Sumptuous food.... authentic South Indian restaurant with large variety. Service is good..serve hot...it's budget friendly.

The hotel's ambience is pretty good. Friendly staff always ready to serve you. The service is efficient. The menu has a plethora of options in South Indian food. I have visited this place many times and the quality of the food has been more than satisfactory. The fusion dishes like pizza uthappa and others are really worth a try.

Food quality is very good, service level excellent, we can also order punjabi, italien, Chinese choice apart from south Indian food, little noisy ,but manageable, little costly but it's worth to pay, as quality and quantity is enough n full of taste , value for money products are available , outside paid parking out side so waiting for parking , or to look for space , how ever big issue is the all rrestourent owners of this lane are compromising against fire safety challange as exit gate of each one is one from the front only , fire safely equipment not installed at side where in customer's are sitting n eating in case of emergency any time as kitchen is at the end , yes wash room very clean , proper regular cleaning going on ,service level give 5 star feel from staff serving the food , fresh ,prepared only after order taken . Must visit place with your family and friends

Genuine South Indian food is served here. We tried Dosa Platter, Cheese spring dosa and Bhaji Dosa ( Chef Special). Bhaji Dosa is a must try. Service is prompt and good.

I would recommend you to go for their buffet .... The serve vegetarian buffet at 354/- per person and the variety they serve a variety of food .... In starters they had .. paneer tikka, harabhara kabab, honey chilli cauliflower and chat.... With Indian and Chinese main course and desert 😍

Nice restaurant, decent, vegetarian, good for south indian food. Under ground floor the have pizaa pasta buffet for just 345 Rs. We tried french fries, farm fresh pizza, tandoori sizzler, spring rolls. Pizza could have been better with more vegetables, it had only tomato and capsicum. Restaurant has good ambience, staff are good.

This one is for sankalp south Indian food. I just love their dosa's .sambhar is tastiest Lovely presentation and now new look has been given which is great ND gives more space than earlier. All stars for food.

Ambience is really good. Pizza is limited in both taste and flavors. Apart from the 'Thin Crust', no other variant seems good enough to enjoy. While it kinda makes up with a wide range of salads which is definitely a treat for tongue.

I’ve always been fond of tea provided at sankalp and their crispy dosa menu options. <br/>The place is rebranded/named now and so seems the taste/quality, visited during the current times of corona, not only the food was bad but the hygiene was also not up to the mark and pathetic tea at the price of Rs 75.<br/><br/>Disappointed, it’s one place that I always look up to.

Very good place for south Indian dishes,, I had cheeze burst dosa. It was really tasty. We had one veg thali that was also good. Masala dosa was also good

Searching for south Indian food we reached this place , decent place a little noisy cos of kitty parties. We ordered mini idlis and dosa platter.<br/>Well idlis were a little hard and a bit of oil extra on dosas differentiate from 4 to 5 in ranking. A pleasant experience nice food and nice staff .<br/>Ambiance was good but due to kitty parties avoid this for business outing as it's too noisy. Overall it was good experience.<br/>

Ambience of this place is good for families but the quality of food is not upto mark. Kaju makhni is the worst item in all the food we ordered.

My friend celebrated here birthday here .... We went for the buffet .... And at 354 price you get so many options ..... First the serve soup .... Then the starters which were honey chilli chicken , paneer Tikka , hara bhara kabab and after that papdi chaat 😋..... Then the main course with Chinese and Indian both and then the ice cream ❤️.... A perfect dinner that we had 😍👌

Ordered veg sizzler which didn't have that sizzling effect plus no veggies like tomato, onion or capsicum in it, which are a necessary ingredient for sizzler. Not recommended

Extremely dissappointed, the place served really bad food and the chutneys were horrible. Will definitely be not going again to eat, giving two stars because the service was good and the staff was courteous. Please change your chefs or your preparation, wish you luck

order once or order twice the dosas are superb even the sambar with dosa is very nice not to shaggy or thin in quality like others...three barrel dosa is too yumm

This is one of the finest places in the city to have south indian food.<br/>The ambience and seating is extremely perfect for any kind of family dinner or lunch!<br/>We personally had the classic masala dosa which was crunchy, taste wise quite authentic and moreover served with 4 variants of chutney<br/>Absolutely loved this place and would be going often to this place

