Review Robin's Ark Bar & Restaurant - Cavelossim

Good food considering price point. We were group of 5 so ordered everything from the appetizer menu. One can try this place as at this location there are only few options to eat from. Nothing special its just a place near the beach. Convenient.

The Ultimate Dinning Experience! We're Goans from South Goa, but don't live here. We came down for a wedding, lived in Panjim for a week, and returned to stay at Hati Mahal in Cavelossim. Over the past 2 weeks, we have dined at several restaurants, where the beef was tough & the pork had a thick layer of fat- I will write separately about these places. Of all those we visited, Reggae Haven was decent (more to come when I write about it). ×××××× Now, to Robin's Ark- we couldn't have found a better place to celebrate my brother's & his wife's wedding anniversary! The restaurant layout, decor and spaciousness is what attracted us here. It was a weekday & at 10pm when we walked in, the place was filled to capacity, with another 10 peeps waiting for a seat ahead of us. A special thanks to Tina D'Costa, who was in-charge last evening, and was able to seat all 10 before us, and our group was seated outside among the palm trees, all within 15 mins of our arrival & the weather was just nice! Tina had full control of the restaurant which seemed to have atleast 75 hungry peeps demanding her attention constantly. Her efficient servers were there on hand attentive to our needs. Everything on the menu seemed available. We started with a few Mocktails - Mango Harmony, Banana Bonkers, Virgin Colada & Blue Ocean to name a few & all were great. Snacks- Mexican Chicken cigar, Beer batter fish n chips and hot Chicken wings, delicious & good quantity for the prices🙂 Main course- Goan Sausage Pulav, Daal Tadka & Chicken kadai. Every item of food was delicious & later when we met the chef - Bidan, to thank him, we realized that he was a Bengali who cooked a delicious Goan Sausage pulav better than some of the so called "Goan" Restaurants & Clubs. Even the Daal Tadka was spot on delicious; the Mexican Chicken Cigars & the beer batter fish, tasty without being drowned in oil. It took a Bengali Chef to come to Goa, and dish out authentic Goan & Indian fare! Oh & there was a live band playing and yes, we managed to get on the floor for the last dance! 😀 I would highly recommend ROBIN'S ARK to everyone- don't waste your time & money elsewhere. Than you Tina & team for a wonderful evening!

One of my life’s favourite meals I’ve had in here. Whenever I travel to south goa this place is my go to place for my meals, Absolutely delicious food. Love this place ❤️

Everything served was tasty.. they have a wide spread menu.. from veg to non veg everything was good.. I loved the chilly pork.. they have live music.. the staff is very good

Robin’s Ark is really close to Novotel Dona Sylvia where we stayed in Goa. The food was great and well priced. The Cream of Broccoli soup was delicious but wasn’t hot when it came to the table. The Crab Rissois was amazing and the best dish I ate that trip. There was live music and several tables were filled which only made the place more inviting and relaxed.

Just amazing! The people, the place and the food. Live band adds to the zest. A bit of waiting but Ms. TINA (I hope I got the name correct) does an amazing job at getting the tables. The food too is lip smacking and well priced. We were busy devouring and enjoying the music thus couldn't take much snaps. They were a delight to the eye and tounge. Tasted many Goanese dish to our full. Staff too is very courteous, prompt and friendly. Kudos to the whole team!! Great stuff.

Everything is lovely about this place - quick service , humble staff, music , spacious and airy seating, variety of food and affordable price. Visited twice during our 1 week visit to Goa.

Probably one of the top 10 best restaurants on South Goa, this place offers a unique menu with fish and meat cooked to almost perfect. The tenderloin steak was tender and so were the prawns. The pork chilly fry was also good. The spicy lotus stem was overfried and hard but they replaced it with a softer version. Cocktails were great, i liked one smokey gin cocktail from the gin cocktail list in the menu.

