Review Showbar - Candolim

Jill DSouza
What a night! It was quite a surprise to witness a menu like this at a club... Great surprise indeed! We started off with delicious creamy prawns (prawnstar), Sali-botti! Say whaaa? ATTN: Mutton is available here!, the Chicken "Cereal Killer" (An easy favourite) and the showstopper (which is deep fried mac and cheese) We're in love with the names of the dishes already. Yes, they tasted equally good. I'm not such a fan of the fried mac and cheese but my friends loved it. Dinner was a whole new world - Juicy pork ribs (Could be a little softer, but we're not complaining!) Gobbled it all anyway, The "Lamb Shank Ghee Roast" which brought us here in the first place, outdid itself. Delish. The oriental Beef titbits & Chicken kalmi Kebab - yummy and the finale fish sous vide - melted into my face just like I thought it would. (It looked soo pretty sitting on a bed of miniature bundles of vegetables served an array of assorted purées & sauces.) Did I mention it happened to be MRP night? A bottle of Bourbon went perfectly well with all of the above! We ended with the 'nutella marshmallow & banana quesadilla' which didn't not allow me to move for a while after. Note to self: Pick a lighter dessert after a meal like that! Great Meal, Fun Space (We danced a bit too ;) and attentive staff. Thanks! We'll come again soon and bring friends!

Went in on a Wednesday evening around 9. Mainly for the food. Pretty much every dish outdid the last. We were done with our meal once the crowd started pouring in - which was there for the Club more than the Grub. But you must give this place a go for the food. It will leave you pleasantly surprised and your appetite well satiated! If you want to follow it up with a night of partying go in over the weekends. If you'd like a quieter meal and drinks, then maybe Sunday or Monday would be a better bet!

Party here begins post 11. If you are near Candolim area and looking for a nice ambience to hangout this us definitely the place to be. Interiors, Music Food and Service is really really good and worth the price you pay for. Wish wish there is provision of Valey parking.

If you love bachata or want to learn, check this place out on a Thursday evening, there is a free demo for beginners, followed by socials.

A very good clubbing place! The food is very tasty. Service is good. The USP of the club is that it is the only club (may be in India) of its kind to have dynamic pricing of the drinks. There are displays for drinks pricing which make you feel like you are in front of a Stock Exchange Screen. I loved this concept! The music and the DJs were excellent and they could maintain the tempo of the dancers. There were some live performances from some artists as well.

Wonderful place yo party and enjoy night life.

Place gets very crowded with the a very young, almost underage seeming crowd on weekends. Stock market concept helps you get some steals on booze provided you keep watching the screen. This is one of the few discs where I couldn't find place to even turn around and stood in a line to use the urinal. Adds to the hype of the place, a good place where locals party without the boisterous tourist crowd.

Great place to hone and flex your stock exchange skills, if you know what I mean. It's a great place, great ambience, great staff and amazing music. Apart from the limited space, this place is good for a having fun with friends. The bartenders are awesome.
vikram khanna
brilliant place. Have been there a couple of times now and have had a great experience everytime. High quality acts ranging from standup comedy to very very good bands. Last time they were featuring True Blue Goa which happened to be a fantastic performance. Not very expensive.
Leena Gaikwad
One of my all time favorite places in North Goa. Even at stock exchange prices, their cocktails are really good.. Dj or live music, it's amazing. And love the retro vintage theatre ambience.

Visited this place on a Saturday night around Christmas. The music and the interiors are fantastic! This place is just like BSE/Agent Jack’s/ Drinx exchange. I would recommend you to be there by 8-9 pm if you want your own table. Their live-Pizza counter is an epic show-stopper!Can’t wait to go back and have some more!

A new place on the ever so bustling Candolim street, but definitely worth a visit, not just for the good food, but great ambiance and fabulous food too. The antique decor and theatre setting transverses you into the talkies of the bygone era. So while we enjoy a movie at the fancy 21st century multiplexes, we can head to Showbar for a drink and dine experience along with your movie. The pub also has a stage where they have live music playing on the weekends.

