Review Bon Appetite - Candolim

One of my favourite quiet places off the beaten track. More for those looking for the old goa vibe near a beach that is quieter than the rest in the neighbourhood. Five star view @ affordable price. I had no issues with the service staff.

Right near Aguada Fort end of Sinquerim beach, the restaurant is on the beach, with seats under cover and sunbeds on the sand. We had prawn pappads and kingfish tandoori. Well spiced and fresh. Great attentive service too!

Absolutely stunning accommodation with the most perfect location. Had the best holiday here. The staff were so friendly and efficient. Definitely staying here again when we decide to come back to goa and would 10/10 recommend to anyone looking for a perfect vacation stay in Goa. Thank you for everything Joe-Joe!

This is an amazingly located hotel and restaurant. We go to this restaurant often as the view of the sea is fabulous. It's a garden restaurant as well as there is a thatch covered area. The staff is nice and polite. Food is good but not exceptional. However the overall experience is very pleasant.

I loved the place. It’s cool. It’s open. It’s breezy. And has a fantastic view. On a hot Goa morning, I decided to try Bon Appetit simply because it was too hot to walk further. There were sunbeds right outside the place and I thought I’ll check if it’s comfortable and take a call. As I was checking the sunbeds, I peeped inside and the shack looked very inviting. Like a Oasis in a hot desert. There were a lot of coconut trees which provided shade and kept the cool breeze going. I first sat outside to have an Al fresco feel, but as it started getting warm, I moved inside which turned out to be an excellent decision because the place was so cool. As if I was sitting inside an earthen pot. I could see the blue sea, the green trees, and the sun did not hit my eyes. I ordered a virgin mojito and it came in one big fat jar. Tasted great. I did not try any bites, so cannot review the food, but for sure this is gonna be my go to shack henceforth.

It’s 18.45 as I sit here at BonAppetit watching the sun go down , sipping a Kingfisher while waiting for my food order. I am prompted to write this review having read the half dozen or so one star reviews below. They are utter tosh! All the staff I have dealt with are professional and studious in their service. The toilets, despite what is described below, are as good as or better as any you’ll find along Sinquerim beach. This is a great place to sit and watch beach life unfold below you. The snacks, bhajis and spring rolls, are perfectly cooked and presented. With a cold beer they are unbeatable. This is an inexpensive jewel nestled between the two expensive Taj resorts, Taj Holiday Village and Taj Fort Aguada. You won’t regret coming here.

Absolutely fantastic. The consistency of food and service has not changed in the last 20 years or so. Nostalgic place a hidden gem in North goa a must visit for everyone The best part is that Joe, who is so hospitable and humble which is so rare to find these days.

Sea front beach resturant. Lovely sunset views. Sunbathing after water sports here was relaxing. Had drinks and lunch here. Standard pricing. Menu options are gud.

Great place for lunch or dinner - beautiful spot overlooking the beach under tall palms. Spectacular sunsets free. Food is always good and service is impeccable.

Best food you can get in Goa.we went with very less expectations as our experience in last four days at various high end restaurants were bad but this place has amazing pasta n food plus amazing Sunset view.Enjoy lovely onions pakora with coffee or Tea .Great view

I had very wonderful stay here, last Dec. Resort is very beautiful. Greenery and naturally decorated provide mesmerizing experience. Staff is well trained. Location on beach.you can click for memories and insta stories. Best part food is awesome, tasty, yummy. I tried some of dishes during my six days stay. All were lip smacking.

I had visited this Restaurant in March 2020 (before Corona and lockdown). First time, I went here for lunch with my family and friends. It was such a great experience sitting at the garden and enjoying food at beautiful beach. Since it was a great experience even at the lunch time, we decided to visit for dinner too. And second day we went for the dinner. It was such a spectacular view and awesome food we had in this restaurant. Beautiful place to visit.

A shack located on the sinquerium beach , the food was not upto the mark here, roti were made of maida and the service took too long, really slow service and so good food only the dal tadka was the main highlight of this place which could be have if you go here

The food was really good! Tried all type of finger snacks!! The cocktails were good tooo. The staff was courteous. The place is just infront of the beach. Loved the place. Must visit.

Located on Sinquerium beach.. Lovely views, decent food, OK service, Prices are a little on the higher side. Open restaurant, so it's quiet hot in the afternoons but not unbearable.

This place gives you an ocean view. Quite romantic though. I loved the food here and the ambience. What u need here is a good company and a bear. I can spend my whole day here just gazing the serenity of the place. Food was delicious and worth it.