Trips to Goa are incomplete without visit to Robin-s Ark if you happen to stay in Mobor, South Goa.....The food is at affordable price, tastes good & excellent for some dishes, Service is acceptably good, but the atmosphere they have created is A- One & if you are being welcomed by the likes of Floor Manager.....Tina, your visit will be taken care off in every sphere. I had twice visited this outlet for dinners in Mobor. So would certainly give it a rating of 4.7

Excellent food. The quality of food is really excellent. The presentation is superb and taste is too good. Ambience of the place is very nice Service is also very very good. Food was great. Live music was amazing as well. Also their manager Ms Tina was very warm. My 10 month old was sleeping in my lap, she offered to put chairs together so my baby can sleep on that.

I was missing North Indian food in Goa when I came across Robin's Ark - I really loved it. The tiramisu cocktail was amazing and so was the food. Must visit.

The staff is really welcoming and kind. The service is really quick. The food is super fabulous and yummy. The Vegetable pulav is really very tender and juicy. I tried the Mango harmony which was lovely. The Dahi ke kebab were the highlight of the evening. It was exactly the way I wanted it to be simply perfect and the sauce and chutney served with it were marvellous. Never have I ever tried one of it’s kind. The gravy of paneer tikka masala was thickest and lip smacking and the quantity of naan was the highest I’ve ever seen in any restaurant. Overall the best dining experience.

Lovely place with ample seating.. very good food, everything that we tried (paneer chilli and chicken quesadillas) was 5/5.. they have a great wine collection! Head out to Robin's ark and u wont regret it.. 😊

All the dishes we ordered were up to the mark, had a really good time here. Place was very hygienic as well

The service was truly pathetic. They didn't even give us proper plates, neither did the serve us the portions properly.<br/>When we complained about the fries being too salty, they just told us, "the fries are alright".<br/>The Ravioli we ordered was too rubbery and the stuffed chicken was over cooked.<br/>Over all, I would not even glance at this place again, lest recomend it to others.

Never this compelled to write a review and rate 5 stars. May be it was the pefected dishes, or the ambience and a effective staff or the unrecognised live performers. Find out for yourself.

We travelled quite a bit this time around. On our second day of stay we went to ‘Three Kings’ chapel’, which is supposedly haunted. The chapel was closed, but the place was serene and had a beautiful view of sea. For lunch, we went towards Cavelossim beach. This beach is beautiful and has plenty of eateries around. We have decided to stay there next year(dates are under discussion) :).

We had ordered Nachos and the quantity was too less compared to the price. The ambiance of the place was good.

Went there after two years and the food was still as good as it was then. Cream of mushroom is to die for. The cocktails and the mocktails are amazing. The staff is so nice they almost make you feel like you are at home. And they have live music which is very pleasant. If I could give 6 stars, I would.

Potato corn kabab were so delicious, roasted eggplant with fettuccine was a delicacy and coffee creme brulee was a fantastic ending. Love the vibe of this place. If you are in neighborhood, I would highly recommend this place.

Great place good food good With a live music band. Sober crowd and great ambience. We ordered cheese corn poppers, beef chilly fry, chicken wings and roti. The Poppers were soft and cheesy crisp on the outside and was served with streaks of dipping sauce. The beef chilly fry was very tasty had a goan touch to it and was made in a read masala. Wings were crispy and then tossed in a hot sauce which was simply delicious. The portion of food and the price was way better than the shack on the beach. Total value for money.

Robins ark was very close to where we were put up in Cavelossim. Walked in and got ourselves a table. The ambience was lively and this being an outdoor place was airy and comfy. <br/>The service was too slow and they didn’t have a choice of wines except Sula Satori. We ordered Pork chops which was okay, it tasted more like sweetened with sugar rather than any sauce. We ordered a salad which was drenched in vinegar and too sour to eat. Later we called for spaghetti bolognese which didn’t taste authentic at all more like it was cooked in tomato ketchup. Surely we weren’t expecting all this after reading the ratings and review on zomato.

We stayed at Novotel, Dona Sylvia and came out one night to taste the local food. It's just opposite the Novotel. Adjacent to a supermarket. Majority of staff was polite and handsome Naga boys, they were very courteous and polite. We ordered some chicken wings , tikka and beer and they were simply superb. We would love to come to this place again for an overall wonderful experience .

