Excellent Ambience, Excellent Food and the best thing about this place is the service. Very fast and friendly. We came to the restaurant as a party of 23 people and the first floor was made exclusive to us. Would definitely recommend this place!
Volston Lewis
Loved the food and ambiance. Also the service was really good and friendly staff. Washrooms are clean on the 1st floor.

Visited on: 4th jun'23 The waiters doesn't even know English or other languages and only speak Hindi. Food recommendations: 1) chow chow bath(4/5) 2) poha(3/5) 3) idli and vada(3/5) 4) poori bhaji(3.5/5) 5) plain ravva dosa(3/5) 6) onion ravva dosa(3/5) Pros: 1) proper parking space. 2) enough space inside. 3) north-Indian, south Indian foods available. 4) moderate prices. Cons: 1) Difficult to convey to the waiter our order. As he doesn't know other language except hindi. 2) Quantity was very less they are offering for all kinds of food.

Veg south Indian food, fantastic taste. Can try all dishes one by one as need.

A very good vegetarian restaurant serving very good South Indian breakfast. This is our favourite breakfast place when we come to Goa and stay near Calungute or Baga. The dosas here are yummy. The restaurant is quite busy and you need to struggle to get attention of the waiters. But the service is fast. There's a bit of parking issue. You will have to manage by street side.

It's a quintessential South Indian breakfast place. Authentic taste, atmosphere and a wonderful host! I have been here 7 times in 5 days. They serve the best filter coffee in Goa. I would recommend it for a clean, hygienic and calm dining preference. Shout out to Shiv for being a wonderful host.
Kamal
One of the best place to have food in goa (near calangute beach) , if you are vegetarian then this is the place you mush have food . We order kaju masala and test was excellent. Price was minimal compared with tourist place and locality. You will get verity of breakfast for morning .
Lakshmi Biradar
This is place safe place for vegetarian people. Taste and quality of the food is good. If you are looking for South indian food in Goa this is the place. Their price is very high so definitely not pocket friendly. Service is damn slow. They accept only cash payment. When asked why not digital payment they gave reason of post covid pandemic situation. Wash rooms can be kept more clean and tidy.

We are Bangaloreans. We never liked food in Goa and were really struggling to find a nice south Indian restaurant. We finally found this place which has great food. Run by Kannadigas, this place really feels homely. I give 5+ stars for the food here. Do not miss the Mysore Masala Dosa and their Filter Coffee. Staff is really friendly. We South Indians are saved because of such authentic Kannada restaurants in Goa :)
Aashish Thakkar
Best Veg restaurant for breakfast lunch and dinner. Taste and quality is top notch. Suggest not to go to Navrathna udupi as their quality and taste is poor
Nikolai
Very good and authentic food, and also very cheap. Would visit again! Their dosa and crispy potatoes were extra good. Great service as well! No AC, but great fans.

The food is delicious # Never expected Vegetarian food to be so exciting & yummy.. I have only one qualm.. the service is very slow.. it took me 1 & 1/2 hour to finish my lunch.. It is a good place. I recommend it. But the wait is un bearable specially when hungry

Merely you find any tasty food in Goa but If you looking for tasty and hygienic food in Goa, this is must visit place for breakfast. We loved the taste and had breakfast all the three days during our stay at Calangute.

Food is so authentic, i loved to eat upma and tea, thali is the best option to eat, so reasonable and tasty food, ambience is so clean n nice. Superb experience. This is my second visit, i always prefer to have food here.

This is one of the pure vegetarian restaurants in Calangute area and you will get both the north indian and south indian dishes to eat. The restaurant opens at 8 AM in the morning and you will get a tasty breakfast and a coffee if you are a coffee lover. The price of all the dishes are quite expensive as you won't get pure vegetarian menu options in this area. The restaurant accept the card payments without extra amount which is good in this area. You will also get fresh fruit juices here.

Normally 5 stars are rare, but this hotel desrves it. After staying at a well known 5star hotel for two days for an office trip, i n my partner was totally looking for some good spicy veg food. So we ordered Paneer Lahori which is medium spicy with butter naan and roti. The special thing is the taste which is really good and made our soul satisfied. Sweet lassi and buttermilk was also upto the mark. At the end it concludes with the Pan. Overall a very good experience with good service.

