Review Blue Apple Restaurant & Bar - Calangute

A great place to enjoy some Goan, Indian and Chinese food, although Goan and Indian are surely better. The ambience is vibrant and surrounded by green fields gives a very welcoming vibe. The decor is simple, nothing loud or over the top. The food too is simple and flavourful. We tried the Chilly Paneer, Prawns Wrapped in Papad( Highly recommended), Hawaiian Chicken Salad ( Nicely done)and Butter Garlic Fish (Very delicious). Overall it was a good experience and must be given a try

When in Goa, and you want to try Goan thali, make sure you visit this place. They serve a King fish thali which is one of the best. Also, they have a wide variety of fish options. Very pretty interiors and well decorated. Staffs are very courteous . Also, the mojito they prepared was really perfect. Their Chinese cuisines are equally good. So this place for the ppl looking to just eat however not for those who are looking for party place with friends. Also it looks a bit different from the picture as its all closed with windows now & no more a open space as in pictures. Liked :- 1) As it was my wife’s birthday so asked them to arrange a table with candlelight & cake which was done perfectly. 2) Surmai fry was good as described & suggested by ppl reviews. 3) Friendly & spoken manager ‘Anselen, 4) Good fish thali available. Not up to the mark :- 1) As suggested by reviewers had the golden fried prawns however they had a lot of flour dough coating. 2) To much silent place with no music & very damp surroundings.

Every minute spent at this place is awesome . We went to this place last nite since it was only one of the places next to our Guest house in Goa. We were greeted warmly by the waiter as well as Restaurant manager. Waiter was polite and quite elaborate about how the dish would be . All the dishes recommended by the waiter were awesome. The food tasted awesome , everything perfect . The best part was the complimentary desert we received at the end . The desert overshadowed the food that we ate there . It was a chefs special dish and was amazing. A definite place to visit for a true foodie and someone who expects good service after a tiring day of travel. I give 5 out of 5 . Highly recommend this place to everyone who comes to Goa and we will definitely visit this place again whenever we are here. Definitely in top 10 places to visit in Goa

One of the best places to go for authentic Indian food! I love the flavors at Blue Apple and the staff is really friendly and helpful. A good place to go to and spend some good quality time with family and friends and of course the food. The service is prompt, quick and the suggestions given by the staff is really good ones. We had ordered vegetable xacuti, rice items and starters. Happy to say all were upto mark and lip smacking cuisines. The starters were perfectly blending with the spices and the little tangy taste gave it a boost of flavour when the food touched our pallete. Overall a great experience at Blue apple!!

Fantastic place to have a meal and some cocktails. We were always well looked after here during our stay in Goa. Friendly and attentive staff, excellent food and delicious sweet treats! (especially the biscuits!) Looking forward to coming back to The Blue Apple.

Another little gem, great fish thali and other such delights such as biryani which my husband enjoyed. Upstairs cool breezes in the restaurant, live music a couple of times a week in the evenings. Service was great, efficient and helpful without being too intrusive. Great prices too would highly recommend here for lunch or dinner on your own or with friends. Cloakrooms were very clean and tidy.

The best Blueberry Cheesecake I have had so far. While my stay in Goa I kept on visiting this place just for Blueberry Cheesecake. Also tried Alfredo Chicken Pasta which was pretty good. Prices are very surprisingly low which made me go back here again and again. One dish I didn't like was Crispy Prawns which were too oily. Also service took a bit longer. But apart from that, it has been a good experience at this place and would love to be back there again soon. <br/><br/>PS : Make sure you get a table on First Floor to get an amazing surrounding view.

We had headed here for a quick grab on the Breakfast post 11, to which the restaurant operator adhered and offered us a delight BF experience!<br/><br/>The modified English BF we had here was none less delightful as the Full classic English BF, all the cold cuts and eggs were just perfectly cooked as per our need!<br/>Additional to this we ordered - A Chicken Club Sandwich and Prawn and Chicken Schezwan fried rice<br/>Both the dishes were appetizing and ambrosial in every bite! This restaurant has a cool ambience with a field view and it's quite windy. I really enjoyed the food here! Their squids masala fry is a must try! Loved the strawberry colada that I tried. Their fish thali is a must try! The manager Mr Valentine was very friendly towards us and also suggested us some great options for appetizers. They suggested I try their chefs special drunken chicken which tasted great. Their butter chicken and fried rice combo is the bomb! For dessert I ordered their blueberry cheesecake. It was heavenly!!! Amazing!

