Review Cafe Nomad - Chandigarh

Asit Goyal
First time visited along with my colleague. Cold coffee was good in taste. Inside crowd was awesome. Interior was good choice. Service was quick. Rate was little on higher side but that depends on quality which they have delivered Atleast we got parking area. Overall it was a good experience.

This cafe is definitely one of my most favourite cafes. It is located in one of the best areas in Chandigarh. The crowd here is always very decent. The best thing about this cafe is its menu. The food is of always good quality and definitely is always fresh.

Pizza is not good, Ambiance is nice, old kinda homely place. Pasta is great, coffee is not good. Its is a place for non- veg lovers. People who want to have a healthy food in between their by cycle rides or bike rides, people who are travellers and healthy non veg lovers.

The atmosphere of Cafe Nomad is very inviting, with a warm and cozy ambiance perfect for a night out with friends or family. I loved the decor, which was inspired by different countries in the Middle East and the Far East. The menu is a mix of middle eastern and far eastern dishes, and it's great to see that they have options for both meat lovers and vegetarians. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and they were able to guide me through their menu. The pizza was cooked to perfection, with a crispy crust and fresh, flavorful veggies. The flavors were well-balanced and didn't overpower each other, making for a harmonious taste experience. The portion size was also generous, making it a great option for a meal on its own or sharing. Overall, this dish is a must-try for anyone who loves veggies and a good pizza. The brownie shake was equally impressive, with a rich and creamy texture. The thick consistency was perfect for a sweet treat after a meal. Pistachio baklava was the highlight of my dining experience. The layers of flaky pastry filled with chopped pistachios were perfectly sweet and nutty, creating a perfect balance of flavors. The addition of vanilla ice cream only made the dessert even more irresistible. The baklava was the perfect dessert to complete my meal. Overall, Cafe Nomad is a fantastic restaurant for anyone looking to try something new and delicious. Their menu offers a range of options from the middle east to the far east, and the quality of food and service is top-notch. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a unique culinary experience. They have done an excellent job of bringing together the flavors of the Middle East and the Far East to create a truly unique dining experience. P.S: They serve Beer and Wine though out the day.

Non Vegetarian Mezze Platter Café Nomad is one of the best places to have Mezze! And they've been serving unmatched food for years now! So this Mezze comprises of Chicken Shish Touk/Tawook, Lamb Kebab (Seekh) and Lamb Panzarotti (Deep fried Dumplings, Something like Indian Samosas OR Mexican Empanadas 😁) The Kebabs are accompanied by Hummus, Laban (Cucumber Yogurt Dip), Muhammara (Roasted Red Bell Pepper & Walnut Dip). It's all served with Pickled Veggies, Salad & Grilled Pita Bread. Needless to say, so many different Flavours working together make for an excellent platter. The Dips are really different from one another, so are the succulent Kebabs and I absolutely love making a bite trying the different combinations pairing each Kebab with different dips. It's an absolute delight and till you finish it, this platter keeps your taste buds occupied! If you haven't tried the Mezze at Cafe Nomad, you're really missing a good dish on the Tricity Food Scene!

We're going there from last 12 years. It's always so nice to be there. Great food, very nice hospitality n cozy environment makes this place amazing for Mediterranean food. Hummus, Hummus with Chicken, Hummus with Mutton, Kabse all these are awesome. Must visit if one is lover of good food.

A part of the Cast Backpacker's chain, the menu and almost everything is same. Though I felt the food could have been better.. and the ambiance too.

It is located in sector 7 and serves the best of dishes. I have just been there once and have loved it to the core.

We were 3 of us and ordered pita with hummus and another dish that had chicken bell peppers and spring onion stuffed in pita bread. It was kind of a roll . Both quality and quantity were great. It feels the tastes r still lingering in my mouth . I wish to visit there again and again and again.

Very pretty place with such a calm ambiance. Tried their falafel with pita and hummus and cafe lattes. Loved it to the bits. Also their greek dishes are beyond delicious 🤩

Nomad is one of the good cafes i have visited in chandigarh, with cosy ambience + tasty food. Its A cafe i can revisit. I had north indian lunch. And fortunately, paneer dish was delicious.! Which is important. Overall worth trying.

