Review Sindhi Sweets - Chandigarh

Arijit Das
We reached at around 9:15 AM at the sector 8 outlet of Sindhi Sweets to try Chana Bhatura. The place was not ready yet but they were prompt to clean the table and take our oder. We ordered Chana bhatura, sweet lassi and gulab jamun. Unlike Delhi, here the chana was prepared with kabuli chana instead of regular chana. The alu accompanying the bhatura was pretty tasty. Overall it was good. Lassi was nice and thick and the gulab jamun was good but could have been better if they served it warm.

Khana quality is very good Services are great People are very humble
Rakesh Das
The taste is awesome comparatively near restaurants. Corn-Mashrum has an awesome taste. Slight costly for average middle class .
Shalini Amutha
Really a good shop with quality food I would recommend all of my friends
Kunal Mohanty
Delicious selections of North Indian snacks and sweets. The service is swift and the food is above average.Chola bhatura and Raj Kachori was great. Seating area has decent arrangement for a small crowd. One may find rush during the evenings. Very ideal for quick bites.
urvashi arya
On Navratri I had special navratri Thali here. Full of taste and delicious Pakwan. Mouthwatering Must try once
prashanth amanchi
Quality is just awesome, seating arrangement and ambience is superb, sweets, chats all have wide range of varieties.
sarjeeta sharma
The food is really good here. Really helpful staff. Presentation wise I'll rate it 4/5 but tastes really good..
Manish Kala
Undoubtedly the most famous sweet shop in Chandigarh. They serve the most delicious sweets, the prices are a bit higher but then the quality speaks for itself. Parking may be an issue in the evening. The staff is very cooperative. The service is a bit slow both I placing the order and it's serving.
gourav kapoor
I have been served after closing on request… mr DEEPAK HELPED ME ON TILL … these guys are best .. must VISIT
Punam
Tasty Food, with all variety, You can buy all types of Sweet, Mithai, Chocolate from here also
Aditya Jaitak
Had lunch. The parking was full and this has been the trend in this sector for many years. Masala dosa was good and consistent as per their usual taste, but Executive thali was simply better than before, items did not taste sweet like they usually do in Sindhi sweets, which made the experience excellent.
Gursimran Singh
Yummy food cool ambiance, a proper place for bakery n dairy food lovers, it’s a place which shows a perfect blend of modern place providing ethnic meals
Saty Arya
Customers plz check the prices in the menu before you pay the final bill. Yesterday i ordered food from take away menu but the prices on the bill were higher than it was listed in the menu (yes "vat" was also included) and it was not mentioned anywhere that they will charge extra for take way orders. Had a argument with couple of there counter staff but those stupids had no idea what was going on. Be Aware people, dont let them rob you like that, food is over priced any way. (happened at sec 17 sindhi) Thanks

It was my first visit to Chandigarh and I had some real good expectation from the city. Sindhi Sweets was the first place of city that I had food at. The food was really was mouth watering and delicious.
Arvind Dhr
It's a very low quality place, I ordered Chole bhatoore was served very bad looking poori, taste not good, nd that too in Punjab where everyone knows the difference between poori &bhatora , dahi bada was tasteless and very substandard, cutlery was dirty. Over all I would say pls avoid the place.
Jagdeep Deol
I was wondering Sec 17 last year and hungry supposed to be get lunch at Sindhi coz it’s clean and popular for good quality food and I ordered ambarsari naan and waiter came and put empty plates, fork, knife, paper towels at table and suddenly I saw the cockroach from my plate to table shit I hate that I didn’t complaint anyone because I know they will said sorry and that’s it and I eat some and leave all the food and drop the money at table. If you wanna you can get the taste coz it’s very very popular for their Desi ghee mithai, and other stuff. But I will never see this place again in my life.

worst thali i ate today at sindhi 17 chandigarh, and no body to take care of wuality of food being served

Neeraj Kumar
I don't know if we chose wrong or what but the food was not at all tasty. I haven't tasted that much bad food in like last three or four years. i"m really disappointed.
Vandanaa Sharrma
Worst experience. I have been thrice at elante shindi. Everytime I got hairs on food. I guess they serve hairs then food
Lokesh Dutt
They handle everything good.. Specially on COVID 19 good food proper with packaging only issue is with prices else everything is perfect.. But the only problem with Sindhi Sweets is quality of Cake is 0% not a good one. seems like I was eating some sort of bread putting some caramel on it.. didn't expect that sorry but I have to say other restaurants makes it better.. the same quality I was getting from a ordinary bakery.
Harshita Shekhar Jain
It's one of my favourite place to visit with my family. The place has so much to offer from Indian to chineses and Italian food. The quantity served is quite enough for 2 persons to have it at a time. My favorite pick would be cheese nan gravy and Chinese platter
Gautham Jayan
this is the worst experience ever. CH airport branch. Open and something else has come. Expensive. Worst.
Parmod Bhatia
My fav place in Chandigarh best for family and children