It’s near to Sin Q so if you want to prebooze with your group then this could be the best option.
Enough space to dance and to have a group party.
I have not given 5 star because of food, I didn’t like the food there.
I ordered pizza, veg szechwan noodles and paneer 65. Only pizza tasted lil better than any other food. Everything had a taste of JOHNSON’s BABY POWDER. 😂
So please be mindful before ordering. But overall nice place.

The bartender (eilo)and bar manager and hand in glove and quick to steal bottles if u do not keep a watchful eye on ur drinks .. After stealing the bottles they will not even entertain the idea of cctv footage .. Coz they are aware of the mistakes .. They do not even entertain if u try to reason with the staff .. Worst expwrience ever.. Cosidering this attitude is to fellow goans
Itself

Showbar is known for making Friday nights better than Saturday nights. One of the best place to be on a Friday night. Not recommended for people who do not like crowd as the place is packed on Fridays. The interiors of showbar are very much industrial types and have a big stage for the Dj’s. The vibes here are amazing with good music played all night long. Not only do you get to drink and dance, but you also get to enjoy some delicious fancy food. They also have a bar exchange where in you can crack good deals on your drinks. For every party person who wants to have a great Friday night in Goa, should visit Showbar!
Saheel Sirvoicar
Arrogance is not the right word for the attitude of the staff here. They treat you very rudely and have no sense of respect towards you, especially at the bar counter. We were duped of almost 800 bucks over a wine and they were not ready to listen. The place gets crowded on the weekends and there is no place to move. The bar exchange concept is a sham and will definitely disappoint you. There are way better clubs in Goa then going to this "not so customer friendly place".
DrAnkur Gupta
Small sized pub with ok music. The crowd is also just ok. Average kinda atmosphere. The bar exchange system doesn't appeal as you want to focus more on party than ongoing price fluctuations. Overall average experience.

Nice English music ,tried pasta and garlic breads and chicken wings it was yummy ,music was English and was good ,but crowd was bad very mixed crowd

Absolute waste of time and money. Food is below average. No proper DJ or a dance floor. They don't treat their customers well. Very impolite and disrespectful. Visit at your own risk. #Noshowbar

We visited the place on a Friday night at around 1:30AM.

The place was heavily crowded. The dancing area coincides with the bar area, so there’s extremely less space and almost none to walk.

Showbar has a bar stock exchange in place, so the prices fluctuate with demand-supply.

But the music was decent at best. Thus the 3/5. Expected better.
Pranjali Gupta
Do visit this place! Super yumm biriyani and the ambience makes you just relax and have a good time! Servers are friendly and the music is groovy! The prices of drinks keep changing like bar exchanges on Fridays!
Manmeet Satpathy
We visited this place based on a lot of hype. But it turned out to be a simple place.. The place for smoking has no exhaust fans.. Waiters dnt listen when u call them.. Limited things to order.. This is a boring place
Aishwarya Chaturvedi
My absolute favourite!
Specially the ambience! Definitely try their Pav bhaji fondue is lovely, a dish I would be here for time and again.
The mojito it lovely
A pet place each time I visit the city

Shravani Athalye
awesome place... with best music and drinks... had a wonderful time.
a little crowded on weekends but manageable. would surely love to visit again!
Amita Dokhale
Good staff and decent food but place is dull on normal days must go only on Wednesday Friday and Saturday only.Selection of music is good here.
Param Gera
Shittiest place, only go there if you wanna waste your money out. Dj sucks, everything sucks. Nothing is good about this place. I swear you'll cry because your money will get wasted.
R!0_Alone
There were lot of expectations I was carrying with me before going,But it wasn't a really good.Crowd I found there is a lil good but rest everything was not worth spending your time to enjoy.Bouncers I Found a lil Arrogant and always ready to demean you.
Asheen Lobo
Wow ambience.. food..drinks...are well priced.. service is Swift and great.music nights are fun.wed.fri and sat are the party nights here...
Abhishek Toshniwal
Really mediocre food. They add pudina in almost everything. The least they could do after serving me such mediocre food was to play some Eagles tracks on my request but they turned me down on that. DO NOT SQUANDER YOUR MONEY ON THIS PLACE.
Supriya Shandilya
Nice music, u can get really cheap drinks here.. if you are lucky enough.