When a place has been there for years in this competitive world , they must be doing something right. Infact they are doing a lot of things right. The ambience is cozy with an open kitchen. The staff is courteous and knowledgeable. The menu, has almost everything which a cafe has plus somethings extra. Kibse, an arabic dish, more of a masala mutton rice, is simply yum. Moost , with good chunks of boneless lamb cooked in a nice spicy masala. The morrocon tagine is nice. Prefer the lamb one to chicken as it has more flavours and you have an option of rice or khous khous. Thebfood is great but a tad expensive. Bon apetite!!
Arshdeep Singh
A quiet place with nice interiors and good ambience. The chicken salad was well prepared and so was the greek lamb Cutlet which was the speciality of the day. Sole fish with pita bread and salad was also well done.
Supriya Sharma
Its one of those places which was really good once upon a time but now it has gone down. The one great factor is the interior which is quite and cosy. Food menu is good but then their preparation is not upto the mark. They also serve alcohol so that is one more reason to visit this cafe.

Staff - this groups entire staff is so courteous and helpful, you can view my review on backpackers for this.
Ambience - dusky cozy comfy , a consistent thread of familiarity between backpackers willow cafe , which is good
Food - best part , it’s different proper west Asian cuisine , tasty and most different menu you’ll find , prepared with proper attention to detail. Must must must try baklava if you love sweet and pistachios. Downside, its over expensive. U like spending like me , love new stuff and want a change, please must visit. PS - parking of the market can be a issue

Nice and quiet place. Food is good, just make sure you ask them in detail about the dish before you order.
On the whole a good experience✨✨
Interiors were fine, not great 😊😊

Nice cafe. The ambience totally sways you in a travel mode. Love how they’ve displayed pictures. The coffee however was mediocre and cold. Could do much better!

Superbly Amazing cafe.
I ordered Cous Cous salad which is made of brown rice. It was super healthy and taste was baseless due to obvious reasons.
Then i ordered a pineapple salad. It was good and super healthy too.
Afte that i ordered white penne pasta. It was one of the best white pasta’s i ever had.
At last mud cake with ice-cream was cherry on top. It was soft , sweet and slurpy.
Must visit !

Love the veg platter and Mediterranean cuisines they offer .. a small place to sit .. but a hearty place to have food and conversations .. one of the first ones in tricity .. loved our all around visit

So the name is intriguing and the place and menu lived up to its expectations. Had a gala time with my BFFs. The plus is that it opens up early, so if you planning to spend more time with you buddies by starting early then that’s what you can do- visit it. Staff is very cooperative and food presentation is awesome. We ordered hummus with chicken served with pita bread which was top notch in all respects. The cottage cheese sandwich was yummy to the core and satisfied the tastebuds. However the cottage cheese shish touk was slightly off the mark with no distinctive taste or character... the cappuccino, cafe latte and mango shake were usual in all respects. Overall the experience was very nice and fulfilling. Highly recommended indeed👍
Meet
A good place for early hangouts.Food is good.Loved the Hummus with chicken served with pita bread ..cottage cheese sandwich was yummy too.The portions were quite generous and the staff is kind .Mango and Apple shake was an average.A good place to try out different cuisines other than regular stuff.Would definitely recommend this place💛
Chaitanya Kaul
A very quiet and sweet place in sec 7. Place has great interiors and ambience. They serve you Egyptian cuisine which is quiet different from many restaurants. I tried roast chicken and scrambled eggs croissant here which was fulfilling and very delicious and i tried there chocolate shake also which was also very yummy and a must try for chocolate lovers. Overall this is a great place to visit must try!!

The food is good but options are very limited. The staff is friendly but puzzled when asked for recommendations. Good food but overpriced and ambience is nice.
Tanu Arora
This is an aesthetically pleasing place , but it's a cafe without wifi, thats disturbing, its overpriced at the least , and i ordered hot chocolate , which tasted nothing like it. 2 stars are probably an exaggeration.
Teevra Kapoor
Had a great experience here, the staff was very polite and a great place for peace lovers.
The food was delicious but i think it was bit overpriced.