I visited Sindhisweet sector 8...and i ordered<br/>1-bhelpuri:not up to mark<br/>2-golgappe-ok ok<br/>3-pav bhaji-too yummy<br/>4-rasgulla-good
Harmanpreet Singh
Going to this place for over a decade now,Family Friendly Place.Ambience is ok with decent sitting available<br/>Tried a lot of Dishes,Chaat is one of the best i like here,Chana Bhatoora is also very good,North indian cuisines are ok but i love Cheese Naan here.Noodles are yummy and South indian items are delicious i really like dosa here,Last but not the least their sweets they have maintained their quality and its pretty good.<br/>Food 4/5<br/>Quality 4/5<br/>Hygiene 3.5/5<br/>Service 4/5
Gagandeep Singh
Worst experience in Sindhi at sector 8 outlet. We ordered channa bhatura. The bhaturas had patches of cockroaches. We got it replaced and later found a huge stone in Channas almost as big as size of channa.
Herry
Came here and ordered paper dosa..it was very yummy and crispy..the sambhar was too delicious..the coconut sauce was the best. The place was good as well..neat and clean. Must visit if you want to try something crispy and tasty
Gurjot Sethi
easy on pocket, great taste. evergreen place to visit with family, but the food lacks consistency, sometimes it is so damn good, while sometimes its a bummer, amyway its still worth the price.
Saloni Grover
Sindhi sector 17 is a brilliant branch but sector 8 is really low quality.... the sweets were stale, the food did not taste nice, it was not expected of sindhi because at sector 17 , everything is perfect and superbly managed and of a very high quality, please dont ruin the reputation of sindhi brand and improve your branch.
Sai Aanchal
If you love Sindhi then don't miss visiting their Sector 8 outlet. It's a good place for Channa Bhatura, Paneer Naan with gravy, Falooda Kulfi, Desi Ghee Motichoor Ladoo. Their Falooda Kulfi is very good in quantity and cannot be relished by one person if one has a full stomach - it actually needs two people to finish it but it tastes excellent. I found Sector 8 outlet of Sindhi excellent in comparison to it's other outlets - there is something special about this place.
Vinayakk Singh
I have ordered Kesar Rasmalai and Chana kulcha, Rasmalai was good but Chana Kulcha was not upto the mark bread quality was not so good and soft Chana taste was good.<br/>Kesar Rasmalai 3.5/5<br/>Chana Kulcha 2.5/5
Aastha Sharma (the_grub_tales)
Great food 🥘and pocket friendly, amicable staff, quick service.<br/>A perfect family restaurant. <br/>Can count on the quality of their food anyday, anytime.
Veera Swami
We ordered grilled sandwich, dhokla and cold Coffee.  The preparation time taken by the staff was quiet less.      Enjoyed my experience here.
Goldy Singh
We ordered Bhel Poori, dhokla and cold Coffee. Everything was superb, taste , freshness , quantity  & specially the quality of the food. All were exceptionally good.
Sandeep Rana
We ordered grilled sandwich, dhokla and cold Coffee. The service is quick and the staff is very polite. Would love to go here again. Thumbs up to a place like this.
Puneet Singla
Food quality and the taste is very poor, basement sitting smells . i ll not recommend this place to anyone . never expected this from sindhi sweets
Anshu Arora
They have huge variety of snacks, desserts etc. I tried the North Indian cuisine and it was really good. Service is not up to the mark. I love the concept of bakery in it. Their chocolates and puddings are delicious 😋. Great place to enjoy with friends and family.
Varun Ranade
Clean seating place and good staff. I felt that the food here is better than any other sindhi sweet outlet in chandigarh and I have been to 3 others. Good quantity of food is served.
Tangy_jalapenos
This place is known for its authenticity. Almost everything is made from Desi ghee. The flavours and presentation of the food is just great. The sweets are just too yumm. Staff is generous too.
Jaan Baaz Singh
You got to try their fresh fruit and fruit cocktail cake (available only on order and by weight 0.5 and 1 kg)... Don't go by Sweet shop...you won't regret
The_Scrumptious_Foodie
The food has a different variety but still not up to the mark,<br/>Spices are usually mixed up so badly that it hurts to even taste 😫<br/>The paneer masala items are just awful<br/>Spring roll tastes a lot better than that<br/>So I would suggest u to have less masala item here<br/>To talk about ambiance the ground floor is great but the basement where people sit looks like a hospital because of furniture and texture 😅
Bhawna Thakur
They have a wide variety of food but the quality isn't that good. I had a strand of hairs on my noodles and they were quite unapologetic towards it. The service they offer is a bit too rude as well.
Ravish Arora
So much variety of snacks and food is available .. I have tried South Indian food which was not so appealing but bakery stuff is good in quality and taste !!!
Sachin Asija
Good and tasty sweets.<br/>Bit expensive when compared to others but sweets seem fresh and original(something not mixed with any cheaper item). Go and try once.
Abhishek Vashisht
A good place to visit with family. They have extra seating in basement. Place is not that crowded. Cheese nan with Gravy and Rasmalai are awesome to try with.
Simar Oberoi
A nice place to dine in with family and friends ❤<br/>Food is good flavours are yummy 👌<br/>Sitting area is huge and they have 2 parts one is basement area and one is top<br/>The place is quite happy place with all types of people visiting there are of all age group<br/>We had tried dosa its was good 😘<br/>Sandwiches yummy and properly grilled 🍴<br/>Chaat papdi was delicious 😍😍<br/>Chilli garlic noodles very yummy and tangy<br/>And in sweet dish i had raj bhog .. Choco pastry and.. Spoonge rasgulla which were the delight ❤<br/>So this is my review of sindhi sweets hope u like iy ❤❤
Robin Kaushik
Awesome Place For Changa Bhatura Lovers I Have Tried The Gopals Chana Bhatura And chana Bhatura From Sindhi Sweets Sector 17 outlet But Here In Sector 8 Outlet It’s Awesome Staff Is Very Nice And Service is Good
Rahul Gohra
I went to this place with my family, service is fast, restaurant was clean,<br/>Should have good music too. Portion & taste wasn't good as it should be. Rest all good.
Süârtî Çhóudhàry
awesome
Yogesh Chauhan
I have zomato treat membership but I didn't receive any treat with your meal.
Avnish Negi
the place is good for vegetarian but the quantity they serve is very less a person like me had to order 2 thalis because one cannot be satisfied
Damandeep Singh
I asked for no curd as the person eating the food is allegic. the restaurant instead sent two compartments full of curd in the thali.<br/>Food tasted good though.
Daksha Dhingra
Sindhi has surely a good name in the city. But I was kinda disappointed by sector 8 outlet. The outlet is averagely maintained as compared to other Sindhi outlets in the city. <br/>Now comes the food. Got this vanilla icecream shake and it was very, very, very average somewhat 3/5. Definitely overpriced considering it’s taste. <br/>The chat and gollgappa is was very averagely presented. Like just everything was mixed. But it tasted decent. <br/>Pao bhaji was yum in taste. <br/>.<br/>.<br/>Ambience : 3.5/5 (we were sitting in the basement)<br/>Taste : 3.7/5 <br/>Presentation: 3/5 <br/>Value for money : 3.2/5 <br/>