Live music is really good here. I happened to get my vodka shot in Rs. 70..

Try your luck ;)

A very nice vintage vibe with deco n lighting ...music too a nice retro vibe for all ages
Shashank Sinha
Good place to party and chill with your friends. We usually go on Saturdays , it has a concept of fluctuating price list for alcohol ( like BSE ). Good music.. although there is less place to dance as it gets over crowded.
Ron
Lively place! Good music and good crowd! Be alert and check the price drops. Best time to be there is around 22:00 hrs and better have a reservation. It’s gets crowded by the hour and place gets warmer. The service gets pretty slow and you need to be very patient to get your drinks. Go there with in a group and just enjoy the atmosphere. This place is open late up-to 3:00 am.
The finger bites were good with reasonable portions. Thai Fish and shrimp cakes were good.
What a great find in goa a faboulus pub style vintage setting. Amazing fri nites coz dey hav the stock exchange nites great music n fully packed atmosphere. Another great nite they hav is the mrp nite that we ccpl of fds tried out on thur and a crazy steal deal with all bottles at mrp rates .
Had a best evening with friends. What made it better was the amazing food by Chef Christopher. Can't wait to go again and have the pork ribs and pizza. Must visit!
Clyde Fernandes
Amazing food.. loved the pork ribs n bacon wrapped shirmps..other dishes were gud too.. but still cant get over pork ribs.. service with a smile n rustic ambience.. had an amazing time
Benson D’Souza
Intense nights. A lot of effort put in the kitchen. The food menu is something different. The stock exchange night on Fridays is something everyone must experience. Good prices very reasonable. Make sure you get there nice and early though.
Grizy Godinho
Interesting concept out here .. alcohol stock exchange .. (ps : prices do take a dip 🙃 )
Pizzas are exceptional , must try
The live music band made us wanna keep tapping our feet and dance till the wee hours .. however i felt there is a limited selection In beers .. but keeping aside dis everything was fabulous
Parag Phad
This place has everything that one would look forward to for a memorable evening. Witnessed a live performance by True Blue, the band kept the crowd going. All in all, this place knows how to throw a great party.

Showbar is among newer addition to bars in Candolim with focus on quality drinks and great menu. The prices of drinks fluctuate like exchange and you have to continuously look at screens if you want to have great bargain. The music is great with recognised DJs playing loud. Food menu is great. I like Teriyaki Chicken & Chicken Wings. It has good collections of drinks and cocktails are also great.
Harshita Saxena
Absolutely in love with their Food and Ambience. Their Pork Ribs are a must try. Easily the best I've had in Goa. Christopher is an excellent Chef and host. Will definitely frequent this place. Thank you for a marvelous experience. If you are looking for great food with an atmosphere to match it, Showbar is definitely a must visit. KUDOS!!
Adrian D'Souza
If you want to party late into the night and also have some gorgeous looking delicious food, then Showbar it is. At that moment of entry the vibe just smacks you in the face. The music blasts into your body and you feel your feet begin to tap all by itself. The show starts late with the young crowd trickling in late and then there is absolutely no place to even stand. The music is excellent and you will enjoy dancing till the wee hours.

However, since this is all about food, its best to go before the crowd comes in so that you can enjoy the scrumptious preparations of Chef Christopher. The food is superbly curated and pleasing to the eye. My recommendation would be the Parsi style Salli boti which was outstanding and so was the Classic Filet Mignon and the BBQ Mixed Grill. If you want anything specific, Chef Christopher would be happy to whip it up for you. The price too is reasonable compared to most places and we recommend that you try this place at the earliest. #Goa, #foodofgoa, #nightlifego

If you need a break from all the staple Goan Curry, Vindaloos and are interested in trying good Gourmet food I highly recommend this place. What a night I ended up having ... The culinary skills of the chef hit the spot and we were blown by the plates that kept coming out of the kitchen. The chef Chris incorporated flavours from his favourite places on his travels and it was refreshing to see the diversity in the flavours.