The waiters were excessively rude. When asked to prepare a table for 9, they prepared a table for 8, in the first place. Thereafter, upon being asked to add another seat, the waiter merely pointed to the chair instead of adding a seat to the table, leaving one of us to add the chair by ourselves.

Had their spanakopita, butter poached fish fillet and garlic pepper steak. Excellent food, good quantity and prompt service.

Lovely open place to have your meals. We ordered pasta, ravioli, mix Veg n roti. My kids relished pasta n I, my subzi -roti. There are not many food options in the area, out of which this looks one is really good . The price of the items are quite reasonable. too. Neat n decent ambience.

Visited this restaurant for Lunch with my family and had a great meal. We ordered for Veg Jalfrezi, Aloo Gobi , Dal Tadka along with Butter Naan, Garlic Butter Naan and Tandoori Roti. The food was delicious and the quantity was also good for the price. For drinks we ordered the Blue Lagoon and Virgin Colada which were also nice. The staff weren’t very trained though and weren’t very aware of the menu etc but it’s okay. Service was good but slow. Had a good time overall.<br/>

Went here at around 4 PM for some much needed food after we missed our lunch. The place was naturally empty at time time considering it was off season. The place is quite big and has a laid back feel to it. But there is a lot of scope for improving the decor. We orders fish fingers and a chicken starter. Both of them were good but nothing exceptional. The cocktails were sort of ok but I had tried their  Pineapple Saison - beer with a hint of pineapple. That was something new and I enjoyed it. Reasonably priced, this is a cool place to hang out with friends and family for good food and drinks. Overall Rating - 3.

Really amazing food! The Pesto Chicken is a must try! Revisited this place just to have it for a 2nd time. It is flavourful and even the ingredients used for plating it so beautifully were yum, they mingled with the dish so nicely which is rare.<br/>The Chicken Quesadilla was so nice and cheesy that it just melts in your mouth.<br/>The Nacho Mexicali is a nice starter to go for. It has nachos mixed in layers with 3 sauces - guacamole, salsa and cheesy sauce, and beans.<br/>The bacon wrapped shrimp wasn't that great so maybe give it a miss but do try the others.<br/>The mojito was refreshing and acts like a citrus burst in your mouth which is great.<br/>The ice cream tempura which is basically fried ice cream is done really well - crunchy flaked shell which houses melt-in-your-mouth ice cream. A perfect end to a wonderful meal.

He abused us for the simple reason that we requested for a change in place since we and the two infants with us were getting drenched. The place has no manager to whom you can speak to. The body language of the waiter was super aggressive. Worst experience in Goa ever.

This is a gem of a place. The beer battered fish and the calamari were super yum. The mojito was super tasty too. The location of this restaurant is very nice.

Loved this place! Prices are fair and the food is good. The sphagetti pasta we ordered for could have been better though. Overall, great ambience, amazing drinks and good food. One of the few places in South Goa to have a good time.

Chill vibes, friendly staff, hygienic and has a good variety of food. We were at Robins Ark twice during our visit to Cavelossim. We tried the Calamari, batter fried prawns, chicken quesedilla, fries, chicken dumpling soup and nachos.<br/>The calamari and prawns were delicious.<br/>The quesedilla was okay, wouldn't recommend.<br/>The chicken dumpling soup was interesting and simple and the nachos were very basic and sweet.<br/>Overall the food isnt the best but portions are good and due to lack of options in this area it becomes a pocket friendly good place to eat!

A must visiting place in South Goa. Went there two times in two days. Taste of food is awesome. We ordered Chicken chilli wings,veg pasta with white sauce, dal fry,tandoori roti,bhendi masala,matar paneer. Chicken wings was so amazing tgat we ordered for another time . The relaxed and well lit ambience of Robin's Ark is popular with guests. The starters were excellent although the portion was suitable for not more than 2 people. We had ordered the Bacon wrapped prawns with rosemary that was a winner among what we ordered. The Mongolian beef was good and also the stuffed Ravioli with five cheese sauce topped with grilled chicken was an amazing combination.<br/><br/>For desserts, we had the Coffee creme brulée and the tropical panna cotta which was okay and nothing compared to the brulée.<br/><br/>Overall it was a good visit and would like to try out more dishes

I wish the service was better. Struggled with some basic things viz serve water. Atithi devo bhava: courtesy? Well. I love Goa too much. They just did not listen at all and pretended to be way too busy for customer service.