Best place for everything. Family Dinner. Parties❤ The taste is delicious. Always go there once in a week. Honey Chili cauliflower, Mix veg, butter naan, Recommended
Arun Kumar
Pathetic service. The food is good but the service is pathetic. I placed order for food (one of them was pulao), when I opened the pack in my home. They gave me steamed rice. What's hilarious is that, they are not even Sry for this.
Saurabh Kainth
Best place to have lunch Brunch or dinner. Economical too. Chinese, South Indian or North India, everything is value for money. Few of best dishes are Tokri chat, cheese naan vd gravy, channa bhature, uttpam and dosa.
Shanu Dua
Manager asked me to get up from my seat and to another seat without any explanation or reason...even they don't give a damn to their mistakes
Street Food Chandigarh
Try medium thali.. It was Amazing..sufficient for 1..musttry.. Dal makhni amd panner butter masala was amazing.. Rice need to cook more, gulab jamun is amazing.raita is superb(because i love curd😅). And tandoori roti is perfect.. Not over cooked.. Musttry😋😋😋
Ripul Soni
Me and my friends go there only for cheese nan with gravy its flavor is best we always go there but there service is not up to the mark they are very slow in service sometimes
TheShimmerFoods
Had this amazing cake for my uncle's birthday from the very own family restaurant sindhi. Too good believe me the chocolate cake seemed to melt as soon as you put it in your mouth. The decoration of the cake is just so perfect. This 1kg cake is enough for a family of 8. The cakes here all were fresh and this cake was offered for ₹400/- and truly can be called a value for money article. Highly recommend Sindhi for their cakes.<br/>Quality-5/5<br/>Price-4.5/5

