Review Sip 'n' Dine - Chandigarh

Starters were the best part in the restaurent. Atmosphere is cozy and good for get together. U will get 6 starters here in veg. Soup of two types. Main course includes all kinds of breads like lacha parantha ,missi roti, butter naan etc. In Dessert u will have hot gulab jamun with ice cream, fresh fruits. Also open bar is also here. Overall its a good restaurent.

Lovely cozy place. I went there alone and still the ambience made me feel like lordly! The Chicken in black pepper sauce was chummazing! Loved the comfort of the chair, the ambience the service. A must go place if you want a quick tasty meal. Quick because the food was prepared fairly quick! Take my word, you'll love it!

The place was so peaceful. Ambience was very wonderful. Staff was very polite and quick. Variety is available can add more snacks. Ice cream was so yummy. Place where u can get time to talk, chill out with friends and colleagues.

The overall ambiance of the restaurant is quite attractive. The buffet, both veg n non- veg is quite worth the charges put. The food tastes amazing. The staff is cooperative and well behaved. The cleanliness is at par. It’s just that may be due to weekend rush, they were so busy that our table was waitered after around 10 minutes of arrival. Otherwise, it was a good experience.

Victorian ambiance, Chinese to try, service is like a club. My first impression is like walking into a golf club, or Tea cafe in Mumbai or the restaurant in Connaught Place. All of us wanted to eat Chinese, it was worth it - 3 dishes between 4 people, and there was still left to carry in doggy bag. We asked the waiter, if is going to be spicy and he gave the right amount spicy amount The service was impeccable like that of English Tea serving places, where they serve tea with dolly on a senior defence officer canteen. Would definitely recommend for family get togethers.

I was there to attend a group meet, so a separate hall was booked so couldn't notice much about the restaurant. Still I would say Ambience was quite good. The crowd there was good n good families were coming to have their Lunch there. Snack and Food served were just fine as I couldn't find anything extraordinarily tasty. Service was good and the staff was on their toes to help us. Nothing special is there to mention about.

I have had two parties here. And of course I went for dining and enjoyed buffet. Service is prompt. In the parties as well, guests appreciated the level of professionalism and food. I think it is a good place to visit and check out some food. In snaks, veg momos were awesome.

Great atmosphere. Food is very heavy traditional north indian taste to it. A few dishes felt like not freshly prepared. Their Lunch Thali for Rs. 299 is a value for money meal.

We ended up in this place while walking to a shop. Never heard about it before, so everything was a surprise. Service was A1. So good and professional staff, from the receptionist to manager to waiter. Waiters had a hand on their chest while taking an order. They were very patient, calm and quick. Atmosphere was a typical fine dining. They have a buffet, so a portion was dedicated to that. Typical resturant intrumental music was on. Dimly lit which makes it feel cozier. I wasn't expecting food to be so good but it didn't disappoint at any point. We had Paneer lababdar(requested, not on the menu) and butter naan and both of them were really tasty. Quantity is v good; the sabzi was easily for 2-3 people. We also ordered strawberry shake which was also yummy. Pleasantly surprised and happy with my new find! Good for a peaceful lunch.

My favourite honey chilli cauliflower from the kitchen of SIP N DINE. It is so delicious. Cooked to perfection and bursting with flavours. This was one of my favourite and definitely going back for more. A must try if you haven't already Ambience was so good Taste of food was A1 Service was soo good This is family place

Nice Fine Dine Restaurant & Bar located on Madhya Marg, Sector 7 Chandigarh. Chandigarh's native restaurant having a restaurant in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia too. Ambience of the restaurant is perfect for comforting experience with very hospitable staff eagerly serving the guests to utmost satisfaction. The chef is well trained, experienced and professional. All that was served or laid for Buffet has nothing to point a finger at, be it Kabab, Curd roll, Paneer tikka, Chicken roasted/ chilly or Golden Fish fillets which I loved to repeat. The buffet spread has good variety of Veg & Non-veg sumptuous dishes. Desserts have Indian and ice-cream varieties. Aerated drinks and Jal-jira form part of the Buffet. A well stocked Bar having reasonably priced drinks doesn't pinch your pocket to enjoy your outing. Visit again is solicited by one's experience.

Enjoyed visiting this place. Food and Liquor prices are very economical. Great Ambience if you are planning to visit with your family or as a couple. You can either choose Buffet or order as per your convenience. Just don’t forget to ask for a discount as they have some offers on the specific cards which they won’t disclose until you are aware about it.