We started with Prawnstar which was his take on prawns in butter garlic and if you are a prawn virgin then this will definitely pop your cherry Hehehehe

Next on the list was Burnt Garlic Chilli Beef .. Something magical happened when I took the first bite... I was instantly teleported back in time to Leopolds eating my favourite beef chilli fried rice accompanied with a pitcher of beer. The last bite was quite sad cause reality hit but then

There was Sali Boti ... What a class entree this ended up being .. Every bite the succulent pieces of mutton just melted dispersing flavours that was pardon my French quite fu**in awesome

Kalmi Kebab.. This entree was quite similar to the chicken rice gourmet boxes we order for lunch in Bombay ... The chicken was nice and juicy with a sauce reduction on the side which paired well with the rice. Must try for you light weight lean meat eating aficionados hehehe (including me too ..most days of the week)

Showstopper .. Yes we did order a vegetarian entree as well which was a very good take on Mac and cheese .. Even though this was our only vegetarian order it held its own weight ... cubes of mac and cheese covered with golden fried batter ... Must try

Sticky pork Ribs .. This was not my favourite order of the night and was the only plate which had a couple of pieces left which I also partly blame for the amount of food already consumed by this point

Lamb Shank Ghee Roast.. I know I did say we were pretty full at this point but then when you look at this entree you make adjust. It’s not everyday you get to feast on a shank with butter soft pieces of meat cooked in Ghee and served with some rice and sauce reduction. It looked so tempting so I did what anyone would have done .. is eat the whole thing and then call it a night

But then since I had most of the entrees The Others :-) still had room for desserts which generally I can do without. But then again the desserts were as innovative as the entrees ... Chocolate platter and Nutella Banana Quesadillas

The walk to the cab was quite a task and I was so full that I didn’t have the energy to bargain with the Goan cab Mafia .. will get them next time but until then all those who are in Goa check this place out and do ask for Chef Christopher and allow him to take you on this culinary adventure you will never soon forget.

We went in to Soi (right next door for a sit-down dinner) on Sunday evening and walked in to check (retro-looking) Showbar on the way out. We met the Chef Christopher and his enthusiasm for the food menu sold us. The menu looked interesting, so we decided to come back on Wednesday. Turned out to be a fabulous idea!!!We went in early, mainly for the food. With a very healthy appetite. And pretty much every dish outdid the last. For starters, we did thePrawnstar - succulent prawns n creamy tasty sauce

Parsi Style Salli Boti - crispy pub-style take on this traditional fav

Burnt Garlic Chilli Beef - This one stood out from the rest. Does justice to the chilli and beef and perfectly stri-fried

Kalmi kebab - well put together. Try it with the sauce served on the side. Quite yumm.

For the Veggies - pls try the Showstopper! Mac n cheese in crispy batter! :P

Our mains - I had the Lamb Shank Ghee Roast ... tender n delicious shank served with veggies on a bed of rice. The flavour on the lamb was fabulous.

I also tried the Stick Pork Ribs that were going around the table. It was a bit too sticky, maybe. Not the best I've had. And after the beef and lamb, I felt this could be cooked a bit better.

And finally the dessert ... Do try the Chef's special dessert platter. It's a grand combination of chocolate goodness.

We also did the Nutella Banana Quesadilla. You need to put together the elements well! And then scoop up a spoonful. I only wish there was enough ice cream to last the entire dessert. Because the combination of hot n cold, vanilla+banana+nutella pancake with the crumble on the side was perfect as a combination.

For the drinks - they have bottles on MRP - which on a proper long night out (considering they're open until about 2/3am) is a superb and more-than-worth-it deal. We were done with our meal once the crowd started pouring in - which mainly was there for the Club more than the Grub. But you must give this place a go for the food. It will leave you pleasantly surprised and your appetite well satiated! If you want to follow it up with a night of partying go in over the weekends. If you'd like a quieter meal and drinks, then maybe Sunday or Monday would be a better bet!

Dined here in January, right from our starters: Awesomosas and Sanskari Beef Tacos 😍, to our main course: Mixed Grill & Bacon Wrapped Chicken, to our desserts: Panacotta & Nutella Pancakes, everything was unbelievably tasty. I'm definitely going back, coz the menu is so tempting. Also, the service and hospitality was unparalleled.
Carl Rebello
Nice ambience and great appetizers, but the main course was highly disappointing. We tried 4 different dishes for the main course and to be honest none of them were great. Their quantity of chorizo rice was overwhelming though which was the only positive apart from the chorizo samosas.