This one took us by surprise and a positive surprise !!<br/>We did not plan to go this place, we went to this beach for water sports but thought of chilling a little until late afternoon so we could enjoy the water sports.<br/>We asked the local guys and they all diverted us to another shack much ahead and kept praising and also offered us some codes (which they said would give us special treatment and service) and ofcourse it was understood indeed.<br/>However, a blessing in disguise this restaurant cum shack is located nearer to the entry and exit of the beach.<br/>We at first were not very sure if our decision was appropriate but we gave it a try. We became more skeptical as it was the first day of the opening of this restaurant, staff was new not very well trained.<br/>But the gentleman who owned this restaurant handled everything very professionally. <br/>After a not so good start we were positively surprised. The food was delicious and fresh especially the chicken tikkas | and the chinese dishes.<br/>It is a must visit place !!

Nice place with good food and great view. Sunset is the right time to visit this place. Its a little hard to find.. Literally a hidden gem..

All the stars are for the fascinating sea facing view from the restaurant that can he enjoyed in day as well as evening time with bunch of your crazy friends.<br/>Would like to suggest to all those Goa-ers to let this be on their itenerary for the last day to end their vacation on a relaxing note.<br/>Rose wine was the best treat and the food was good too.<br/>

A hidden gem amongst hoard of options to eat in condolim. We liked this place so much that we have been here twice in one trip.<br/><br/>The food is delicious and the staff is very friendly and the location is just awesome. Such a waste of time and money!! <br/>Food came in 45 mins and was served cold. Sandwich was too rough and dry, literally had to swallow it with a drink. Casual behaviour of the servers as well. Overpriced, not a value for money at all.<br/>Ambiance: 4/5

Accidentally stumbled on this place while driving through Candolim. The sitting and view simply breathtaking. Their Cheese Garlic Naan a must try. Chicken Tikka too is awesome. Will definitely come back for more.

The food isn't very good. But the ambience and the setting is. It's on the beach and has great service. Go there to drink beer on the beach, not for the food

A beach front restaurant, next to the  Taj Aguada.  Has a serene ambiance, with a lot of shade to relax under. The food was excellent with reasonably large helpings. We did not find the service slow, perhaps because we ordered Goan dishes. It was our second visit and we will go there again.

You will find this bar&restaurant situated just right on the beach, you just go down from the Fort Aguada, and go little towards the right side. Best part is its ambience and cool and calm atmosphere. U can just lie and order food/drinks and just spend your entire day here. Food was good too. Overall a god place to just chill !!

I nice shack right on the beach ordered squids fried rice prawn and schezwan chicken every thing was good but the location is outstanding all in all it's good place to spend some good time.

We really like this place. Been here often. The food didn't disappoint. We had veg for a change and that too was nice. The tandoor here is the sure pick, with some of the best Naan's I have eaten. The service is at its own pace. Not too slow, not too fast.

Located on the beach.. Offers great sea view n has good music too.. Away from the commercial beaches of Baga n Calangute, this place offers a serene view.. Coming to the food, food tastes great.. Had a lot of starters, n most of them tasted good.. Heavy on the pockets though.. Ambiance is great, but the service is too slow.. For each starter to be served, it takes approx 30-40 mins.. If you ain't in a hurry, this is the place to hangout n some spend quality time with friends..

Been here with friends, place is awesome but the service is slower than a snail. It took 1:30 hr for them to get a chilli paneer. Food was ok not that great as the review suggest.<br/><br/>Bon Appetite actually killed my appetite for the day with their service. Hope the management improve their service.

Located at the quite sinquerim beach dividing the Taj Properties into two.We just loved the place, the location is not just awesome ! beach is not crowded and clean enough for a dip , restaurant is right on the beach :-D Food served is good enough for the price paid and the service was good ! Location - 5/5Food - 3.5/5Service - 4/5Will I get back - Might consider staying at their property :)

What can I say, by far worst restaurant ever...<br/>I stayed in a hotel near this restaurant for a few days. <br/><br/>After getting bored of in-room dining and it being an especially hot afternoon, the family didn't want to venture out, so after looking at Bon Apetit's reviews I decided to order from here<br/><br/>When the order arrived, I was the shocked to see that the cold coffee and watermelon juices (which I paid Rs 480 for) had been packed into bisleri bottles. All sorts of thoughts were going through my mind all at the same time. Who packs cold beverages this way? Did they use the new bottles, emptied them and filled with cold coffee and juice?<br/>Did they use pre-used bottles? Did they use bottles from trash?<br/><br/>When I confronted them to refund money for such pathetic way of delivery, the owner yelled at me by saying, he did me a favor by delivering at my hotel door step. Seriously???<br/><br/>The parathas I ordered for my little one were sour. She took one bite and spat it out. <br/><br/>Without further misadventure we trashed all the food and switched back to boring but reliable room service. <br/><br/>Beware, you have been warned!!!!!

I just couldn't believe the place ... What beautiful ambience... And the food was just awesome ... I've rarely had good veg North Indian food in Goa .... This place is a must visit

It's just the place - right on the beach. Other wise food is ok. Service is slow. Ambience - facing Taj Aguada.. Go there only if you are looking for a quiet place with a good sea view.

The service is OK, food ain't that good. The only best part of this is the location, it's right on the beach with great ambience. Only if it could improve on the food quality.