Had buffet dinner. Food was great my favourite was fresh lime soda. Main course was okaish and the sweet dishes had fewer options. But the starters were amazing and according to price 670 veg and 770 non veg. It was worth it.

I had to pay 1960 in total.. But they charged 2059... Why??? Being zomato gold or zomato Pro user.. If I pay 2451 bill through zomato app then my total payable amount is 1960..<br/>One more fraud.. Buffet available here at good cost. Good place to visit with family. It's one time visit place little bit old fashioned. Furniture is outdated but budget place to have Buffet.

I went with my friends for a cup of coffee and to cater our midday cravings. The coffee was pretty decent but I really liked the spread menu in their starters/snacks. We tried their regular starters and really relished it.

Ordered Lemon Garlic Fish, Crispy Corns and Chicken Kalmi Kebab..all of which tasty really good. The best was that they serve Kingfisher Draught and there was 1+1 on Liquor as well. So a we had a great deal and relaxed ambience.

Just go to this place for one dish - Chicken Kurkuri Kebab. Call it nostalgia, but still enjoy munching on it even with the run down interiors & empty tables around. Also, the staff is lovely, very courteous.

Its a very wonderful place for party. I booked my mehndi function here and from start to finish the staff were so friendly and helpful. Nothing was ever to much trouble for anyone. I went to this place in a corporate lunch. Tried a lot of stuff that was available in lunch buffet. The starters are really good and also some new ones are in their menu. Main course is also good and the same is true for desserts.

Went there for a group outing and I was wondering if we stayed at our place instead, we would had our time utilized better. A very well known and popular joint, recently renovated ...warm and cozy ambiance. The restaurant serves Indian, continental to Chinese i, very well stocked bar and one of the few places that serve you good cocktails.... one of the best mojito’s. The snacks and the food is really goo. the best thing about the place is that they don’t have blaring music.. you can actually talk . their service is good.... very few places actually take that much extra care.. and no one to intrude on your privacy or in rush to throw you out. best starters are stuffed potatoes, papdi paneer, honey chilly cowliflower... Well located on the main road... all in all a good place...

I really wanted my first zomato review to be positive but sip n dine completely let me down. It was the tiniest buffet I be ever been to and the quality of the food was pathetic. <br/>Non vegetarian food was still eatable but the vegetarian section was totally hopeless. Went with a vegetarian friend. What a mistake. <br/>For the fruits they just had papaya and watermelon. <br/>There were flies in the dessert section. When we asked them about it they said sir door Khulta hai to andar aa jati hain. <br/>Staff was averagely courteous. Seating was comfortable. <br/>Wouldn't visit again.

I read all the previous reviews but still took a chance and I wasn't disappointed . Tandoori snacks were very tasty including non veg . Service was fast . And didn't had much for dinner . So that's why rated it accordingly . One can go with family as well for dinner .

Sorry for not having anytime to portray many of the previous dine outs at various places owing to an over busy schedule since a real long time because of my marching PhD work.After a relaxing summerish Saturday, following a movie late evening, we gave a green light to pop in this "not young" restaurant which gives a sneaky look from behind a huge tree. The city beautiful turns silent towards this segment of the street even on weekend eventides, hence finding a parking was smooth.We progressed in after being courteously greeted by the uniformed doorman. Finding the place well illuminated, it gave a wonderful appeal to us about the ambiance of the place. We caught a table for four and requested if the server could suggest some good preparations to which we were given a look indicating as if we are such idiots that we couldn't read the menu and understand anything! Feeling outlandish by his gaze, we ordered for 1 achari paneer, 1 daal makhani, 1 chicken tikka, 1 stuffed kulcha, 3 tandoori rotis and 3 laccha paranthas.After a long wait, the chicken tikka was served half heartedly on a rectangular platter which was swept on sides with a cloth and still the marks were visible. The very presentation made it feel substandard. To add to the gloom was the taste and portion size. Subsequently, all other eats also arrived. Indian breads were great! Achaari paneer had NO FLAVOR of achaar at all. Dal makhani was too petite to be served to anyone!! We dared not to give any feedback because of the first interaction with the server! They charge hefty and deliver trivial!! Another thing to mention is the provision of paper napkins in a so called high end restaurant instead of serviettes of the least quality!Well, all in all it was a lousy experience!! Food 5/10, Portion 3/10, Ambiance 6/10 and Service 2/10.

