A nice and quiet place to have a catchup or just grab a bite. The staff is really courteous and attentive. Service and food is reasonably good. A cozy setup to make you comfortable. Liked the music as well being played. Menu variety is decent too. Keep it up team! Cheers!

Pesto Rubbed Grilled Chicken in Red Wine Sauce (Pic 1) & Pork Belly in Sweet Chilli Sauce (Pic 2) @scolachd I've loved Scola food for years. They've been doing food as close to authentic or perhaps as far away from Indianising it, as is possible. Interestingly, I learned from @pahwapavit that they started as an Indian restaurant!! A few months in, they decided to alter it to a Mediterranean one. Unbelievable that he could drop that original idea, turn it on its head and give us Gusto & finally Scola as we know it today. It just surprises me that from 'Tadkas & Masalas' they've come to 'Delicate Flavours'. These are the flavors that most people love Scola for! Fresh, good quality food and there are some really good dishes one shouldn't miss here. The Chicken was what I got, coated with a generous pesto rub and perfectly grilled it was juicy and like I say, didn't need a knife to be cut through. The charred peppers brought in the smoky sweet flavors and that red wine sauce which possibly had Balsamic added the perfect amount of acidity to cut through all other flavors. I don't think there's any red chili in this dish or perhaps very little, and I'm glad about that! The Pork Belly was my recommendation to @guneet__josan who was looking to get a Salad because his trainer had put him on a healthy diet! (Can't believe he fell for it) But the idea was to feed him something delicious and he could only thank me for replacing his Salad with the Pork Belly!! I did taste it, couldn't resist knowing it's one of the best in town. The Sweet Chilli Sauce has just the right amount of heat & lemongrass that cuts through all the fat of the crispy Pork Belly. That sauce is just amazing, it's addictive! One of the better meals I've had lately. I've always recommended certain dishes at Scola and precisely for the way they do their food. It's not what you'd get at most other places which kinda 'spike' their food with tangy somewhat spicy stuff making it acceptable to our Indian Palate. However, the best part of the meal was @guneet__josan thanking me & smiling after devouring the Pork Belly!!

Never give a 5 star, but having come here 4 times in the last couple of months , the food is always the same, very good. Very consistent. Hope they will remain this way.

I have been to Scola twice and it's been a delectable experience both the times. Nestled in amongst the many other culinary restaurants is this quaint haunt which could very quickly become an intimate favourite of yours especially when you bite into the delicious cuisine that it has to offer, it's a fine gastronomical experience for which you will return for sure. I have had Spanakopitas, Aranchini Balls, chicken wings, mushroom and roasted garlic pizza, Farmhouse pizza, pasta Aglio olio along with cafe latte and watermelon mint and pomergranate ginger in beverages. The food was scrumptious and there is a mix of Italian and Mediterranean which is easy on the palate though not necessarily on the pocket 😉 Though I would recommend this place for sure for a great evening meal out. It's on my revisit list for sure.

Scola- yet small and lively cafe in Sector 7 Chandigarh is one of the rarest cafe's you'll get where you can experience such dishes which are just unimaginable 🤓. . Being a Vegetarian i was just out of mind🙄that how can such vegan items in different Cuisines like Mediterranean, Spanish, Greek, Turkish can be prepared and that too so yum😋 . . This cafe literally won my heart♥️with it's exotic presentation and mouth watering food. . Though there were many dishes which i tried there like Jacket Potatoes, Falafel Shawarma, Baked Mushroom Queche, Soyagnise Pasta, Glutten Free Pizza, Caramel Toffee Pudding but i personally liked Falafel Shawarma, Soyagnise Pasta and Pizza very much. Scola Cafe is absolutely a must try👍 . For more updates Keep following ⏩ @taste_strikers on Instagram

A small, peaceful place in the midst of hustle bustle of sector 7. This decent place has a special vibe to it. I liked the ambience and how polite the staff was. They have good items on the menu and I loved how creative all the menu cards were. The food is good and their coffee and deserts are great. However my choco lava mud cake took a while to be served but it was worth the wait as I found out that they baked it fresh. Good place to hang out with friends, family or colleagues but the sitting area however, is limited.

Cute ambiance with different cuisines. They have cuisines like Mediterranean, Spanish, Greek etc. and recently they introduced their winter menu from which i tried Jacket Potatoes, Falafel Shawarma, Baked Mushroom Queche, Soyagnise Pasta, Gluten Free Pizza, Veg Lasagna, Curry De Vegetariano, Date and Walnut Toffee Pudding, Flourless Chocolate Decadent Cake, Chocolate Brownie with Icecream, in beverages i had Virgin Peach Belini, Snickers Shake, Kalakhata, Warm Apple Cider... all these dishes and beverages were yum but the dishes i liked much was their Pizza, cake, virgin peach belini, snickers shake, kalakhata and jacket potatoes.