This is one of the affordable family restaurants .. this place is mostly crowded because of the affordability factor probably ... but :/ there are only a few things on the menu which are really good .. the staff doesn't give much attention to the guest because of the amount of rush .. <br/>Coming to food : <br/>Honey chilly paneer : it was good tastes good .. <br/>the paneer was really soft and easy to chew and was prepared nicely.<br/><br/>Honey chilly cauliflower: it was 🌶 as i like but did not taste as good as the panner one. The cauliflower was really hard to chew.<br/><br/>Chole bhature: it was just okay nothing too fancy about those .. the vegetables served along are aloo and channe .... probably need to work on it.<br/>It can taste way more better.<br/><br/>Veg choupsey : It had pineapple topping which was nice and different . It had a lot of vegetables mushrooms, carrots , onions etc which made it taste even better ... <br/><br/>Pau bhaji : It was loaded with butter and oil a lot of oil and butter 😛 to an extent that i couldn't finish it . <br/><br/>What to try: Paneer naan with gravy, veg noodles 🍝 , special sindhi toffee (it is really nice)<br/>Avoid: pau bhaji, pastries (sometimes stale),masala dosa the sambhar is not as good .<br/><br/>Recommend: Yes (if on a budget)<br/>Quality: 3/5<br/>Quantity:3.5/5<br/><br/>

I had dinnér with my family at sindhi sweets sector 8 last night. The quality of food was not at good. We ordered channa bhatura and could feel a sour taste coming from them. Even the chapatis were little sour ,seemed to be made flour kneeded 1 day ago. Of the 4 dishes, only the cheese nan with gravy was a little appreciable. Quantity seemed fine but quality was not at all good. Not at all expected from a brand like sindhi sweets.
Agam Singh
The best family restaurant in Chandigarh. Our family gathers here once in every 2 weeks. The prices are reasonable and the waiters courteous. I have almost tried each and everything over here but the best stuff is the cheese/ mashroom nan with gravy, paneer uttapam , pao bhaji, sindhi special dosa, paneer tikka butter masala, paneer chowmein, papri chat, bharwa golgappe, rawa paneer dosa, chana bhatura ,cheese chilli, chocolate pudding, gulab jamun. In my point of view it is the best among the other branches of sindhi. Moreover they have good quality cakes .Giving a 4.5 because the interiors are a bit dull and no wifi as well .

Today I went here for a late lunch and they were not busy. It took awhile for them to come to take the order despite there being plenty of staff hanging around. After we ordered we noticed that the table was sticky and had dried dal spilled on it. They came and did a quick wipe but when I pointed out that there were still chunks of dried dal everywhere he complained to me and said it was the coloring of the table. I scratched some off to show him and he mumbled something and walked away. I don't see why wanting a clean table is such a big deal. <br/><br/>The food came quick and I had the dal roti and a banana shake. The food was good along with the shake except for the roti, which was crispy and hard. When we were finished it was a big hassle to pay the bill. They wouldn't bring it to the table and after 10 minutes of waiting I got up to go pay and he told me I had to wait because the guy was not there to print the bill. <br/><br/>I give the food a 4 and the service a 1.

We can't expect more from middle class moderate budget restaurant but at least good food; very much disappointed with food couple of times. I don't think I'll visit them again.
Hardil Noor Singh
Sindhi sweets great chole bhature have a old world charm a great fast food restaurant with other options as well the pizzas are great too Indian touch with ample seating availability
Pranay Juneja
One of the best places to enjoy food and snacks in Chandigarh; Chhole Bhature and Stuffed Kulcha are all time favourites; Don't forget to try fried rice and end with Walnut pie
Rahul Suri
Food was served in a dirty plate. Service is also not up to the mark. Dont want to write anything else, its just ive to reach 140 mark in review
Tejinder Benipal
Having dinner with family ordered veg thali, Taste was good and quantity also good, difficult to finish one thali for a single person. My one of the favourite restaurant, I am visiting this place since 2010.
DaMan Singh
This is the favorite place for mohali ppl. Great joint for friends and families. Food quality is good and at moderate price. I visit this place quite often with my roommates. <br/>😊😊