Another jewel situated at cavelossim beach with easy access to Radisson blu,Novotel and leela...food we ordered was tandoor prawns followed by prawns sizzler and chicken xacuti... Food was delicious...ambience was superb....must visit.....

We dined here on three occasions during our one week stay in Cavelossim and on each one the food was outstanding. The service was slow, but, the idea was to slow down the pace and enjoy ourselves. The Roast chicken and watermelon salad are must do's.

We went here three times in two days - very close to Holiday Inn, Novotel and Radisson. The food was consistently amazing - we had a veg sizzler, dal, veg burnt garlic fried rice, pasta. The quality of food is just outstanding. Everything is freshly prepared. Kudos to the chef(s). Must visit whenever you’re in South Goa!

Great place, ambience & staff! Loved the experience. Visited them twice during our stay in cavelossim. All that we ordered was tasty and presented in a fantastic manner. Me and my wife visited this place after spending some quality time at the Cavelossim beach. The beach is beautiful and so is this restaurant. They have a very neat and hygienic place with nice decor and staff.<br/>We ordered the chicken wings, beef chilly fry for starters, the portions are quite good and the taste was great. The beef chilly was a bit chewy though.<br/><br/>Then we ordered the chicken sizzler and the Afghani chicken Tikka, both of which were awesome. We also had two virgin mojitos which was good too.

Though this place is really small, but with the apt way of accommodating a huge crowd Robin's arc is doing well. Mostly preferred for a dinner outing as it gives you a fantastic vibe. The Food matches up with the ambiance and draws the customers towards them. Service was good even though when it gets busy sometimes it tends to be a bit slow, but that's understandable.

The beer battered fish was spot on...<br/>And for main course the beef steak with ginger sauce and veggies was perfect........... A good palce with good vibe........

You don't want to miss the Tennessee beef steak 😋 We've had it twice - on and off season - and it doesn't disappoint! We also enjoyed the Dynamite shrimps (starter).

One must admit that a platform for feedback must be authentic. My friends and I came here for lunch and we were stunned by the kind of service they provided.<br/>It was horrendous. The food was an absolute disgrace.<br/>The servers were impolite and forcing us to eat a dish which did not please our palate. A fish sizzler which is exotic in aroma and tender in the mouth was not cooked well nor spiced.<br/>The manager was out of his mind to charge us for the dish, he kept arguing which potrayed poor cuatomer service.<br/>It wasnt that we did not give them another chance and order nothing, but the Mushroom Risotto, oh man! What blunder of the amount of cheese, it was over bearing.<br/>In all I'd say it was a hopeless lunch. Never coming back nor recommending it.<br/>

I've visited a fair few times, and in summation, I’d say that Robin’s Ark is worth a visit, in terms of looking for a decent steak in South Goa. However, there is massive scope for improvement on other fronts, though the potential is certainly there, if I’m being honest. And I hope it does happen, because I’d go there for the steak alone, so I’d definitely look at ordering plenty more, should the game be upped.

Finally reached to this place. Ordered many suggested dishes but amongst all liked only hanging chicken cafreal. Other dishes were OK. Ambience is good but it is non AC and in summer it is very hot there.

This place doesn't fail in letting out its chill out ambience accompanied by good food, drinks and live music. The staff and management are polite and courteous. A must try..!

Lovely ambiance with mouth watering dishes like beer batter fry prawns, spanakopita, mexican chicken cigars. The asian soup tasted yum along with dumplings and garlic bread. Overall a lovely place to spend on a sunday afternoon with chilled beers.

Beautiful location and good food! Tried their soups, pasta and Goan fish curry, and appetizers. The flavors sit well on your palate and the ambience definitely ups the entire experience. Although service is lacking, the food doesn't disappoint.