Scola is a lively cafe serving experimental Spanish, Greek, Moroccan, Turkish and Italian Food along with Beer & Wine. About The Place - Scola is situated in the innner market of Sector 7 Chandigarh serving some really amazing food. The place is beautiful built with amazing interior decoration and wooden furniture. I really loved the accessories used for decoration. The special thing about this place is the Owner of the place who understand very well what a customer need and make sure that every customer who visit Scola is satisfied. He is trying his best to serve the best. Staff is also very friendly 💕 About the food - Well the food I tried was really amazing made with pure love . So I started with Cherry Cola drink and it was very much refreshing. I really loved the flavors. After that I tried there farm house gluten free pizza and skinny pizza and believe me it was 🔥. The crispy thin base and flavors were amazing 💯💯. Well in case if u don't like spinach I would recommend u to try there cottage cheese stake - I am sure u will fall in love with this dish. It's a combination of spinach in cottage cheese bun served with mashed potatoes 💯 I even tried their virgin mojito and it was very refreshing with strong flavors of mint . How can I forget the Spanakopitas (Spinach, Raisins and Almond filled rolls) - Highly Recommend Dish 😋 Overall a great place to spend some quality time with delicious food. Very calm and peaceful time over here. It's not very crowdy or trendy. It's a decent place to discuss things with any age group. Pizzas have a very thin crust and yummy. Coffee is fine too.

Pesto and Pickled Mushroom Risotto @gustokaffe07 . . It was ages that I had relished this Italian rice dish. I am somebody who would go for Risotto over pasta anyday. Condition, the dish should be Al dente and creamy enough to satiate my quench. . . This one is perfectly cooked into vegetable broth with pesto sauce in it. A little more creaminess would have done no harm to it. .PS- Yes, the garlic bread was that yellowish, buttery. *Bruh* We also ordered watermelon and feta cheese salad. The salad was yum though the sad part was I don't expect rocket leaves to be so matured They were highly pungent and dint suit the salad combination at all. A little raw ones would have gelled well. Ambience here is cool, staff is quite and welcoming.a good experience in an all.

Italian cafe with a cosy interior. Food is heavenly. Non-veg items are amazingly tasty with right crunch n juice.
Sarvesh ..
Nice interiors and kick-ass food. Mushrooms omelette was the unique part, not just in name but the preparation and taste as well. Their hot chocolate is famous and for a reason.

Amazing food, and the ambience. Albeit a bit expensive. But if we accept the adage that all great things will cost a little extra, this was a great experience

Literally one of the best catering and cafe in Chandigarh.Their Oriental dishes are awesome. Try once😉

So this is a cafe we've been going to for years. Since it was well known as Gusto. And we primarily went for the Churros and Hot Chocolate. They were the only place in town for years who served Churros which by the way are very nice. Coming to the hot chocolate - hands down, the best in town. Everywhere else it's tried it feels like bournvita and milk. It is a premium cafe so the prices are expected to be a bit high. The savoury menu is also very good. Kebabs, pasta, lasagna, pork belly - all good. Depending on your budgets - a must try. And for the hot chocolate, especially in winter, don't think about it twice - go now!!!

Well to start with the ambience is pleasing and the music is nice. Wine braised lamb shank was a superhit. Awesome taste , perfectly cooked and delicious to the last bite. Mushroom conchiglioni pasta was qite average and not worth the money atall. Last the signature Margherita pizza could have tasted a lot better i believe...but it didn't. Was too bland for me. All in all a good one. Will go back for the lamb shanks once more.

Scola is serving some amazing food and the best part is everything is prepared in a well sanitized kitchen with all staff being properly monitored and tested.
They serve some amazing pastas and desserts. The quality of food justifies the prices.
I really appreciate there good packaging and measures to keep the food safe.
The ambience is really good and adds up to the experience

Desserts are highly recommended
I recommend this place.

Scola is a medium size cafe situated in the inner market of sector 7. Place is decently decorated with comfortable sitting. I visited this place on a weekday afternoon and the place was empty which filled me with doubt if I'll be served good food. I ordered an Americano first and choose to go for "Orange and grilled chicken salad" and "cottage cheese spinach and mushroom steak".
Coffee was highly diluted and a good refreshing aroma was missing. The server asked about the coffee and after knowing my dissatisfaction, he was humble enough to provide a replacement. Though this 2nd coffee also lacked the quality but I thanked him for the effort and moved on to main course. Salad was good, greens and chicken were fresh. The orange dressing was on little sweeter side but I liked the different taste of this salad. However, quantity seemed little less for a 410/- salad. Steak was also good tastewise and it was served with mashed potatoes topped with broccoli and bell peppers. But I really felt that rice and sauteed veggies would have been a better option to be served with cottage cheese steak.
For dessert I opted to go for banana panacotta, and really regret to go for this. I was served with 4 small pieces of banana and a panacotta which really doesn't seem right.
Overall it's a decent place with good service and good tasting food. Though quantity of the food is a concern. I might have been unlucky in choosing the dessert, so I'll go again to see how their other desserts are.

My visit to this newly opened place scola was no less then amazing. From starters to main course, everything was perfect.
I tried jacket potatoes and lamb tarts in startes, both were really great and tasted so good. Then i went on to try the chef’s special Falafel shawarma and the name explains it all. In the main course i had the soyagnise pasta and as confusing the name sounds, as tasty was the dish. My experience of this place was not less then amazing.

Ordered home delivery and was shocked at the quality of food - sausages in bacon were cheap frozen ones with low quality bacon that was not cooked properly.

The Hummus was flavorless without any texture and felt like it was cauliflower paste, the meat was horrible ....I'm shocked that this place is rated 4.2 on the App - it's the worst food I've ever ordered in Chandigarh.