Loved the food<br/>Ordered lassi and chole bature and it was yum<br/>Food 4/5<br/>Service 4/5<br/>Ambience 4/5<br/>Value for money 4/5<br/>I will surely like to visit this place again
Rahul Miglani
This place is one of the oldest in city as per my information. Sindhi sweets is serving delicious food and sweets since years now.<br/>Starting with the place .<br/>Its one great sweet shop decently decorated all over.<br/>The food is simple but tastes great.<br/>Service is pleasing and is as quick as possible .<br/>Overall a perfect place for family's dinner at a reasonable budget.
Kanwal Preet Singh
Going to this restaurant since childhood... Food is good and so is the ambiance. Also accompanied by the variety of deserts. Obviously, the menu card is under-budget !!
Navjot Sandhu
I would have never even visited this place like ever because being a hard core non vegetarian i hardly go to all veg places, but then this place is near to where i joined classes recently so i go there for lunch<br/>I have tried a vast range of their food and most of it was good, their burger, garlic noodles, manchurain ,dosa, idli, tikki, dhokla, chana bhatura ,i can go on and on. Only thing tht wasnt good was their grilled sandwich<br/>And the reason for 3.5 rating is bcz of the staff<br/>Their waiters are simply dumb and dnt evn take order properly and arent even courteous
Golgy Taak
Awesome food. Dal makhni, paneer t. B. Masala, and tandoori roti. Really good. Quick service. A very good restraunt to dine with family. Hope we wil visit again... best wishes to sindhi group.
Sangeeta (lifeisavacation.in)
I was transiting through Chandigarh and Sindhi Sweets was next to the hotel I was staying in.Sector 8C. The lassi was sweet and creamy and I loved it. Ordered a katori.chaat which was filled with aloo, chana, lots of dahi and garnished with chutney. It was tasty but very heavy. Finally had a ras malai and it was yumm, soft, juicy and right amount of sweet. For a Bangalorean, it was simply heavenly.
Ujjwal Sachdeva
Ppl might shoot me fr writting negative review fr every 2nd resturant.. but im saying d truth... chandigarh food speciality is getting down day by day.. Now coming to sindhi... wat abt it... yes its located in d posh area... yes it has a brand namee.. but taste. ? ... service .. ? lost.... yes we can gett better kulchas and bhaturas wid d street vendors... But we cannot go for family dine out over to street vendors... its d social life which we have to follow.. But these big mouths.. are taking advantage now... i mean its a monoply they r carrying now... STOP PLEASE ...GET OUT OF UR DECEPTION MODE.... :(
Abhishek Sharma
The food is better then others...the service is quite low...overall material n dinning is excellent.good to have in this place.small parties here can be done in quite a rate☺😊

This place has been there since my childhood. The moment you enter the place , it engulfs you with aromas from all corners of India . Dosas , Bhature Cholle and Indianized Chinese. <br/>Sindhi is still golden for Bhature Cholle. I will keep coming back this place for Bhature Cholle . I prefer it over Gopals and Bikanervala. <br/>Also , Can't disagree with a lot of reviewers mentioning MotiChoor ladoos. They are absolutely melt in your mouth. I reckon one of the best for quite a distance.
Vijayant Khanna
One of the oldest sweet shop in chandigarh!<br/>Sindhi has been the name for mitahis and all sorts of food one can get at a halwais shop.<br/>My personal favourite from the outlet will always be the moti choor ka ladoo and the tokri samosa (which is available in sector 8 only).<br/>They make some really good ladoos, the ladoo is so soft it just melts away as soon as it gets into mouth. The pure desi ghee can literally be felt and the best part is the kaju piece thats filled inside. During festive times the preparation goes a little down though.<br/>Coming to the samosa, you wont find this kinda thing anywhere in chandigarh. The samosa isnt too big but the way its made with paneer pieces inside, its actually very nice.<br/>The rest items served in the restaurant are average.
Shivam Jindal
Nice place to eat with family. Tasty and quality food and sweets. But there are better places in Chandigarh. Find them in zomato according to the ratings.
Arti
Good snacks & sweets but pricey.  Do not miss the motichoor ke laddu - they are heavenly - i somehow always manage to come out with a kilo when i go for  a bite. :P.  Dont forget to have the paneer samosa with chana.
Munishbakshi
Navratras thali too too bad.......service very very poor .........taste worst in the history of mankind. Never expected this from sindhi's though I am regular visitor. Please please do not try navratras thali here.
Pathania
Decent budget place for good ol Chana Bhatura , food is tasty and economical , place is clean , the basement could do with better ventilation though . Have been coming to this place since more than 17 years for sure ( before that I cannot re collect !) for Chana Bhatura and lassi and still keep coming back . Staff is very very courteous and helpful , some of the staff is more than 15 years old here , speaks good about the people who run the place . If they are taking care of their staff they definitely would be taking care of folks who come to spend money . Go for it !
Sahil Mehta
Yo Baashi ;) <br/>i have been going to this place since AGES . Over the years the quality has been same rather better . The Food still tastes the same . <br/>I remember munching on to some Noodles which we used frequently get from this Sindhi Sweets in 8 . <br/>Of course their Quick bites are a must have ,