Cafe Nomad....Situated at the inner market of Sector 7...Quality of Food and Beverage are awesome.A nice place to have coffee,,,meeting with clints. ....with friends....Must Visit

I am yet to dive into the menu at this place but on a friend’s recommendation I tried Hummus chicken pita at Cafe Nomad. I cannot decide on how to describe the taste of chicken - it was heavenly with a perfect balance of spices that complimented the lebanese palate. This hummus chicken combo with fresh pita would be a must try and go-back-to item on the menu in Cafe Nomad
Chaitanya Suri
Loved the food. A bit pricey but the quantity makes up for it. Try the 'Saaj', it made my stomach happy !
The ambiance goes well with the theme of the menu as well.
Parveen Walia
Simple place with nice ambience !
Well the interiors and vibes of this place are eccentric but coming to food its good not really fab !
Tried humus with chicken , pita pizza and shake ..
Humus with chicken is good but more experiments can be done when coming to flavours
Shake is just satisfactory ..

What is liked about this place is that they offer PITA PIZZA which i ordered out of great expectations but it was just upto mark ..

Overall
I would visit this place again to try other items ! Coz each day just isn’t the same !
Amazing place for Lebanese food. Love their Hummus with Chicken, Shish Touk, Non Veg Mezze Platter and Cold coffee.

Have been disappointed with their Shakes (brownie, chocolate) and Cottage cheese Shish Touk. Found it bland.

The place is pretty laid back. Service is quick and the staff is kickass. One extra point for that!
Vivek.dhar13
Really amazing mutton humus! superb service by Jagdish . Would be coming back here again for sure and other dishes. Also like the chilled atmosphere
Danish Kundra
In a crazy populated market a quiet place to chill.
This place has great coffee and the staff is very nice.
We tried a new dish called kebse
Which is like mutton biryani but with middle eastern flavour

And doner kebab 🥙 I love them but did not like it here.

Must try cold coffee with extra shot for coffee lovers

Cafe Nomad is a very soothing decent place with simple yet amazing ambience. Food and drinks are flavourful and presented good. Cappuccino is an attractive point here as it is not only presented so beautifully but also tastes awesome. Must try.
Parul Narwar
Good interiors and ambience but the place is over priced.
I ordered jujeh kebab, which is Iranian style chicken kebab marinated with yogurt. The salad was fresh and delicious. You can try this place if you're in mood for something fancy.
The desserts and coffee are good too.
Brij
The first impression of the place is something that justifies the name of it. I had expected more from this place. The location where the restaurant is situated, is not good. Customer service was also okay. The food is also overpriced. I would not suggest this place to anyone.

Ambience: 2.5
Food: 3.5
Value for money: 2.5
Ankit Garg
Very bad experience. Ordered 2 cappuccinos to go. The preparation was bad as the coffee was not hot at all. And when I returned it as I asked for more sugar, the guy was not courteous. Also after drinking the coffee me and my friend both felt nauseated after some time. Not worth 400 bucks. Much better places in Chandigarh to have a Cappuccino

Cafe Nomad is definitely a one time visit cafe. The food, ambiance, service and staff, everything is really good.
The food comes on time. The staff is really welcoming. The service is good. The presentation of food is amazing.
You'll get a variety of different food items here. It's a bit on the costlier side but it's worth the price.
So if you are someone who likes to have different food experiences then this is definitely a place for you to visit.
The soups they have are a must try along with their saajs, pizzas and desserts. It's a nice place to visit with your family and friends.
Swati
Well their menu is a little difficult to understand. They have very limited options for vegetarian people. We weren’t hungry much and I was with a vegan friend so had to order a veg dish. We ended up ordering Saaj. It was stuffing between rumali roti served with pickle. I have to say, it was quite healthy and tasty. The portion size was also quite good for two people.
Ambience was nice and quiet. In one corner they had lit up candles which looked peaceful.
Will love to try more of their dishes.
Sehej Hara
Nice ambience. Nice staff.
We ordered Jujeh Kebab and a salad. Both were nicely prepared and presented. The staff suggested us an order of our choice and helped us make a decision out of the complex menu coz its Arabian-Lebanon kinda menu.