For this restaurant I have just 3 words - "Old is Gold". Full marks for one of the most tastiest dishes and not very costly on the pocket. For non-veg lovers this place is bliss - recommendations are its tangri kebab and chicken chakori which are truly unique and out of the world. For veggies they will love the spinach and corn rolls and kurkuri kebab. And booze of all variety to go with them. But if you leave without having their tutty-fruity you will be committing a dreadful sin, so on my recommendation take a large one coz its the best in town. My most frequently visited restaurant in the tricity and surely it will become the same for you also once you try it.

Seems like the old famous Sip n Dine, which was once a premium fine dining restaurant, is now lost in the "Buffet Gamble".<br/><br/>Luckily, the decor is the same and they have tried to maintain the same ambience, however ambience is not created by decor and music alone. The sullen faces of the servers, the dilapidated couches and dirty floors ruin the fine dine experience.<br/><br/>Although they serve both a'la carte and buffet during lunch hours, yet the complete attention is towards buffet only. In spite of that, the servers will serve you half-heartedly and that too after an intolerable delay. The food bowls are not refilled on time, the roti baskets are brought in so late that you would rather choose to end up your meal right then and there than to wait for the food.<br/><br/>If all that isn't enough to make you lose your appetite, the mediocre food will make you have second thoughts for a second serving. The starters are greasy, soup is runny, welcome drink has more cold water than cold drink in it and the cakes in the desserts are as hard as some expired biscuit left out since long.<br/><br/>The buffet is definitely a lost deal, and the place is turning a big turn off due to its dull ambience.

The second most horrible buffet place after buffet hut is Sip N Dine. i have been there 2-3 times but never had a good experience.<br/><br/>Same like buffet hut,snacks are jus fine and main course is S**t. We all had been waiting for long for our friends to treat us and none of the plans worked until they bought SIP ‘N’ DINE’s deal from an online merchant. Everyone excused their work and went for lunch. <br/>We reached by 1 P.M and got settle down quickly. The deal was for buffet, so we told them to bring the food quickly so as we can finish the food asap and leave for our work. <br/><br/>The guys started with Manchurian balls which were quite good, not too hard and not too dry. Once we were done with Manchurian, the guy arrived with Honey Chili Cauliflower. This was also good to eat, not so sweet and not so spicy. The florets were of right size, crisp and hot. <br/><br/>Having enough of Manchurian and Honey Chili Cauliflower, we had to ask them to bring cold drinks and some other stuff. We actually had to wait for long time before they could bring the other snacks. Had to call them at regular intervals for refilling the drinks and snacks. <br/><br/>After 20-25 minutes the guy arrived with Paneer Tikka, which was average in taste. Very ordinary Paneer Tikka it was, nothing special. Along with the Paneer Tikka, we were served Seekh kababs as well. It was pathetic in taste and lacked flavors, all bland it was.<br/><br/>Once we were done with starters we headed for main course. It included manchow soup rice, noodles, assorted breads, dal makhni, white chana, and few more vegies which I didn’t bother to check. Dessert included fresh fuits, jalebi, gulab jamun, cakes and ice cream. The manchow soup was good and so was the salad. Rice were not properly cooked but dal makhani was delicious.<br/><br/>Coming to ambience, it was dark and cozy. The interiors were old styled, seats were comfortable and the dining area was spacious.<br/><br/>Overall the buffet was average in taste and service was very poor, the staff literally irritated us and we literally had to play dumb charades to pass the time. None of the guys paid attention to us whether we wanted something or not until we called them.

We went to Sip and Dine for a lunch buffet. The starters were average, no Chinese starters in them. The beverages weren't cold enough. The main course was delicious. Hoping to try it again.

I went to Sip n Dine for the buffet. They have good variety but everything is just average. Service is very slow. The only good thing was their desserts.