Quality: 2<br/>Service: 2<br/>Quantity: 3.5<br/>Pricing: 3<br/>Hygiene: 2.5<br/><br/>Hygiene and service are a little Issue here. The staff are least interested in serving, let alone customer satisfaction. I've had complains of stale food/food poisoning couple of times. Ambience is average.<br/><br/>It offers a wide variety in all the sections- sweets, Indian snacks, etc. I was a regular customer but then I switched owing to degrade in quality and service.
Harsh Dhiman
Ambience : 3/5<br/>Quality 5/5 Variety : 4/5 <br/>Worth a visit esp for falooda lovers . Welcome to PARADISE. Though the serving time is quite more but overall thumps up
Prabhjot Cheema
Not much to be talk about as this is a halvi joint (samosa/tikki/chat papri).. the quality of food is good i must say best in comparision to others...but on the same you have to pay more...rest staff is good...seating a bit conjusted during peak times....but a good place... a family place to be...
Vikram Cheema
This place is just okay ........ U can go there once if u want to try some Indian street food but thier are lot more places which serve better street food at lesser rates ...... Over all it's okay to visit it once <br/><br/>Ambience:-2.5/5<br/>Quality :-2.5/5<br/>Quantity :-2.5/5<br/>Value for money:-2.5/5<br/>
Geet Kalsy
To my disappointment, this chain is losing on its standards and quality. It comes across as a very famous and exquisite Indian fast food chain but it is stooping low with respect to what they have to serve. The dosas are bland, sambhar is curry like yet weird in taste. The chaat though is reliable here. Bhaturas are occasionally fine. Give it a miss if you have other options around.
Harish Vasdev
I think this is best family restaurant in the chandigarh. Best thing of the restaurant is that it provides fast food in the navaratra season ?
Gaurav Sahni
Been there many times...perfect for a family outing. Must try its Cheez naan with gravy and bharve Gol gappe. Reasonably priced menu. Good old restaurant to be in...
Tarun Girdhar
Sindhi Sweets, especially the Sector-8 branch has been my food companion since college days, as it was the nearest good economical eating joint to our college. I can recall so many get-together and small parties in the basement of this branch, nostalgia struck, I certainly have fond memories attached with this place. <br/><br/>I revisited this place yesterday, when two of my friends had a craving for Ras Malai and there could be no better place but Sindhi Sweets, to satisfy their sweet taste buds.  The place needs no introduction and is rated right at the top for their sweets, which are awesome and they have undisputedly maintained the reputation of being the best in the city.. They should therefore be somewhere held guilty for obesity of Chandigarhians :P :P <br/><br/>Coming to their food - I didn't want to say this, but the food quality has taken a small hit in terms of service, quality and taste, though place still continues to be a one point destination for Channa Bhaturas, Pav Bhaji, Dhokla's, their famous Raj Kachori, Masala Dosa, Amritsari Kulcha, Kesar Ras Malai and Kulfi Faluda..I can't see a major competition or substitute for Sindhi in these areas.. :) :)<br/><br/>Do visit the place. You will not be disappointed..
Parinitha Kaza
It's always a little too crowded for my liking. Service is a little slow. Channa bhaturas are excellent. Even the masala dosa and rava dosa arw surprisingly good. The chutneys are definitely worth a special mention. Most chats taste authentic. Enjoyed their dahi bhalla. Golgappas are not great. Do try their pav bhaji. The Chinese dishes are oily, and taste more Indian than Chinese. Roti and subzi is usually nice, paneer subzis are delicious. Cakes, sandwiches/burgers and Samosas are fairly good, but other places have better ones. Sindhi sweets is one of those places which has fairly Decent food. Some really tasty, and the rest average. Haven't really eaten a dish that I disliked so far.
Anu Moudgil
Sindhi's boondi laddus is like one of the legacies of Chandigarh, and a must try. For anybody who stays in Chandigarh, has surely visited, one of their outlets either for sweets, snacks or meals. This place is not for fine dining, so set your expectation clear, before you visit. But the food served is really good. If you want to have a nice chaat, paani puri or dahi gol gappa this surely is a place to visit. The south indian food is also good and I really like their coconut chutney. Being a regular, and having visited this place for over 6-7 years, with family and friends, I can say that the quantity of food , they serve has decreased with time.  Over years, have tried almost everything their menu offers and the food is really good, and must try, if you visit Chd. If you have a sweet tooth, do indulge in their mat vaali kulfi , ras malai and u r spoilt for choice with their range of Indian sweets.
Atin
One of the oldest sweet shop..... Serves one of the best chole bhature and alu tikki...... Also the motichoor ladoos <br/>
Kaustubh.chandra
So I went to this Sindhi Sweets outlet to buy Gulab Jamun for a dinner party. Turns out I got more than I paid for, an extra fly. And when I called to complain, the manager asked me to send him a picture as proof!! Here is your proof! Please observe your good carefully before you eat it in this place.
Hardik Bhatia
Went here a couple of times and had the signature channa bhatura. Full marks for the taste and thats it everything thing else was a let down. Ordered a sweet lassi and it was sour.<br/><br/>Ambiance was pathetic. Staff was filthy and was starring all the time.<br/><br/>Seating was also not up to the mark.
Vasundhara_Thakur
A cozy little eat out..all time favorite providing you with all type of basic food and that too in a family like manner. One can have any course of meal here at any time of day. Offers great variety of irresistible Indian cuisines along with wide range of sweeteners..! Quick service and stomach filling short meals.

Sweets are good. Snacks are OK nothing great as such. Ambience is nice. Overall sweets are worth it.