Cafe nomad is a very nice place to hangout especially with your partner as it is a calm and peaceful cafe. Coffee is super delicious and pasta is also yum. Cottage cheese peppers and lettuce with sweet chilly mayo is also good to have. Here you can enjoy your privacy with your partner. Ambience is really good.

Welcome to the best place in chandigarh serving authentic Lebanese food! 🙌🏻🍱
Mezze platter

Comprising of pistachio Hummus, Falafel, Cheese borek, Spinach fatyar, Laban with mint, muhammara. Hummus was scrumptious, consistency of which was commendable. Apart from Falafel being a bit hard, everything tasted perfect.
Full marks for presentation. 💯
Anyone who likes to explore different cuisines should visit this place.👍🏻

One of the best places in town, serving consistently good food!
Hot cups of coffee, flavourfull platters of food, aroma of fresh bakes n grills..

Went to this place with friends. Ambiance and service was good.. mixed reviews on the food.. We ordered Mezze Platter both veg and non veg alongwith Shish Taouk and Jujeh Kabab.. The mutton items in the Mezze Platter were okay types as the mutton seemed to be hard and not fresh.. However, the Chicken items, Shish Taouk and Jujeh Kabab were great.. Hummus and Pita bread was also nice.. Six of us paid around ₹4200/- in total.. Overall a decent place to eat..
Shipra Gupta
The ambience is good. With lamps and mellow music, its actually relaxing if the crowd is less. Comfortable and cozy. Food has mixed quality. Soup was worst. Tasteless, without any salt or consistency. Donner kababs were strictly ok. Not good not bad. The life saviour was spaghetti pasta. Finally something worth eating. Loaded with all veggies it was nice. Prices are bit on a higher side looking at the quality though the ambience is worth. Staff is friendly. Will visit again!

Had a good time here with friends. The mezze platter is good, and so is the service. The ambience is pleasing and light, and definitely worth a try.
Lovefood
Great service and a very elaborate menu..... what didn't go down well was the added Indian touch to the original recipes. Disappointed by the poor use of bad quality ingredients......if only the efforts to stick to the original recipies was as great as their servings . Could have been better.
Sanya Pal
Nice place with good ambience. Perfect to visit with friends or relatives. Their sandwiches are a must try and the cold coffee is also nice and filling. The menu gives you a lot of options and is pocket friendly so can be visited with after a tiring tuition. Overall a good experience 👍.

Falafel & hummus, baklava with ice cream
.
.
Sector 7 has quite a few interesting cafes and nomad is one I've been wanting to try. I was mostly excited for the baklava which is hard to find in chandigarh (nik's is not as fine). The baklava nomad's has is the classic Turkish pistachio kind. Baklava is a famous dessert found in many countries throughout the middle east (incl turkey + greece). It is generally layered phyllo pastry sheets with sugary syrup and lemon with nuts.
Baklava: it was served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream garnished with pistachios. Tasted delectable. 4.5/5

Falafel: was served with pickled cauliflower, beets, salad and hummus. The hummus wasn't flavored with anything and had an olive oil drizzle. The falafel balls were crispy but I feel they were too ground up as they broke like aloo tikkiyan. They could have used a wee bit more salt. Loved the pickled beets. Rated 3.5/5

The decor is classy and gives a romantic feel. The seating is comfortable. They were supposed to close at 12 am and we walked in at 11:45ish so I really appreciate them serving us and not rushing us at all.

I would recommend cafe nomad for a middle eastern delight. Rated 4/5

Follow me on instagram! @thegreedygut

Used to be an establishment, always a nice homely place to go to. Many years later though the charm has gone, loud club music being played in a small Lebanese restaurant accompanied by food that made two of our group incredibly sick the next day.