The double whammy baconator whose description was heavenly was such a let down couldn't express how upset it left me when I actually bit into it.

The chorizo samosas were really good but the value for money was quite bad.

The Nutella Banana marshmallow crepe was decent enough but was flooded with crushed nuts which ruined the whole dessert for me.

If you are going here solely for the food then don't because there are better places around.

Couldn't rate kt less a wholehearted thanks to Mr. Anup who is managing the place for spoiling the evening we booked a table at 6 pm in the evening today ie 09.09.17 and were confirmed about our table being reserved we reach d there at 8 pm and the place was almost empty hardly 2-3 tables being occupied we told the attendant that we hve a booking and we were told that we can sit only upstairs to our utter surprise even when there was no one sitting downstairs no music being played nothing we could sit only upstairs and when we said that we don't like the way we were being treated in a empty place like that the attendant immediately said he can make us sit downstairs only in the main seating area and really pissed off when we sd we really don't want to get obliged he said that we may leave its upto us. Cool attitude......haaan nice one dude
Same when conveyed to Mr. Anup he also replied that we can sit in the main seating area in case we wanted to.....nice one.....
Thanks a lot ...... I am very much hopeful that rhis attitude is gonna take you guys to new heights in the hospitality industry......kudos

So we went to this place for a friend's birthday dinner and trust me this experience was totally worth it. The ambience had a retro look, with loud music (P. S. it was extremely loud) and amazing food makes you go crazy. Vegetarians have limited variety but each dish on menu is unique. Special mention to the working staff who is really enthusiastic and happy to help.

Having been to BSE in Mumbai, always wanted such concept pub in Goa. Showbar is a retro theme pub with great ambiance and Bar stock nights on every Fridays.

It's a new edition to Goa's nightlife. The place packed on Fridays.

Haven't tried the food yet. We just went to have couple of drinks.

Enjoyed the time there with some great Music.

Went here last night because I've heard a lot about the stock exchange nights, which are on the lines of The Bar Stock Exchange. Now here's the thing, I'm a regular at TBSE back in Bombay.... The reason being, the cheap alcohol prices. Was looking forward to the same thing at Showbar, but was quite disappointed as the rates are ridiculously high. 30ml of Old Monk was going for INR 100! I understand the concept of the fluctuating rates, but this was ridiculous! I paid INR 1500 for four glasses of Black and White, which is a lot more than I'd spend at TBSE in a night for a lot more, including food!
An addition to the goan nightlife n for all the party lovers get on your dancing shoes this is the right place to drop in...for a full on fun to Fri n Saturdays. This retro pub is the best with some antique props n the retro concept n design loved the interiors n an additional element to this is the stock exchange alcohol which is on spot. Drinks, music dance food lovely...just danced till we dropped.

The ambience will take you back to the golden era of Cinema, the first of it's kind in Goa which makes it stand out from every other restraunt. The bar stock here is a perpetual hit on Friday nights, definitely a place to be if you're looking to have a great time with friends.
I heard about chef Chris's food from a friend , and I had to try this place to see what was all the hype about, I was definitely blown away to food heaven! Thank you Chef Chris for such great recommendations like the
Classic fillet mignon , lamb shank , sticky pork spare ribs and my favorite the prawn star! Your food is delightfully yummy. Cheers!

A trip to Goa is incomplete without satisfying the gourmet in you. High-five to Showbar for the lipsmacking Cheesy pav bhaji Fondue (who says vegetarians can't enjoy in Goa?) and the foodgasmic Parsi Style Salli Boti. Can't wait to come back and have more!