One of the legacies of Chandigarh, Sindhi Sweets, is a good place to try out if you are looking for good Indian options with the thought that you don't want to burn a hole in your pocket. <br/><br/>One of the places I can remember has always been in Chandigarh, serves tasty Indian options. I wnet with a friend of mine and we tried Raj Kachori and Butter Masala Dosa. They were served in 10 minutes or so. Tasted decent. <br/><br/>Good to try option once in a while, located in heart of the city. Courteous staff and not too expensive. :)

Use to be much better earlier, it hadn't evolved with times to that extent

The ambience was nice. This restaurant is centrally air-conditioned with seating capacity in the basement which can afford around 100 people. We ordered Chhola Bhatura, a Cheese Naan with gravy and and Malai Kofta with some Butter Naans. The thing which completely captured my mind was the gravy which was served with Cheese Naans. The same gravy had creamy koftas floating in it for it to be Malai Kofta. The texture was perfect. It had adequate amount of spices and had a sweet after-taste. The Chhola Bhatura were of exquisite quality too, the Chholas were not much spicy and not much bland but had a bit too much oil on them. The only flaw was the Butter Naans being served which seemed a but undercooked. The service would get a total of 7 out of 10. If you want to have a decent family outing which serves Chinese, thalis, South Indian, Cakes, Pastries, and Sweet dishes, this is the perfect place for you. Worth money!

Only one word : DISGUSTING <br/>:(<br/><br/>My first and now the last visit to this restaurant was a disaster. <br/><br/>Yesterday, my sister was craving for Indian snacks and we found Sindhi sweets nearby so rushed to this place to checkout their well known bhatooras.<br/><br/>Entered with high expectations but as i went to the underground area where sitting arrangement is done , half of my expectations were ruined. :(<br/><br/>Floor was messy and poacha was going on :/ , while people were having their meals.<br/><br/>After ignoring that , we both sat and ordered channa bhatoora and kachori .<br/><br/> <br/><br/>After quick 5 mins our order came .<br/><br/>Channa Bhatoora : <br/><br/>Aloo sabji , Channe(white), two bhatooras , onion with picket . It came in a steel plate with the worst condition :/<br/><br/>aloo sabji and channe were like together mixed . :( onions which were placed as a salad seemed like pathetic. They must have cut it a day before serving. <br/><br/>Kachoori : for this , a small steel plate was used which was not cleaned up properly. Two kachooris with ketchup all around it . <br/><br/> <br/><br/>I called a server and told him to just have a look at the plates . I really didn't have to use words . He told me to wait for a second and came after good 10 mins :/<br/><br/> <br/><br/>when he came back , i just asked him for the bill which he bought without even caring that we didn't had a single bite . They don't even care to apologize<br/><br/> <br/><br/>Food + service: 0/5 <br/><br/> <br/><br/>Totally Disappointed !! :(<br/><br/><br/>Visit at your own risk.

(Refer to Pictures first)<br/>(This Review was Long Pending and already compiled in MS Word, but got skipped somehow. You will know how old it is as you'll proceed , Thanks)<br/>I was with my Dad and he wanted Sindhi Sweets for Dinner and yours truly is Dad’s yours obedient son. <br/>My Earlier Review 5 star rating was from my dad only and this time it’s me. <br/><br/>To start off, the sweets shop was Diwali Customised. A quick traversing revealed that A Dry Fruit tray starts from Rs.350 for ???grams to whatever you wish. But who can dare to stop our Dinner time hunger. Hurriedly, we stepped down for basement and grab out seats. Within moments, a guy gave three glass of water to two of us. Absurd? <br/><br/>Nothing unusual for us in menu, we ordered Amritsari Kulcha and Executive Thali, The latter to be served after 5-7 minutes.<br/> Amritsari Kulcha, we were given two Kulchas, Channa, Chutney and onions.<br/>The Channas were Simple, They might look tempting however they had very mild spices. Nothing exciting , sober to your taste buds and silently filling your stomach.<br/>The Kulcha carried its origin totally from Maida, hence acceptably soft. Stuffed sufficiently and no spices, it was pretty much plain as both weren't complimentary in taste. <br/> The Chutney was adding taste like what a pickle does with daal albeit without X factor.<br/>The Thali wasn’t impressive, probably targeted mostly for lunch, the food wasn't served Hot. We did not complain. However we did ask waiter to bring Tandoori Rottis after we are over and the first ones. <br/>To which he promptly replied of replacing them with hot chapattis once you are done with first ones. <br/>He justified his words after a while; silently he took back cold lying chapattis and left Fresh Hot crispy ones.<br/><br/>Also, Now we realised that third glass of water simply reduced waiter's work of refilling water.<br/><br/>Sweet Dish, A Hot Gulab Jamun in lukewarm sugar syrup gleaming all the way to the glory. Tasted Best. A Sindhi Stuff.<br/><br/>Overall, nothing extraordinary in food, though service was good and prompt. The Good part was Bill, just few Hundreds lighter.<br/><br/>Verdict: Bland Food, Low on Cost , Rich sweets.<br/><br/>Disclaimer: I am no way associated with them. The above comments are highly subjective of one's opinion.<br/><br/><br/>----- 13 Oct, 2013 -----<br/><br/>My Dad loves this place, looks for an opportunity to dine in every time. A local friend(s) meet, and they all end up here.<br/>Food Tastes Good, Particularly Snacks, Choley Bhature, Pav Bhaji, Bhalla , Chaat, etc. <br/><br/>No complaints of stale food till now.<br/><br/>Service is prompt, ambiance is good, Hygiene too is well cared.<br/><br/>He Recommends this place for quick servings and evening hunger.<br/><br/>Disclaimer: I am no way associated with them. Not bad. We ordered badam milk. It wasnt impressive, so returned it. Then had chana bhatura which was okay. The best thing was Baalushai. Also, the pasteries are not amazing but okayish. <br/><br/>Quality is average, pricing- cheaper than other eateries out there, ambience- just ok, service- needs improvement, taste- average and variety- good.