Desperately needs an overhaul

Backpackers as a group has disappointed me always. Last time it was Backpackers in Elante Mall where you had one beer in stock and today it was Cafe Nomad. And at both instances it was the Excise Dept at fault. What a coincidence? That's why the rating of 1.
Zomatofoodguide
Tried this place after a very long time
Not that satisfying to be very honest but doing well for a cafe
Tried the BLT sandwich which was actually nice but quantity was not that great and the pricing was high as well
Price hike and less quantity is always a No No
Tried non veg platter which was also expensive with rather more of kebabs
Once a visit is fine but not that recommendable
Manmeet Anand
Went there for my birthday dinner. Exquisite decor with impressive service, good serving portion and yummilicous food. We ordered chicken shish touk and jujeh kabab which ended my day quite well. Pistachio hummus was a winner in itself.
Stuti Garg
I had the Sumac Zatar Flavour Roast Chicken Club Sandwich
The sandwiches were filled with layers of roasted chicken, cheese, tomatoes, cucumbers and lettuce. They came in proportion of 4 small sandwiches. A side of potato wedges and some salad was there too.
The sandwiches were crisp and there was a proper taste of chicken😋
Quantity of this dish is superb!
Lord Of The Eats🤑🤤
Beautiful and exciting cuisine, with lovely ambience and friendly staff, what more could one ask for!
Cafe Nomad takes you on a journey through east, and it makes us discover such wonderful tastes, unimaginable until they enter your mouth. I believe that restaurants are just like endless rows of rocks, and, somewhere along the way we find a diamond. I believe that I have found mine.

One of the feathers in Chandigarh's 7-8-9-10-11 Geri route's cap. A perfect place for Good food, conversations and relaxing. My favorite here is falafel and pita along with a relishing drink to gulp it all down. The ambience is colonial kinds, easy with a hint of Vintage. A must go amongst the list of Chandigarh's most visited!!
Mandeep Singh
What an amazing place.....the ambience .... The music....just the right kinds and at the right volume....the service...the food...the staff.....a lethal combination which makes this place worth visiting again and again.

A wonderful place to have best Hummus around and not to forget , best ever mustard sauce . Ambience , courtesy, taste , quantity perfect . Had nice time (rings bells )

Beautifully done with extensive Lebanese cuisine to offer! I visited this cafe on a weekend afternoon for lunch. The interiors are exquisite although I expected more "middle eastern feel" from the place in terms of decor. Menu covers Lebanese options in detail and we settled for the following order for two:

Mushroom and Jalapeno Melt Sandwich: soft bread with generous mushroom filling served with potato wedges and small portion of salad, good in taste. Brijesh Singh

Stir fry Mushroom, Pok Choy, Broccoli Spaghetti: Sufficient portion with decent plating, slightly bland in taste. Suggestion: Do serve garlic bread along with Spaghetti.

Cold coffee: Thick and creamy coffee with chocolate crumbles, great option for caffeine enthusiasts

Staff is courteous and price wise the place is slightly on the high end, but worth the moolah. @ brijesh singh

Great décor and ambience, perfect for a date or simply a conversation! Would definitely return!

Ordered: Hummus with Pita, Americano (black coffee), afogato, a cappuccino and baklava.

The hummus was so creamy with the perfect amount of olive oil. The pitas to accompany it were warm and crispy, just as I expected.
Afogato was like a dessert in a cup! Coffee and ice cream make a great couple. Though I wouldn't recommend ordering it in the winter as it is cold.
The cappuccino and americano tasted like any other would. The cappuccino could've been warmer..

The BAKLAVA was AMAZING! A little less 'sticky' than what I've had before but the definitely the best in Chandigarh.
Thisworldisouroyster
Love their mezze platter. Consistency of hummus is commendable. Only place in Chandigarh servinf authentic lebanese food. Everybody should visit this place

cafe nomads located in the inner market of sector 7, this one is small cafe serving variety of food from thai to continental...
Atmosphere- atmosphere is silent, not much of people around, staf is just ok though one expect them to cheerfull but they are not 😂
Food- i didnt enjoyed the food that much, we ordered thai food, fish curry, roast chicken salad and the taste was just ok, though i likes the roasted salad but apart from it no dish was above average..
Abhinav
We ordered

Pita Pizzas (roast chicken and all veg), oriental salad, roast chicken salad,

Cottage Cheese Donner kebabs, Oriental Pan Fried Fish with lemon sauce, Thai Curry Green with Rice.