He said yes & then vanished for another 20-25 minutes. <br/><br/>After that he finally came with some veg snacks which we sent back, reminded him about non veg snacks & told him that we are very upset, he had nothing to say. <br/><br/>In any other restaurant, we would have been done with a 4 course meal by now. <br/><br/>Anyway; he came with soft drinks (all flat, no fizz), we reminded him of starters & he took another 10 min to get us one small serving of chilly chicken. When we asked for chicken tandoori or at least more serving of chilly chicken, he said we only serve main course till 3 & that if he will get more snacks, we wont be able to have main course and advised us to go for main course now 😐😠 (just to let you know it was 2.30 pm, thats one hour since we arrived & most of this one hour was spent waiting for snacks to come).<br/><br/>We were speechless & didn't want to create a scene so didn't argue much.<br/><br/>We proceeded for main course where almost all dishes were empty, only some gravy was left with very few mutton pieces. The desserts only had leftovers (even though most of the tables were empty). We didn't eat 🤐<br/><br/>Finally proceeded out of the place and ended up eating bhatura chanaa at sindhi 😒<br/><br/>Sip N Dine is not recommended at all. <br/><br/>I regret choosing this place over Kelong, Tao etc which had similar prices. 😫

The lunch buffet is really okay-ish nice! The starters had a good variety and were nice. The main course was okay-ish again. The best out of the lot was the Dal Makhani that the place offered! Nothing too special but a decent meal. The deserts were limited for pure vegetarians. The hospitality was nice. Breads weren't that great!

Went in to try their buffet.<br/>This was my first time at this outlet.<br/>They had 6 varieties of starters (4 veg 2 non veg).<br/>I liked only the cutlets and paneer tikka.<br/>The main course and starters were okayish but less on variety.<br/>Desserts arent that good, nothing special.<br/>But its the soup which is great. They wont serve fried noodles with soup but if you ask for it they do give it though it can take some time for them to get them to table.

This place is like a second home to me. With their easily available discount books, the deal gets irresistible. Starters are good- Seekh kebab(veg, chicken and mutton) is always in order, the stuffed tangri kebab is also one of the best options. The main course menu is good from dal makhni to roganjosh from paneer butter masala to chicken masala everything is good. Good starters though there is less variety in non-veg starters.  Service was okay. Main course not so good as chicken, mutton & fish gravies tasted more or less the same. Have rated it 4 since I had a coupon which reduced the cost to 180. Worth your money if you are not spending more than 300.

Great value for money! Everything was just perfect. Great ambience, quick and prompt service, courteous staff and food was awesome. We had veg buffet and from snacks to dessert whatever they served was really nice.

I have been visiting here very often what i like here is the pocket friendly and mouth watering food. Though the variety of dishes and snacks are limited but its simple and tasty thats all you need. One big negative i found here is the slow service. Hoping to be improved by the next visit.

Went there for a team lunch with a group of around 30 people. The overall arrangements were quite good and value for money if you have the trideal coupons.everyone enjoyed and we had good time.

It was really a very bad experience having lunch in this restaurant. I had 2 of my friends along for a treat but the experience was hopeless as the food was finished .<br/>I had purchased 3 coupons from groupon for Rs.375 each that includes unlimited non veg snacks and unlimited buffet. The snacks part was still okay, but the main course was really horrible. We entered the place at 2 pm.We started our main course but the shameful part was when we were serving ourselves, we saw only bits and pieces of the mutton were left. A salad that had pineapples coated with some white sauce, was finished. The chocolate cake kept in the desert area just had scrambled pieces that were left by others. When i told the waiter to fill in the used over items, he said its already 3 pm and lunch timings are till 3 pm. So they have nothing more.<br/><br/>Yes i do agree the Sip'n Dine have mentioned their timings till 3pm but my question is people who are being seated and served shouldn't they be given the proper sevice? Mentioning table time 2 hours, entered at 2 pm so time for us would be 4 pm but before that the restaurant says they had no more servings of certain dishes and deserts make it really frustrating and horrible experience.<br/>I will definitely never want to visit this place anymore and i'll tell others about this experience. Hopeless.

Good ambience, reasonable food, a great bunch of friends and some coupons made it a great outing. The only thumbs down is service. They are too slow and sluggish!

Its a nice place with a quite and decent ambience best suited for the family. We came to about thru a friend who gave us the coupon book for Sip n Dine. <br/><br/>The service is very poor food quality is good. Pricing is a bit high. But we used coupons so never mattered.

We went to Sip N Dine for dinner and drinks. The ambience is good, but the food was average and the service was a bit slow. Need more choices in the Veg main course.