It's a pretty decent place. I went on a Sunday and tried their Veg Dinner Buffet. The place was jam packed but this didn't effected the service.<br/>We started with Veg Manchaow Soup. There was nothing special about it and was so-so.<br/>Next I was served three different varieties of Chaat (Bhalla Chaat, Bhel Puri, Regda chaat). All the three were absolutely yummilicious, especially Bhel Puri. The chutney dressings were flavorful. The chaats added freshness to the pallet.<br/>The starters included Crispy Corns, Honey chilli cauliflower, Paneer Tikka and Hard Bhara Kebab. Paneer tikka and Hard Bhara kebab were perfectly seasoned and delicious. But honey chilli cauliflower and crispy corns were average (crispy corns were a little soggy).<br/>The main course offered Paneer Kadai Masala, Dal-E-Awadh, Veg Handi, Manchurian (gravy), Fried rice, plain rice, choice of Bread and salads. Overall the main course was okish.<br/>For the dessert there is a choice between vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce and hot gulabjamun (1pc). I could recommend you to go for vanilla ice cream.<br/>The buffet had both high and low tones.<br/>

Went to the restaurant for lunch with office colleagues.<br/>Ambience of the place is decent.<br/>Food: we started with soup. Tomato soup was good but a bit on spicy side.<br/>In main course, we had paneer tikka lababdaar, veg diwani handi, Aloo Gobhi and dal. Taste was good, I wouldn't say best.<br/>Biggest off for me was like service time. They took approx an hour to serve the food. It may be due to fact that place is South Indian restaurant.<br/>Overall food was good but service surely improvement.<br/><br/>Visited the place again after couple of days.<br/>We thought of trying south indian this time.<br/>Ordered onion rava, Mysore masala, dosa platter, mix veg uttapam, achari onion dosa, masala idli and sizzling brownie in dessert.<br/>Taste of all the items was great except masala idli which was just fine.<br/>Service time was good this time. So my guess of delay in service on first visit was right.<br/>Second visit forced me to change rating from 3 to 4 stars.<br/><br/>Suggestion: the restaurant serves both North Indian and south indian but if you are in a hurry, please go for south Indian dishes.

Madurai sandwich dosa: Two 8inch dosais sandwiched by a typical north-indian aalu-gobi masala. Accompanied with enough sambar (made out of ready mix powder), coconut chutney & green chutney.<br/><br/>Taste: <br/> Dosai: good<br/> Masala: could have been better / untypical<br/> Coconut chutney: amazing...👌<br/> Green chutney: good<br/><br/>Package: <br/>Tin foil food box for dosai, air right container for Sambar, zip lock packets for both the chutneys. and all of them delivered in a tape sealed large paper bag.

Yes the taste is authentic <br/>I really recommend you guys to go try their Mysore dosa and their medu vada they taste really good and yes the paneer dosa too<br/>

Average food and lazy service..it’s a confused place sharing the same entry as another eatery called captain Sam’s. Went there for a late lunch that too as it was a partner Zomato Gold restaurant and was really disturbed by a children’s birthday party happening in the basement..<br/>Would I give it another chance? Shree Dakshin is a very nice place to visit if you like South Indian food. The type of dishes they have and the various innovative ideas making dosa and idli a good option to eat make Shree dakshin a nice place to be. The ambience is nice and so is the staff.

I am not convinced treating this place as a south indian restaurent..the food was good but the flavours n spices were missing...the upma was average the dosa average...the garlic chutney was too good....and rest the ice cream..great simply great.

We ordered 2 Dosas, home delivery. Dosas were tasty, delivered on time but sambar was very less just a serving for 1 dosa. We have to divide in between 2 and the quantity was very less and insufficient, we ate sambar like chutney. I recommend the restaurant that please provide sambar depending upon the quantity of dosas.<br/>