Our favourite place in Goa for some amazing veg food right from idly dosa to schezwan Fride rice, trust me no other place provide better veg food. We almost have our breakfast lunch and dinner at this amazing place... Thanks guys for giving us the homely feeling

It's a delight for someone who loves south indian food. I've had uttapam and masala dosa. The taste was good and was at a reasonable price.<br/><br/>Not so polite staff<br/>Tap not working<br/>Cold sambar<br/>Extremely less chutney<br/><br/>And when asked for more you're said that you will be charged more if you ask again

Expecting authentic South Indian food in goa may be too much was my thought - but I was wrong. This place is not only using the name as Udupi(which is known to serve lipsmaching South Indian food) but also have chefs from Udupi!!! That is a big positive where the food tastes very nice and the staff are very friendly...<br/>Such a place in Goa is very rare - this really helps parents who go with smaller kids as this was my personnel experience also.<br/><br/>The Rava dose was such a hit for my daughter who all days ended up having the same. We tried various other options, like pulav and not to forget poori, along with good fresh fruit juice which is a must have in a humid place like this.<br/><br/>Overall I wud surely visit this place next time also for the delicious dosas and poori and juices!
Anuja Kalantri
The place is located near calagut beach. Food is ok. The South Indian dishes are amazing but pav bhaji is below average. The service is fast. The costs are economical.

Worst place ........ Worst staff ...... These people are bullies and goons<br/>They don't know how to talk to people and behave<br/>Aggressive like hell<br/>License cancel hona chahiye inka<br/><br/>Food is below average

Wanted to have veg on this very day of 25th Dec, so decided to eat some south Indian stuff. Ordered for uttapa, masala dosa. Then decided to order, veg jalfrezi, rotis and veg biryani.<br/><br/>Firstly they don't mention timings for puri bhaji, or medu vada like items. When asked for these items, they conveniently say you can get only idlis. That too they are not hot. I was ridiculous to hear this reply. Then I went ahead by ordering dosas and uthapas. So called masala dosa had the potato sabzi for the namesake, thought it was the leftover from the kitchen. Chutni was not at all of udipi standards. Don't know what should I order in an udipi restaurant now. So went ahead with some sabzi and roti.<br/>Then came a turn to order veg jalfrezi. Imagine getting a reply from the waiter, "I will check with kitchen if jalfrezi is left". That made me think, are the veggies prepared and kept ready like a canteen. So that if someone orders, one can serve it. Lucky enough to get it, but it wasn't as expected.<br/>Food served is what makes the eating place unique, but failure to do so, makes the eating experience not so great.<br/>CA Ranna Navalkar Baindur

Kept us waiting for order to arrive for more than 30 min and then when enquired was told that our order was never taken at all... The waiter<br/>being new just forgot it... Ridiculous service!!
Kumar
Ordered for Rotis for takeaway. Just because of small order the man in charge passed on another number and that other guy agreed but never delivered. After waiting for more than 2 hours and repeated calls going unanswered whole afternoon was spoilt with a growling empty stomach. Zero stars!
Kapil Bhardwaj
The original (my version) taste of sambhar was simply delicious! Ordered Mysore Masala Dosa, Masala Dosa and Medu Vada, all of them prepared very well! The coffee smelled awesome and was good to taste too!
Abhishek Prakash
For every south indian lover this place is a must, this food will get you a good day start even after a hungover morning, the vada and dosa are amazing, the sambar and chutneys taste makes it evident that it was made by a south indian😂interestingly the chole bhature was also good, uttapam highly recommended for this place.
Harshitha Kumble
After a tiring day , my South Indian buds wanted to eat other than the continental food so headed out here ! Had the best idlis with sambar and uttapam for dinner!<br/>Nothing fancy but a good vegetarian restaurant
Atigya Mishra
It's a pure veg restaurant located in Calungute, Goa. <br/>Awesome food with nice pricing.<br/>If you are searching for amazing North Indian food then it's a must visit place.<br/>
Manav Saxena
Average food with ugly Ambience. Needs to improve on taste of food and upgrade Ambience. Doesnt accept credit cards either. Wouldn't be able to sustain much long in business.
Hiral Gada Nishar
We had our perfect breakfast here.<br/>The food here was yummy and taste just perfect...<br/>We had idli, mendu vada , masala dosa, upma and uttapa and tea... everything here satisfied us and were filling ... even the chutney and Sambhar were up to the mark.. do visit... for vegetarian and South Indian lover...

Food - 4/5<br/>Ambience - 3/5<br/>Service - 4/5<br/>Value for money - 4/5<br/><br/>Puri was crispy and good , Idli was soft while cutney was really fresh and sambar was warm and sweet..<br/>Masala dosa was great in taste..<br/>Overall morning breakfast experience was delicious and mouthwatering !!