It is a great mix of Mexico and Goa. The prices are a little on the higher side but it’s worth the quality and ambience. We ate : Snapakopita (spinach and cheese samosas), dynamite prawns, fried shrimps, chicken bbq, fried ice cream & coffee creme brûlée. The service is fast and on point. If you’re in South Goa with friends, do visit this place!

Great food even for vegetarians. We ordered a mix veg, veg pulao and daal plus naan n rotis. All was freshly cooked. Nice ambience and welcoming staff. Overall excellent experience. Worth a visit if you are in South Goa!

We had to order from the Late lunch menu as we reached there at 3 pm but what they had in for us was totally wonderful. The food is totally yum finger licking and mouth watering. I also like how the portions are almost enough for an individual with an average apetite. Order for the beer battered fish and the Dynamite shrimps.

One of the best restaurants in south goa hands down. Excellent service along with delicious food makes this place worth a visit. Food is also not that expensive when you compare with other restaurants in that area.

The food here was really scrumptious. The staff was courteous and friendly. Ambience is good. Though the service is real slow. Also, the basic water and chopped onions are served real late. They need to improvise on their services<br/>

Delicious. I’ve had the chicken quesadilla which is amazing. The first time over, we tried some Chinese dishes which were a pleasure too. <br/>The bartender whipped up some real good pina colada for me too. <br/><br/>All in all, this place is a must visit! Staff is super polite, and there nothing I can complain about.

Lovely lively place on the road which leads to the beach with live music. From a vegetarian point of view there were quite a few options. Nachos and mocktails are good. The manager was very helpful and accomodating despite the rush but the service was a bit slow and a bit biased for the foreign tourists. Must visit if you are at this end of goa.

Ate there twice during Sept ‘18. Great continental food and excellent cocktails - the best BloodyMary I’ve had in a long time ! Mid range prices - value for money. Informal ambience and friendly staff. Looking forward to going there again during our next trip to Goa in Dec’18.

One good place to go to if you are staying in South Goa. I stayed at Novotel across the road so ended up coming to this place nearly everyday, during my stay. Tasty food, nice portions at a decent price. The staff is friendly. Even though I came here everyday, I still felt like coming back again and again (its a big deal for a person like me...who judges places even with the water they serve ;) ). Every dish I ordered was well cooked and well presented too. A big thumbs up to this place!!!

Great ambience and great food. <br/><br/>Noticing a popular restaurant as we rode along the road to Mobor, we decided to call it an evening and munch here. A quick recon of the ratings gave us confidence. This place didn’t let us down. <br/><br/>The ambience is great, with outdoor seating that overlooks the beautiful Goan roads. The music played that night went well with the feel of the restaurant. It is another plus that this restaurant is located in a shopping complex that has an old world charm. <br/><br/>It was here that I tried Xacuti and fenny. I also had tawa fried fish, which was moderately spiced and juicy inside. I don’t like it when fish is cooked soggy but here they had done it right. The Xacuti was yummy, we liked the blend of flavours in the dish. Also, the quantity served was good enough for two. <br/><br/>The service was excellent, we were well attended by the staff and got recommended good dishes. Would definitely try to come here next time I visit Goa.

The food here is a gastronomical delight. We had the bacon wrapped prawns, the butter garlic fish fillet (sea bass) and the signature Sorrentina shrimp. In order of taste and plating, I'd go with the sea bass, the bacon wrapped prawns and the Sorrentina prawns.<br/><br/>We also ordered a couple of cocktails but these could do with a bit more alcohol (which is why only 4 stars and not 5). The service was very good and Mr Gupte really friendly and courteous.<br/><br/>Definitely recommend going there if you are around here.

This seemed to be one of the most frequented restaurants in this part of Goa. Very neat and tidy and provides a good option for Dinner, if you're staying in Southern Goa.

The place is very lively with good music ! It’s got a open ambience with modern touch ! Food is good .. whatever we ordered was very good .. except for one desert which we found very average

We visited this place three weeks back. Food is served very well , excellent taste, decent portion and quite reasonably priced. We will surely visit again soon. Cheers !