Grilled Stuffed Chicken Breast with Port Wine and grape sauce.

All the dishes were below average.

Pizzas were not good, lacked seasoning and sauce or any taste at all, the cheese was gluggy and not enjoyable. The Salads were very average, oriental salad was just lettuce and corn and nothing at all, no seasoning was there which made it quite difficult to cut the sharpness of the thai dressing.

The Donner kebabs were just okay. Nothing special about them.

All the protein we got was overcooked, chicken and fish and mutton, everything was overcooked and rubbery. The chicken was so overcooked that we had to just leave it on the plates. The waste of dishes was neither followed by an apology nor any explanation by the manager.

The Thai Curry had heaps of salt and was not enjoyable. Such a waste of good food and good ingredients.

For the price we paid for each dish it was a total waste of good ingredients and money. They had ruined the dishes in very bad ways.

The service was okay.

Not recommended at all.

Mealsyoulove rating

Ambiance: 5/10
Taste: 1/10
Service: 7/10
Value for money: 0/10

Visited this place to meet some fellow friend's. We informed them that we are a big group and they handled it very well by making the necessary arrangements. We ordered salads , pizza's, and few drinks and i appreciate the way by which they handled it.
We ordered an oriental salad and sumac roast chicken jalapeños salads
And sumac zatar roast chicken pizza and a all veggies pizza i ordered a broken Brownie shake along with it.
Salad were good with a strong dressing.
The pizza's were average and needs changes.
Shake was horrible for that price.
But i appreciate there hospitality

The food is pretty average and I was a bit disappointed given that I love Backpacker's. Nevertheless a great place to hangout and drink!

Wine stock, brick fire pizza
Decent beverages, well descent staff, clean menus,
A place working on the legacy of the other outlets in the family as per me.
Less crowded. Good ambiance. If i really wana talk and not eat much, in and around 7, this would be the place. The taste palate is really not that convinced with these guys

Cafe Nomad is a very interesting place and I visited it with my friends on a Saturday evening. The ambiance is quite impressive and an apt place for couples to spend quality time along with good food. The location of the cafe is good and the interiors are pretty impressive and unique.

The staff is courteous. Menu has a lot of variety and it is different from other cafes. I ordered a jalapeno mushroom sandwich with spaghetti and red wine. The food tasted good but noting impressive was there in it if you compare the prices, I mostly enjoyed sitting there with my friends and chilling.
The best part of my meal was the baklava cake with ice cream.
Its the best dessert I ever had in years and its what I recommend to anyone who has a sweet tooth. I have visited this place thrice and mainly for the baklava cake. ;)

Overall its a nice place to sit and relax and couples should surely go.

Awsome food with a really classy theme something you cant miss beatifully decorated and really interesting.overall its a place to be.

I had great expectations.
The Apple spritzer was good and the sumac chicken salad was spectacular.
The non veg mezze disappointed with its dry, below average entrées (& pistachio hummus not hitting the mark).
The blueberry and mascarpone ice cream was just about good. (Blueberries were replaced by raspberries but thats ok!)

We spent about 2000 bucks (approx) for 2 people.
Astha Dhanda
Great coffee and hot chocolate. Loved the fish and the hummus is to die for. The portions are big and the food tastes great. I loved the ambience and the service is fast and people are very polite. It's one of my go to places in the city to have a quite time with my friends.
Nikhil Madaan
I hv tried their pizzas , salads and coffee
Nothing tasted good. . The cuisines they serve are available on other outlets and
Many other cafes with great ambience and great food . Cafe nomad stands nowhere in its competition. Not worth for money . Ambience 3/5 food 2/5
Saguna Gupta (iamwherefoodis)
Cafe Nomad is by the backpacker's team and so, there was an assurance that food would be just bang on! It specialises in turkish and middle eastern cuisine.

In terms of ambience, other outlets by the same group are better looking than this one. But the staff and service are just great.