This cute little cafe will serve you the best food !!

Been here a couple of times and never been disappointed. One of the earlier restaurants to open in the inner market of Sector 7, Chandigarh, Scola (earlier known as Gusto) , Styled like cafe or bistro, Scola sits easy on the eyes. Minimalistic interior n lighting, You will find some the shelves lined with books and board games stacked in another. The casual cafe vibe is hard to miss. The menu, on the other hand, tries hard to pack in a good mix of Continental and some Asian fare. A seasonal menu is always on offer. Interesting n tasty variety of different types of food. We tried, mocktails cocktails, shakes, beer, starters in veg n nonveg. Overall a nice cafe to chill n chitchat no loud music so let's talk over food.
So finally I was here. The place is nice, cozy and calm. Good for a date. The food was nice. But I found the things over priced when it comes to the taste. Rest it is a decent place. We also had all in one pizza it was full of different flavors.

AMBIENCE IS GREAT.FOOD QUALITY IS SUPERB BUT THE THING IS THEIR FOOD QUANTITY IS NOT TOO MUCH AND ALSO THE TASTE IS OK OK. BUT GREAT PLACE FOR MEETINGS..
Ishnashahi90
I ordered the Pasta aglio olio. It was the worst food item I’ve ever had in my life. It was stale, cold and badly prepared. It was so overpowered by garlic that I had a foul taste and breath for so long. It wasn’t burnt garlic but was a chopped garlic dish with a side of pasta it seemed. I would never go back.
Vikram Rana
Wow.! That's itself evrything for this place...

Ordered spiced potatoes bravas amazing..!!
Chandigarh needs more places like these i think being from delhi it was hard for me to find me such places and woah i found one !!!

This is my first ever review on zomato and thought of beginning with my fav place in chandigarh, Scola.
Been here many times now and Scola never disappoints me . Food service staff ambience everything is just perfect for me. Just the right place for me to enjoy my meal with my family and friends. Thank you Scola for giving this kind of Hospitality to Chandigarh . Many known names and places need to learn from them .
Honey Goyal
Healthy and tasty Scola would be an option to visit, the taste that acquire all the basic and major indigredents which pushes the level of food quality on higher side
Orderd :-
Mushroom and roasted Garlic pizza,Aglio Olio Pasta And a ginger mojito
all the three were upto the mark with natural tastes
Meenal Garg
I loved the ambience and the service. The food is a little overpriced considering the portion size. I loved duet of bruschetta and winter berry mix smoothie. Mezza platter was also wonderful. I would categorise warm apple cider as different meaning thereby that only some people might like it. Last but not the least Kala khatta and cherry cola was decent.
All in all if you do not have budget constraints, you can really try this place.

Mai yaha pe zomato ke sath order nahi kiya tha but shop pe jake maine serve kiya tha burger
Really iska burger kafi acha aur taste bhi tha indoor kafi neat and clean bhi tha

Best food. Love the risotto and humus . I recommend that you should have your food here . Staff is polite and again Awesome. Try peach ice tea

Worst food ever. These guys give good crafted food when one dines in but when it comes to delivery they provide sandwiches with some expired cheap quality sauce in the name of pesto and bad smelling bread. Avoid online ordering.
Prince K S
About Elite style; My mode of order was delivery. If you are planning to order online avoid it. Its best you go to the place and have your food. My drink reached in perfect piece without any leakage. But I hope that they have double checked it. I found some black soot/charred pieces within the Hot water sent to me. I was disappointed as I had to do all the work all over again.
Shivalika Singh Patial
It is one of my favourites, if you have a thing for Italian and European cuisine than you can trust scola anytime and anyday. I loved their mezze platter and pasta.
Dr. Anubha Dev
It's a very cute and laid back cafe. Food was amazing and portion size was very good. Everything on the menu looked so good. Wanted to order the desserts so badly but was too full after the main course. And they have these games and books to keep you engrossed while the food is being prepared. A must visit!!

If you want to visit a Place with Great ambience and Good Food this is the Place. So last week I was at this place to try their Special Winter menu. I tried their Lamb Stew with Cous Cous . Had their mezze platter and churros ! Churros were at their classic best ! And suprisingly mezze platter was too good with all their 6 dips ! Must try !

I went to this place today to have lunch and to my surprise the food there was amazing. I loved each and everything I ordered there. I would recommend this place to everybody and one should try their hot chocolate in winters.
Neetu B
I earlier loved this place (when it was calles Gusto) for its clean flavours and good food. But now the quality has gone down and food has become tasteless. Chicken roulade was terrible and spanakopita dip was very sour. The dip used to be flavoursome earlier. It was so sour and vinegary that it ruined the taste.
Supriya Sharma
Quaint little cafe for a peaceful time, me and a friend went for coffee, ordered bruschetta as well, liked thr preparation. Overall a good experience.

I went with high expectations to this place but there was one table full of ladies, they just went in their service and forgot rest of us. I had to halve my order and come out of the place!..

One thing I liked the most is the food garnishing that is done at this place. The food was healthy also. Ambience of the place was also good. Keep it up !!!