Sip 'N' Dine is the apt place for those who need an economical buffet with a good quality of food....We went there for having a lunch and there was not much crowd.<br/>I would say the service is a bit slow but the quality of the snacks was perfect <br/>The best part of this buffet is UNLIMITED DRINKS!!!!! HOWEVER, for mock-tail lovers don't try to order BANANA Bonkers!!! I liked the place and the food. Went their with my parents and our overall experience was really nice. We ordered Spring Rolls and Fish for snacks, the Spring Rolls were not too greasy, and the Fish was well cooked.<br/>The mains had the 'usual' Daal and Chicken and Vegetable and Breads.<br/><br/>The food was tasty, less spicy (as we had ordered), well cooked chicken and the breads were brought out as we polished off the previous ones ;) (so never cold)<br/><br/>Nice place to go (on a weekend), don't know about the crowd over the weekdays.

good restaurant keep the price range in mind i bought a non veg buffet coupon from groupon of only rs 325 <br/>they serve 4 veg items n 3 chicken items<br/>if you a a foodie n also keep an eye on your pocket than thats the place for u <br/><br/>they got a hell of lot varieties <br/>only drawback is that their service kinda suck waiters are not willing to work as if they are not been given propers wages to work<br/><br/>but in 325 what else u can get in which u can eat as much as u want<br/><br/>so if u are bunch of guys be there

Service was very slow and food served was not fresh and warm even. I heard lot from my friends about the food quality but I didn't found it impressive.<br/>I went for buffet - Snacks served were not fresh. The waiters were even not clearing the table immediately. The menu items promised were not available as the couple of Mocktails which were present on the list were not available.<br/>I was very much disappointed by the service and food standards served.

"Sip" n "dine" located in sector 7 chandigarh has come up with new trending style of service-"Buffet"<br/>I purchased a coupon of 250rs from groupon.co.in through which i can avail a lunch veg/non-veg buffet without snacks with unlimted softdrinks and one brewed drink..or either it would had cost me 600rs for the same..<br/><br/>the restaurant is quite old in the city but still had maintained its ambiance..it has seperate BAR in the restaurant itself with bar stools chairs..the BAR has nice wide range of displays of liquers..<br/><br/>when we entered the restaurant no one greeted us or enquired about no. of PAX ...<br/>we had to find our table at own..the waiters were in their own joy and even on calling,avoided the call..<br/>after few moments a waiter arrived at table and we handed him the coupon code..the waiter enquired about the vegetarian or non-veg choice of us..after few moments he served us fresh chicken monchow soup at the table...the soup was excellent in taste!! full of flavors..after the soup we moved towards the main course..the buffet counter area was little congested and to my surprise none of the items had their name cards displayed so i had to guess what was i eating...the buffet had 4non veg items- 2chicken preps and one mutton and one of fish...there was also a non veg salad(meat pieces coated in white sauce)..the vegetarian counter had paneer preperation,dal makhani,pasta,and other ones..each of items i ate were nicely prepared and meat was tender with quality gravy...compliments to chef...i enjoyed the main course with nice fizzy soft drinks which enhances the taste..the assorted breads arrived at table on time ..we opted for butter naan and missi roti...naan i found was not cooked properly but missi roti was good in taste..<br/><br/>there was seperate dessert counter just oppositte to main course counter..i was already full with the main course so had to only taste the desserts..there were 4 different flavors of ice cream kept but lacked in keeping the chocolate sauce..<br/>they served hot gulab jamun which was soft and nice in taste..i saw nice range of desserts presented in small glassware like shot galsses with nice toppings...i was full at that moment so i couldnt taste them....<br/><br/>what i find is the buffet was more than worth for rs 250...but nothing worth without the deal which would have been rs600..<br/><br/>OVERALL-good quality food to enjoy with family or friends..

Sip n Dine has a reputation of being more s a shady tavern kind of place than a fine dining restaurant. You mostly get to see groups of men sitting and drinking there even during afternoon hours. <br/><br/>The feel of the place is dark and dingy. Nothing great here.<br/><br/>Staff and service is just average, the kinds you would expect from such an average place. <br/><br/>Food is also just ok. Nothing to admire really..<br/><br/>This place runs mostly because its famous with the kitty group as they have made small halls in the back and give them out of kitty parties and birthdays. At these kind of do's though the food is average, they really have a lot of service and someone or the other just keeps coming up and serving you something or the other every minute or so. Kids have ample space to run around in these mini party halls during birthday parties and being pretty cheap, a lot of people have started hosting kitty parties and birthday parties here.<br/><br/>Otherwise, there is no reason to specially visit and eat at this place.