Awesome experience..must visit if in South Goa..<br/>Tried Hanging Chicken Cafreal in starters which was yum. Chicken was tender and juicy served with crispy fries. For mains, we ordered fish sizzlers and butter poached fish fillet which again was excellent. Fish cooked to perfection. In desserts, their coffee creme brulee is a must try!!<br/>

The place is nice it has got good ambiance and music but the food is average! I think I have had better fish curry and way better choriz pulao in goa! Nevertheless the service and the ambience was good!

Lovely place. Food was really good. Pan fry chicken and pasta with mocktails n cocktails were excellent to start with. Followed by main course which was good too.. if you are staying on cavelossim you must try this place

Robin's ark is a nice dine out option if you are in South Goa. This place is almost always packed so do make your reservations, else you may end up waiting for a good 30-40mins. The place has a good vibe and ambience, but the staff could be a little more courteous towards the guests. The white sauce pasta here is something you shouldn't miss. The mocktails are good too.

We dropped in Robins Ark as last minute plan for our lunch during Goa trip. But to our surprise it was just the right choice. We loved each and every dishes what they served and their staffs were too friendly. And we dropped in for one dinner too. :) We had their mongolian beef , fish curry rice , butter garlic snapper , grilled herb fish, teriyaki chicken, burnt garlic fried rice, beer battered fish, fish masala fry and cocktails is what we had .. we liked all of them.

The food here is good. But we not happy with all the dishes. The chicken wings and batter fried prawns were good, but the cheese cigars were not. The hanging chicken cafreal, which is one of their signature dishes, looked good but had almost no taste to it.<br/>The highlight of this place is the service, which is incredibly quick. We were served all the dishes that we asked for within 15 minutes or less even though the place was full.

The D'Mello brothers own this place. Very humble and lovely people. What I loved eating here was the chicken cafreal. Their food is good. Ambience is good, open air. Parking space is an issue.

Great food and a lovely ambience for a lazy evening in Goa. <br/>Their menu is quite diverse. I had ordered Vegetable succotash, chicken quesadillas , watermelon cooler and paneer tikka masala. The preparations were delicious for both Italian and Indian cuisines. Also, their guacamole deserves a special mention. Highly recommended.

Got to Robin's ark around 7.30 pm after a visit to the Serene Cavelossim beach .... Started off with the lobster soup and then ordered bacon wrapped prawns, Shrimp Dynamite and crab cakes. The bacon wrapped prawns were out of this world and the shrimp Dynamite and crab cakes were delicious. For the main course we ordered pork vindaloo and sorpotel plus a Tennessee beef steak. All three dishes were flavorful and the steak was cooked to perfection. Coming to the highlight of the evening which was the desert. We ordered the panna cota which was mindblowingly delicious and the banana ice cream was yummy and creamy.<br/>The service was quick and helpful. Would have given 6 starts if there was an option. Definitely recommend this place to everyone starting around South Goa !

A great place, plesant ambience, quick service. The staff is good with suggestions. The food is really good.<br/><br/>For the starters we ordered the hanging chicken cafreal which is a must try, absolutely loved it, Mexican Chicken Cigars and Dynamite shrimps.<br/><br/>For the mains, pastas (cheese sauce and marinara sauce), stuffed chicken breast which was good, roast chicken, grilled prawns in Modern French Style.<br/><br/>A must try: hanging chicken cafreal, dynamite shrimps, grilled prawns in Modern French Style and Stuffed Chicken breast.<br/><br/>

We just tried Robin's Ark on the first day of our vacation and ended up visiting this place on all days of our vacation. We also visited a few other restaurants in the vicinity but always ended up back to Robin's Ark to have something better.<br/>Food is great. Service is great too. Location is also great, a sea side view though would have made this place perfect.<br/>Asia inspired chicken soup, Cheese corn poppers, prawns madrasi, beef chilli fry, chicken sizzler, exotic veg tikka, burnt garlic fried rice..All of these were a treat to the taste buds. Would definitely like to come back here on our next vacation to Goa.

We ordered grilled fish, steak and crispy fried prawns. All dishes were yummm. It's like eating in a fine dining place. The dessert portion was generous too. All in all awesome experience. Will go back for sure.