Scola is like a hidden gem in Chandigarh. I went to this place for brunch with a couple of my friends when we were in Chandigarh for four days.
We discovered this place on suggestion of a local friend and it turned out to be a valued one.
The place is a pretty comfortable place with limitrf tables. The interiors are very well done and they have quite smart staff.
So we had beers to start with. They give just 4 options though.
Within food we had Fritata, which is a pan omlette made up of broccoli, asparagus and bell peppers. This is certainly one of the finest omelettes that I have ever had. We also had Great Lamb Pizza, which is a thin crust rectangular shaped pizza with loads of Lamb. This is again one of the best mutton pizzas I have ever had. Last but not the least, we had the Chicken Roulade with mashed potatoes. It was out of the world thing to have.
Overall a great cafe to have Mediterranean food. They have a limited menu but a fine one. I would surely be back to this place whenever I visit Chandigarh.

After reading the reviews and seeing the ratings, this place disappointed. For one, the food was not up to the mark and secondly, 2+2 on drinks means on every drink, not just alcohol. Tables too are a little low for a wheelchair user.

I went to scola only to try their hot chocolate. 😁

This thick yummy hot chocolate made with swiss chocolates is love. You also have an option to add rum in your hot chocolate for cold/rainy days. 😊😊

Also, tried their warm apple pie. That i would say was average in taste.

But for hot chocolate i will visit this place again n again. 🙂

Else, cafe is well maintained with beautiful decor inside n also from outside as well.

Good luck👍

Edit : 8,sep 19

I loved the quality of the food here.
Tried chicken roulade, pizza skinny which is kinda for health freaks. It doesn't have cheese on it. Still tastes amazing.

Eggs Benedict, cottage cheese steak.
Their cappuccino, churros and banana panna Cotta, is also a must try. 👌👌

I’ve been visiting this place since it was called Gusto. I’d relish their lamb in balsamic reduction back then with drums of heaven with the oh so good Kala khatta.
The place has changed name and menu but that passion in their food remains the high point.
Tried the lambkopitas, orange and grilled chicken salad and interpretation of the butter chicken. Loved all three. Great going guys!

After enough pestering by my sister who was all praises for the Interpretation of Butter Chicken at Scola I had to go try it myself. A Westernized steak like appearance on a bed of spiced potatoes had been given to our favourite ever evolving Indian Dish served curry and rotis and because my friend accompanying me was a vegetarian, I had to finish all that by myself which was meant to be for two people, even though I don't regret it one bit .

My vegetarian friend ordered a Cottage Cheese Steak, served with bell peppers, mashed potatoes and rosa sauce; a bite of that did melt in mouth.

Also, Don't forget to try the Churros , you'll love themmmm. Cinnamon Churros Cigars served with spiced chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream; writing about which is making my mouth water. Sigh! Until next time Scola.

Spanakopitas - One of the Best starters here ,they were spinach and almond filled rolls served with in house sauce . Absolutely loved them .

Duet of bruschetta - The base was perfect and it was topped with mushrooms ,feta cheese, oilves qnd parsley .
Humus beh lamb - Again something i would back for , it was scrumptious. The lamb was cooked perfectly and the flavour was excellent .The pita bread was soft ( as it is supposed to be) and overall the dish was a winner
Pizza hells bells- This pizza loaded veggies ,it has pickled onions ,bell pepper, smoked tomatoes etc and was not in a triangle shape like basic pizzas. Tasted different but good
Pizza skinny - As the name says . This pizza was without cheese and has coco sauce ,chicken and broccoli .Highly recommended for people who are healthy conscious
One of the best desserts here has to be Tiramisu. They make it in the in house bakery and trust me ,it was really nice . Melt in mouth and you would want to the eat again and again.
Overall the place is definitely worth a visit .

This is my second visit to the restaurant formerly known as “Gusto” and known now as “Scola - A Mediterranean School of Thought”. My last visit in its former avatar didn’t go as expected and I chose never to return. So, when finally I did return to the brand new format, I was a bit sceptical.

Thankfully and to my delight, I was terribly wrong in my impression. A fine lunch is what we were after and Scola provided us with one and exceeded all expectations by a grand margin.

We were a large group and the place offers an excellent and minimalist ambience where the focus is on food and service. That is a relief from restaurants high on style and low on food quotient. The owner comes from an illustrious business family and, it is evident that he has devoted his heart and soul to this petite goldmine of Mediterranean delights.

We started our meal with Spanakopitas served with Saffron Aioli. I love the idea of spanakopitas. They’re easy to grab and munch on and these ones were just orgasmically delightful. The subtle bias towards sweet owing to the use of raisins did the trick and the saffron aioli with its sourish tinge resulted in flavours that hit the right notes in the brain. Also served in the aioli base were fresh radish micro-greens, grown organically by the restaurant. Micro-greens are shoots and they capture the first essence of the vegetable. The addition of these micro-greens to dishes at Scola illustrates and enforces the health benefits of a Mediterranean meal.

We also learnt that ingredients are sourced in small quantities and of the highest quality and never in bulk from wholesalers. That is a risky and yet consumer oriented decision which is commendable.

Next, in line we had the Duet of Bruschetta with black olives, feta cheese and creamy mushroom with a parsley dressing. The creamy mushroom was just amazing and though the bruschetta were pretty small, they’re easy to pop and enjoy. A great starter indeed.