I had dinner here recently.<br/><br/>First, the positives - courteous staff and a good ambience. <br/><br/>The negatives - the food. The Goan Chilli Chicken was not spicy, pretty bland and had too many onions. The Crispy Mushroom was extremely oily. The Dal Tadka lacked enough salt while the Kadai Paneer's paneer was hard and chewy. The rotis were alright but nothing to write home about. The tea and hot chocolate was good.

While I was in Goa, I was badly for some home-style cooked food. So I happened to find this restaurant and I loved this place to the core.<br/>I ordered Veg Biryani, Paneer, Dal Tadka, Chapati, Stuffed Mushroom and Brownie with Icecream. <br/>The food here is so tasty. I absolutely loved their Biryani and Dal Tadka. The chapatis were totally homelike. This place is perfect for dinner and offers a ambitious service.we had tried chicken bang bang for starters which was something new for me just loved the flavors later we tried seafood which was really fresh. Overall a nice experience and chilling environment

Located not so far away from the busy roads of calangute is this simple yet cozy restaurant.<br/>Not so fancy & there is no AC section but perfect for enjoying a great meal.<br/>In starters we tried the most common dish that is chicken cripsy which was just as per my expectations. A must must go for all vegetarians

A must-visit place in Goa for excellent seafood, Goan food and Indian Food. The menu also has Chinese and Continental dishes. What stands out is the excellent hospitality and service with a smile. The staff go out of their way to make guests feel welcome and ensure they have a good time. Since it is away from the beaches, it has a nice peaceful ambience and is ideal for a quiet family meal or to catch up with friends and even for small parties. You should definitely not miss out on the Goan Fish Thali and Indian food. And don't forget to ask the bartender to make you a cocktail or two.

This is a hidden gem with not much footfall for now. Everything from food, ambience and service is top notch. I have tried the below so far and have been multiple times just to explore the menu. Veg Caldin/Vindaloo Nachos Paneer Tikka Masala Blueberry Cheesecake Caramel Custard Veg Biryani Special mention for the Cheesecake which alone we had more than 10 times is a statement in itself. Service is outstanding with most of the items at table in 15min and the staff is courteous. Prices are really reasonable. Though, the restaurant is really famous for Fish Thali but since we are vegetarian, we did not had that. Owner is really friendly and drops by to say hello and for a feedback. This is probably the only place which i have found in Goa, where everything from starters to desserts are outstanding and would recommend this any day over any other place. I have been in Goa for two months, so yes, explored quite a lot of places.

Your weekend fish thali fix !<br/>Went to this new place in Calangute, called @blueapple_goa . It's not on the beach or the touristy road stretch, but is already getting popular with the locals in Calangute , for this fish thali . They make a lipsmacking Ambotik and the portions are generous.<br/>I also tried their international fare such as the grilled prawns and the chicken skewers. My brother discovered this place totally randomly during our trip to Goa and it was amazing. Nonveg or sea food lovers or even vegetarians, this place serves great food.Exquisitely cooked and delicious tasting food along with greatly polite staff.

The curry had small prawns n not medium ones.. which is actually good for a curry.<br/>I must admit the taste of all 3 were brilliant. It was a chefs special dish and was amazing.<br/>A definite place to visit for a true foodie and someone who expects good service after a tiring day of travel.<br/>I give 5 out of 5 . The staff was very polite n helpful and suggestions they gave was nice regarding food options . They were flexible enough to make as u wished . Took ceaser salad , chilly cheese sandwich , cocktails n rum ball cake . Everything was good. New place n it's a good try .

The place is great to go out with friends. The ambience is great and food is apt. Zomato gold is a big attraction point.

Went for a dinner to try chicken xacuti. Ordered it with steamed rice. Mr Valentine asked us to give it a try with poe, that made the taste heavenly.<br/><br/>Give it a visit for nice ambience, great food and amazing hospitality by the staff.

We went looking for Cafe de Goa. This is above Cafe de Goa.<br/>The food was good. Lots of Goan specialities, unfortunately most of the vegetarian was non-Goan, so I ordered Vindaloo.<br/><br/>Service was great.

It was a lovely place well decorated by the staff with really good food.A big thank you to the entire staff and a specal thank you to Valentine the restaurant manager and Ex. chef for the mouth watering food. You can really enjoy you meal with great country side ambience. We took entire roof top for group of 30 to 40 pax which was well organized.<br/>Thanks we will definitely Recomend this place to my friend and family.