Had a shish taouk which is mediterranean tandoori chicken served with salad, hummus and pita bread. The chicken was nice and succulent. We liked it.

My friend had the iced tea while i had a cappuccino. My coffee was served with cookies which were really hard and not melt in your mouth kinds.

Expected better from this place. Anyhow lebanese food lovers can try.
JD
Their food is too good, a treat for the taste buds. Must try is their Shish Touk and Mutton Kibbeh. Not a very buzzing place but a heaven for food lovers. Interiors are good, staff is responsive and very courteous.
Neeti Gupta
another place from the backpackers' team, this is the joint I head to when I need coffee as dark and aromatic as sin or as the arabian spices in the turkish boiled brew can make it. not recommended for anyone with a fondness for milksop brews but magical for fans of its dark avatar. the mezze platter is the best companion for hummus n zatar sumac cravers, though can wholeheartedly recommend the fragrant and filling soups as well!
Mehak Aggarwal
Pleasant and soothing ambience. We ordered shish touk and chobra ras soup. Soup was extremely delicious but dish was fine. Coffee was so yummy.
Staff was polite and welcoming. Overall a good place to have pleasant time with your friends.❤️👍

Lesser crowded than its other two contemporaries .. I liked the place for its sheer quiet ! Mezzes are to die for.. I have tried each and every.. Hot and Cold and liked them all!! The show stopper is actually hidden in its dessert section .. The BLUEBERRY and MASCARPONE homemade icecream. The day I discovered this gem.. I attained nirvana!! Hahaha..

Must try.
5.CUSTOMER SERVICE-Excelent with fast and active staff
6.MENU-Great menu with many choices
7.MUST VISIT IF YOU VISIT THE CITY-Kinda yes, it is a great place to eat at but there are some better places
Ambience=7/10

I visited this place last weekend and this is another one in many whose decor is inspired by English cafes, lightly lit, fine music (listened to stereo love - Edward Maya after so long ), a place where you can be with ur people or on ur own. We were looking for a refreshing meal - warm and lil filling and ended up choosing the soups - cock a noodle soup ( we picked a veg. version of it, crisp veggies in soya mixed stock with boiled noodles ) , chorba ras el hanout and noodles (tomato based, lightly flavoured with spices and served along with noodles) , spinach and lemon soup with cheesy dumplings (a clear veg stock based) - taste, quantity --> 4/5.

Although the preparations are tasteful, have a variety of options but we found the chairs a lil uncomfortable.

Looking forward to try more on their dishes in the next visit!

Tastefully and well thought out decor and a warm welcoming staff are just the first few impressions you get when you enter and take a seat. Coming to the business end of things, namely, the food, the JUJEH kebab (An Iranian dish as advertised) was just brilliant and so was the staple Lebanese food consisting of the ever so popular hummus and pita. The pita deserves a special mention as the same were made fresh and were super crisp and thin and therefore a delight to munch on. However, a dish called "SAAJ", which we ordered, was thoroughly wanting and to be honest quote sub-par. It's basically a sort of a calzone and the only saving grace were the good amount of olives stuffed in them and therefore is one dish which sort of put a dampener on an otherwise enjoyable lunch. The pricing is mid to high range with a meal for two comprising an appetizer and individual courses alongwith non alcoholic drink faring approximately 2K.
Overall, a good job and definitely worth a try, but certainly a bit of a tweak is clearly warranted and of course a rethink on the "SAAJ"

Ordered Hongzhou spiced soup with mushrooms and tofu, it had a disgusting after taste. Then ordered saaj which was just about ok. Nothin special. The zatar and cottage cheese pizza with pickled chillies was the best amongst the lot. Don't go to this place if you can help it. It's expensive and the food doesn't really taste that good.

Food: I've tried Shorba Libiiya (Tomato soup with Lamb pieces and white chane), Jujeh Chicken kebab, Cappuccino, Shish Taouk, and thin Crust Pizzas here. There was no Wow factor in any of the preparations. Moreover, the Pita bread which is always supposed to be soft and fresh were quite hard to break and chew. Quite unimpressive and to top it all up Capucinno coffee by definition has milk in it whereas it was served to us as black coffee and we had to ask them to add the milk. Duh!