The foodgasm continued with yet another winner - Chicken and Olive Skewers that is supposedly served with spicy barbecue sauce, although it was sweet and hence, for me a clear winner. This is yet another dish that has to be eaten slowly and with a smile that will automagically appear once you pop the skewer in.

One of the dishes that has been popular at Gusto and now at Scola has been the Watermelon & Feta salad that features rocket leaves in a lemon vinaigrette dressing and topped with pine nuts and feta cheese. Although a tad bitter for my liking, it is quite a salad indeed and the bitterness of the rocket leaves works when you consider the use of watermelon, which balances out the flavours well.

And now ladies and gents, the starlet of the evening, the showstopper - Hummus Be Lahm. This traditional Middle Eastern dish which originally goes by the name Hummus Bil Lahme contains lamb chunks that are cooked in a dense gravy that is sweet and spicy and served on a bed of hummus. We had this with freshly baked pita bread and it was unputdownable to the last bite. If you’re going to Scola, you must have this in your meal.

Scola also offers freshly baked pizzas that are, thankfully not round, but square. Why didn’t anyone think of this earlier? Square means you can divide it into easy to grab squares and everyone stays happy. The Hells Bells pizza features Coco sauce, Bell peppers, pickled onions, smoked tomato that I can literally feast on by itself and micro greens. This is an amazing vegetarian pizza and even if you’re a non-vegetarian, you must give it a shot.

For those who are diet conscious like the kitty gangs who pride themselves in the figures and looks that take hours of personal training at the gym and long hours at the salon, Scola has Skinny Pizzas which feature no cheese or marinara at all. You have veggies, micro greens and pesto sauce instead. Surprisingly for us all, this was quite amazing as well.

Now, how can a Mediterranean restaurant in the capital of Punjab get away with Butter Chicken? Visit Scola to know how. They’ve reinvented the good ol’Butter Chicken into what they call “Interpretation of Butter Chicken” or simply IOBC. If you’re a Punjabi, you won’t need to say BC after eating this. Chicken breast wrapped like an A la Kiev and filled with butter and mushrooms is set on a bed of zeera aloo with the most amazing makhni gravy drizzled on top. Served with Moroccan style flatbreads and to top it all, smoked with coal in-front of your eyes, this is one interpretation of a classic Punjabi dish that you should definitely try. The chicken is juicy and amazing and the gravy is to die for.

From the pasta menu, we tried the Spinach and Feta Tortellini which I really liked. The handmade tortellini was spectacular and this was served with two huge pieces of garlic bread.

But a good meal ends with a good dessert. Luckily for us, we had the most exquisite homemade tiramisu that was creamy and luscious to the last bite. They also have this incredible incredible Hot Chocolate which consists of molten Swiss chocolate with Dark Rum. Imagine that.

Overall, Scola won me over. I went as a sceptic and came out as a believer. More power to them and I’ll be back soon.

The food is beautiful! Fusion taste, lovely plating and great options! Right now, the best among the lot in Chandigarh since Rumour Mill shut down! Worth every single visit and for every type of hunger!

Try the chef's speciality dishes. Delicious. Just plain delicious.
The prices are slightly towards the higher side when compared to the rest of the city's restaurants, but it's totally worth it.

Scola is new address for Mediterranean food in town. Tried Tiramisu coffee and Pancakes to begin with. Loved pancakes served in - Cocunut, Bluberry & Classic flavours served with four dips. Spanakopitas is crisp rolls served as shots, must try for perfectly balanced spinach, almond and raisin filling. Tried half n half pizza which is unique concept to try two pizzas in one go. Basil pesto grilled chicken pizza is amazing. Service & Interiors are ok and one will love to try this new menu. !! Happy exploring the place xoxo

Follow #yummy_the_tummy on Instagram for more

I've heard that this is the best place for food in Chandigarh. My friends tried it's chicken roullate and claim it was amazing. Their artichoke wasn't bad either.

So looking out for some nice cafe in sec 7, we landed up this nice place Scola!
Earlier called Gusto, they’ve recently overhauled their menu and changed to Scola. And their new menu is what I was super excited to check out, since it had a bunch of interesting dishes with gourmet ingredients.
The interiors of Scola are quite pleasing and soothing... Not too fancy, but the vibes are peaceful. As soon as you enter, you’re hit with the poetical atmosphere of this European and Mediterranean restaurant with everything orchestrated to soothe.
Coming to the menu... Wow!!... It has many interesting vegetarian options and we tried some delectable food.

Artichoke and Fetta Tarlets: These were my favourite... The presentation was chic and they tasted yum! 😋 With tender artichoke hearts and fetta cheese filling, topped with mozzarella and parmesan in a flaky shortcrust, these tartlets were just perfect.

Endive Fetta and Garlic Pizza: This was a dry pizza, without any base sauce. The base was fresh and crisp but not one of the best. However, the toppings were really fresh. Creamy and sharp blue cheese, nuttiness of pine nuts, freshness of endive, topped with parmesan. We had added some more vegetables. All in all it tasted good.

Tiramisu Shake: This was the only disappointment... It tasted like any other frappe or cold coffee and lacked on all aspects. The consistency of the shake was too thin, the flavours lacked substance and there was no stress at presentation at all.

Cafe Latte: This was surely nice. With a heart swirled on top, this latte looked inviting. It was perfectly brewed and creamy.