Places like this are rare and reasons are many. One of them is the fact that the people care for your needs like family! We expressed a desire to eat a certain type of dessert in the midst of a conversation and very vaguely told them we would be coming some time to have it, the manager Mr. Valentine remembered what we discussed and kept it ready for us when we arrived and said that he cancelled his plans particularly for this! We visited the place thrice and all the times we were attended personally and warmly, by Mr. Kunal who took care of our needs in person and also educated a lot on food and health. Ambience is simple yet adorable and food is healthy and extremely tasty! We had a taste of some amazing Goan cuisine and also English breakfast that was very satisfying. And not to forget the dessert that was specially made for us, it was simply delicious! We will definitely remember this place for years and it's a go-to in Goa for us!

Amazing food and what amazed me even more was the politeness and friendly staff around, they were both professional as well as friendly. I felt like I was at a fine dine restaurant. I had their signature cocktail and the bartender made the drink in front of me and explained to me bout all the ingredients and also made it to my taste just like I love it a bit more on the sweater side<br/>Love this place

Its a newly opened restaurant which is doing a wonderful job. Staff is very prompt and Manager is a very friendly and nice person. Also they have a bakery which has got homemade brownie and other pastries which taste awesome. Its a must visit place for everyone.

This place is a hidden gem in calangute. Location wise its quite offbeat place but the food and hospitality over herebis brilliant and very light on pocket. During our 4 days stay we went to tjis place for 2 times and it did not disappoint us single time.<br/><br/>We opted for king fish thali which was a special dish on that particular day. Their prepartion of king fish is brilliant. I think thats one of my best dish I had in goa this time.<br/><br/>Next, we opted for spaghetti which was good too.<br/>Seafood frid rice is perfectly cooked and perfect mixture of spices even same goes for chicken mamchurian. They serve wide range of dishes which is commendable.<br/><br/>Last, service ia quite fast and they are just a call away if you need anything. Restaurant manager will constantly check with you for anything you need.<br/><br/>Overall, its a quite good experience and if you are in goa, please visit this place for some good lunch time.

Visited this place with a friend and was pleasantly surprised with the food, service and finally the bill.<br/>The food was great with a choice of Indian, Continental and Goan menus. The food was good and well presented.<br/>The service was fast and friendly. The starters were great and the manager visited our table several times and suggested some really good items. Even my driver commented that the food was excellent.<br/>The bar menu had a great choice of both imported and IMFL, reasonably priced.<br/>Enjoyed the food and intend visiting again soon.

I visited this place to have coffee but we had our dinner here. I came along with my family, we all liked it very much. Food is really good, tasty and yummy. Thank you for the staff and manager for their ambience. Special thanks to clitus and Nitesh for the help( surviving). Situated in a very apt location near Calangute, surrounded by nature, a quiet place with amazing food and great service.<br/>FOOD, we had two of Goa's signature dishes, Xacuti and Caldin for main course, along with chapati. Starters were tasty as well, we had baby corn fries tossed in a Chinese sauce, and some pepper chicken. Both were delicious and freshly prepared.<br/>SERVICE was great as well, very homely and friendly people, Mr. Walter was waiting our table, he helped us decide what would be best to eat and also helped us with things around Goa. Very friendly and helpful. Will be looking forward to seeing him again.<br/>Great AMBIENCE, they have a live band on certain days, and good music too. Location is perfect as well, not too much rush.<br/>Shouldn't miss it...I had a great experience.

So happy to eat at this place. Food was well cooked and waiters were courteous and well mannered. Ordered English breakfast and was delighted to see so many items in the plate. Butter chicken and chicken Ra Ra had really good taste. This is undoubtedly best place I happen to visit in Goa. Loved it.

Visited this place in the week of mid Dec 2018, 4-5 times including our breakfast, lunch & dinner, as it was very near to our hotel Palmarinha Resorts, Calangute.<br/><br/>Firstly, very nice ambience & its decoration, clean premises attracted us to this place. Later we found that food is equally of good taste and good quality. It is nice, soothing place and with good crowd. Found few foreign tourists visited this place when we were having our breakfast.<br/><br/>Coming to food, local goan cuisines is really which we liked the most. Breakfast options are also good. And for that quality and taste it is economical too compared to other new places in Goa where food taste and quality really fails to my Goan food expectations.<br/><br/>Restaurant staff is very polite and kind.<br/>View from the restaurant is so beautiful & peaceful.<br/>Low volume music for ur company makes you feel really relaxing.<br/>I would love to recommend & visit this place in my next trip to Goa definitely.<br/>Cheers ~ 👍<br/><br/>