Whether it's before or after a long day exploring Goa, this place will fill you up well and you'll walk out satisfied.<br/>A nice Udupi Joint in Calangute.<br/>Friendly staff and prompt service. <br/>Pav Bhaji is delicious and so is their Masala Dosa.<br/>Paneer Kadai and Veg Biryani is good if you're looking for North Indian. <br/><br/>P.S. Not too heavy for your pockets as well!<br/><br/>
Prabhat Ranjan
The place is good for south indian food.. <br/>We ordered masala dosa, fried idli and juices.. <br/>Vanilla milk shake is very terrible here.. Watermelon juice was ok.. <br/>Place offers both indoor as well as outdoor sitting...

Good place to have breakfast, we reached mapusa around 9am and on the way to calangute lies this udipi hotel. The taste is okay but the prices are higher. We had idli/wada which is served like one single idli and onle single wada and it costed us rs60 .<br/><br/>Location 5/5<br/>Taste 4/5<br/>Price 2/5

Very poor service... We order Pav Bhaji, Dal Khichadi & Veg Grilled Sandwich. When we ask for onion along with Dal Khichadi they said they do not serve this with Dal Khichadi even they not serve papad with it. Giving 2 star because of food.
Sandeep Lohar
Very bad service, arrogant staff. Stale sambar with idli. Don't visit this place. You have to wait for 20 mins to get coffee. They claim its pure veg, but idli smell like fish. <br/>We are very disappointed with the hotel. Not worth to eat here.
Akshat Agarwal
On point, no frills cuisine from the South. Extremely prompt service. Courteous staff, and some quirky dishes. Nowhere near fine dining, but if you have a time constraint, this place won't let you down. <br/><br/>Do try the banana uttapam, and the cheese pao bhaji.
Rahul
Don't waste your money here go to some other restraunt. 2 stars for Mango lassi and plain lassi. I ordered rawa Masala dosa and it was horrible and sambhar is just like water.

A must visit at this restaurant when you are in goa and are vegetarian.....<br/><br/>This restaurant is inexpensive and provides amazing food.<br/>But the rates differ if you go on first floor rather than ground.

Looks like a budget restaurant but prices are high . Taste was ok . Should improve the quality and the ambience . But compared to other restaurants it was a bit cheaper
Garima Juneja
Good basic eating joint. Go - to place for south indian food. Dosa, Idli, Uttapam all taste good. Service is very quick. Is priced very reasonably. 70 for dosa and 80 for utthapam. No ambiance - just simple dhaba kind for eating on the go and affordable food.
Arpit Verma
Good for quick bites and pure veg. We had Pav bhaji and dosa, both were good. It is on main calangute road , hence easy access. Gud option for people looking for pure veg snacks.
Sridhar K Adhisheshaiah
Its been a year , writing about this as i found it now on Zomato <br/><br/>Visited this place for a quick eveing snack<br/><br/>We were a group of 5, Ordered Dosa, Idly and Vada. In Goa, around 9 in the morning tasting something South Indian, Bangalore kind of food was a true blessing. <br/><br/>Taste was decent, Idly was too dry and hard , Sambar and Chutney was average.<br/><br/>Dosa was worth mentioning and tasty . <br/><br/>A good way to start a day in Goa being a Veggie

Was a regular to this place but the quality has gone down. Service is pathetic and they serve you as if they are doing you a favor. This was a good place with good food till a month back but now wouldn't recommend it to anyone... Milkshakes are so watered down that they taste like flavored water. Food which used to be awesome is now just average.
Krish Khandelwal
Good place to have a decent and light meal. They have many options in their menu. Quality of food was good as well. Can go here for breakfast or lunch!
Vaishali Murali
This is one of the authentic veg south Indian mostly udupi style restaurant in Goa. Food is quite good but service is slow in A/C section. The coconut dosa is unique here and was really nice. South Indian meals are good. Good place to visit once when you are in Goa.
Vicky Arora
The only south Indian restaurant (shetty restaurant - as I commonly call them in mumbai) in Goa that knows the difference between a sambar and sour dal. The best sambar you can get in Goa for sure. Soft idlis, crispy vadas and dosas is the speciality of this place. The south Indian meal/thali at its best.

