Review Honey Honey - Candolim

The name of the place has changed to ‘Taste of Goa’. We went for a lunch after our drive from Karnataka to Goa. The place is walking distance from the Airbnb we were staying at and is on the main road. It’s an open air restaurant as it’s open on 3 sides and closed on one side where the kitchen is. The staff is friendly and the service is quick. We had Goan seafood and some North Indian veg food. Although the veg options are limited, whatever we had was tasty - Paneer butter masala, chapati and curd rice. In Goan seafood we had prawns rava fry, surmai fry and fish thali. Prawns rava fry was absolutely delicious. The prawns were fresh, thoroughly cleaned, perfectly cooked with light coating of the rava to add flavour. The slightly sweetish flavour of prawns was shining through. They had kept the heads and tails on so there was a variety of textures and tastes that we enjoyed. The fish thali had surmai fry, tangy fish curry, coconut milk based prawns curry, salad, curd, Gulaab jamun, pickle, parotha and rice. Everything in the thali was well prepared and delicious. We enjoyed the prawn curry and rice the most. The surmai fry left us craving for more so ordered more of it. A plate of surmai fry comes with 3 generous slices. Overall we enjoyed the meal a lot. It was priced reasonably and service was good.

Honey Honey bar and restaurant is located on just the opposite side of The Acacia. it's on the road , and it's an open air restaurant. Indian cusines are good here as I ordered a plate for my wife for about just a 100 bucks and she couldn't complete it. The beer here is nice. You should try the beer. The condolim beach is just 5 mins walk from here. The road ouside is the main road and will lead you to Panjim and buses are found in short interval Note: This restaurant also offers bikes and scooty on rent. The rate 1 month ago for scooty was 300/day and for bikes was 400/day.
