Wonderful floating restaurant in the Hooghly river with panoramic view and serene atmosphere. Food is of superior quality with ample quantity. Staff behaviour and services are also very nice. Would love to go back there again as the upper deck was not accessible this time.

Atlast a evening time we visited the Riviére Habitat also known as Joloshree. This is the only fine dine floating restaurant on the river Ganges in Hooghly District. This sitting area has two parts. One indoor which is movable like luxury boat and another open air jetty. Ambiance was attractive. We had ordered Shami kebab, Crispy chilli garlic fish, Chicken burnt garlic fried rice, Fish in black pepper sause, hot garlic chicken and Darshan with ice-cream. All items were good to taste, worthy according to quantity and price. Staff's were professional and cordial. Overall good experience and recommend to all.

Amidst the bank of the Hooghly river, this floating restaurant is one of its kind. One of the most noticeable aspects of this place is the sublime view of the riverfrom the restaurant itself. Now coming to the food, really loved each and every dish I've had, especially the Ceaser Salad and the Mac N Cheese. The quantity as per the price point is absolutely worth. Hence, it's highly recommended to come here and experience the vibe.

Best place I've ever visit. Here u don't need any entry fees, totally free of cost. Environment is too good and peaceful. Scenic beauty is glamorous. Best place for visiting with family and friends. On the entrance u see many flower plants and many more things. Here u can see different types of bird inside this asram. Behaviour of staffs are also good. Main attraction is that white temple. Uff😻 the ambition 👌👌 Parking lot is present u can park ur four wheeler also two wheeler. U can spend ur quality time with ur friends and family at here. Have a good day 🤗🤗

On a bike ride on weekdays we went to explore Chandannagar. Went to Jalashree, The Riviere Habitat (that’s what it spells) for lunch.. It’s a floating launch on the river run by West Bengal Government. Ambience is great and food is mediocre with usual pricing.

There is always a long waiting time at this place so try to arrive early in order to be seated in time to sate your hunger. The Indian dishes are average and nothing exceptional. Unfortunately didn't have the opportunity to try out the occidental dishes this time. Will go back sometime to try them out. The view, if you manage to be seated on the riverside table is great. So suggest you wait a little longer to be seated on this side. The upper deck is slightly crammed up for me personally but do take a peek to decide for yourself.

This place is worth the visit. The ambience, the view steals the show. Very polite staff and the food is also very delicious. The starters are too good but the mutton kosha and prawn malai curry are not up to the mark.

The meal was delicious, the atmosphere was fantastic, and Miss Nomita's hospitality was the icing on the cake. We truly enjoyed our lunch there. I highly recommend trying the kasundi mahi tikka—thanks again to Nomita for suggesting it to us!