UDIPI ANAND SAGAR NAME ITSELF DISCRIBES ANAND SE KHANA KHAO.. NICE PURE VEG RESTO NEAR CALANGUTE. FOOD IS AWESME ANY THING U HAVE. STAFF IS ALSO GOOD OVER HERE.. ANYTYM I VISIT GOA I WILL BE HERE FOR MY HUNGRY STOMACH... ☺☺
Darshit Kanziya
Decent In Goa must say it is a budget friendly restaurant. Veg people would definitely give a try . Very near to Calangut beach ... Yes its a decent one .
Vinit JAGWANI
Goa and Vegetarians, difficult to get yummy vegetarian food and this is a must go, it reminded me of Mumbai's finger foods, the one I was desperately waiting for to eat. You won't get a five star ambience, the staff is decently behaved, quantity and quality is good, most of all eating this type of food was satisfying eating 3 days only Punjabi. Do go and visit!
Manu Gupta
Value for money... The only thing you get here. A bang for your buck. The food though not bad but isn't quite good either. What this place lacks is genuine service. We ordered Masala Dosas and after a wait of an eternity, got plain dosas and those too cold .. The crew cooperatively Returned them and provided us with the Masala Dosas (again after a wait of an eternity). The taste was good for the price but don't expect too much. The Coffee was good but the tea was too sweet with too much water. The cleanliness also required some focus. All in all, a place to eat if you're minding your pocket and for the amount they charge, what was provided was okay.
Santosh Alby
Good place for a quick bite. We ordered for the Idli Vada (dipped in sambar) for which they charged Rs.10/- extra which was ridiculous coz in Bangalore tats the way its served, then comes the poori bhaji...bhaji was a major let down. The only gud thing was the chutney which helped me finish the poori. Well if your not particular about these details then u can go here, as for me its a no go place.<br/><br/>Ambiance : 3/5<br/>Service : 3.5/5<br/>Food : 2.5/5<br/>VFM : 3/5

A vegetarians delight in Goa!! Go , Run, grab some tasty south indian food. A brilliantly made sambhar with softest idlis I have ever had!! Quiet a change after eating so much chicken and cheese for three days! Had just 15 minutes to eat this as we had a flight to catch! But must say, the best thing we could have done in last 15 minutes in Goa!

The reason which compelled ME to have an idli/sambhar + South Indian thali in Goa had to have a reason in itself .. and a really big one.<br/><br/>And we did have a few.<br/>1. literally 12-15 minutes to eat and all the things fitted well<br/>- climbing to the 1st floor + taking the seat - 1 minute<br/>- idli sambhar arriving - 2 minutes<br/>- thali minus pooris plus rotis - 3 minutes<br/>- eating time - 10 minutes<br/>2. had to return the scooty, head back home with our friends's food, catch the cab to airport which was already waiting, finish up the packing +++<br/>3. there was no chicken xacuti in sight :(<br/><br/>The food had to be good..there was no doubt about it.. even before we had started to gorge and it was. <br/>- Pure and fresh food<br/>- right amount of flavour and soft idlis<br/>- and "I am hungry even after the meal" <br/>is the signature of a wonderful South Indian Vegetarian restaurant for me and Udupi Anand Sagar scored highly in all the 3 departments :D<br/><br/>Jokes apart .. poor vegetarians missing Indian food should head up here for a change and they won't go back disappointed.<br/>PS - If vegetarians love animals so much ... why do they eat all their food ?? :P

Dead Slow service. <br/>Masala dosa is red chatani coated dosa, kids who expect regular brown white type dosa will reject it straight away. My kid refused to touch as he found it spicy. Had to order plan dosa and potato sabji separatly. Wasted first half an hr to wait and again half an hr.<br/>Still with this experience, we fool again went in the evening and had same experiene, this time american choopsy that kids had teo bites and left as it had so maby fruits and had very little tomato sause which is common in pune mumbai restaurants. We also tried sweet corn soup that turned out to be sabudana khir kind of, no trace of sweet corn. Both these servings took half an hour. Kids really started crying out of hunger. Finally we had two bites each of both the items and left aftet paying Rs 290/-. <br/><br/>Finally had awsm food with four minutes serving time at Hotel Navatara which is few hundred feets ahead of this place, just after dominoz.<br/><br/>Dont waste time and money at udupi anand sagar.

The best chai you could get! For the people who need that morning refreshing desi chai kick this is the place to be at in Goa! Been around whole town to find my perfect chai moment! Finally here I found my lovely refreshing chai!