Food: 4/5 leaving out the Tiramisu Shake
Service: 4/5
Ambience: 3.5/5
Price: 4/5

The food lived upto my expectations on all aspects, ignoring the Tiramisu Shake. The presentation was intricate with beautiful garnishes. The portion size was apt. The price range was on the medium to high side but the quality of ingredients justified it. The staff was very inviting, courteous and well informed about menu and suggested us dishes. The ambiance was a perfect blend of cool and warm elements, which combined with food and conversations made a blissful evening.....
With- Sourav Aggarwal

What is asked of a mid 80’s vibe Eurasian cafe more than a subtle silent aura with a dash of spice. The trip was made to check out @the_hedgehog_cafe right when this cafe caught my eye.
Hold on for a joyride! Forced by my undying compulsion for the trying out new spots which now, has turned into a compelling addiction I can’t break.
•
As soon as you enter the cafe shines out in its rather poetic atmosphere and calms your senses down. But that my friend, is the calm before he storm!
A simple Italio-French spin off of eggs #Frittata is something I have been cooking for way too long in way too many versions. Their frittata was a delight! The shish taouk served with creamy hummus and pita were a surprise to the taste buds as they had a drizzle of #REAL balsamic vinegar! A man of culinary treasures would know its a expensive ingredient to incorporate! •
What we loved : Sheesh Taouk
•
When didn’t work : both the coffees looked really jaw dropping good but tasted rather lack-lustre.
•
Total experience 6.5/10
•
•
Bounty points for eye popping decor and books in the cafe from the likes of #gulzar
.
.
.
#SoleyLunaSpa #wellnesscenter #healthysislife #sopa #cena #facil #familia #amor #gustos #Salud #saludable #verde #chandigarhblogger #chandigarhfoodies #chandigarhfoodblogger #lunchwithfriends #sandwichporn #zomatoin #trellingfood #goodfoodindia #dillifoodies #delhifoodblogger #potd #followback #instapost #foodbloggerlife #fdudefam

Gusto has been one of my favourite places to eat around. And now it has a new name Scola !!
But I had one dreadful experience this time. I ordered for Spaghetti, Char Grilled Vegetables and Falafels. First of all it took them 30 minutes to get the food prepared inspite we being the only table who placed the order during that duration of time.
Spaghetti was bland and under cooked just tossed in olive oil. Char Grilled vegetables with Cous Cous were just so average. It was more of tender mushrooms and Bell Peppers cooked in a gravy. Only the saviour was Falafels. Beautifully presented with Pita Bread, Hummus and Beetroot Pickle.
All together the food served was not worth spending money. This place has much more to offer than what was laid for Dinner table yesterday.

SCOLA ,their new venture..
Pathetic Food and worst service ever.
Food came 30 mins after we ordered and it was all bland and tasteless.
Total waste of money.
I wish i could rate them ZERO !!

Nice place to sit and talk. I liked their dining.
When it comes to food, not a good place for those with typical Indian tongue. I ordered pasta, which was bland in taste. Adding oregano salt or chilli flakes didn’t work well.

Gusto is one the best cafes in Chandigarh. The desserts here are to die for.
I went there recently and had Paella Valenciana and Tiramisu shake and berry blast shake this time. The dish has perfectly grilled chicken breast along with juicy and delicious chicken sausages. It is served with a good portion of rice and is more than enough for one hungry person. Loved the dish.
The smoothie however did not live up to my expectations. Tiramisu shake tasted pretty much like any other coffee frappe. The berry blast was supposed to be a mixture of different berries, and although it did taste good, I found the consistency of the smoothie to be very thin.
The place was pretty crowded that day and I guess gusto is not equipped to handle a bigger crowd. However, loved the food and ambience.
Must visit for the desserts. (Churros are a personal favorite)😍

Tasted, Threesome meatsome"The naughty pizza" and Kala khatta.Pizza did not live up to my expectations, the meat wasn't freshly minced as per my knowledge.Kala khatta is a hit hit ! Totally loved the way how it is westernized.I loved the Ambience more, also this cafe has been awarded by Times Food. Keep up the good work! #AnnData #JustDrop-in

This place deserves 5 out of five. Make it customer service or food. Everything is perfect and people are very friendly. My personal favourite is Lamb Ragout Tartlets and for vegetarians it's artichoke and feta cheese tartlets. To be honest everything tastes good. If you still haven't visited this place you're missing out big time. P.S I do not know the owner it's my personal view

Water melon and feta salad

Another beautiful cafe in the quiet vicinity of sector 7 chandigarh, this cafe is a perfect date place or to go out with family and friends .

Beautifully decorated this place has some unusual stiff in their menu.

Ditched the pasta and tried Basi pesto and pickled mushroom risotto.this was my first tume with a risotto and it was a cheesy experience.i really loved it and thank you Oye Chatori | Neetu for ordering this to make me realize that their is more italian food beyond, pasta 😱

The watermelon and feta salad caught our attention but i somehow feel the ingredients weren't very fresh especially the rocket leaves they have used.