The craving for decent South Indian in Chandigarh is often insatiable but the place is one which was pleasing and delightful. Diverse menu options available for Different types of Idlis and Dosa. We tried Idli Chettinad, Set Dosa with Kurma & Tridev Dosa alongwith Rasam. Idli Chettinad and Kurma is really good and would love to try again. Ambience is nice and comfortable. Food is good, although not authentic South Indian Taste but its a nice blend of other cuisines hybrid to south Indian cuisine and overall tastes good and different . I am sure some of the menu options aren’t available anywhere else in Chandigarh. I wish to have South Indian Thali and Request the management to add this to their menu because a real authentic south Indian Thali served on Banana leaf is not available anywhere in Chandigarh and would be a good USP for any restaurant which introduces this. Modern, elegant cum traditional ambiance with quality food that's Shree Dakshin. Presentation of food was really good. Food quality best in class. In case looking south India and North Indian dishes at same place, go to Shree Dakshin. This place will not disappoint you at all. Great location.

not very great as per the rates.better options are available with lesser rates and good taste.otherwise I feel dosa should be consumed at restaurants instead of home delivery as the taste and crispiness varies.

I ordered "Malabari Parota and kurma"from the menu, and the dish was disatifying. The parota was very dry, that was served with kurma that tasted more like a spicy and greasy mix veg served in punjabi dhabas. We later asked the manager how they prepared this dish, he told us that they heat up the "ready to eat frozen Malabari parota", this can "also" be found in a grocery store. They also gave "normal" water in used mineral water bottles instead of jugs that was simply unhigenic. This was really "shocking", and I wouldn't recommend anyone to visit this place.

Ambience was good. Little confusing as two restaurants under same roof. Food was average but wish they work on the quantity too. Took mocktails which were good.

I have tried cheese corn dosa, idly, crunchy crispy rawa and pina colada. Loved the taste. Cheese corn dosa is my favorite. If you haven't tried the cheese corn dosa here, it's a must try place for you 😊

Ok ok south indian restaurant. At this price tag, there are better restaurants around.<br/>Good - Quick service<br/>Improvement needed - they have 2 menu's. Price of same food item is different in both menu's. When enquired about diffidence, obiviously they don't have explanation. E.g. fresh lime soda. In one menu it is 90/- and in other menu 110/-<br/><br/>Tables and seats are not at all comfortable - you can't stretch your legs because table has partition below which will prevent you to stretch. Not comfortable. Foam seats are just placed on wooden plank , you may slip if you stretch beyond certain point.<br/><br/>Food quantity is small - I had to order 3 different dishes for 2 people.

They operate two menus under same roof which was quite surprising. Gold membership works only on one menu. Beware when you go there. We walked out without eating and went next door to garam dharam.

Asked for Appam, sent Dosa. I don't know who you were trying to fool or if you guys know the difference even. <br/>Also chettinad was a red masala, sweet. I mean whatttt? ... Is it some form of customized north Indian, South Indian combo chettinad. Like Indian Chinese or something.

Decent food, above average ambience and nice seating. One thing that was a put off was the staff, who couldn't care less, tables were messy, no spoons, waiters had an attitude, how hard is it to put a smile on your face, when talking to customers?

Not sure how authentic you would consider the food here, but one thing I can say for sure is it easily has one of the most delicious variety of south indian delicacies. The sambhar and the stuffings used in dosas are freshly prepared.

Ordered food from Zomato for the first time. It was delivered exactly on time. The food I received was nicely packed. Everything was perfectly delivered.<br/>The Mysore Chatpata Dosa was much salty but with Sambhar and chutney it was easy to consume.<br/>The Nutty Fudge Hot chocolate ice-cream was also good and delivered in good quantity. It was little messy and contains mixture of Vanilla, Strawberry and chocolate icecream. At the bottom brownie was there which tasted amazing with ice-cream.

Best place for a birthday party / kitty party. Awesome ambiance with supertasty food, both Indian daal makhani-naan and cool pasta buffet and pizzas. The party organiser Manjunathan was especially very helpful and cooperative

This restaurant isn't just any other South Indian restaurant. I loved the way they have put creativity in the cooking with dishes that are a perfect blend of traditional dishes and modern fast food. Tables for higher occupancy and given the adequate amount of privacy and the preparation time is fast too. Greatly suited for families to have a change and enjoy dishes that are made for every member.

The Only south indian restaurant i like. Love their cheese corn dosa. Love d cheesey idlis and vagair idli which is a masala one. Sambhar tastes so authentic. Reasonably priced too.

The Kanchipuram achari rava dosa is the best dosa I have ever had. My mouth waters at the thought of it. It is pure love. <br/>Plus it is served in pieces of four which makes it easier to eat. <br/>It rocks! <br/>