Rubbing shoulders (or trying to!) with SinQ, this place is pretty average. I was there on a Saturday night and was expecting it to be better. Wouldn't expect the food to be too good as all you want is some finger food. The real disappointment was the dj. Showbar has the concept of alcohol stock exchange so that's one fun element.
Zubin Da Cruz
Absolutely love this place its ambiance is very unique and grabs your attention right away. The food is exceptionally good. Manager Anup and Chef Christopher and the staff will make sure no guest is left disappointed. You're also gonna end up tapping your feet by the end of the night as they have the best entertainment in town the best Live Bands, DJ's, stand-up comedians etc. perform at this very place... A place you just can't miss!!
Mohit Jain
Awesome place. Excellent food and very professional staff. They allowed two of us to sit in a seat with a capacity of five without any hesitation.
Loved the live performance by a band
We ordered veg quesadilla which was the best we have ever had! Awesome drinks and food.
Overall a must visit place in Goa!
Esha Nadkarni
Visited showbar on their Friday bar exchange nights and I wasn't too impressed. I have visited several bar exchanges in Bangalore which are better organised and use an app for placing the order. Showbar on the other hand has no such provision for an app which lowers the efficiency of the exchange.
The food tastes good but quantity given is less.
If you haven't been to a bar exchange before and want to experience it, this place is good.
It's probably better on regular nights but I wouldn't know.
It's a small place but tastefully decorated keeping the Bollywood theme in mind.
Gracious Dcosta
The best lamb shanks I've had in Goa ... The pork ribs are to die for ... U want something special just ask chef Christopher ... Unbelievable food... Good ambiance.... Wonderful music ... Good service.. what more can u ask for ...
Thank u show bar exchange
Thank u chef Christopher ....

To begin with seemed like a pretty good place ty hangout for a Saturday night. Went there after a few people recommended about stock exchange [which happens on Friday night]
the place as such is okay
Service is slow
Food is bad. Only thing good was french fries. Chicken satay was too salty.
Over prized for quantity of food given.
Music was terrible, for the first time heard a pub in Goa playing hindi music.

I personally would not recommend this place.
Pritesh Hirani
A vintage cinema bar; Showbar is a new pub near the popular club Sinq. It is a very well done up place with dim lights, posters of the classic movies..vintage car and scooter.... They had a live band playing to the popular hits songs...
If you're a vegetarian you barely have any options on the menu card...The cheese pav bhaji fondue and the nuggets in chipotle sauce were tasty and well presented....The alcohol is quite cheap for the ambience they offer....
Live band, good ambience, tasty food with cheap alcohol makes Showbar an ideal Saturday night hangout spot....
PS: Stags aren't allowed on a Saturday night...I'm not sure of the other nights...:P
This one is an amazing pub which offers great drinks with some rocking music to chill at. However it's highly congested which is big turnoff for me.
Kriti
Wanted to give it 4.5 but reduced a point because it was so so overcrowded.
Friday -- The prices here rock, the DJ is awesome, the ambiance is amazing.
Other days -- place is dead. Food is also horrible , so not one of those sit down places.
Leena Gaikwad
Very happening place, good crowd.. Similar to bar stock exchange.. But it's only on Friday.. Good music. Nice vintage cinema themed ambience.. Other days the drinks are on little costlier side and limited choices available. Food is good.

A must visit place in Goa. Showbar lives up to its name. With live music and couple of drinks it can be one of your best nights in Goa. Decent crowd. Mostly couple. Give it a visit on friday nights to have full fun. *The DJ was also Good.

Very happening place even in early June. Bar service quite a slow. Attended Bar stock exchange event on Friday night. Kingfisher premium pint costed 150 approx and rest 30ml liquor between 300-600. Dj rocked🤘

Cool place to hang out with live music..this is Goa's first bar stock exchange concept used here but only on Friday...no idea about food as I had gone there only for drinks.. ambiance is great..

Nice decor , look and feel of the place ! Was empty then night we went (2 tables )Very let down with their steak ordered for a medium rare steak and it was rare and chewy ! However we ate it cuz we were hungry but that landed up with a serious tummy upset. Also didn't like the flavour in the mashed potato had a peculiar taste which didn't somehow satisfy my tastebuds !
Service needs to improve and orders should be taken correctly. I liked the presentation, the beetroot and carrot purée along with bundled French beans n baby corn.

