, mostly because of cucumber in it. The fries were good.<br/>The pork roast was only good dish, but again roasted along with barbecue sause so it had to taste good.<br/>And worst dish, dal makhani. They boiled beans and put some masala and served it. Absolutely tasteless.<br/><br/>Ambience is good, music is subtle, staff are friendly and situated on the baga beach.<br/>Over rated for the food and drinks.<br/>Not worth the visit at all.

Located at Baga Beach, St. Anthony's used to be one of our favorite beach shacks in North Goa. However, over time, the service as well as quality of food is definitely not the same. While the place does have good vibes with daily karaoke and good music, the service is extremely slow. We had to figure out where to sit on our own because there was nobody to attend to us for a while.<br/><br/>They serve Sheesha, which is timed and the Sheesha guys will constantly be reminding you of the time left for returning it back.<br/><br/>The food menu seems overpriced given the overall quality and experience.

Destination for one and all in baga , very old and very famous karoake club , For me the reason to love this place is FOOD , especially indian food , it can be compared to any authentic food restaurant it wont fail , they serve sheesha too if you opt for and also beach sitting.<br/>

We been to this restaurant with high expectations but it was totally disappointed by looking of there food( specially paneer & dal makhani).....the worst food I had ever.<br/>I'll never visit this place again.

The food quality is not value for money specially Dal makhani was like a yellow gravy n full spicy tasteless. when i asked service guys they told me our chef is not professional.Service was ok and ambiance was very good. Never visit this place .<br/>

Huge place with a sea facing view. If you wanna try crabs, this is the place you should visit. Chilled beer and good food, service is not up to the mark though!
