I am from Delhi. Not many things measure to Delhi standards, but the Gol Gappe I ordered were better than anything that I had in Delhi. Ekdum crisp golagappe. Paani is mind blowing just the right amount of khatta meetha. Aloo and kaale chane ki fillings just right. Although little less in quantity.
One of the best place for Outing. With different type of Chaap, Bhalla Papdi, Dahi Gol-Gappa etc. Most recommend for everyone to visit this place once.
after reacing at garg chat around 8:40 pm in lockdown time period i thought they are just providing normal taste.. but when i strt eating aloo tikki you won’t blv it’s fingure licking taste. so i suggest you totry aloo tikki , pappri chat and gol
gappa as well.
This is one of the oldest tikki Chaat and bhalla papdi shop in the Chandigarh. More than 20 years old and still running to huge queues. Crispy aloo tikki and bhalla papdi chaat are favourites. They recently started serving in long green leafs instead of plastic or other plates, which is a very good eco friendly initiative. Must visit if you are in Chandigarh.

I have heard about this place and also checked the reviews, so I personally go here and check out what kind of spices, butter and so on they are using. The butter they are using is pure amul butter for the pav bhaji and the was so good. Gol gappe which we can also say Pani purii also lip smacking, they have only water which is MIX water for gol gappe.
PAV BHAJI and GOLGAPPE both was awesome. These are available on very reasonable price.

They say with time, everything changes. Clearly they haven't visited this place. I was born and raised in and about sector-23 and spend most of my adulthood here. I have seen this place be like this (of course with some facelift) and not change one bit now, I am not saying that a bad thing. Infact, thats a pretty sweet thing if you think about. The chatpata golgappa paani with propriety masalas are worth everything. Back then they used to sell out of earthen pots and on a 4 wheel cart but now with the profits and the price hike, they have modernize everything but I am really glad that they have kept the same original taste.
They used to only have golgappas, chat papparis and dahi bhallas but now they have expanded into tikki chat also (which is a hit or miss at times). But I would highly recommend the place for Golgappas (Panipuri) lovers. Unlike most of the places here, they only have one water taste but mind you that water can put even big shops to shame. highly recommemded!
The downside is that the place is out in the open and you kind of have to stand and eat stuff (Hygenic). Sometimes I found the people hired by the garg brothers not wearing proper hand protections and caps which can be very unhygenic.

I have heard about this place and also checked the reviews, so have ordered mixed chaat & tikki. It was pure ghee tikki and the taste was so good. Papdi chaat was also lip smacking, curd was fresh and sweet in taste. Papdi was crispy. Both were non - spicy, chatpata all together which is the best thing for me.

Probably the best chaat ive had in chandigarh. The chats were tasty ticked all the boxes of being, sweet, sour spicy and chatpata. The soya malai kabab stood out also. They are not very expensive but is crowded during rush hour. A must do in Chandigarh

Went there on basis of recommended places to eat street food in chandigarh and the place didn't disappoint. Their golgappas - both the normal ones and the dahi chutney ones were great. Aloo tikki was excellent too with just right amount of crispness and spice level.

Stuffed panipuri is must try. Water of panipuri is something like never tasted anywhere. It is very refreshing in taste. Soya malai chaap is great. Aloo tikki chaat is good. But you get similar chaats in various other places

I have been to Garg Chaat several times when I used to live in Chandigarh for a couple of years. I visited them recently while traveling to Chandigarh for a few days. The gol gappas are evergreen and are really nice. Though they are not really out of the world or anything different, only reason that I like this place is that they are very clean and hygienic. We also had their pao bhaji, which is not really their USP. It was not a good choice to have from. There are better places in the vicinity that offer better pao bhaji.
Overall a decent place to have gol gappas and chaat.

1 of those places which are now a landmark. they serve the best chaat in tge city. they are also know for golgappas but cant wait for that long in a line also theek hi hai golgappe. also got to mention love the tikki its crispy with tangy chutneys.
as per the trends they have also started many more yummy stuff like chaap , pav bhaji, sweet corn, panner tikka. from the new arrivals paneer and chaap are outstanding.

What can i say about this shop .. a shop i have been for like more than 80 times ... Never getting over there taste of tikki bhalla .. and a special mention one of the best golgappa of Chandigarh ... I have been a regular visitor to this shop , I dont even remember for how many years now. This was one of the best chaat shops in Tricity almost every tom, dick and harry knew even before the pre Zamato era.To write reviews about such genius places is like सूरज को दिया दिखाना!!
The guys offering you the golgappa and chaat are quiet ralways. Any request or demand is acknowledged with a nodding head or an eye gesture. And the way their hands move in robotic precision.Amazing!!
They are never baffled by the overcrowding of their shop.
Their eye is on everyone who came in first. Even if someone tries to break the que for the Golgappas turn, they will mildly point towards the person who came in first.
So , such places are like a pilgrimage. Not like the recently opened eateries in the tricity, who are concerened about their presence on social media only. Food preparation comes secondary to them , fake reviews and followers are what they are looking for.
Truthfulness and dedication to their produce are the two lessons that every restaurantier needs to learn fron GARG CHAAT.

The Food is so good here that it sees a huge rush. Despite thay, the system is well managed. One can get their orders quickly. It took me 10 min to get my orders. I am posting pictures below.

Simply the best chaat in Chandigarh. The gol gappe are incredible, sweet and tangy. Everything in the shop is just absolutely wonderful, not very spicy, simple tasty, moreish flavours.
A very busy crowded tiny joint that serves all types of Chaat. We had the Aloo Tikki Chaat that was served in a unique handmade leaf bowl. Topped with lots of creamy Dahi, this chaat was very hot and wholesome. The Tikki was well cooked and crunchy. The flavours of the chutneys were spot on. A perfect snack for the freezing Chandigarh weather.
This is just another overhyped place that is not serving anything special in terms of the food. It is always crowded, the wait times are high although they have managed to keep the prices on the lower side. Don't go here with high expectations.

This place has been serving the best chaat in the city since 1968 and till now has never failed to delight with their flavours.
I absolutely love their alloo tikki chaat. It's super crispy fried alloo topped with curd, sweet taramind chutney & green mint chutney with loads of shredded cabbage, carrots & raddish.
The best part is that the chaat is served in leaf bowls instead of plastics.
The taste is beyond appreciations. The potatoes are crispy on the outsides coated with all chutnies and veggies and extremely soft & delectable inside.

Definitely to taste the best you have to struggle a bit, although owner has tried to manage it by providing separate counters but it's not solving the purpose as I waited for around 25 minutes to take my order.

Very tasty tikki crispy crunchy. Tikki is served already chopped and a plate made of banyan tree leaves heads-up they may leak. I was not happy why they algae chopped the tiki but it makes sense when you start eating tikki is very crunchy hence it’s hard to break on that plate.