The latest edition to the Goan culinary and nightlife scene is Showbar - a retro pub situated in Candolim on the bustling Aguada-Siolim Road. The industrial themed interiors, antique props and original 'talkies' setting makes the gastrobar a great place to hang out with friends on literally any night of the week.

Chef Chris is a culinary genius. Food was off the friggen hook, best meal I've had in a while. Popcorn shrimp is the bomb digity. Definitely worth a try

Nostalgia sets in with the effort of deco taking you back in time to the cinemas of old. The meticulous details transport one back in time to the golden era of cinema and all things 'grand'. The food is unique and has a twist in a few of the preparation in the likes of the Pao Bhaji fondue. Very creative indeed. Also check out the fluctuating prices of the bar stock exchange and grab your drink at a steal.

Was Goa last month.. this was around 1.30am, when we returned from a family function and decided to go do this. On our way to Cohiba on a Fri night, i.e. the 6th May '17, we happen to see this place buzzing with lot music, good looking people but the fact that we had already planned so we just moved on and went to Cohiba....the place was shutting by then..so that's when we thought we had to go here, and trust me that was 1 of the best decisions we made.. I think there was a DJ event on and the music seemed on point l, the ambience was awesome, the people were too good, it was a great night.
They have this similar concept as Bombay Stock Exchange.. it was jammed packed that night. I can't really say about the good and service cuz I don't think we had any...cuz we din have a table until morning and were dancing our night away ,and purchased everything we could at the bar counter.. Inspite that it was a great night..
you enter through a hallway with a pool table and then through two small doors(I thought that was it) to find a big space inside..
they also have a pool table and crazy infrastructure...
We left the place at around 5.30am and the place was still buzzing. Cheers to Showbar!

Ambience : 5/5
Service : (don't know)
Food : (don't know)
VFM : 4/5 it was worth it!

This place is an experience. Its a lovely old bombay talkies themed bar. Well spaced out tables with tall ceiling and the stage bring a fresh vibe to this place. The food is nice too (I only got to try their starters). Batter fried squids and beef tacos and highly recommended. They keep having live music, stand up comedy and such events every now and then so do read up on what they have on any perticular evening before coming and even if they dont have anything in perticular, do come anyways coz I am sure you won't be disappointed.

Showbar has too much to offer. Other than serving excellent food that is very well plated this one of a kind cinema bar has some really unusual entertainment. This revamped old cinema hall has a huge screen, world class acoustics and a well stocked bar. Chef Chris and his team ensure the service is quick and food awesome. the balcony has good for hosting dinners. Overall new place in town - most recommended for the food, deserts, entertainment and ambiance.

This place has always been amazing.. it has an amazing ambiance.. the interiors have been done up very well.. the music played here is absolutely Devine (love the olden Goldie's).. the video clips remind me of the good old days... the food is just out of this world.. staff are really sweet and friendly.. the only thing I found little disappointing was changing the high tables to the lower ones ( I loved the high tables in there it brought about a different feeling) having that being said the overall experience has been great (recommend to all retro lovers, people who love live music and dance).. and I'll be visiting more often.. so see u soon... Cheers!!!

Thanks to a stand up comedy show of Sapan Verma we landed up at Showbar and did not regret it one bit. Now Showbar is a newer place opened up with this really unique concept where in they have this little stage of comedy shows and music also cinemas. The ambiance is amazing with great décor. The food was sooo delicious too. We mostly binged on the appetizers and everything we had was great. The tacos, beer batter calamari, gyros and the quesadilla, all of it just very well made. Service to was pretty good. It's a very different concept in Goa so I definitely recommend it.

Love the concept of this place, its like sitting at home and watching a movie during dinner time, the only difference here is that your looking at one big projector screen and and enjoying some WORLD CLASS cuisine. This food is not only pretty but also high on taste, like the Prawnstar, Desi Beef Tacos, Chicks on Sticks and The Showstopper were awesome appetisers. For mains you must try the Saltimboca A La Romana, Lemon and Mustard Fish Steak and the Classic Fillet Mignon. To end this delicious meal was the highlight of our dinner, Nutella marshmallow and Banana Quesadilla and the Dark Chocolate Whisky Tart.
