Heard about this shop with local people, so thought to tried today.
I ate dahi bhalla papri chat and aloo tikki , both were good in taste.yummy😋😋
Not just Another name in the sweets shops society but a name that has made a name for itself. Their kachori and samosa are the products which have made them famous. I have been having their kachoris for some years now and i must say they are different and crispy. A must have for spicy food lovers.
Delicious mouth watering onion kachori prefect for rainy evening must visit lassi sweets GOL Gappa all products are tasty but kachoris outstanding
If you have not had their kachoris you are missing out on a lot. They have made it to my favorite. Also,Ras malai here is must have.Genuinely the best ever.
Tikki was fine. I wish they added green chutney to it. The shop is a little on the pricey side but since they offer quality so it's okay.
This place deserves a 5star for it's kachori. I have been eating kachoris from here for last 20 years and there isn't a a single match for their kachori in whole chandigarh.
Next thing is chat papri, that's another good option to have, if you're there. fresh dahi, bhalla, and amazingly flavoured chutney❤. give it a try!!
Sweets at this shop is average.
One of the best Samosa And Kachori I’ve had in Tricity
This place is I guess One of the under rated Food joints in Chandigarh. The owner and the staff is really humble, The place is clean and hygienic. Almost everything is Made fresh and Along with that they have 2 tables for you to devour your snacks. They also serve aloo Tikki, Chaat, Gol gappe and a lot More. It was a beautiful evening after rain
What I had:
2 Kachori: Couldn’t stop at 1 so I had to have two of their onion and pea Stuffed Kachoris Which To My Luck Was Just prepared. They are amazing and with the sweet Chutney that crispy little treat is a bliss in the monsoon weather or when you want to have one
.
Samosa: Small Samosa Stuffed with Potato and peas It was also good crispy and fresh
.
Bhalle Papdi: This was a Mixture or Sweet and spicy, The Bhalle were really soft served with crispy papdi, and mixed with sweet Curd and extra spicy green Chutney
.
All of that coasted 110₹
Totally worth the Money. Do try this place out And Let Me know how was your experience
.
Food:4/5
Service:4/5
Budget:170 for 2 Approx
Value for Money:5/5
The best Sweets shop in chandigarh.
To tickel your taste buds, just try their samosas & kachori's, specially pyaz wali. You'll love it.
& on the plus side, They maintain quality and hygiene religiously.
This place serves amazing aalu pyaaz kachoris, paneer pakoras and samosas.
Perfect for the fried snacks on a rainy day.
I am not a huge fan of their sweets.

Had amazing dal and pyaz kachori ..musttry if u visit nearby sector 18☺....fresh, crispy, hygienic place, amd fresh mithai... But love there kachori... Will visit again only for kachori
When it comes to pyaz kee kachoris this guy is like Usain bolt , simply unbeatable. It cent percent on tast , quality , hygiene. Ghewar in season is good. Rest everything is simple like the ones you get in any other sweet shop. MUST TRY "SHIV KEE PYAAZ KACHORI".
The rating in its entirety is due mainly to the kachoris (dal as well as onion ) and partly to the samosas. Have been having their kachoris since I was a kid and nothing beats them.
Not really fond of samosa's but loved their samosa and kachori.. Gud place for a tea time bite with friends..
Suggestion - start serving tea please.
had craving for tea after eating samosa's and kachori, but cudn't find 1 tea seller in that market :(
must stop if you happen to cross this market!!!
With outlets spread across all over Chandigarh and Panchkula, Shiv mishtan is the only place which serves the most authentic Rajasthani kachoris. Although it is a sweets shop and generally it should be known for its sweets, but since the time of its existence , Shiv is popular for its desi ghee tikki and kachori.
In the corner of the sector 18 market, one can always find young and old people crowded around the tikkiwala which serves pure desi ghee tikkis enriched with dry fruits and glazed with Khajur chutney.
Note for those who can't handle heavy foods, please don't go for the full serving, either share it with someone or get the half serving, since it is pretty heavy on stomach and has a dizzying effect.
My personal favourite are the kachoris. You may get peethi kachori everywhere, but pyaz kachori has a well defined uniqueness at Shiv Mishtan. Although the dal/peethi kachori is also equally good. The kachoris of Shiv are so popular that they are usually prepared in the evening and gets finished within half an hour. Literally selling like hot cakes!
As far as sweets are concerned, then before the times of bikanerwala and many others, the authentic Rajasthani sweets were served at this place only. Particularly the malpua and rajasthani sooji/besan laddoo still stand out above the rest.
Jalebis of shiv are equally worth savouring and what makes them more special for everyone is the fact that they are served only once in an year, and that is dussehra (as per the owner). Although have to check on this point by regularly visiting this place, this is totally unfair to those who couldn't make it to this place on dussehra.
Nice golgappe.. Currently.. The shop is half under renovation.. So only mithais, namkeens, golgappe, samosa and kachori were there.. It's a really old shop...
making the efforts of rating just for their kachoris :-)
I have never had any bad experience with the place and frequent the place some of the evenings to satisfy the craving for golgappas, paapdi chat, tikki and stuffed gol gappas. For those of you who don't know what golgappas are, its just another name for Pani puri..I have found sweets bought from this place also decent enough, especially the amratiyas and ladoos..There is no place to sit and eat, but the place is good enough to have a quick snack bite...
Fantastic kachoris. Chomp chomp and delicious sweets. Reputed brand in Chandigarh ????
This is quite an old establishment and its sweets are famous far. In my opinion if you are looking for some tasty Indian sweets for any occasion then this place is a good alternative to many options around. My review is not about their sweets only; I go there for my fried snacks like Samosa, kachori or gajjerella. One of the few good places in Chandigarh where you get all this rightly prepared. Though there is no rocket science to prepare it yet I don’t know why some places prepare these snacks better than others. I think it depends on the cook’s experience a lot in the sense that how spicy, how crunchy and how oily he makes it. It is good here for sure. The ambiance is very basic and minimal. Located adjacent to the booth market the visibility of the place is a bit hidden. The place is worth trying anytime for the snacks I mentioned above.
best place for sweets n snacks in tri-city love it very much when someone ask me about tasty kachori it is the only place in chd where we can get world's best kachoris. and to get best quality sweets one should rush to shiv misthan bhandar
thumbs up to smb ;)
I think anybody who has ever lived in Chandigarh knows about Shiv ki Kachori. Kachori never tasted so good before I ate here. It is not given with a allo ki sabzi or something but still it is irresistible. I don't even remember for how many years I am eating here.
Tikki, gol gappas, samosa, everything tastes good but Kachori's are mostly out of stock so you have to wait for them.
The sweets here are also very tempting. I thing every 2nd marriage that happens in chandigarh order there sweets from here.
It is not too heavy on either until you order for some super loaded dry fruit sweet. The only drawback is there is no place to sit.
A very trusted name in Chandigarh since old times. This place offers lip smacking savory items.
They always run out of Kachoris which is the most popular item here. You get two types: Onion Kachori and Dal Peethi Kachori. The chutney (dip) and the kachori is a combo to die for. And when you get such taste at just Rs. 12, what else can you ask for :)
Other yummy items here as follows:
Desi Ghee Tikki: Rs. 40
Gol Gappas: Rs. 20 for 6
Chat Papri: Rs. 35
All the above items are very tasty and hygienically prepared. Unlike other shops, here you get a good quantity of gol gappa paani if you opt for take away. It is clean and yummy.
Shiv Mishthan is also known for Dhokla.
Tried and tested name since my Dad's time.
Surely recommended :)