Have had their dal khichdi, medu wada, dosas, spring roll and masala papad this year around. Safest option for the vegetarians. They stop serving after 11 pm. Considering you're in Goa, one suggestion would be to keep up till late.
Chetan Khamkar
Its a very good pure vegetarian restaurant . was a walking distance & being vegetarian myself .. it served me well for my breakfast option . Its near St. Chapel at Calangute ..  Taste of the south Indian food is decent not very great same goes for north indian menu .. but preparation and presentation is sincere and heartfelt ...<br/>Parking is a issue here as it corners a junction ..  overall hygiene of this place is good .. & its a typical Mumbai type udipi restos.... Service is a little slow when it comes to peak hours ..  <br/><br/>Taste  :  7/10<br/>Service : 7/10<br/>Ambience : 7/10<br/>Value for money  : 8/10<br/>Location : 8/10<br/>Variety on menu : 8/10

After craving for some good south Indian food, found this place and went there. The restaurant has some excellent tava pulav and pav bhaji along with delicious range of dosas. Be sure to order tava pulav with whatever order you place.

You're vegetarian and having trouble to find a good place to grab a bite to eat after all the party u did this is the perfect place the Punjabi food, the South Indian snacks are not only lip smacking but also stomach and pocket friendly I really like this place and in my 4 trips to goa one of my lunch and brakefast is fixed in this place I highly recommend this place to foodies and party rockers like me in goa

As Udupi named attached we thought of having some authentic South Indian in Goa, but big time disappointment. Very ordinary place with average food .  <br/><br/>#Thenaivegourmand

Food was good... Service was also fast...Good option for vaggies in Calangut area... Place is often crowded... As usual with all Udipi, South Indian food is very good...
Prasad Surkund
Regular Udupi Restaurant. Packed BF twice in last 2 days. The Sambhar and chutney with Dosa, Idli and Vada dishes was good. Is open early and has quick service.
Shakti
For all veggies wondering what to eat in a sea food heaven Goa specifically those who hang out in Calungate can check out this hotel for breakfast, lunch and dinner.... They did not serve north indian thali when i visited this month but the south indian thali was very sumptuous and resonably priced @100/120... First thing i liked about it was the place was ver neat and clean. Servicing was very good. Location on the calungate-candolim main road that made it very easily accessible in the way ... So i didnot look out for any other veg placed as my focus was entirely to cover beaches, forts and night life .... Eat well and enjoy Goa..😀
Amitabh Saraff
Proper Udipi place in Calangute area. The ambience is like a normal average restaurant with average hygiene (in fact the washrooms were unhygienic). Service is good as waiters are polite and warm. It's quick too. Food is well presented and decent, though I did not like the batter of Dosa personally. My family felt it was good. The pav bhaji was decent. <br/><br/>Overall, ok from Goa standards.
Altamash Aslam
A typical pure vegetarian south Indian restaurant. Tried idlis and coffee for breakfast. Nothing that great. Average tasting food and slow service.

Anand sagar is basically best in Calangute, Pure Veg, Enough quantity served, Gud taste, Good Service and nearly walking distance from Sunkissed plaza and Supermarkets.<br/>
MANAN SHAH
A very good option for vegans in calangut...quality n quantity of north indian dishes are really good n taste found awesome...had been here many times during my visit to Goa last week...just slightly lagging in South Indian taste (may be the cook didn't have a nice day when I visited I guess!)...would love to be here during my next visit to Goa...
Nakul Gandhi
It's a typical 'pure veg' restaurant serving best south and north Indian dishes in Calungute area. <br/><br/>However, I din't really like the staff manners. The way the waiters behave, it seemed as if I was getting subsidised food and the subsidy was coming from their pockets! :P<br/><br/>Don't mind visiting this place again :)
Gautam
Proceed if only you are fond of idli dosas, north Indian dishes are okay types, otherwise Simple ambience, pocket friendly, definitely better place to eat if you are bored of sea food!!:)
Keyour Parikh
Super Southern Food. This was one of our finest discovery in goa. After partying for 5 days need aome detox light food & this was the place.<br/>Typical Udipi joint nothing fancy but excellent food. Must try the thali & various dosa. End it with Chaas (Butter Milk). <br/>Must go for breakfast
Sunil Poojari
In Goa there are very few hotels that serves typical south Indian breakfast. But this hotel is an exception, its an udupi hotel n serves very good breakfast. Very good option in calangute.
Sumeet Sadarangani
Visited this place with friends while on trip to Goa. I can definitely say all over Calangute, the best South Indian food can be avail at this place. <br/>Service: 4<br/>Ambiance: 3<br/>Cleanliness: 3<br/>Food: 4.5

Just walk in if you wish to have southindian food. The best hotel in the locality offers you a good service. Should also order a coffee which smells similar to coffee served by Madras cafe in Matunga (Mumbai)