Lazy Sunday ? Hop in for some cholla bhaturas

If you happen to cross sector 8 Madhya Marg over a weekend, you would be a witness to a huge rush of people standing outside Sindhi Sweets, which is otherwise situated in a diversified commercial hub which normally gets deserted at night . Though being an all vegetarian fast food joint, this place has its own aura. I think that I must have had tried all the items on their menu!<br/>Their classic Channa Bhatura is still a hit and the best part is that it still looks and tastes the same as it used be a decade earlier. Their tokri chaat is a must try and is similar to what Raj kachori is. I love their cheese naan with their boiling gravy and is one of my favourites. Their thali which has a mix of 3-4 types of dal/vegetables along with dessert is sufficient for two people. It is a reasonably priced restaurant and high on quality and taste. <br/><br/>HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!<br/><br/>Negatives: because of the noise, you should consider carrying ear plugs! :)

Whin I think of this place the first thing that comes to my mind is chole bhature which is their speciality. A good place to get something cheap and good.

I visit Gopal's quite frequently and there's not a single thing which I haven't eaten from their menu. But somehow today, I wanted to try Sindhi or call it destiny.. as the parking was full and there was no room in the next block too. Anyway.. I asked for Channa bhatura, Samasa, Vada, Moong Dal Pinni (sweet), Masala cashwenuts (Snack pack)<br/><br/>Now let me tell you how did all this go..<br/><br/>The man who was sitting at the billing counter was too arrogant and the tone sounded like as if he's giving away all this for free. Lol I didn't mind though, guess he was having a bad day.<br/><br/>The space: It didn't look too spacious to me. And anyway.. I don't really dine in sweet shops so your call on this. I noticed merely three tables there.<br/><br/>Food: Chana bhatura, too damn oily.. cholas had lots of salt and side aloo dish was not cooked properly =(<br/>Vada tasted nice with home made sambhar but when I took a bite without any sauce, it tasted metallic. Not sure what they used while making it.. I don't know the texture of vada was a little different! The cashews were also too damn salty.. I feel I wasted 350 bucks on THIS pack as I won't be able to eat these!<br/><br/>Samosas were decent.<br/><br/>Final verdict - I wouldn't recommend this place. As disappointing as this might sound but I certainly wouldn't go to sindhi sweets again.

A hype for a not so hippie place! Late night, on road, my mithu mithasiya with me on a mission to gulp down 'cold Indian sweets' as he says! In a gehri mood, our greedy eyes fall upon this mishthaan.<br/><br/>The staff? Extremely hospitable!<br/>Seating? Ok Ok, perfect for our over healthy messy motive.<br/>Prices? Very pocket friendly!<br/><br/>We settled for the three Big Daddys - RRR<br/>Rasgulla, Rasmalai, Rajbhog!<br/>Oh No No! Nothing appealed to us quite much.<br/>Gawd! They lost out on quite a hefty business from us!<br/>Green patti would have kept flowing!<br/><br/>My Tip: Only for the emergency pangs of the little sweet devil inside, nothing special!

This is a place where you can enjoy all cuisines and take the delight of a restaurant as well as a cake shop and yet at the same time of a sweet shop!<br/><br/>Not just a small scale restaurant, with its new renovated look, Sindhi's is even more acceptable!<br/>I personally like to visit Sindhi's more often because the staff is so hospitable that you almost feel like you are eating at their home and they are your host!<br/><br/>Although the food and multi-cuisine snacks are little bland in taste, the sweets and bakery items will compensate for the shortcomings!<br/><br/>Simply love their eggless cakes and pastries, no comparison to the eggless range in Chandigarh at least. Though it is second to the Shimla's eggless cake shop (cake lovers would know its delight)!<br/><br/>The ambiance is quite warm and its a good place to go with families on any ordinary day as the prices are quite reasonable!