I recommend this place and it should be visited 😍
Had our kitty in Gusto last Saturday and I'm glad for selection of this venue..the owner of this restaurant Mr Pawed was supporting enough to customise a wonderful menu for the kitty..all starters specially Bruschetta and Mezze platter were awesome ...in main course Pasta ,Spanish rice and risotto were nice , in desert flourless grape cake was good too..presentation of all dishes was excellent, courteous staff and cosy ambience make Gusto a place worth visiting with family and friends.

Signature Zucchini Tart

This place was not the first choice of me and my friend but we are so glad that we went here...there couldn't have been a better place than this to start our day

Full points to their staff for they were so welcoming and polite. I reached a little early and was sitting there alone but never did they make me feel uncomfortable or gave me those looks which compel you to order something just for the sake if it. Infact this place is a delight for solo eaters as they have a beautiful collection of books which you can read while sipping on your coffee in peace

Coming to the dish, again an unusual choice made since i am not a huge fan of zuccini and had my doubts of how it would turn out but right from the moment it arrived till the last bite, it was an absolute joy. The pie was crusty with the warm mashed zuccini adding the right balance. Served wirh a three bean salsa and carrot puree this was a perfect dish. I just felt that the salt in the pie was a little less but when had together with the salsa and puree it seemed alright.

This place is definitely on top of my recommended places and i am going back for sure to try more stuff.

*Bruh*

We also ordered watermelon and feta cheese salad. The salad was yum though the sad part was I don't expect rocket leaves to be so matured They were highly pungent and dint suit the salad combination at all. A little raw ones would have gelled well.

Ambience here is cool, staff is quite and welcoming.a good experience in an all.

Very authentic! One of the few places that actually serve what the advertise !! The Mutton Pilaf , the pizzas, the pesto rubbed chicken , the humus with lamb , all were the bomb 🎯 & I'm very difficult to please but trust me there better than any other such places in town ! The pizza was comparable to Mario Batali's Pizza Mozzaria & the lamb burger was a solid 8 on a scale of 0 to Gordon Ramsay's "BURGUR" ! Go there you won't regret it ! 👍🏻👌🏻

Great food, friendly staff and great place to get some work done on my laptop. I recommend the eggs Benedictine , churros , pasta and the coffee is excellent

I've had their hummus, patatas, falafel, spanakopitas etc. Not sure if the chef is the same every time as the same items could be a hit or a miss at times. Also, when asking about the vegetarian options, always specify no egg, no meat, no fish, and double check about the dressings and dips as you may have switch or skip a few things. The staff is largely pleasant. Used to visit it quite oft, but with more cafes and restaurants coming up, they'll have to maintain good standard to stay competitive.

Decor is warm, light music and cozy theme, the ambience is nice. Service is good. Now the food, its not very good, not that bad, above average.
We tried, risotto, pasta, pizza, deserts.
Risotto was best. Pizza was too oriental, a bit bland. Pasta had spices but not upto the mark, something was lacking. The specials in desert was good, intense in taste. Cinnamon sticks.

Nice place with some good food and great service. The butter chicken is amazing, and so were the churros. Prices are also quite decent here.

Yesterday was a perfect day to dine in @Gusto and I am glad to have made a right choice on the occasion of my spouse's birthday. The bike at the entrance with greens basket is pretty attractive. I find the interiors subtle and apt, one can fetch the books, read poetry or solve crossword puzzles, like my son n hubby did. Coming to the most pivotal part: the food! We straight away ordered 2 main course dishes:

1. Duet of chicken: I must confess that this dish was super delicious. I loved the stuffing of Greek yogurt in chicken breasts, the flavours, the sweetness of chicken drumstick and creamy spinach. 5/5

2. Spaghetti bolognaise: This dish was flawless.. Never before I tasted something like this.. Loved the perfect balance of spices and overwhelming cinnamon flavor worked wonders for my taste buds. Topped with Parmesan cheese, what more could one ask for! 5/5

I am super glad to have made a visit to such a fine restaurant.. The quality and taste of food is at par with European restaurants. A big thumbs up to the staff! Keep up!!!

They definitely don't know the difference between a milk shake and a smokthie. The
Cous cous looked more like poha. Ingredients mentioned in the menu were missing in pizza when served.

Have been planning to visit Gusto for a while and finally made it today. Ordered Red Wine Braised Lamb Shanks and Duet of chicken. Both the dishes had great presentation and were delectable. Both dishes were well made, perfectly flavored and tasted awesome. The service quality was good too. For someone who is looking for great food in Chandigarh Gusto is a must visit. I am definitely going back again to try more.

ordered Quinoa Salad which had quinoa only sprinkled on. Also ordered Potato Brava where the potatoes were undercooked. I am a regular at this place and have realized over the last few visits the food quality is going down. Hope the owner can figure things out and improve.

Used to be our squad's favorite brunch place. Best is to go in a group, order multiple dishes and rotate those amongst yourself. But, still Lamb Falalels are really great. Oh, also you can have it with their cold-coffee. Relish the rich cocoa taste after every bite.

Trying new cuisines is always dicey, it is like coming out of your comfort zone by giving your taste buds a fresh fluctuation! But when those unaccustomed and unexplored cuisines are presented to you well, that's when you know that your experiments are worth every bite! This sums up my total experience at Gusto!

Gusto was first of its kind of cafe to introduce Mediterranean Cuisine in a small artistically designed cafe with the quality, authenticity and presentation equivalent to some high-end restaurant.