Ambience: The Menu, interiors, etc. all have a Middle Eastern theme (Nomad) and are impressive. How I wish I could say the same about the food. The staff is courteous.

What was I even thinkin going their. Worst experience ever. Might be a bad day (mine or the chefs) but nothing good could ultimately be said.
Well , ambiance was amazing. A classy , authentic look strikes as soon as u step into #Cafe Nomad. That's it.
Frisky service. Delayed . Expensive. That what could have made it average. But then came that undercooked, tasteless, disappointing meal that hit me like a shell shock.
Not just the food even the cappuccino was not prepared properly. I was just given cup of "whatever" but definately not the cappuccino.
All in all not worth the value , unsatisfactory, looks are not enough, well I love food.
We went from sector 35 - Sector 16 (Avoided because my friends thought Live Music is not something they want) - sector 9 (because there was no space for parking)- Sector 7 (It was technically restaurant next to it; just because I

Not even worth one star, the pizza i ordered was the worst i have ever had. Look of it was, as if it was just kulcha. And taste. Man it was just as balnd and flavour as water. Waste of money

When it comes to Lebanese/ Middle Eastern cuisine this joint is my first choice in Chandigarh. Cheese cottage donner is my favourite. Great Cafe and quick service with very hospitable staff.

Usually the service and feel of this group of care is good. I will say it was not bad this time also but it was not up to mark. I have been to this cafe before also and usually it is a great experience but this time it was below standard. Firstly the tables and even the chairs felt bit sticky not sure what was happening.Had to ask for water which just borderline cool. Food was fine but not amazing. The sandwich one we took spinach, chickpea and feta one had the feta almost missing. One I had was the kibbeh sausage sandwich it was fine. But the potato wedges and salad could have been much better. Cappuccino was a complete disappointment and turkish coffee I am not sure it was what it was supposed to me seemed just a version of black coffee. Over all experience was just okashish which usually is very good in this chain of outlets. Maybe they need to spruce up the things. The staff seemed confused and billing took alot of time strange as it was not a complicated one but I think they were out of paper roll.

Nice place, good ambience, good food and quick service. What else one needs. Try anything in chicken. Vegetarians can try cheese cottage donner. Nice place to hangout with friends and family. Looking forward to try other dishes. Happy munching tri citians.

We just ordered drinks that day, and the place offered a nice, rustic and quiet ambiance for us to enjoy our drinks and chat away. Chocolate banana shake was yum. And fresh lime water was tasty as well. Quantities were good too, and so was the service. I liked it overall and will be back to try out some of the other food items soon!

Food: I have been here two times and the food has always left me happy. There is variety, with middle-eastern and eastern options. The portion size is good, and the taste is pretty good as well. I have tried the meat kibbeh and the mozarella cheese borek among the Mid-eastern dishes. The kibbeh is a little too dry for my taste but the chesse borek is amazing, very cheese and crispy. I did not like the hummus served with it though. But the salad and pickled vegetables that accompany these dishes are really good. From the Eastern dishes, I have tried
the Fragrant Thai Kai and the Stir Fry Mushr
oom, Pok Choy, Broccoli and Spaghetti. I liked the flavour of both these dishes, but considering that I've had basil rice in Thailand, the Fragrant Thai Kai did lack that classic flavor of basil. Coming to desserts, the chocolate mud pie was good and very chocolaty and served with a good presentation. But I think they should consider having a vegetarian(no-egg) dessert on the menu. The Affogato (shot of espresso topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream) is yummy too!
Service: The service is not really top-notch. Both the times that I have been here, we always have to keep asking for water refills. And there is no use asking for recommendations, I have tried that with no good. The service is quick enough though but there are communication problems.

Ambiance: The ambiance of the place is beautiful, with all the chandeliers and mirrors giving it a very mid-eastern feel. But the music this time around was very loud and spoilt the mood created by the decor. They should consider playing softer music, so everyone can enjoy the entire experience!

They have a friendly staff and amazing ambiance.
Their cappuccino is really good.
Their food on the other hand is just average. Lacks flavor.