The most commendable feature is that the menu includes a vast variety of options to choose from for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians although availability can be an issue.

Since I was in for something new, I didn't opt for mezze or brava and ordered Spanakopitas and Cheese Tartlets among the starters. The Spanakopita rolls were sweet spinach filled rolls of thin paper dipped in cheese shots! While the Cheese tartlets were oozing with Feta Cheese topped with caramelized onions and grilled artichoke.

Among the main course, we had to stick to the tried and tested menu since most of the dishes in the main course were Italian. Wanted to order stuffed conchiglioni, but had to change the order due to unavailability. We ordered Spinach and Goat Cheese Risotto which was beautifully garnished with goat cheese and spicy peppers. Also, we ordered Pomodori Penne, which was another cheesy delight.

The food is rich in its preparation, presentation and condiments. With a warm serving staff and a vibrant yet soothing ambience, Gusto is a place where you can have a cosy meal with your family or friends!

Awesome will be a very small word to describe this place. A small but stylish cafe with just amazing food. We ordered Lamb Ragout Tartlets for Starters which were nice & different. For main course we ordered Interpretation of Butter Chicken & Chicken Roulade. The presentation & concept of Interpretationof butter chicken was breathtaking & the dish was so..so..so delicious. The sauce & the pita bread they served with it was just so good...Chicken Roulade had a perfect combination of flavours & none were over powering each other. For dessert we had Banana Panacotta which was outstanding. The cook seemed to had proper knowledge of the flavours as just a normal cook is not expected to cook such gourmet. Looking forward to visit again & try other things top

Quaint little place in the inner market of sector 7, gusto is a great place to go with a friend for fusion food. The inferiors are cosy and the place gives a warm vibe. Ordered chicken n olive skewers to start with. Nice combo. Followed it up with a lamb pizza. The thin base had lamb raghu on it with chunks of tender mutton pieces. Never had this combo on a pizza before. The lamb was succulent and the rocket leaves delicately poised on each slice were not only good to look at but provided a great crunch. There signature dish, duet of chicken, is a must try. Chicken is presented in two forms, a drumstick and a breast filled with goodies, accompanied by spinach and polenta mash. Great food, great service, just that the prices are a bit on the higher side for the place. Go with a gusto!!

Visited them only once recently, but oh boy their food stole my heart!
The staff was very well mannered(sometimes difficult to get attention of).
Loved the mushroom filled pasta shells in white sauce and am visiting them again very soon.

Tried mediterranean cusines which left a poor taste.... was completely pathetic. The dishes I ordered were not even authentic mediterranean but definately were over prized. Chef favorite pizza was bland in taste and quantity was not sufficient to cover two people. Not worth a one time visit. I will never recommend this place to anyone.

Today we went there for lunch. We ordered 4 dishes, one non veg soup, two mocktail, and two coke. Bill was above 4000 for four of us. I have extensive experience of visiting various kind of restaurants all over India. I always prefer to taste new restaurants. As per my experience this restaurant is charging too much for nothing. All food were below par. Mocktail was pathetic. Red wine braised lamb shank was just a cheating. You can expect better quantity at less price even in 4/5 star hotel. Interior is very very ordinary. Mediocre restaurant making too much profit. Not acceptable.
Div K
Small place, but what an experience. We were a big group, but even then there was no chaos and the orders were perfect. We were served Chilean wine white and red. Both were nice. In the menu we ordered too much of a variety but I remember that everything was good. Hence can't state a particular dish because all were worth mentioning as very very good.

Honestly in my opinion this is the most innovative restaurant in chandigarh. They keep changing the menu and introducing new things but they are all amazing. I was told to try their variation of the butter chicken but it's probably the only item that I haven't liked there. Amazing food, Amazing deserts and amazing drinks. Best place to have a date in chandigarh especially if you're both foodies. :)

I went to Gusto yesterday night with my family after hearing a lot about this place and I am glad to say, it lived up to its expectation. I would personally however recommend it to people who are non vegetarian as they have far more choices for them.
We had the mezze platter with a chicken starter , some pasta and pizza (don't remember their names) and it's was tasty with beautiful presentation. A must try atleast once.

Food to melt for......charred grilled prawns to perfection.....a tangy lemon smack 👌👍. Served hot as it should be. Loved every bite of it. Soups were awesome :))))) and to top it call the piping hot churro that just made love to my appetite. Service was quick....presentation was awesome.

My second visit..... was really looking forward to. To my sweet pleasure...... I was pleasantly surprised. New cook ! but the quality ....taste.... was immaculate. Orange sauce dressing with pine nuts in chicken salad was sumptuous..... tingling and salivating. New signature butter chicken interpretation was fresh..... definitely something new for those twisty butter chicken lovers.

Never hesitant to try new cuisines this is just the right place for you. They serve some amazing Spanish dishes. Tried churros here they were amazingly delicious. Must try would definitely be non veg skewers 😍 give this place a thumbs up overall

Cute little place and definitely a must visit. Go to Gusto when you don't want to have the regular food like Pizzas Pastas or Chinese or north Indian. At Gusto I always find something new to try out and have never been disappointed.
I go there specially to have the Churros. JUST LOVE THIS THING!
I'd like it if they add more innovative food to the menu especially to the vegetarian menu.
